“Pablo is great! It was a last minute request and we are grateful that Pablo could accommodate it. As soon as Milo met him, he got completely comfortable with Pablo. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely have him for walks again!”

Over: I've taken care of my family dog since I was 14, and later I got a beautiful cat named April. In the past years, I regularly sat with my friend's cats and dogs when they traveled, and helped with neighbors' pets too. I love and care deeply about pets and always take the best care of them, so you can be sure your pet will be in the best hands. I'm currently working part-time and working from home. My schedule is very flexible, and I am free on weekends. I can also stay overnight or on holidays if needed. I live in a pet-friendly apartment that is safe and has enough space for both cats and dogs to play! I can also arrange a dedicated area for toys and sleep/bed.

Over: I’ve had a dog since I was 10, so I grew up learning how to train and care for one properly, not just from a course. Here in Amsterdam I look after dogs regularly and can put you in touch with past clients for a reference. I want to make sure your dog feels at home as possible with me! I’m a student and work part-time, so I have real flexibility during the week, not just evenings and weekends. That means I can adjust to your dog’s routine rather than squeezing care in around a rigid schedule, whether that’s a midday walk, extra playtime, or just more one-on-one attention. I keep my calendar updated so you can see exactly when I’m free to book! I’ve spent years learning to read what dogs need, when they want more attention and when they’d rather be left to settle. My home is dog-proofed, with nothing lying around they could get into or accidentally swallow. I live right next to several parks, so there’s always somewhere close for walks and playtime without needing a car. I keep owners updated with photos and messages throughout the stay so you always know how your dog is doing.
Over: I recently moved away from home, and I really miss my dog! I love walking her, and was hoping to find a new friend to walk. I’ve previously also walked dogs in my other neighborhood:) My routine is quite diverse under the week, so it’s dependent on the day! However I am almost always free to walk on the weekends!! I sadly can’t have animals in my home, however I would be willing to talk about offering pet sitting, depending on when and how long :)

Over: I’m a calm and reliable pet sitter with a strong love for both cats and dogs. I focus on making sure your pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for in their own home while you’re away. I have experience with cat sitting, dog walking, and home visits, including feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, and keeping to your pet’s normal routine. I’m especially comfortable with cats of all personalities — including shy, anxious, or independent cats — and I always let them approach me at their own pace. For dogs, I enjoy walking and caring for small to medium-sized friendly dogs who are used to leash walks and regular routines. I can also help with dogs that may feel a bit nervous when their owner is away. I am available for flexible bookings, including weekends and holidays, and can do one or multiple daily visits depending on what your pet needs. I always provide updates so you know your pets are safe and happy. I treat every animal with patience, care, and attention — just like they are my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide pet care throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. I am able to take on both regular and last-minute bookings, depending on availability. I care for pets in their own home to keep them comfortable and relaxed. I follow all owner instructions, maintain their routine, and ensure their safety during each visit. I treat every pet with patience, respect, and gentle care.

