“Audrey is a great sitter for my cats. She even took care of my tanks too. My cats are safe and happy. I got informed everyday and never got worried for my babies. I will definetly book her again”

“I can’t say enough good things! He was super communicative from start to finish and followed all of Jayda’s medication directions perfectly. Since she’s a senior dog who needs a lot of extra help, I really appreciated the way he went above and beyond to keep her comfortable and help her get around. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. Definitely booking with him again — highly recommend!”

“This is the second time Laura has stayed with our two pups, at our home, and we cannot thank her enough for taking such good care of them! She is so considerate and goes above and beyond. We were able to enjoy time away with our granddaughters without any worries. Thank you again Laura! Looking forward to our next vacay!”

“Andreina and Mercedes always take incredible care of our 2 babies! They send updates and pictures throughout the day. Whenever we go on vacation, we always leave feeling at peace knowing we can fully trust them.”

About: Hi, My name is Michael M. I just moved backed home to Miami. Since my first memories we have always owned dogs. My mom had a habit of picking up stray dogs. Her heart always broke when she saw a furry defenseless dog begging for food or needing shelter. My mom's big heart exposed me to many types of dogs all different sizes and temperament. I have been dog sitting for a while now and it's one of my favorite things to do. I am a realtor and I am able to work from home during the day while clients are working and when I am away it's for only a few hours at a time. I have a fenced yard. Like I said my dog loves social interaction with other friendly doggies and would love to find friends he could play with. I am a real estate agent with my office at home. I will be able to watch over them while they play.
“I had a fantastic experience with Macenna. She took such warm, attentive care of my dog—it was clear from the start that my pup felt comfortable and happy. I especially appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. On top of that, my home was left spotless and well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Jackie is such a pleasant person and an excellent care taker for our Megan and Saber and our home. We are blessed to have her in our lives. We cannot wait to have her back! Highly recommended.”

“Aleja is a treasure. She took such good care of my boy. She communicated throughout her stay with him soy that I had nothing to worry about. Of course I'll ask for her help again!”

“Monica was great! Took care of our 4 month old golden over the weekend and sent us regular updates which was much appreciated. She was super respectful of our apartment, leaving it cleaner than when she arrived.”

“Erika is amazing, we couldn’t have asked for more! Our dog can be a handful to walk but she had no problems! We got pictures every night and the pets looked happy to be spending time with her.”

“Denys took amazing care of our dog Rocky while we were away. He was reliable, caring, and kept us at ease knowing Rocky was in great hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for dog. Highly recommend!”

“Connie did an amazing job looking after our dog and our home while we were away! Our dog, Layla, is a bit older and has her own little quirks, so we are always a little anxious leaving her. However, Connie was so patient and gentle that she got Layla to warm up to her in no time. Connie maintained fantastic communication throughout the entire stay, sending lots of updates and sweet photos that completely put our minds at ease. On top of the incredible pet care, she took wonderful care of our house as well. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Connie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and caring pet sitter.”

“Mia did such an amazing job with Milo and Theo. She was prompt with responding to my messages and communicating if she was running late. My Theo got an upset tummy and she was proactive to communicate with me and give him some medicine I had in the house. I came back and my home was how I left it any boys were happy to see me. I would definitely book with her again.”

“Nicole was excellent! This was the first time we have ever had an overnight house sitter and she did a great job taking care of our two male Shar Peis. She even came by a couple days in advance to meet them briefly so that they would be comfortable with her on the actual evening!”

“I HIGHLY recommend working with Lux (Emily B.). We needed a last minute cat sitter to come do a house stay. We were hesitant about leaving because our elderly cat had recently gotten injured, but Lux kept a careful eye on them the whole time and sent regular updates and sweet photos. They are kind, communicative, responsible, and genuinely love animals. They even stayed a bit longer than required to make sure our cat had company till we got home. So thoughtful, we will definitely be working with them again!”

