Initially I was very excited to book with Mona. The reviews sold me. I came in for a weekend and asked Mona to sit with my puppy while I spent time with my friends. I booked Mona ahead of time, over 30 days prior to arrival. The week of she informed me that she was double booked and asked to step away for 2 hours while she attended to an event for family. I told her yes because my puppy could lay down for a nap. (This was the first red flag and I should have just canceled). Being that I was excited about previous reviews and she was a 5 star I kept the booking. Thursday comes and she arrives seems very nice I explained things to her about my dog. Through out the time there she just did not seem very interested or engaged with my dog. Mona came to my hotel to watch her which there is not much grass, I explained this is her that there was a park a few blocks up where my dog could go potty. In my opinion she didn't want to walk that far up, maybe a 5min walk. Thursday I requested when she left to cover my my dog crate with blankets, close the blinds, turn the off because that lets my dog know it's time for bed. My dog is crate trained. She left the tv loud, the blinds wide open and did not cover the crate so I had to lean my event because my dog whined for over 45 min until I made it back. I gave her another chance on Friday. Friday she informed me she had to leave early band would be back around 8:30 or sooner because as previously mentioned she double booked herself. I let her leave early because I was getting my make up done and I was there with my dog. I asked Mona to stay until 11/11:30pm. Mona did not arrive back to my hotel until after 9:30, she did not communicate she would be late at all. I have a camera to watch my dog when I'm gone and I saw her arrive. Prior to her coming we communicated via text and not once did she mention she would be late. My dog often does not eat until 9-9:30pm, I asked Mona to please try and feed her before she leaves, since she was in her crate for 3 hours. When Mona arrived after 9:30 she did not feed her nor walk her for a sufficient amount of time to try and potty. I know because I have time stamps on my camper from the time she arrived to when she came back in the hotel. Mona left before 11pm. She also left the tv on again and barely covered the crate. My dog did not eat until I got home at almost 2am. I was at another event and was unable to leave it early. I did hear my dog whine on camera for about 20min but she settled down. While Mona was in the hotel she turns the camera around and I heard my dog crying "something she typically doesn't do". My wife got on camera speaker and asked Mona to turn the camera back around ad she stated Mona had an attitude. Mona left early that night. She was supposed to come back Saturday but I canceled because the service she provided was unacceptable. My dog is a puppy and loves to play she was not very play with her whole together. I ended up getting another sitter for Saturday and it was day and night. From the moment the other sitter arrived she engaged with my dog and I could tell the connection and energy was different. I would be very cautious to book with Mona, if you are thinking about it. I normally don't do reviews but after using rover several times this had been my worst experience. I'm giving a two star simple because she showed up.

She was great with our pup when we went away for a long weekend, we would definitely book with her again!

She was great! Her communication was excellent—she kept me updated throughout the night and sent pictures, which I really appreciated. It made me feel comfortable knowing my Toast was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her!

Monalisa is awesome she was so great with Sampson and sent updates throughout her stay. She was kind and courteous. Our place was neat and tidy after she left.
