Over: I've taken care of my family dog since I was 14, and later I got a beautiful cat named April. In the past years, I regularly sat with my friend's cats and dogs when they traveled, and helped with neighbors' pets too. I love and care deeply about pets and always take the best care of them, so you can be sure your pet will be in the best hands. I'm currently working part-time and working from home. My schedule is very flexible, and I am free on weekends. I can also stay overnight or on holidays if needed. I live in a pet-friendly apartment that is safe and has enough space for both cats and dogs to play! I can also arrange a dedicated area for toys and sleep/bed.
“Pablo is great! It was a last minute request and we are grateful that Pablo could accommodate it. As soon as Milo met him, he got completely comfortable with Pablo. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely have him for walks again!”

Over: Two Dalmatians, a chihuahua, a Pomeranian and three mutts were my siblings growing up. I took care of them through every vet visit, may it be grooming days, sick days, or the few times they’ve given birth to puppies! I currently work part time so I am mostly at home and can do check-ins or walks, this is updated on my Rover calendar. I stay alert on walks and during home-sitting with pets. Care instructions for your little one will be carefully followed and depending on your preference, I can send updates throughout the sitting.

Over: I have been taking care of dogs in the Netherlands for the past year. My father is a vet so growing up I was always around dogs. I will be the only carer. I live in a family with 2 daughters who adore dogs. They are 8 and 9. Our grandpa is a veterinary so I always grew up around dogs. I will be the caregiver by myself. I have a nice fenced garden and live in a very large house, near a green area. Very pet friendly neighbourhood. I love going for long walks in the bos.
“Brian is aluways on time and is doing really well with my 2 big dogs. They aluways come back happy and relaxed. Im very grateful to have fo8nd such a reliable kind person to help with my furry crew.”

Over: I am a 26-year-old Dutch guy with a great passion for dogs. Dogs have played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and have had four in total, two of which still live with my parents. Because of this, I have gained a lot of experience with different personalities, including more challenging and high-energy dogs. As a result, I know how to interact with dogs in a calm, clear, and confident way. I am also very good at reading canine communication, such as body language, posture, and behavior, which allows me to prevent escalation and step in when necessary. At the moment, I am exploring what I want to do in the future, and it is clear to me that it will involve dogs in some way, such as training or guidance. In the meantime, I have the time and flexibility to spend a lot of time with dogs, and there is honestly nothing I enjoy more. Being a dog sitter is therefore the perfect way for me to do something I genuinely love while also gaining even more experience and getting to know different dogs. To me, dogs are much more than just pets. I truly enjoy spending time with them and giving them the attention they deserve. I personally love going on walks, so taking a dog along is not only enjoyable company for me, but also a great balance where both the dog and I benefit from spending time outdoors. I find it very important that a dog feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which is why I always pay close attention to the individual character and needs of each dog. I actually enjoy working with more challenging or highly sensitive dogs as well. I stay calm, provide clear structure, and take the time to build trust so the dog knows what to expect. During walks, I pay close attention to the surroundings, safety, and the dog’s own signals. Owners can expect me to be responsible, reliable, and genuinely involved, and to treat their dog with patience, attention, and care. Clear communication is also very important to me, so owners always know how things are going. I read a dog’s emotional state by paying attention to the eyes, posture, energy level, and how the dog positions itself around other dogs. I also look for signs of confidence, stress, or dominance during interactions, such as the way a dog approaches, avoids, or lies down in social situations. This allows me to adapt my approach so that every dog feels safe and understood. During walks, I enjoy visiting natural environments such as parks or green areas where the dog can relax, explore, and comfortably do its business. I focus on calm, structured walks where the dog receives both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident handling dogs on a leash and can maintain good control in different situations. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I know how to apply reliable recall and how to keep the dog safe and engaged. I am also experienced in walking two dogs at the same time, so that is absolutely no problem for me. For a regular walk, you can expect me to walk with the dog for at least 40 minutes. Something else that may be reassuring for owners to know is that I am currently looking into part-time (16-hour) remote work that can be done fully independently. This means I am not tied to an office or stuck in long meetings, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the dog and the house. I am definitely not someone who is busy working all day and only quickly takes the dog out in between tasks — caring for the dog is genuinely my main priority. I may occasionally handle some light administrative work during the day, but aside from that, I am mainly present, flexible, and attentive. Because of this, I can keep a close eye on both the dog and the home, and owners can trust that everything will be calm, safe, and well taken care of. What I am currently in between jobs and taking the time to explore what I want to do long-term. One thing that is very clear to me is that I want my future to involve dogs in some way, whether that becomes dog training, behavioral guidance, or something similar. I am still figuring out exactly how I want to shape that path, but I think it is great that I can already gain valuable hands-on experience by caring for and spending time with different dogs through dog sitting and walking. At the moment, I have a flexible schedule and am mainly available during weekdays from late morning until the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, Rover does not offer an exact option for this, but in practice I am generally available between 10 AM and 5 PM to look after your dog at home or take your dog out for walks. Since I personally love walking as well, owners can expect me to take dogs on long, enjoyable walks with plenty of attention and care. I am also exploring the possibility of starting a part-time remote job later this summer for around 16 hours per week. The type of work I am looking at would be fully home-based, flexible, and low-pressure, without meetings or appointments that would require me to leave the house. Because of that, I would still have more than enough time, attention, and flexibility to properly care for dogs throughout the day. The dog’s wellbeing, attention, and routine would always remain my main priority while I am looking after them. Weekends can be a bit more difficult for me, although I may still be available depending on the situation, so you are always welcome to send me a message to check availability I currently live in an apartment complex and do not have a private garden, which means fulltime dog boarding at my home can be a bit more limited depending on the dog and the situation. However, if your dog only needs to stay somewhere for a few hours for example, to bridge part of the day rather than staying an entire day or overnight that is absolutely possible at my place. My apartment is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a dog for shorter periods of time. I already do this regularly with one of my parents’ dogs to help them out from time to time, so I am experienced in having dogs stay with me in a calm and comfortable environment. Of course, this is always coordinated properly, which means that if I am caring for your dog, there will not unexpectedly be another dog present unless discussed beforehand. I also genuinely enjoy being outdoors and spending active, quality time with dogs. With my own family dogs, I love doing simple things like playing with a tennis ball or a toy, practicing little tricks, going for walks, relaxing outside together, cuddling, and giving them attention. For me, it is really the small moments and connection with a dog that make it enjoyable, and spending time with dogs genuinely gives me a lot of energy and happiness. One important thing to mention is that Rover sometimes requires me to select fixed availability options that do not fully reflect how flexible I actually am. Because of that, it is possible that I may not always appear in certain search results. In reality, my availability is often much more flexible and depends a bit on the specific day and situation. So please feel free to send me a message, even if my profile settings seem limited I am usually more flexible than the Rover options may suggest.

