Over: I have been taking care of dogs in the Netherlands for the past year. My father is a vet so growing up I was always around dogs. I will be the only carer. I live in a family with 2 daughters who adore dogs. They are 8 and 9. Our grandpa is a veterinary so I always grew up around dogs. I will be the caregiver by myself. I have a nice fenced garden and live in a very large house, near a green area. Very pet friendly neighbourhood. I love going for long walks in the bos.

Over: Ik heb vanaf jongs af aan altijd dieren om me heen gehad, konijnen, katten, honden, hamsters noem het maar op, ik hield toen al van de aanwezigheid en liefde van de dier. Zelf heb ik een poes van bijna 7 dat echt mijn kindje is en het het liefst zou ik ook een hond willen maar daar vind ik m’n woonruimte klein voor dus vandaar dat ik met liefde voor andere honden (en katten) zorg. Ik heb in de tijd dat ik in LA woonde voor 4 honden gezorgd, het was voor mij altijd weer een feestje om een lange wandeling te maken, zonnetje, palmbomen en honden wat wil je nog meer! :) Helaas is het in Amsterdam niet altijd mooi weer maar ook hier heb ik voor andermans honden gezorgd, oa als dierenbuddy, waar ik voor een oudere dame haar hond wekelijks uitliet. Mijn moeder heeft ook een hond die ik vaak uitlaat en naar de kapper breng en ophaal. Verder ken ik veel mensen met honden en die zijn altijd stapelgek om me (en andersom). Ook heb ik in het verleden op katten van buren en vrienden gepast en af en toe doe ik dat nog steeds voor een buurmeisje. Ik weet dat omgang met dieren gewoon mijn passie is en ik wil daarom uiteindelijk ook mijn eigen hondenuitlaat bedrijf beginnen. Ik ga binnenkort ook starten met een cursus dieren ehbo en ik ben ook veel aan het lezen over honden gedrag. Ik hoop dat mijn profiel je aanspreekt en ik met alle liefde voor je kleine (of grote) vriend kan zorgen. Ik werk 4 dagen per week, dinsdag, zaterdag en zondag zijn m’n vrije dagen dus dan ben ik vrij flexibel om voor je hond/kat te zorgen. Maandag en vrijdag overdag ben ik beschikbaar tot 15 uur en dinsdag, woensdag & donderdagavond ben ik ook beschikbaar. Ik heb zelf een kat thuis en zij is gewend om alleen te zijn dus ik weet niet of ik de huisdier bij mijzelf thuis kan opvangen

Over: I'm a 23-year-old Master’s student recently moved from Milan to Amsterdam. Animals have always been the center of my life. Back home, I’m a proud parent to two wonderful cats, aged 10 and 3, and a lovely 1-year-old rescue dog.

Over: Ik heb al sinds mijn 14e ervaring met honden. Samen met mijn familie adopteerde ik twee straathonden met gedragsproblemen, waarbij ik een groot deel van de zorg op me nam. Daarnaast heb ik een puppy gefosterd en regelmatig op oudere honden gepast. Hierdoor heb ik veel geduld ontwikkeld en ervaring opgedaan met honden die extra aandacht en begeleiding nodig hebben. Momenteel studeer ik, waarbij het grootste deel van mijn studie zelf studie is, en ik een flexibel rooster heb. Hierdoor ben ik maandag avond, woensdag de hele dag, donderdag avond, vrijdag de hele dag en in het weekend beschikbaar. Ik pas me aan aan jullie routine, veiligheidsregels en andere voorkeuren zodat jullie met een gerust hart je hondje bij mij kunnen laten. Over: Many of my friends and neighbours come to me for pet sitting - dogs and cats. I send them pictures every day, and the owners often say that their pets look so happy with me!! I'm gentle while firm, and will help your little animal stick to the rules and training, while giving them so much love that they deserve. I also have experience taking care of rabbits, guinea pigs, and parakeets. I work from home fully, so very flexible with my schedule and open to adapting to the needs of your little one. A typical schedule - 08:00 - a morning leg stretch; 12:00 - a bit of running in the neighbourhood park; 18:00 - a digestive walk to the lush dog park; 22:00 - a chill evening stroll. I have a big enough apartment for 3~5 animals, and they'll have plenty of space to run around! Your little animal will be allowed on furniture and the whole apartment, but not on the bed