About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats my whole life. My 16 year old pitbull/american bulldog mix Riley was the light of my life. She passed away in April and I’m not ready yet to adopt again. Recently I have been watching my friends dogs for company at home because my apartment feels so empty without her. I have experience with both senior dogs and puppies and reactive dogs as well. I also have experience with administering medication and caring for dogs with special needs. I am responsive around the clock- I work full time in Marine Operations at Norwegian cruise line so I am always available by phone and you will never have difficulty reaching me. Monday through Thursday I usually go to the office from about 7am - 2pm. If a dog I’m caring for needs more attention I usually just take some work from home days. Otherwise we would have a nice long sunrise walk before I leave home at 7 and an afternoon walk upon my arrival at 2:30 ish. If your dog enjoys car rides I would also love to take them on adventures to get coffee, or visit my parents (they live just 10 blocks from me). It’s really whatever your dog is accustomed to I will provide. I live in a spacious apartment 1 bed 2 bath. My building has a dog park in the complex, but I prefer to walk in my neighborhood. It’s a beautiful area with lots of waterfront and grass in front of the homes for exploring. In my apartment, Dogs are allowed on all the furniture but if that’s not allowed in your house I won’t encourage it.
“Andrea is absolutely amazing! My cat, Archie connected with her right away and seemed completely comfortable the whole time. She kept me updated with plenty of photos and took care of everything I asked for. She treated my apt with respect, left everything clean and tidy when she left and went above and beyond to make sure Archie was happy. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. highly recommend!”

“Vanessa is the best! My girls know her well as she has cared for them several times and always does an exceptional job with them. I am grateful that when I am traveling, I have no worries that my pups are in excellent hands. I appreciate getting daily reports, pictures and videos.”

“Nick was fantastic and took great care of our dog and our place. Very communicative - lots of great photos! And flexible when our flight was cancelled and we had to return one day later than planned. We would absolutely work with him again.”

“Attentive, trustworthy miracle-worker! I needed a sitter last minute and Kelsey responded right away. She brings her dog with her and was very upfront about that. She was also very thoughtful about ensuring the dogs met in a way that was the least stressful for them (and me!). She arrived early to spend time with Merlin and chat with me, which was much appreciated. I felt completely comfortable with her taking care of Merlin and being in my home. She was very kind and clearly very attentive to Merlin, even playing bird songs to relax and distract him. He has separation anxiety and normally howls, barks, and paces when I leave. He had no trouble with Kelsey though and seemed very relaxed when I got home. It was amazing! I would absolutely recommend her.”

Jacqueline was absolutely wonderful taking care of our boy! She accepted our last minute booking without hesitation and even made time for a last minute meet and greet, which we really appreciated. Throughout her stay, she kept us updated with messages and photos, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. When we got home, our place was clean and organized and we left it. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Jacqueline to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again for our next trip!

We could not be more grateful for Tara and her AMAZING care of our 2 dogs Luca and Bonnie. They can be a handful and she was an absolute PRO with them! She kept them thoroughly entertained with lots of games of fetch and exploring around our neighborhood. We also got the BEST and most thorough updates 3 times a day with tons of cute pictures and videos. Cannot say enough about how amazing she is. Her communication is a 10/10 and we couldn’t be more grateful for her help taking such great care of our pups! Have already recommended her to many of our friends, would highly suggest you book her for any of your pet needs!!!

I had a fantastic experience with Macenna. She took such warm, attentive care of my dog—it was clear from the start that my pup felt comfortable and happy. I especially appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. On top of that, my home was left spotless and well cared for. Highly recommend!

Anna was amazing! I had family wedding to attend and my frenchie ended up with an eye ulcer in the weeks before. She’s with a cone and requires 4 eye meds multiple times a day. I was so nervous to leave my girl! But, Anna was organized and attentive. She sent me constant updates and she learned about my dog’s condition in order to best care for her. She left my apartment spotless. I would 100% use her again and completely trust her.

I highly recommend booking Mia! She did a house stay with our cat for over a week, and we had total peace of mind because she was so communicative and sent regular detailed updates. She also spent a ton of quality time with our cat, it’s clear that she really loves animals. And she took great care of the house and left it clean. Thanks again Mia!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Bay Village walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Bay Village maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Bay Village choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