Over: I am a 26-year-old Dutch guy with a great passion for dogs. Dogs have played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and have had four in total, two of which still live with my parents. Because of this, I have gained a lot of experience with different personalities, including more challenging and high-energy dogs. As a result, I know how to interact with dogs in a calm, clear, and confident way. I am also very good at reading canine communication, such as body language, posture, and behavior, which allows me to prevent escalation and step in when necessary. At the moment, I am exploring what I want to do in the future, and it is clear to me that it will involve dogs in some way, such as training or guidance. In the meantime, I have the time and flexibility to spend a lot of time with dogs, and there is honestly nothing I enjoy more. Being a dog sitter is therefore the perfect way for me to do something I genuinely love while also gaining even more experience and getting to know different dogs. To me, dogs are much more than just pets. I truly enjoy spending time with them and giving them the attention they deserve. I personally love going on walks, so taking a dog along is not only enjoyable company for me, but also a great balance where both the dog and I benefit from spending time outdoors. I find it very important that a dog feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which is why I always pay close attention to the individual character and needs of each dog. I actually enjoy working with more challenging or highly sensitive dogs as well. I stay calm, provide clear structure, and take the time to build trust so the dog knows what to expect. During walks, I pay close attention to the surroundings, safety, and the dog’s own signals. Owners can expect me to be responsible, reliable, and genuinely involved, and to treat their dog with patience, attention, and care. Clear communication is also very important to me, so owners always know how things are going. I read a dog’s emotional state by paying attention to the eyes, posture, energy level, and how the dog positions itself around other dogs. I also look for signs of confidence, stress, or dominance during interactions, such as the way a dog approaches, avoids, or lies down in social situations. This allows me to adapt my approach so that every dog feels safe and understood. During walks, I enjoy visiting natural environments such as parks or green areas where the dog can relax, explore, and comfortably do its business. I focus on calm, structured walks where the dog receives both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident handling dogs on a leash and can maintain good control in different situations. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I know how to apply reliable recall and how to keep the dog safe and engaged. I am also experienced in walking two dogs at the same time, so that is absolutely no problem for me. For a regular walk, you can expect me to walk with the dog for at least 40 minutes. Something else that may be reassuring for owners to know is that I am currently looking into part-time (16-hour) remote work that can be done fully independently. This means I am not tied to an office or stuck in long meetings, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the dog and the house. I am definitely not someone who is busy working all day and only quickly takes the dog out in between tasks — caring for the dog is genuinely my main priority. I may occasionally handle some light administrative work during the day, but aside from that, I am mainly present, flexible, and attentive. Because of this, I can keep a close eye on both the dog and the home, and owners can trust that everything will be calm, safe, and well taken care of. What I am currently in between jobs and taking the time to explore what I want to do long-term. One thing that is very clear to me is that I want my future to involve dogs in some way, whether that becomes dog training, behavioral guidance, or something similar. I am still figuring out exactly how I want to shape that path, but I think it is great that I can already gain valuable hands-on experience by caring for and spending time with different dogs through dog sitting and walking. At the moment, I have a flexible schedule and am mainly available during weekdays from late morning until the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, Rover does not offer an exact option for this, but in practice I am generally available between 10 AM and 5 PM to look after your dog at home or take your dog out for walks. Since I personally love walking as well, owners can expect me to take dogs on long, enjoyable walks with plenty of attention and care. I am also exploring the possibility of starting a part-time remote job later this summer for around 16 hours per week. The type of work I am looking at would be fully home-based, flexible, and low-pressure, without meetings or appointments that would require me to leave the house. Because of that, I would still have more than enough time, attention, and flexibility to properly care for dogs throughout the day. The dog’s wellbeing, attention, and routine would always remain my main priority while I am looking after them. Weekends can be a bit more difficult for me, although I may still be available depending on the situation, so you are always welcome to send me a message to check availability I currently live in an apartment complex and do not have a private garden, which means fulltime dog boarding at my home can be a bit more limited depending on the dog and the situation. However, if your dog only needs to stay somewhere for a few hours for example, to bridge part of the day rather than staying an entire day or overnight that is absolutely possible at my place. My apartment is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a dog for shorter periods of time. I already do this regularly with one of my parents’ dogs to help them out from time to time, so I am experienced in having dogs stay with me in a calm and comfortable environment. Of course, this is always coordinated properly, which means that if I am caring for your dog, there will not unexpectedly be another dog present unless discussed beforehand. I also genuinely enjoy being outdoors and spending active, quality time with dogs. With my own family dogs, I love doing simple things like playing with a tennis ball or a toy, practicing little tricks, going for walks, relaxing outside together, cuddling, and giving them attention. For me, it is really the small moments and connection with a dog that make it enjoyable, and spending time with dogs genuinely gives me a lot of energy and happiness. One important thing to mention is that Rover sometimes requires me to select fixed availability options that do not fully reflect how flexible I actually am. Because of that, it is possible that I may not always appear in certain search results. In reality, my availability is often much more flexible and depends a bit on the specific day and situation. So please feel free to send me a message, even if my profile settings seem limited I am usually more flexible than the Rover options may suggest.

Over: Two Dalmatians, a chihuahua, a Pomeranian and three mutts were my siblings growing up. I took care of them through every vet visit, may it be grooming days, sick days, or the few times they’ve given birth to puppies! I currently work part time so I am mostly at home and can do check-ins or walks, this is updated on my Rover calendar. I stay alert on walks and during home-sitting with pets. Care instructions for your little one will be carefully followed and depending on your preference, I can send updates throughout the sitting.

Over: I have been taking care of dogs in the Netherlands for the past year. My father is a vet so growing up I was always around dogs. I will be the only carer. I live in a family with 2 daughters who adore dogs. They are 8 and 9. Our grandpa is a veterinary so I always grew up around dogs. I will be the caregiver by myself. I have a nice fenced garden and live in a very large house, near a green area. Very pet friendly neighbourhood. I love going for long walks in the bos.