Over: Hi! I've taken care of several pets, in high school I used to take care of my neighbours dog, I took care of my other neighbours cats, I have a little birdie at home myself :). I do not have experience with medical applications such as injections, but I am more than happy to company your buddies and take care od their needs! I'm currently studying, this semester is calmer than usual so most of my week is free. So I am quite flexible with scheduling! Although during exam weeks I will be less available than usual. Since I live in a student housing, I cannot bring little buddies home with me :(. However, I love spending time with them anywhere! I can company them at home according to house rules, or we can go on walks or play at parks.

I have Otto, my slightly mischievous orange cat, who has been part of my life for 5 years. 🐱 We rescued him from a small village in Spain where he had been abandoned and had almost lost an eye. I also make sure they get attention, playtime, and companionship so they don’t feel stressed while their owner is away. In my home, I provide a calm, safe, and clean environment. Since I currently don’t have pets at home, I can fully focus on your pet and adapt the space to their needs. I make sure they get enough exercise, mental stimulation, and rest, depending on their personality. I’m also comfortable providing basic care such as administering medication, cleaning litter boxes, and handling feeding routines. I always keep owners updated with messages and photos, so they feel reassured while they’re away.

Over: I’ve had my samoyed Lumi for 6 years, who we adopted as a puppy and I’ve had all responsibilities of. I therefore have experience caring for puppies and middle-aged dogs, doing long and short walks, grooming her coat, administering oral medication, and doing basic training. Similarly, I grew up with cats my entire life as my family had cats for as long as I can remember. I’ve also done pet sitting for my friends’ cats and dogs. I’m currently doing my first research project (basically half a thesis) for my Master’s, so I’m doing data collection for a lab. I only have on average one session each day, which takes about two hours, where I need to be at the lab. Some days I have no sessions at all and a completely free schedule, so I could do multiple walks, play time and lots of pets and love with your furry friends! On the weekends my schedule is completely free, and I have many friends who also absolutely adore pets, so we would love to have your pets socialize (if they enjoy doing so!) and receive lots of love from them, take them to cafes, or just spend one on one time with them at home (whatever they prefer). I have a smaller studio (30m2) which is only a good fit for small dogs and cats. Here, I would love to take their beds that they already are comfortable with, their litter, feeding plates etc. as I have ample space to put them, but they would also be very welcome to sleep on my couch or in my bed! For bigger dogs or any other pet that prefers to stay at home, I would love to take care of them in their own space.

Over: Hi! I’m Liz :) Speaking as a dog owner for eight years, I genuinely cherish every moment of this journey and I would absolutely happy to meet your dog/cat and enjoy all the time together! I learnt the most is that each pet has their own characteristics. For my dog she’s a bit shy, so at first not only teach her to do tricks, we encourage her to socialize with other dogs. But gradually I found out that, it is just not her - and as long as she felt safe and comfortable, that’s all we ask for. So not only treat each pet with care, I also treat them with respect and love! I’m currently working part time until September, so the schedule might be flexible. I’m usually at home Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Let’s talk more! We have an unfenced garden shared with other residents in the apartment, I can take the leash and walk them out here. There might be other dogs walking around during peak hours, so there’s always chances to make friends

Over: Two Dalmatians, a chihuahua, a Pomeranian and three mutts were my siblings growing up. I took care of them through every vet visit, may it be grooming days, sick days, or the few times they’ve given birth to puppies! I currently work part time so I am mostly at home and can do check-ins or walks, this is updated on my Rover calendar. I stay alert on walks and during home-sitting with pets. Care instructions for your little one will be carefully followed and depending on your preference, I can send updates throughout the sitting.

