Over: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family had three dogs over the years, and I looked after each one from puppy all the way to senior age, including all the extra care and patience that comes with an older dog. Most recently, I took care of a dog that needed daily medicine and treatment for a ripped paw pad, so I'm comfortable with health routines too, not just walks. I've also worked as a dog walker and sitter, and whether it's your dog or my own, I treat them all the same way: like family. As a freelancer, I mostly work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day. That means I can fit in walks, feedings, or check-ins at times that actually work for your schedule, not just early mornings or evenings. It also means I'm not rushing between appointments, so your dog or cat gets my full attention while I'm there. When pets stay with me, they have plenty of room to settle in. My apartment has a big, spacious living room and kitchen area, and I usually set up a cozy corner just for them so they always have a safe spot to retreat to, while still being free to roam and explore the rest of the apartment. I let them explore at their own pace and approach me when they're ready, rather than the other way around. I might try to make contact with a treat here and there, but I never force it if they're not comfortable yet. For walks, I'm lucky to live close to three parks, so there's always a good spot nearby to stretch their legs.

Over: Throughout my whole life, I have been surrounded by animals. I have taken care of dogs, cats, bunny’s, and horses all by myself. For me, animals are a part of my life I cannot live without. Not only have I developed an understanding for animals but also the ability to see what the pet needs and if something if wrong. Outside of my own animals, I have mostly sat other people’s dogs. I have always been a very organized person and good communicator. I will take care of your pet’s specific needs. I have experience of giving medication, both pills in food but also asthma spray to cats. I feel confident in learning new medications as well. I have experience of all sizes of dogs, love them all :) I am currently only studying 4 hours per week, giving me lots of time to spend with your pet. I am available during most hours of the day and would love to spend it with a pet! I will take care of your pet depending on its needs. I am comfortable having it loose in the apartment or in a crate between walks. I love to spend time outside or cuddle up with the pet watching a movie.

Over: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, including a golden retriever, a british shorthair, and a papillon. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my daily life, from feeding and walking to playing and giving them attention. I also have experience dog-sitting for friends, making sure their pets feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while they’re away. Since moving to Amsterdam almost two years ago, I’ve really missed being around animals, which is why I’m excited to offer pet sitting and spend time doing something I truly enjoy. I’m currently a psychology student, which gives me a flexible schedule. I’m fully available on Thursdays and weekends and on Mondays and Fridays after 13:00. On other days, my availability can vary, so feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to accommodate. In my free time, I love walking around the neighbourhood and stopping by cafés, so it’s the perfect opportunity to bring your pup along for walks, fresh air and a change of scenery. I live in a spacious apartment, so there’s plenty of room for your pet to feel comfortable and relaxed. I make sure every pet has a calm and safe environment, with lots of attention and care. I’m also happy to take dogs out for walks as often as needed, depending on their routine and energy level. Whether in my home or yours, I always aim to follow your pet’s usual schedule so they feel secure and well cared for.

Over: I've been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. Although I didn't have a dog growing up because of family allergies, I spent years caring for friends' and neighbors' dogs whenever I had the chance. Eight years ago, my husband and I welcomed our Bichon Frise and Toy Poodle mix, Piper, into our family. We recently moved to Amsterdam, and he'll be joining us here this October. Having Piper has taught me just how important it is to find someone you can trust with a member of your family. I know every dog has their own personality and routine, and I would care for yours with the same love, attention, and care that I give my own. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I recently moved to Amsterdam after leaving my corporate job in the U.S., so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to devote to pet care. Over: I’ve been around animals my whole life and genuinely love caring for them! I grew up with five dogs and was actively involved in looking after them, from daily walks and feeding to playtime, cuddles, and general care :) I’ve had experience with both younger, energetic pets and older animals who need a little more patience, attention, and a slower pace! I now have a cat of my own, which has given me even more hands-on experience with feeding routines, litter care, play, and understanding all the different moods and personalities cats can have :) I’m confident caring for both dogs and cats, and I always make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well looked after while they’re in my care! I’ve recently become a freelancer, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and longer stays, and can usually adapt to your pet’s normal routine. I always try to keep pets as comfortable as possible by following their usual routine and respecting their personality and boundaries. I’m attentive with feeding, walks, litter care, playtime, and any specific instructions you leave. I also make sure to keep you updated so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well looked after.

Over: Ive had my dog Cindy since I was 14! Since moving to Amsterdam 4 years ago, I’ve missed having a pet’s company so much. Besides my own dog, I have taken care of both cats and dogs through drop-in visits and walking. I would love to get to take care of your doggie or cat. I’m currently in between studies, going into my masters. Since it is the summertime, I’m quite flexible, as well as on the weekends. I will be happy to fit in some walks and care then! Over: I am a master’s student at the vu from the states. my pup is part of my family so of course I brought her with me : ) I’ve had and trained dogs for my whole life and love them with my whole heart. I have worked in wildlife conservation and am currently studying clean water. I’m currently a student with classes on Tuesdays and Fridays. I’m free to care for your pets any other time during the week! I live in an apartment right now and walk my own dog at least four times a day. I feed her once in the morning and once at night.

