About: I've been a dog sitter for over a decade, on top of having my own pets as well. I've watched dogs as small as shih tzus and yorkies, to dogs as big pit bulls and labs. I am pretty active and love to go on walks, and would love to bring your dog with me! I currently work from home, so I have lots of flexibility throughout the day to help take care of your pets! I am available for daytime walks or check-ins almost everyday, and available to house sit any time as long as you reach out in advance! I have house-sat for friends and family for over 10+ years, and feel very comfortable saying that I have always been a clean, respectful house guest. I am a non-smoker; and I would prioritize your comfort and privacy while staying in your home, ensuring your pet is well cared for when I am there.
“Rachael takes such good care of my cat. He's so comfortable with her and even gave her nose nuzzles. She gave him his shot like a breeze as always! And also cleaned his ears, very carefully. Another A+ visit!”

“Caroline was AMAZING!! She was completely attentive to my cat’s needs and personality, and it was clear from the great vids and photos she sent that our kitty was very happy in her care. ☺️ I will definitely book with her again!”

About: Hi! I am a Biomedical Sciences Pre-Vet Major at UNH, and have had animals my entire life. I have experience handling dogs of all ages (newborn to senior) which includes obedience training, grooming and raising. I've been the main caretaker of my dogs since I was 10 years old. I have experience pet sitting client dogs, cats, horses, goats and pigs, although I am new to Rover! Previously, I get clients through word of mouth and Facebook. I have 3 dogs, and have raised 3 litters of puppies! I have worked closely with a dog trainer/walker and have helped out before when her clients were in need of a sitter. Fostering dogs was also a big part of my life growing up, I helped home 14 dogs throughout my adolescence! There was a time where I even helped rehabilitate a baby bird! I have spent over 70 hours shadowing and interning at Bulger Veterinary Hospital in Lawrence (MA), getting practice handling and inspecting dogs and cats. I am currently a full-time student at UNH, but home for the summers! I am available most days of the week, but do work part time at an ice cream stand, and in the past I adjust my hours around my clients needs (to the best of my ability). When visiting a client's home, I always make sure to check with the client on where keys are kept, which doors are to be used/locked and the typical routine. I try to maintain a calm environment as to reduce the stress of the animal, by using a calm tone and keeping an eye on body language to maintain boundaries. I have my own car which expands the area in which I can take the dog for walks, while also allowing me to transport the animal in case of emergency. This past summer I enjoyed taking one of my clients to different walking trails and dog friendly locations throughout my area. At my own house, I utilize crates and baby gates to provide safe, calm, separate spaces for rest while also allowing the opportunity for play.
“Catherine was a great cat sitter for our mischievous kitty, Jasper. He bonded with her immediately during the meet and greet. Catherine’s communication throughout our trip was very clear and made us rest easy during our vacation! She sent us photos everyday too, which we really appreciated. This was our first time booking a sitter and it was a great experience! We would love to book Catherine again in the future. Thanks again, Catherine!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life and have worked at a horse barn for 4 years. You name it I’ll take care of it! I’m currently working part time but my work is pretty flexible if I get advance notice. I’ve been trying to build my pet sitting business so let me know! I care for animals in clients homes. I am insured and put forward the utmost effort to ensure both safety and fun for the animals in my care. My goal is to turn every interaction into a positive experience.
“10/10 would highly recommend booking with Natalie! This was my first time using a sitter for my cat and Natalie made me feel so much more at ease with the care she provided. She was super communicative, sent lots of pictures, and was flexible with my schedule. I'll definitely be booking again with her in the future!”

“Jupiter has been amazing! Often times, we would have to add or cancel day sitting sessions and Jupiter never had any problems with the change. Only reason we are leaving is because we were moving, otherwise we would keep Jupiter for our dogs entire life!”

“We loved having Julia for drop-in visits for our two dogs! One of our dogs, Chip, was recently adopted (<1 week), so we were nervous leaving him, but Julia took such good care of them and it gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. She was also very flexible with our different needs, such as feeding at evening drop-ins, followed all the instructions, was very responsive and sent lots of photos of each visit, which helped me worry less about Chip. I would definitely recommend Julia to care for your fur babies!”

“We were happy to find someone who is so comfortable with rats! Our girls got lots of attention while we were away, and our shy cat warmed up very quickly with her. Got lots of pics, which made the kids happy. Would recommend!”

About: I adopted my first dog in second grade. He was my responsibility and as I got older, I learned that I loved going for walks outside as much as my dog. Now that I'm older, I love taking friends' dogs for hikes in new locations. I have even managed to train one of my friend's reactive dog so she pulls on the leash less. I also briefly fostered animals when I was in graduate school. I am a teacher on summer break, so I have plenty of hours to devote to your pet and look forward to enjoying plenty of summer outside time with your dog. I have walked a wide range of dogs, including a couple of reactive pit bull mixes. I have experienced triggering situations with dogs and know how to either handle them or avoid them.
About: I’ve been pet-sitting for over 20 years! Neighbors, colleagues, family, and friends have relied on me to look after their pets during long and short intervals. Every pet parent knows what it’s like to need an extra hand with their pets, whether it’s an extra check-in or potty break for senior dogs and cats, to some couch time spent with them during a long trip. I like to make sure people come home to a happy pet and that they feel reassured of their pets’ safety and comfort while they’re away! I’m not working during the summer, which means I’m free anytime to spend quality time with your pets. I’m an early riser! Always happy to get a walk in before the sun heats everything up. From September to June I work in an elementary school, which leaves me with a lot of flexible time to walk dogs, cuddle cats, bring in the mail, water the plants, and anything else you need! I will take care of your pets and your home as if they were my own. That means safety is always my top priority for your creatures and your house. I will respect the rules of your house, and do my best to alleviate any concerns you have about being away- frequent check-ins, photo updates, etc. My goal is to provide maximum peace of mind for my clients.
“Liz is great, she sends great pictures and videos and is very informative with the updates. She gives the cats attention and lots of pets. I would definitely hire her again. Thank you so much Liz ❤️”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Billerica
Annabelle was wonderful! She took care of our 15-year-old dog with drop-in visits while we were away for a long weekend. Our dog can be nervous with new people, and Annabelle was incredibly patient and caring with her. She reached out to me a few times to ask if there was anything she could do to help make our dog more comfortable with her visits. I gave her a few suggestions, and she made sure to try them. By the end of the weekend, our dog had really started to warm up to her! Annabelle was very thorough with every visit and kept us updated while we were away. I really appreciated that she cared enough to ask questions and make the extra effort to ensure our senior dog was as comfortable and well cared for as possible. We felt very comfortable knowing she was in good hands and would absolutely recommend Annabelle!

Without a doubt, best sitter I’ve ever had. See my previous 5 star reviews. Alyssa is nothing short of amazing. If I died, I would trust her to take care of my pets for the rest of their lives, no question and no exaggeration. Begrudgingly, you should definitely book with Alyssa. Even if it might make her too busy for my own 💔

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
