About: I Grew up with dogs and cats! I love any kind of animal. And my son does. He would be coming with me to play, feed or walk the animal. I’ve also had fish and iguana so I’ve had all different types of animals. I have a puppy sheepadoodle that is my baby! We love going to dog parks or just playing outside, playing fetch or tug a war. I am available every day, any time. I just moved here. I love pets and would love to occupy my time tending to your pets I always want to make sure they are comfortable and get to know me. I like to know their likes and dislikes so I can give them the best care.
“Michelle was absolutely great with our anxious pup, Stan, she listened to all of his needs/quirks when I explained them and then made sure she did everything to make sure he was comfortable and happy on his walks! We trust her fully and are so happy we found her!”

“I am always happy to hire Geoffrey for a walk around the neighborhood! He makes sure to give my dog some extra pats and check his water while I'm at work and I love getting the photo updates too.”

“Lucy was super detailed with her notes and photos! The dogs seemed to really love her, and she was super great at making me feel comfortable with my first time using Rover! Would highly recommend!”

About: Hi, I’m Sabrina! I’ve been caring for pets for 8 years, and nothing makes me happier than getting to know each animal’s unique personality. I work with both dogs and cats and have experience with everything from tiny puppies to slow‑moving seniors, from shy kitties to big, energetic dogs. I grew up in a family that owned two Shar‑Peis, so I’m very comfortable with stubborn, reactive, or strong‑willed breeds. I understand body language, thresholds, and how to build trust with pets who need a little extra patience. Whether your dog is still learning manners or your cat prefers a quiet observer, I meet every animal where they are. I currently have a very open schedule, so pet care fits easily into my day. I’m home most of the time and can adjust to your pet’s routine, whether you need morning, midday, or evening visits. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay relaxed in a familiar space. I follow your routines exactly, keep your home secure, and double‑check doors and gates before leaving. I’m respectful of your space and send updates so you always know your pet is safe and comfortable.

About: Along with growing up with two dogs and helping to raise a puppy as a teenager, family friends and neighbors have relied on me to take care of their dogs and cats since I was ten. I've worked with all types of dogs, from Shih Tzus to Pit Bull mixes. I'm the one in my family who takes the dogs out on long hikes (or for short walks around the block once they get older), brushes their teeth and fur, gives them baths, and trims their nails. I'm a regular volunteer at cat shelters in cat care, and as a student on the pre-veterinary track, I have shadowed and volunteered at vet clinics to better understand the care that goes into your pets' health. Besides dogs and cats, I also have experience with a myriad of animals, such as hamsters, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, mice, fish, hermit crabs, geckos, snakes, tortoises, and turtles. I have experience in preparing special diets for pets and other animals with specific health needs, and in senior dog care. Over the summer, I work at my internships in animal care for much of the work day, but that leaves afternoons, evenings, and early mornings for me to check in on your pets and give any care they need (breakfast/dinner, walks, baths, etc.). Over the school year, I will have more hours available to fit in more time with your pets (i.e. walking and bathing/grooming, more playtime, etc.). As a lover of all creatures, I take the safety of both pets and wildlife seriously. As such, I will always supervise pets that are outside in yards and keep them on leashes outside fenced-off areas so they are not a danger to others or themselves. If transporting pets in my car, I will keep them safe and secure in a carrier/crate. As a college student who has shared living spaces with new people before, I understand the importance of respecting others' belongings and boundaries. During drop-in visits, I will be sure to respect your home and any rules you may have for your comfort (i.e. no shoes in the house, specific dishes/silverware for pets only, general cleanliness, etc.).
“Royce is wonderful with Baz. She genuinely enjoys the time she spends with him and cares about him. She’s also very helpful and accommodating with schedule changes and special requests.”

“Kayla is a responsible and enthusiastic dog walker! Aurora can be a little wild, but Kayla can manage her without any problem. Aurora immediately liked Kayla and raced over to her for their walk. I'm sure Aurora is looking forward to many more walks with Kayla!”

“Tanya took such good care of Poppy! Poppy loved to see her come and happily went on the walks to roll in the grass and smell every little thing! Tanya had patience! Poppy will miss her!!!”

“Helena was wonderful with my older pooch. She sat with him and took him on a walk in the neighborhood to his favorite place, the mechanic's, where they gave him his usual cookie. Then she figured out a new game to keep him happy in the backyard: She would hide little pieces of kibble and let him sniff them out. I was 100% delighted with Helena's dog care, and will look forward to hiring her again soon!”

“Devika is fantastic! She is reliable and communicative and clearly loves dogs. Rishi was comfortable with her right away. She sent us photos and an update so we knew all was well. Definitely recommend.”

“All the 5 star reviews are accurate. Charlene is fantastic. She is super loving with our Labradoodle, who took to Charlene immediately. We’re so lucky to have found Charlene!”

“Alexandra was great! She responded quickly for availability and kept me updated frequently. Zeus loved her as well and he can be tricky sometimes! I would definitely book a walk with her again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lincoln
Francois was wonderful! He arrived at our house punctually, and our Bernese Mountain Dog followed him out for his walk with a strut in his step. He was just as happy when he returned home and sat at Francois' feet while we chatted. It's clear that Francois is a dog person, and our dog senses that. We will definitely reach out to him again when the need arises!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