Over: Hi! I’m Liz :) Speaking as a dog owner for eight years, I genuinely cherish every moment of this journey and I would absolutely happy to meet your dog/cat and enjoy all the time together! I learnt the most is that each pet has their own characteristics. For my dog she’s a bit shy, so at first not only teach her to do tricks, we encourage her to socialize with other dogs. But gradually I found out that, it is just not her - and as long as she felt safe and comfortable, that’s all we ask for. So not only treat each pet with care, I also treat them with respect and love! I’m currently working part time until September, so the schedule might be flexible. I’m usually at home Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Let’s talk more! We have an unfenced garden shared with other residents in the apartment, I can take the leash and walk them out here. There might be other dogs walking around during peak hours, so there’s always chances to make friends
Over: Hi! I’m Hare, a passionate animal lover with years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, so I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable and loved. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, feeding, giving medication if needed, or simply keeping your pet company, I provide attentive and reliable care. I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout every visit. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always respect their individual needs, routines and boundaries. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel completely at ease while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I have a flexible schedule and provide loving, reliable care throughout the week. I always follow your pet’s routine and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Your pet’s safety comes first. I follow all care instructions carefully and provide a calm, clean, and loving environment. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages.
Over: Hi! I've taken care of several pets, in high school I used to take care of my neighbours dog, I took care of my other neighbours cats, I have a little birdie at home myself :). I do not have experience with medical applications such as injections, but I am more than happy to company your buddies and take care od their needs! I'm currently studying, this semester is calmer than usual so most of my week is free. So I am quite flexible with scheduling! Although during exam weeks I will be less available than usual. Since I live in a student housing, I cannot bring little buddies home with me :(. However, I love spending time with them anywhere! I can company them at home according to house rules, or we can go on walks or play at parks.
Over: Hi! My name is Jorge, and I’ve spent years surrounded by animals who have made my life so much happier. I have Otto, my slightly mischievous orange cat, who has been part of my life for 5 years. 🐱 We rescued him from a small village in Spain where he had been abandoned and had almost lost an eye. With patience, love, and quite a few eye drops and medications (which he didn’t enjoy at all!), he made a full recovery. He now lives happily with my family in Spain. I’ve also cared for Patín, my aunt’s senior cat, who I loved spending quiet time with, especially sitting together in the sun while he purred non-stop. ☀️ In addition, I’ve spent the past 4 years helping care for Junior, my partner’s family dog 🐶. We’ve taken care of his daily needs, including regular walks (up to three times a day), and I’ve also handled situations requiring extra care, such as paw issues, digestive problems, and eye treatments. This has given me hands-on experience with both routine care and more specific needs. Currently, I live in Amsterdam and do not have any pets at home, which means I can fully adapt to your pet’s needs, whether that’s caring for cats or dogs, either in your home or mine. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet as if they were their own. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, or boarding, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. ❤️ I’m really looking forward to meeting your furry companion! I’m currently based in Amsterdam and actively looking for a job as a designer, which means I have full availability at the moment and can easily adapt my schedule to your pet’s needs. Once I start working, I’ll still be available on weekends (Friday to Sunday) and during weekday evenings. I live in a very green area near the Amstel River, which is perfect for walks and outdoor time. I enjoy staying active (going for walks, running, or cycling) but I also appreciate quieter moments at home, like watching a movie, cooking, or reading. Because of this balance, I can easily adapt to different pets and personalities, whether they’re energetic and playful or calm and more independent. ☺️ I always adapt my care to each pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. In my client’s home, I respect the pet’s usual environment and routine as much as possible, following feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions. I also make sure they get attention, playtime, and companionship so they don’t feel stressed while their owner is away. In my home, I provide a calm, safe, and clean environment. Since I currently don’t have pets at home, I can fully focus on your pet and adapt the space to their needs. I make sure they get enough exercise, mental stimulation, and rest, depending on their personality. I’m also comfortable providing basic care such as administering medication, cleaning litter boxes, and handling feeding routines. I always keep owners updated with messages and photos, so they feel reassured while they’re away.
Over: I’m a German au pair currently living in Amsterdam, taking care of two children during the week. Outside of those hours, I have a lot of flexibility and would love to spend my time pet-sitting—both to save up for university and because I genuinely love animals. Growing up, my family couldn’t have dogs or cats due to my dad’s allergy to animal dander, but I did have pets such as budgies. This taught me responsibility and daily animal care from a young age and made me appreciate every opportunity I now have to spend time with animals. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I regularly look after my boyfriend’s dog when his family is away, I feed and care for my neighbor’s cat during holidays, and I’ve often gone on walks with dogs belonging to family friends. I’m comfortable with routines, walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets calm, loving attention. I’m responsible, patient, and affectionate, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. During the week, I work as an au pair from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:00–8:00 PM. This gives me a large free time window late in the morning and early afternoon, ideal for dog walks, feeding cats, or short check-in visits. I’m also available early mornings and in the evenings when needed. On weekends, I’m fully flexible and available for longer stays or extended pet care. I’m a calm, patient, and empathetic person who helps pets feel safe and comfortable. I respect routines, boundaries, and individual needs, and I take my responsibility as a pet sitter very seriously. My goal is to provide a secure, calm, and stress-free environment where your pet feels well cared for while you’re away.
Over: I have been taking care of dogs since over 10 years ago. I LOVE dogs, positive trainning and dog wellbeing. I am happy fun person and I like to spend my time with dogs and walking. I have normally full availability the weekends and during the week after 18:30pm. After September I will have full availability for both boarding and staying over. I live in a very big flat surrounded by parks and nice areas to walk with your dog. I also have my bike to travel to your own area and I am always eager to explore new natural areas with your dog :) If your pet is a cat I can stay over or also not stay during the night but spend the day :)
Over: I have taken care for many years of dogs and cats, I use to have my own dog a beagle sense he was a puppy unfortunately he was 13 years hold when he passe away, I was terribly sad and still miss him so much he was a great dog part of the family. I also look after different kinds of dogs for couple of years most of the time medium size. I was happy to be in them company going for a walk in the Park playing with the ball running with them I was feeling good be around them and to have love back from them. I have plenty of free time during the day, that's because I am retired, it will be so nice if I can work with the dogs again I love animals and they love me to it makes me happy to spend times with them I like nature and to walk I live in the ground floor in a appartement with 2 garden 1 in the front and the other at the back is a very nice place by the canal with the beautiful view is also quiet and the neighbours are very kind. My house is big enough to have 2 dogs is also save with a fence.

