Warm family home!

My wife and I grew up with dogs, and have fond memories of them that we often talk and laugh about. And now our children experience the joy as well. Dog sitting is something that has been a great solution for us. We have been on rover for over 11 years now, and we can honestly say we haven't had a bad experience yet. All dogs have gone home safe and happy! We've had several owners comment that their dogs are a little sad for a while when they had to leave here. We are all very experienced and comfortable around dogs and animals in general. We live in an expanded cape style home with a good size yard with woods with walking paths behind the house where we take dogs for walks frequently. The dogs really enjoy it, and it's nice to walk them in a more natural environment rather than pavement and traffic worries. Why I love dog sitting My wife and I grew up with dogs and some of our happy and humorous memories involved our dogs. Our children have all heard the stories, and now have a bunch of their own fun doggie memories and stories to tell. About my yard Our yard is fairly level with very mature pines and oaks. Mixture of sun and shade. Grass (and weeds!). Unfenced. There is a 100' overhead dog runner. My experience administering medication We have experience giving oral meds to dogs we've had through Rover. It's no problem. Although I did have a dog back in the day that made swallowing her pill quite a challenge!

Absolutely amazing! It was our first time leaving our dog with someone besides family so we were a bit nervous. They were so good. Sent us pictures and updates. Definitely would use them again.

Peter was an amazing host! Our pup was very well taken care of. We received pictures throughout the week giving updates on how she was doing. She came back home happy which hasn't always been the case with boarding her. Will absolutely use Peter again in the future. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a loving home for their pet!

Peter and his wife are the best! This was our first time using Rover, and they made everything easy. Brady had an amazing weekend snuggling up at their home. We loved getting daily pictures and reassurance that Brady was doing well. We hope to book with Peter again! Thank you!

Safety, trust & environment

We offer dog sitting in our home. We watch up to 2 dogs at a time, very occasionally 3. The dogs get plenty of attention and usually get a bit spoiled. We really enjoy having our dog friends here.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks We have side streets nearby that are popular with dog walkers. We also have a path through the woods behind our house that a dog would like to explore I'm sure. On a leash of course. Your dog's sleeping arrangement We can take your suggestion on that. We're a pretty soft hearted crew. The dog will probably get its way. Of course, if you have something specific in mind, that is welcome. Time I'll spend with your dog We are animal lovers. If your dog can take part in anything we may doing around here they are welcome to! If anything we'll probably have to make sure our two daughters don't play with the dog too much and let it rest!

We wouldn't want an aggressive dog around the children, especially our disabled son, who would not be able to protect himself. But even he has experience with dogs and enjoys them. We always send pictures and updates.