Over: Hi! I’m Liz :) Speaking as a dog owner for eight years, I genuinely cherish every moment of this journey and I would absolutely happy to meet your dog/cat and enjoy all the time together! I learnt the most is that each pet has their own characteristics. For my dog she’s a bit shy, so at first not only teach her to do tricks, we encourage her to socialize with other dogs. But gradually I found out that, it is just not her - and as long as she felt safe and comfortable, that’s all we ask for. So not only treat each pet with care, I also treat them with respect and love! I’m currently working part time until September, so the schedule might be flexible. I’m usually at home Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Let’s talk more! We have an unfenced garden shared with other residents in the apartment, I can take the leash and walk them out here. There might be other dogs walking around during peak hours, so there’s always chances to make friends

—— I’ve grown up with dogs from a young age—especially sighthounds—and they’ve been a big part of my life ever since. Caring for dogs truly comes from the heart: I love giving them the attention, affection, and care they deserve, and I enjoy spending time with all kinds of dogs. I’m familiar with basic training and always handle dogs in a calm, safe, and responsible way, so both you and your dog can feel comfortable and at ease. I’m not doing this alone—my loving partner, who also has a big heart for dogs, helps create a warm and welcoming environment. With us, your dog will receive not only great care, but also plenty of attention, cuddles, and a cozy home away from home Ik ben opgegroeid met honden en zou het liefst zelf één (of twee!) hebben. I’ve grown up with dogs and would love to have one (or two!) of my own. As that’s not possible in my current situation, I truly enjoy caring for dogs as a sitter. Dogs fit naturally into my daily routine: I’m flexible and make sure they are walked at least three times a day, with a lovely park just around the corner for extra exercise and fun. Your dog will be in a safe, loving environment, and there is always someone at home to give them attention and company Ik woon in een schoon en liefdevol appartement op de tweede verdieping (zonder lift), waar jouw hond zich snel thuis zal voelen. I live in a clean and loving second-floor apartment (without an elevator), where your dog will quickly feel at home. My home is all about safety, trust, and a calm, welcoming environment. Dogs are allowed on the couch and are truly treated as part of the family. I care for your dog with love and attention, including brushing and, if needed, a refreshing bath after a nice walk in the park or woods. I make sure they receive all the attention, exercise, and care they need to feel happy, relaxed, and comfortable