Over: Hi, I’m Julia! I’m 27 years old, born and raised on a Swedish farm and now studying a Masters in Communication Science at UvA. I’m fluent in English, Dutch and Swedish (I can teach your dog some ;) ) Ever since I can remember I’ve been a big fan of dogs. I’ve had dogs around me my whole life, I grew up with a Golden Retriever and a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and have in my later teens helped raised two Kangals. I have a lot of understanding and respect for dogs, both big and small. Lately I’m sitting my brothers Cane Corso Enzo, he is a puppy who needs a lot of training, and I’m up for the challenge! Apart from my experience and love for animals, I am an active person who walks a lot, I love being in nature and I would say I have a lot of patience. Whether it’s an older dog who needs a slower pace, or an active dog who needs a long power walk, I’m up for it! Since I am a student at the UvA, some mornings and afternoons are blocked out, but also some days are totally free for me. I’ll be honest and say that my schedule might change every 2 months with new courses, but mostly I am busy 3 days of the week. Still, everyday I stay active by going on a walk in Amsterdamse bos, going to the gym or biking. I love to cook and to relax with my boyfriend at home (he is also crazy about dogs!) I live in an apartment of roughly 95 m2, with a big living room and a balcony (with a serious fence). There is an elevator as well for the seniors! We keep it clean with fresh air flowing. We live 3 minutes walking from the Amsterdamse Bos, it’s a national treasure and a dog heaven! My boyfriend and I live together have the same philosophy: the world does not end from a dog on the couch. But the of course, if your dog is not used to being on furniture, we will respect that. I will be as strict or relaxed as the dog needs me to be, I am a flexible dog sitter.

Samantha has been amazing with my dog, Cloey. She was on time, incredibly sweet, and clearly cares a lot about the dogs she walks. After Cloey came back from a walk, she’s happily exhausted, which says it all! Thank you so much for taking such great care of my girl 🥹🥰 I highly recommend her!

Christina really helped us out during my weekend away! From the moment she stepped in Lanka was very chill around Christina because of her calm energy! Everything went very smooth and Lanka seemed to enjoy the walks a lot. I would definitely recommend Christina to take care of your pet ;)
