As a pet parent, I felt much better knowing that my dog was both happier and in great hands! A very positive experience!”

“Julia was tremendous! Julia communicated well, arrived on time, and provided great care of Miley - she has a clear love for dogs. Would definitely rebook in the future!”

About: (she/her) I’m a relaxed and detail-oriented person who is excited to meet you and your pet! I love animals and will make sure yours gets the best care when you can’t be there. I have grown up around dogs most of my life, including two deaf and partially blind Aussies. Each pet has their own personality, habits (good and bad), and routines. I look forward to getting to know your pet and what you want to see for them each day to stay active, engaged, and healthy. I regularly dogsit for close friends for a week or more at a time and I’m well-attuned to local hazards to watch out for, such as the reactive dog in the neighborhood, salt on the sidewalks, and trash in the street. I do work a full-time job. While my schedule is hybrid and somewhat flexible to add in local walks or drop-in visits, my Rover profile is primarily set up for occasional weekend stays. I’m happy to coordinate with you on a case-by-case basis to figure out what works best for daily visits or a longer house stay. I have great attention to detail and am willing to learn each pet’s unique needs and routines. I have lived with and around many pets over the years and I understand the level of attention it takes to keep everyone safe, out of trouble, and happy.

I have also been hired by neighbors to watch after cats and fish while they were away on longer trips. I worked briefly as a dog daycare attendant, but now work as a writer at home, and am thrilled by the opportunity to help you care for your wonderful furry family. Pet care is my main priority throughout the week and weekends, and I write in the mornings and evenings. However I can be of assistance, I will! I have my own dog, Luna, a 35 pound mixed-breed rescue, and I treat her like family, because she is family! I would be honored to discuss how you care for your pets, and what I can do to make them feel at home as I help look after them.

Francois was wonderful. Our dog, Gabe, is quite shy and nervous, especially in new situations. Gabe stayed in Francois's beautiful home for the day and came back looking happy and not even remotely stressed. Will definitely recommend Francois to anyone with anxious animals; he has such calm energy, and I believe Gabe was comfortable the whole day!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
