“Jess was great with our dog, Appa! He seemed to take to her right away and I know he appreciated the mid afternoon walk breaks while we were at work! She shared plenty of updates and photos from their walks!”

“Finley was AMAZING with Luna. Super punctual, kept me well updated with photos, and conscientious of my home. Finley came out for a meet & greet before the week of dog walking and did everything I asked to perfection. Thank you!”

About: Hi! I love animals and have always enjoyed spending time with pets. I’m reliable, patient, and happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping your pet company. I’ll make sure your pet is well cared for and gets plenty of attention while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule and am available throughout most of the week for pet care. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I am only available until 4:00 PM. I’m happy to work with you to find times that fit your pet’s routine and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible. I’ll follow all instructions, keep your home tidy and secure, and make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: We typically take 1-2 dogs at a time and include them in our daily routine. We have a large house with a big yard and multiple acres of conservation land abutting our house. We watch dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. Our three boys (middle school and high school) manage the dogs, their walkign schedule, feedings and Rover communication (with mom and dad's oversight). While this means teenage style communication is possible, it also leads to a LOT of attention from each child because they use Rover money to pay for their car insurance, phones, etc. Dad works from home and typically walks 3miles in the woods each day rain or shine. Mom is an avid runner and any dog interested in runs typically joins her for 3-5 miles. So plenty opportunity for exercise! Dogs join us on adventures. Walks in the woods, soccer games, swimming in the lake. We work from home during the day and always with our dogs. When we run errands your dog can relax in the house or stay in a crate if they prefer. We typically take 1 long walk per day and 1-2 shorter walks after school with the kids. Dogs can join or stay home depending on ability. During the day I work from a furnished barn on our property and your dog will join me there. I have bedding and toys available for them. I often am moving between the house and the barn which offers many opportunities for bathroom breaks and playing. Some dogs prefer hanging out in the house by themselves. Some sleep in my lap. I require all dogs to have a good call response. This is for their safety in a fun, yet foreign, environment and is also a requirement in our town.

“My puppy just loves Geoffrey and his visits! I am always grateful knowing my Bruno is in good hands with. Geoffrey sends plenty of photos and has even called me with questions before! Nothing but great things to say about Geoffrey!”
“Lucy was super detailed with her notes and photos! The dogs seemed to really love her, and she was super great at making me feel comfortable with my first time using Rover! Would highly recommend!”

About: My entire life I’ve taken care of dogs; in addition to experience growing up with family pets, both big & small, older and puppies, I also worked as a PetSmart pet hotel night staffer - feeding, walking, and keeping an eye on all pets the entire evening. I also gained valuable experience in college owning my own dog, ensuring I was always available for walks, playtime, and pets constantly throughout the day. I live with my fiancée so I have two people available for dog care. I work full-time as a Food & Beverage Manager at hotels in Boston and she works in banquets, so our schedules change every week and I am looking to get more dogs in my life on a day-to-day basis. A little extra cash is helpful, but most importantly we would love to have more dogs in our life 🙂 I have an apartment in a building that is incredibly pet-friendly. I also live directly next to a veterinarian as an added bonus. I also have a car and scooter and would happily go to any clients’ home.
About: Hi my name is Nick! I'm a proud dog dad to my baby girl Olivia and a big heart and admiration for dogs of all kinds. I've had the experience of both having and taking care of many dogs in my life, including Pugs, Labs, Great Danes, and mix breeds. My favorite dog activities are to go on walks and play fetch in parks with them. I try to be consistent with enforcing good behavior towards them, as well as making sure they're well taken care of within their environment. My typical routine involves going walks for about 30 minutes on average, going to the dog park to get some energy out, and checking to see if they have water and food in their bowls I'm usually available in the afternoons and evenings throughout most of week, mostly on weekends. My time periods are 30 minutes to an hour with dog walking for each visit. When taking care of dogs I make sure that they are well feed, that they're well comfortable at their home especially if the temperature is too hot or cold outside, and that everything is secure and well closed off so that they wouldn't run off from home.
“Michelle was a wonderful and communicative walker. She made me feel comfortable by accepting a meet and greet beforehand. My dog warmed up to her easily and the walk went nicely.”
About: I grew up with many pets (cats, dogs, fish, turtles, hamsters, birds...) and cared for neighbors pets and have been professionally caring for pets the past 3 years. I work as a music teacher afternoons (3:00-6:00/7:00/8:00) during the week (except Fridays). I am also available weekends. I can care for your pet in your home while you're away. I can administer some medications like pills and eye drops if your pet requires them
About: I have been surrounded by animals my whole life! In my household I currently have had a 6 year old Siberian Husky named Maya that my family and I work together to take care of. I have started my own small dog walking business in the past that I decided to part from to pursue my teaching career. I am also a former Wag employee. I am excellent at connecting with animals and find joy in spending time with them. I am respectful of any specific directions to accommodate your booking and extremely flexible in most situations. Excited to get connected soon! I work full time as a Lead Educator at Bright Horizons in Lexington Massachusetts. I am available on weekends and feel free to reach out about availability throughout weekdays as it varies. With my dog at my home I work towards making sure she always feels loved. Taking walks and playing with all her toys is the main way we spend our free days. A backyard with gates is always fun for fetch!
“Royce is wonderful with Baz. She genuinely enjoys the time she spends with him and cares about him. She’s also very helpful and accommodating with schedule changes and special requests.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lincoln
Francois was wonderful! He arrived at our house punctually, and our Bernese Mountain Dog followed him out for his walk with a strut in his step. He was just as happy when he returned home and sat at Francois' feet while we chatted. It's clear that Francois is a dog person, and our dog senses that. We will definitely reach out to him again when the need arises!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