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. A few years later, I am now living in Amsterdam, working full-time with dogs at a fantastic farm facility outside of the city, and finishing up my Master's degree. Do I sound like the right fit for you and your dog? Drop me a message and we can arrange an initial meeting to get to know each other better! (Multiple positive references available upon request). I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities, whether looking after a pet in my home or yours.
Over: I love animals, taking care of them, playing and spending time with them either on walks or at home. My cat is currently staying with my parents back in Greece and I really miss her, so it would make me really happy to fill my empty space and free time with your lovely pets' positive energy, whenever you need help with pet-sitting or -walking. I have had cats my whole life, as well as two dogs, and I occasionally pet-sit for my friends. Therefore, I have plenty of pet-sitting experience with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes.
Over: Hi, I am based in Amsterdam, where living with a gentle 9-year-old Ragdoll cat. I grew up with dogs in my childhood, so I have plenty of experience (and love!) for furry friends of all kinds. I offer dog and cat sitting at your place in and around Amsterdam — perfect for families needing short-term care or peace of mind while away on a trip. My goal is to make sure your pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved, so they can enjoy their time just as much as you enjoy yours. I currently work from home three days a week and have a relatively flexible schedule, which means I can spend plenty of quality time with your pets. Whether it’s midday playtime, extra cuddles, or keeping them company while you’re away, I can easily fit their needs into my routine. When pets (cats) stay at my home, I make sure they feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. They get a cozy spot to relax (an individual room is possible), fresh water, regular meals, and playtime or cuddles — whatever makes them happiest. There is a balcony for the fresh air if they like. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I can follow their normal schedule for feeding, walks, and play, and give them plenty of attention so they don’t feel lonely. I also send daily photos and videos, so you can see for yourself how relaxed and happy they are while you’re away. Both ways, they will get some free treat and extra love ;)
Over: Pet Care Experience I have hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs, mainly by helping friends while they were away. My responsibilities included feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, walking dogs, and spending quality time playing and keeping pets company. I always pay close attention to each pet’s routine and personality to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. What sets me apart is my calm, patient, and attentive approach. I take time to build trust with each animal and respect their boundaries, whether they are playful, shy, or independent. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I carefully follow the owner’s instructions and routines. I also live in Amsterdam Zuidoost, which allows me to be flexible and reliable with visits. My goal is always to make sure pets feel relaxed, cared for, and loved—just like they would with their own family. Pet care fits well into my weekday routine. I’m available on weekdays and can plan visits flexibly during the day or early evening. I always make sure to arrive on time and give pets my full attention during each visit. I treat every pet owner’s home with care, respect, and responsibility. I follow all instructions regarding feeding, walking, and playtime, and make sure water bowls, litter boxes, and living spaces are clean and safe. I ensure doors and windows are secure and supervise pets closely to prevent accidents. My goal is to provide peace of mind to owners while giving cats and dogs gentle, attentive care in a safe and comfortable environment.
Over: Hi! My name is Jorge, and I’ve spent years surrounded by animals who have made my life so much happier. I have Otto, my slightly mischievous orange cat, who has been part of my life for 5 years. 🐱 We rescued him from a small village in Spain where he had been abandoned and had almost lost an eye. With patience, love, and quite a few eye drops and medications (which he didn’t enjoy at all!), he made a full recovery. He now lives happily with my family in Spain. I’ve also cared for Patín, my aunt’s senior cat, who I loved spending quiet time with, especially sitting together in the sun while he purred non-stop. ☀️ In addition, I’ve spent the past 4 years helping care for Junior, my partner’s family dog 🐶. We’ve taken care of his daily needs, including regular walks (up to three times a day), and I’ve also handled situations requiring extra care, such as paw issues, digestive problems, and eye treatments. This has given me hands-on experience with both routine care and more specific needs. Currently, I live in Amsterdam and do not have any pets at home, which means I can fully adapt to your pet’s needs, whether that’s caring for cats or dogs, either in your home or mine. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet as if they were their own. