Reliable and experienced!
Hi! I am an experienced pet owner (cats, dogs, and one mouse). I’ve also worked part time as a dog walker and pet sitter for dogs and cats at various points over the last 15 years, establishing great relationships with my clients who used my services on a regular basis. Years ago I helped care for my roommate’s adorable Cocker Spaniel, feeding him, playing with him, leash training/walking him, and administering medication. I also have experience caring for and walking larger dogs, like golden retrievers, labs (including a puppy), and labradoodles. As for other pets, I had a pet mouse from infancy to the ripe old age of 5. Currently, I have one lovable, floofy orange cat, who I trained to fetch, sit, and lay down. He’s very “dog-like” and never leaves my side. I want nothing more than to help your pet feel safe and comfortable while you are away!

I will care for your home and neighborhood as if it were my own, respecting your property and the property of others. I am careful to follow all instructions you provide to ensure your pet is well taken care of when I visit. When visiting a client’s home, I make sure pets have what they need (fresh water, fed on time, clean litterbox, potty breaks and walks). As a pet owner myself, I appreciate when pet sitters spend time with my pet in addition to providing for my pet’s basic needs, so if you would like me to visit with them and play with them in addition to other responsibilities, sign me up!

This was the second time Melanie pet sit for us and our experience was just as good as the first time. Melanie is dependable, communicative, and will take care of your pets like they are her own. We will 100% be rebooking next time we are out of town. I can’t say enough good things about Melanie!

This was Beau and Arrow's first walk with Melanie. She was on time and did great with both dogs. They came back satisfied and ready for an afternoon nap. We'll request Melanie again.
Mel is absolutely wonderful! She’s not only reliable and caring with our dog, but also incredibly attentive and communicative. She keeps us updated every day, which gives us great peace of mind. What really stands out is how observant she is—she notices little things that we would have missed. For example, one day our garage door was accidentally left open, and she kindly reached out to confirm and then closed it for us. That level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail goes above and beyond just dog walking. We feel very lucky to have her and can’t recommend her enough!

Schedule
Right now my schedule is very flexible. I can do most days and times between Monday and Saturday, house sitting, check ins, or dog walking.
