About: I stand out due to my years of experience specializing in special needs care, providing patience and expertise for unique feline friends. I'm also proficient in senior cat care and comfortable with basic kitten training reinforcement, cage training, and ensuring exceptional attention for all ages and needs. *For Dog Owners* I am happy to spend time with your pups and bring them on walks! I do not however walk dogs that pull constantly on a leash due to my chronic neck pain. So please keep that in mind when booking! :) Thank you! I am a veteran wedding photographer, working only with paint and brushes now. I have a very flexible schedule around my own two cats at home who are also cared for by my husband during my overnight care visits. My cats are indoor only and I enforce that rule in other homes. I stay with cats to make sure they eat safely and keep medicine down. Fresh water and litter is also a must!

We appreciated Kristina's enthusiasm in walking our 14-year-old Cockapoo, being also sensitive to his arthritic back legs. Charlie delighted in her walks. :)

About: Having recently lost my beloved yellow lab at 14, I find I miss our walks and the unconditional love that comes from being a dog mom. I've had dogs most of my adult life...labs are a favorite but I love them all. My daughter and my son each have two rescues who have all lived with us for periods of time. I am retired from the health club industry so my time is flexible. I am recently retired so I have a flexible schedule. I am available weekdays (7am-5pm) and some weekends. I live near conservations paths and the old reservoir which are both dog friendly places to walk. I am currently renting in Lexington so am unable to bring pets into my home, but I can go to clients homes to walk your pet.

About: I have been surrounded by animals my whole life! In my household I currently have had a 6 year old Siberian Husky named Maya that my family and I work together to take care of. I have started my own small dog walking business in the past that I decided to part from to pursue my teaching career. I am also a former Wag employee. I am excellent at connecting with animals and find joy in spending time with them. I am respectful of any specific directions to accommodate your booking and extremely flexible in most situations. Excited to get connected soon! I work full time as a Lead Educator at Bright Horizons in Lexington Massachusetts. I am available on weekends and feel free to reach out about availability throughout weekdays as it varies. With my dog at my home I work towards making sure she always feels loved. Taking walks and playing with all her toys is the main way we spend our free days. A backyard with gates is always fun for fetch!

Jess is incredibly kind and patient with my dog. My dog is sometimes slow to warm and very shy. Jess took the time to let him adjust. She goes above and beyond. My dog is high energy and Jess made every effort to make sure he ran and sprinted to get his energy out. Would definitely hire again!

About: Hi, I’m Sabrina! I’ve been caring for pets for 8 years, and nothing makes me happier than getting to know each animal’s unique personality. I work with both dogs and cats and have experience with everything from tiny puppies to slow‑moving seniors, from shy kitties to big, energetic dogs. I grew up in a family that owned two Shar‑Peis, so I’m very comfortable with stubborn, reactive, or strong‑willed breeds. I understand body language, thresholds, and how to build trust with pets who need a little extra patience. Whether your dog is still learning manners or your cat prefers a quiet observer, I meet every animal where they are. I currently have a very open schedule, so pet care fits easily into my day. I’m home most of the time and can adjust to your pet’s routine, whether you need morning, midday, or evening visits. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay relaxed in a familiar space. I follow your routines exactly, keep your home secure, and double‑check doors and gates before leaving. I’m respectful of your space and send updates so you always know your pet is safe and comfortable.

Francois was wonderful! He arrived at our house punctually, and our Bernese Mountain Dog followed him out for his walk with a strut in his step. He was just as happy when he returned home and sat at Francois' feet while we chatted. It's clear that Francois is a dog person, and our dog senses that. We will definitely reach out to him again when the need arises!

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