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, or boarding, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. ❤️ I’m really looking forward to meeting your furry companion! I’m currently based in Amsterdam and actively looking for a job as a designer, which means I have full availability at the moment and can easily adapt my schedule to your pet’s needs. Once I start working, I’ll still be available on weekends (Friday to Sunday) and during weekday evenings. I live in a very green area near the Amstel River, which is perfect for walks and outdoor time. I enjoy staying active (going for walks, running, or cycling) but I also appreciate quieter moments at home, like watching a movie, cooking, or reading. Because of this balance, I can easily adapt to different pets and personalities, whether they’re energetic and playful or calm and more independent. ☺️ I always adapt my care to each pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. In my client’s home, I respect the pet’s usual environment and routine as much as possible, following feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions. I also make sure they get attention, playtime, and companionship so they don’t feel stressed while their owner is away. In my home, I provide a calm, safe, and clean environment. Since I currently don’t have pets at home, I can fully focus on your pet and adapt the space to their needs. I make sure they get enough exercise, mental stimulation, and rest, depending on their personality. I’m also comfortable providing basic care such as administering medication, cleaning litter boxes, and handling feeding routines. I always keep owners updated with messages and photos, so they feel reassured while they’re away.
Over: I’m a German au pair currently living in Amsterdam, taking care of two children during the week. Outside of those hours, I have a lot of flexibility and would love to spend my time pet-sitting—both to save up for university and because I genuinely love animals. Growing up, my family couldn’t have dogs or cats due to my dad’s allergy to animal dander, but I did have pets such as budgies. This taught me responsibility and daily animal care from a young age and made me appreciate every opportunity I now have to spend time with animals. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I regularly look after my boyfriend’s dog when his family is away, I feed and care for my neighbor’s cat during holidays, and I’ve often gone on walks with dogs belonging to family friends. I’m comfortable with routines, walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets calm, loving attention. I’m responsible, patient, and affectionate, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. During the week, I work as an au pair from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:00–8:00 PM. This gives me a large free time window late in the morning and early afternoon, ideal for dog walks, feeding cats, or short check-in visits. I’m also available early mornings and in the evenings when needed. On weekends, I’m fully flexible and available for longer stays or extended pet care. I’m a calm, patient, and empathetic person who helps pets feel safe and comfortable. I respect routines, boundaries, and individual needs, and I take my responsibility as a pet sitter very seriously. My goal is to provide a secure, calm, and stress-free environment where your pet feels well cared for while you’re away.
Over: I have taken care of dogs for years now. Back home in Jakarta, my family has a dog and a cat. I take great care of them, from feeding, bathing, taking on walks and giving medicine when needed. Graduated from my MA degree recently, so I currently work part-time and also as a freelancer. My schedule is quite flexible. Available during the weekends. I will adjust the environment to your pets as I want them to be a as comfortable as possible, since every pet has their own personality.
Over: I have grown up with dogs, cats, and horses. I am very good with senior animals and making things accessible for them. I just worked with rescue horses and massage therapy for horses. I really love taking care of animals! I am available for boarding on the weekends and some days during the week. That depends on my freelance schedule as a dance and theatre teacher at the universities for the arts. If you ask me three days in advance, I will know my availability. I can adapt to the needs of your pet. I am in a flat on the 5th floor with a balcony. We can take a lift downstairs where there is a big grass area for walking and playing away from the street and with a leash for safety.
Over: Hi! I've taken care of several pets, in high school I used to take care of my neighbours dog, I took care of my other neighbours cats, I have a little birdie at home myself :). I do not have experience with medical applications such as injections, but I am more than happy to company your buddies and take care od their needs! I'm currently studying, this semester is calmer than usual so most of my week is free. So I am quite flexible with scheduling! Although during exam weeks I will be less available than usual. Since I live in a student housing, I cannot bring little buddies home with me :(. However, I love spending time with them anywhere! I can company them at home according to house rules, or we can go on walks or play at parks.

Franky and Shaima got along immediately. Franky can be a little nervous sometimes but Shaima has a very calming aura. Super kind and warm person to deal with. She sent me pictures and updates so that felt good. Solid and reliable. Great communicator. But most importantly: Happy Franky!

Samantha has been amazing with my dog, Cloey. She was on time, incredibly sweet, and clearly cares a lot about the dogs she walks. After Cloey came back from a walk, she’s happily exhausted, which says it all! Thank you so much for taking such great care of my girl 🥹🥰 I highly recommend her!

Christina really helped us out during my weekend away! From the moment she stepped in Lanka was very chill around Christina because of her calm energy! Everything went very smooth and Lanka seemed to enjoy the walks a lot. I would definitely recommend Christina to take care of your pet ;)
