About: I grew up with many pets (cats, dogs, fish, turtles, hamsters, birds...) and cared for neighbors pets and have been professionally caring for pets the past 3 years. I work as a music teacher afternoons (3:00-6:00/7:00/8:00) during the week (except Fridays). I am also available weekends. I can care for your pet in your home while you're away. I can administer some medications like pills and eye drops if your pet requires them

About: I've always loved animals and have experience caring for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and fish. Although I haven't owned a dog myself, I've spent years helping neighbors and friends by feeding, walking, playing with, and caring for their pets while they were away. I've also house sat for a home with three cats, making sure they stayed on their normal routine and received plenty of attention and affection. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and comfort level, so I take the time to learn their routine and follow your instructions carefully. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or just sticking to a familiar schedule, I'm happy to provide the care they need. I'm dependable, patient, and attentive to details, and I know how important it is to keep pet owners updated. I'll always treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would my own. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and pet care throughout the week. I enjoy spending time with animals, so I make sure each visit includes plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, or quiet companionship based on your pet's needs. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I'll do my best to maintain their regular routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), exercise routines, and any household rules you've established. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks unless in a designated enclosed area, and I pay close attention to their surroundings to keep them safe. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and work to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible. I'm happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pets are happy and well cared for while you're away.

Corrine is a blessing. I injured myself and was unable to walk my pup, she responded to a last minute request, had her own supplies, and walked him far enough that when he came home, he was exactly how I like him to be, exhausted. I will definitely use her services again.

About: No matter what I do, I can't stop taking care of other creatures! In my profession I am a psychotherapist to humans, and in my downtime I am a playmate to animals. I love nature almost as much as your dog does, and I would be honored to take your pups to the nearby conservation land, body of water, or around your very own neighborhood. I have the perfect mix of enthusiastic readiness to play and the calmer energy required to wind everyone down when needed. I work at my desk job part-time over the summer (2x weekly) and create my own schedule. I am extremely flexible and happy to work with you to create a schedule that works for both of us! I am open to caring for pets in your home, neighborhood, and the surrounding area! I have a car with a large cabin, and am able to transport your pet for further away adventures if desired. At your home, I am happy to provide feeding, potty breaks, walks, medication administration, basic grooming / baths, and of course, lots of playtime!

About: Dogs and cats have always been a part of my family. My husband and I currently have three rescue dogs. I am patient & kind, but firm—qualities I developed over 24 years as a first-grade teacher. I respect that everyone (people and animals) has unique qualities and needs. When friends and family go away, I always care for their dogs. I work part-time, so I have a lot of availability to care for your pets. Whether your pets need walks, playtime, feedings, or overnight care, I'm here for you. My three dogs have the run of the house, but they don't like to share, so I will come to your home to care for your fur baby.

About: As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you trust. I provide reliable, loving care tailored to each pet’s needs, from playful puppies to senior dogs. You’ll receive regular photo updates, and your pet will be treated like family while you’re away I currently work as a health care worker. I enjoy taking care of everyone and want to spend my free time taking care of and playing with furry friends . My hours are short I am available to pet sit on the weekends. Caring for pets, whether in my home or my client's home, involves a tailored approach to ensure their comfort, safety, and happiness. Here's how I manage each setting: ### In My Home: 1. **Home Environment:** - **Safe and Comfortable Space:** My home is pet-proofed with designated areas for sleeping, eating, and playing. I ensure there are no hazards, and pets have access to comfortable bedding and toys. - **Regular Cleaning:** I maintain a clean environment with regular cleaning routines to prevent the spread of germs and keep the space pleasant. 2. **Routine and Care:** - **Feeding Schedule:** I follow the pet's regular feeding schedule and dietary requirements, providing fresh water and high-quality food. - **Exercise and Play:** Pets get daily exercise through walks, playtime, and interactive toys. I ensure they have mental and physical stimulation. - **Training and Socialization:** If needed, I continue with any training routines and offer socialization opportunities with other friendly pets in a controlled setting. - **Health Monitoring:** I keep an eye on the pet's health, checking for any signs of discomfort or illness, and administering medications if necessary. ### In Client's Home: 1. **Familiar Environment:** - **Home Visits:** I make scheduled visits to the client's home, ensuring the pet remains in a familiar environment, which can reduce stress. - **Pet Comfort:** I follow the pet's usual routines and keep their familiar items (like toys, beds, and bowls) in place to maintain comfort. 2. **Routine and Care:** - **Customized Care:** I adhere to the pet's specific care instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and medication administration. - **Exercise and Play:** I take the pet for walks, engage in playtime, and provide mental stimulation through games and activities. - **Household Duties:** I handle additional tasks like bringing in the mail, watering plants, and ensuring the home is secure. - **Regular Updates:** I provide the pet owner with updates, photos, and videos, ensuring they are informed about their pet's well-being. ### Common Practices: - **Emergency Preparedness:** In both settings, I am prepared for emergencies, with knowledge of nearby veterinary clinics and a well-stocked first aid kit. - **Communication:** I maintain clear and open communication with pet owners, addressing any concerns and keeping them informed about their pet's activities and health. By adapting my approach to the specific needs of each pet and the preferences of their owners, I ensure that pets receive consistent, high-quality care whether they are in my home or their own.

About: Since I was a kid I was surrounded by animals! At 7 years old I was given then responsibility to take care of my own life long best friend I named Sandy, who grew up with me for 15 years until 2021. Throughout the time and especially after I have always jumped at the opportunity to take care of my friends and family’s pets! Some of my favorites are my older sister’s three energetic pups: Benjamin, Buttons and Bleu who love to run in the yard and play ALL day! I also love taking care of my other sister’s two cats: Lulu and Phoebe who enjoy a quiet night in full of cuddles and head scratches! I also spend a lot of time dog sitting my best friend’s 1 year old Boxer who is full of energy and loves treats! In the summer of 2023 we went on daily walks around the neighborhood and on special occasions we would go on Starbucks Pup-cup runs which she loved! Overall, I’ve been around dogs and cats of all ages and have had a lot of fun throughout it! Pet care fits into my schedule since I work remotely the majority of the week! I am also a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst which allows me to have a lot of flexibility with my class schedule! I have my own apartment which is quiet and pet friendly! I especially have tons of time on the weekend to take care of pets for a longer duration of time! I live at an apartment which is 100% pet friendly. It is surrounded by many side streets which are great for going on long walks and exploring the area. My apartment is quiet and has space for a crate if needed. I own pet bowls, dog and cat toys, and can be easily puppy or kitty proofed if need be!!

  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