Ik heb zelf 15 jaar een hond gehad en pas regelmatig op de honden van vrienden, dus ik ben gewend aan honden met verschillende karakters, energielevels en behoeftes. De duur en intensiteit stem ik graag af op wat jouw hond gewend is. Dagopvang bij mij thuis Je hond is van harte welkom om gezellig een dag bij mij te komen. Ik werk doordeweeks flexibel en kan mijn hondoppas goed combineren met mijn werk. Mijn hondenvriendje mag in principe zelfs mee naar kantoor, dus als jouw hond het leuk vindt, kan hij/zij gezellig met mij mee. Logeren – dag & nacht Ook voor een nachtje (of meerdere!) is jouw hond welkom bij mij. Ik zorg ervoor dat hij/zij zich zo comfortabel mogelijk voelt en probeer zoveel mogelijk het normale ritme van thuis aan te houden. 🐕 Mijn beschikbaarheid Ik ben doordeweeks eigenlijk vrijwel altijd beschikbaar en ook in het weekend kan er veel. Omdat ik flexibel kan omgaan met waar ik werk, kan ik goed rekening houden met verschillende opvangmomenten. I walk a lot, in the morning, afternoon and evening. I have an apartment without garden but I often go to the park when i have to dog sit, I love being outside so that’s a good thing for your pet :)

Over: Vanaf jongs af aan opgegroeid met honden. helaas nu ik op mezelf woon moet ik het hebben van oppas hondjes. omdat ik zelf in een appartement woon. Ik hou ervan om met de hond opstap te gaan en buiten te zijn, maar ook binnenhuis komen hondjes geen aandacht te kort. Momenteel ben ik zelf wat minder gaan werken, dus heb ik alle tijd om door te brengen met een hondje. Ik vind het fijn mocht het hondje het ook leuk vinden om naar het park te gaan. Verder is het ook geen probleem voor mij om veel tussentijdse rondjes met een hondje te lopen. Zelf woon ik in een appartement dus ik zal er iets vaker met het hondje op uit gaan omdat ik geen tuin heb. Wel zal het hondje in staat moeten zijn om twee trappen op te moeten kunnen. Of als het een wat kleiner hondje is kan ik ook tillen.

Over: Having grown up with cats, they have a special place in my heart ❤️ from playful kittens, to independent adults and into their senior years I've seen it all. I know that each feline comes with their own quirks and habits which I love to tune into as I get to know them. With all that said I'd never turn down some quality time with a dog! Spending time with dogs of friends' and family is always a joy. Having just moved to Amsterdam I am eager to get to know the city, it's parks and local residents! What better way than through the eyes of its furry inhabitants! I am attentive to pets needs, I understand the importance of routine for most pets and would do my upmost to stick to it and follow the owners instructions precisely. Visiting animals at home means I'm coming into their territory, so I would be respectful of their personal space and habits.

Over: Ik ben een onwijs grote dieren liefhebber en ben opgegroeid met twee katten. Ook heb ik veel honden om mij heen gehad en ook ervaring met oppassen op beide dieren. Ik heb veel tijd dit jaar i.v.m. afstuderen en mis de diertjes om mij heen. Ik zou het heel leuk vinden om een vaste honden of katten oppasser te worden! Momenteel ben ik bezig met afstuderen aan mijn studie Allround Creative Concept devoloper aan Academie Artemis. Omdat ik maar 1 fysieke dag in de week heb en mijn werk ‘s avonds (thuis) is, lijkt het me leuk wat meer op te passen doordeweeks. Zeker met hondjes kom je zo lekker buiten en ik mis de liefde van diertjes een beetje aangezien ik zelf ik Amsterdam geen huisdieren heb. Ik heb zelf geen tuin, alleen een dakterras. Wel woon ik aan het park en heb ik een auto om naar het Amsterdamse bos te gaan bijvoorbeeld! Honden zijn thuis welkom alleen heb ik wel twee trappen dus moet het hondje of trap kunnen lopen of te tillen zijn!

Over: Ik ben Niels en ik vindt honden gewoon leuk;) en doe dit als bijbaantje voor de lol. Een beetje wandelen, skateboarden of fietsen met de honden doe ik met plezier en dat probeer ik over te brengen op de honden. Ik heb eerlijk gezegd niet enorm veel ervaring met veel verschillende honden. Ik heb wel een aantal keer op verschillende honden van vrienden opgepast. Dus als je een hond met gedragsproblematiek hebt, dan ben je bij mij waarschijnlijk niet aan het juiste adres. Overnachtingen of een hele dag met uw hond doe ik liever ook pas nadat ik hem een keer heb uitgelaten en als we beide weten dat het tussen ons klikt!:) Daarnaast heb ik geen bench dus die zou je zelf moeten brengen bij een overnachting. Ik hoor graag van je als je me toevertrouwd met je trouwe viervoeter!:) ----- I am Niels and I just like dogs ;) I do this as a side job for fun. I enjoy walking, skateboarding, or cycling with the dogs, and I try to convey that to them. To be honest, I don't have a huge amount of experience with many different dogs. I have looked after various dogs belonging to friends I've looked after a few times, though. If you have a dog with behavioral issues, its probably not a good fit. I also prefer to only do full-day overnight stays with your dog after I've taken him out for a walk once and when we both know we click! :) On top of this i don't have my own bench, so that would be something which you should bring with you in case of a sleepover. I look forward to hearing from you when you entrust me with your faithful four-legged friend! :) Mijn dagelijkse routine is niet heel standaard dus dat hangt af van de dag. Ik zal het verzoek alleen accepteren als het wel past natuurlijk. Veel in het park lopen en leuke dingen doen. Daarnaast kan de hond in mijn appartement ook relaxen in een bench wanneer je die meegeeft.
