About: Hi, My name is Michael M. I just moved backed home to Miami. Since my first memories we have always owned dogs. My mom had a habit of picking up stray dogs. Her heart always broke when she saw a furry defenseless dog begging for food or needing shelter. My mom's big heart exposed me to many types of dogs all different sizes and temperament. I have been dog sitting for a while now and it's one of my favorite things to do. I am a realtor and I am able to work from home during the day while clients are working and when I am away it's for only a few hours at a time. I have a fenced yard. Like I said my dog loves social interaction with other friendly doggies and would love to find friends he could play with. I am a real estate agent with my office at home. I will be able to watch over them while they play.
“Audrey is a great sitter for my cats. She even took care of my tanks too. My cats are safe and happy. I got informed everyday and never got worried for my babies. I will definetly book her again”

“I had a fantastic experience with Macenna. She took such warm, attentive care of my dog—it was clear from the start that my pup felt comfortable and happy. I especially appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. On top of that, my home was left spotless and well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Leo helped me out when I was in a jam. He agreed to take care of my dog and cat on very short notice and did a great job with them, keeping me informed multiple times per day. Highly recommend.”

“Emily was amazing! She communicated really well throughout the entire stay and treated my pups with so much love and care. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in great hands. We’re already using her again, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Andreina n Mercedes were the BEST dog sitters Ever! They went above n beyond to please my doggie's. They are so sweet n loving. Im defenintly going to call them again. My dogs were so happy with thim. Im sure they are going to miss them. ❤️”

About: Former St. Bernard owner here that loves all dogs big and small. I wfh and have pet sat dogs all over the world. When you book me you can feel at ease knowing your dog is properly cared for. Before confirming booking I like to do meet and greets. This is to ensure both your 4 legged friend and I get along. Also I am allergic to cats so I can only accept bookings from folks without cats. I will follow any instructions left by you on how to properly care for your dog. I want this to be a pleasant and seamless experience for both you and your dog.
“Emily did a great job with my cat, Princi! It was my first time having someone cat sit and she made sure I knew Princi was in good hands. She checked in everyday and sent pictures of my baby. I highly recommend Emily to watch your little one, she will give you the peace of mind that they are in good hands!”
“Darlyn is reliable, a great communicator, and was very patient with my highly reactive dog. Thanks for working with us, Darlyn! We had some schedule changes because of the snowstorm. Darlyn was flexible and also made sure Pedrito got one last walk before the snow started. Highly recommend!”

Being a college student gives me a flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time between commitments to provide pets with consistent care and lots of one-on-one attention. I currently have two small dogs in my home. They enjoy plenty of toys, cozy beds, and designated potty pads. My home is equipped with video monitoring, a fully secure fence, and a backyard where pups can safely play and explore.
About: I grew up with cats in our household. When my parents went on vacation, I was the designated pet sitter. I made sure they were always well fed and that they had fresh water in their bowls. Cleaned their litter boxes and spent quality time playing. My uncle had 2 dogs which I really enjoyed growing up with. They were both high energy and loved running around in the yard and going for walks around the neighborhood. Growing up with pets in my household was a wonderful experience! I work at a full-time job Monday - Friday. I am available anytime after 5:30 pm during the weekdays & have an open schedule on weekends. I am looking to have an ongoing steady schedule and would like to establish a relationship with long-term clients. My cat Onyx, loves to play! I have an assortment of toys for him to choose from! I set aside time to play and interact with him throughout the day! He’s fed 3x daily and always has fresh water in his water bowl!
“My husband and I were very happy with how our animals (family) were taken care of. We have no hesitation using her again. She sent us photos and was always responsive. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing someone to watch over their animals. Thank you Elisha and Rover!!!!!”

About: As a lifelong pet owner of 16+ years, I understand that pets aren’t just animals—they’re family. I also have professional experience working at a dog hotel, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, as well as cats. My specialties are cat sitting and dog walking, but I’m comfortable caring for a wide range of pets and their individual needs. I’m patient, attentive, reliable, and committed to making sure your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. ❤️ I’m very flexible and available, and I’m happy to work around your schedule and discuss pricing that works for both of us. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your fur babies are in good hands! 🐶🐱💕 Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly schedule. I have a flexible schedule and am available for drop-in visits, walks, and regular pet-care needs throughout the week. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine, whether that means morning or evening visits, feeding schedules, litter-box maintenance, playtime, or walks. I’m dependable, communicative, and willing to coordinate a schedule that works best for both you and your pet. I would care for another person’s pet with the same patience, attention, and love I give my own. I’d take the time to understand their routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions before getting started. During each visit, I’d make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean environment, appropriate exercise and playtime, and plenty of attention and companionship. I’d also keep their owner updated with photos and messages so they know their pet is safe and happy. Most importantly, I’d respect each pet’s individual needs and their owner’s home and instructions, making their time apart as stress-free as possible. 🐶🐱❤️

“Stephanie did a great job taking care of our two cats. One of our cats has asthma and she administered his inhaler twice a day. She was also very communicative and detail-oriented and sent great pictures of the cats. We could tell they were happy to have her taking care of them while we were gone. We would happily use her again as a petsitter. We highly recommend her.”

Emily was amazing! She communicated really well throughout the entire stay and treated my pups with so much love and care. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in great hands. We’re already using her again, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

We have used Elisha several times now, and she has really come in clutch when something last minute pops up. She takes very good care of our girls and we feel extremely comfortable leaving them in her care, and in our home. She continuously keeps us updated with texts and pictures. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs someone to take care of their pets!!

I cannot recommend Alyiah highly enough—she is absolutely amazing! She has been caring for my two dogs for years, and the love she has for them is truly special. She treats my pups like her own—honestly, like they’re her children—and it shows in every single thing she does. What really sets Alyiah apart is how incredible she is when one of my dogs isn’t feeling well. She goes above and beyond, making sure they’re comfortable, giving medications carefully and reliably, and providing so much extra attention and care. It gives me complete peace of mind knowing they’re in her hands. Her updates and photos are thoughtful and reassuring, and you can just feel how much she genuinely cares. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and truly exceptional, Alyiah is the BEST. Five stars isn’t enough ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Janine was amazing!! She took such great care of our dog, Romeo. She kept us updated throughout her stay with texts and pictures. Our dog had gotten a little sick and Janine made sure to let us know, and went the extra mile to do the necessary tasks to make sure he got better. The cherry on top was her leaving cute little Polaroids of Romeo to come home to. Highly recommend Janine and will 100% be booking her again!!❤️

Keira is amazing! She was so kind and accommodating while taking care of my pup and apartment while we were away for the holidays. She was very communicative and I knew that everything was taken care of while we were done. Will definitely use her again in the future!❤️

The average cost for House Sitting in West Little River on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 4,123 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Little River. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Little River walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Little River maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Little River choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