Over: I have been taking care of dogs since over 10 years ago. I LOVE dogs, positive trainning and dog wellbeing. I am happy fun person and I like to spend my time with dogs and walking. I have normally full availability the weekends and during the week after 18:30pm. After September I will have full availability for both boarding and staying over. I live in a very big flat surrounded by parks and nice areas to walk with your dog. I also have my bike to travel to your own area and I am always eager to explore new natural areas with your dog :) If your pet is a cat I can stay over or also not stay during the night but spend the day :)

Over: I am a 26-year-old Dutch guy with a great passion for dogs. Dogs have played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and have had four in total, two of which still live with my parents. Because of this, I have gained a lot of experience with different personalities, including more challenging and high-energy dogs. As a result, I know how to interact with dogs in a calm, clear, and confident way. I am also very good at reading canine communication, such as body language, posture, and behavior, which allows me to prevent escalation and step in when necessary. At the moment, I am exploring what I want to do in the future, and it is clear to me that it will involve dogs in some way, such as training or guidance. In the meantime, I have the time and flexibility to spend a lot of time with dogs, and there is honestly nothing I enjoy more. Being a dog sitter is therefore the perfect way for me to do something I genuinely love while also gaining even more experience and getting to know different dogs. To me, dogs are much more than just pets. I truly enjoy spending time with them and giving them the attention they deserve. I personally love going on walks, so taking a dog along is not only enjoyable company for me, but also a great balance where both the dog and I benefit from spending time outdoors. I find it very important that a dog feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which is why I always pay close attention to the individual character and needs of each dog. I actually enjoy working with more challenging or highly sensitive dogs as well. I stay calm, provide clear structure, and take the time to build trust so the dog knows what to expect. During walks, I pay close attention to the surroundings, safety, and the dog’s own signals. Owners can expect me to be responsible, reliable, and genuinely involved, and to treat their dog with patience, attention, and care. Clear communication is also very important to me, so owners always know how things are going. I read a dog’s emotional state by paying attention to the eyes, posture, energy level, and how the dog positions itself around other dogs. I also look for signs of confidence, stress, or dominance during interactions, such as the way a dog approaches, avoids, or lies down in social situations. This allows me to adapt my approach so that every dog feels safe and understood. During walks, I enjoy visiting natural environments such as parks or green areas where the dog can relax, explore, and comfortably do its business. I focus on calm, structured walks where the dog receives both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident handling dogs on a leash and can maintain good control in different situations. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I know how to apply reliable recall and how to keep the dog safe and engaged. I am also experienced in walking two dogs at the same time, so that is absolutely no problem for me. For a regular walk, you can expect me to walk with the dog for at least 40 minutes. Something else that may be reassuring for owners to know is that I am currently looking into part-time (16-hour) remote work that can be done fully independently. This means I am not tied to an office or stuck in long meetings, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the dog and the house. I am definitely not someone who is busy working all day and only quickly takes the dog out in between tasks — caring for the dog is genuinely my main priority. I may occasionally handle some light administrative work during the day, but aside from that, I am mainly present, flexible, and attentive. Because of this, I can keep a close eye on both the dog and the home, and owners can trust that everything will be calm, safe, and well taken care of. What I am currently in between jobs and taking the time to explore what I want to do long-term. One thing that is very clear to me is that I want my future to involve dogs in some way, whether that becomes dog training, behavioral guidance, or something similar. I am still figuring out exactly how I want to shape that path, but I think it is great that I can already gain valuable hands-on experience by caring for and spending time with different dogs through dog sitting and walking. At the moment, I have a flexible schedule and am mainly available during weekdays from late morning until the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, Rover does not offer an exact option for this, but in practice I am generally available between 10 AM and 5 PM to look after your dog at home or take your dog out for walks. Since I personally love walking as well, owners can expect me to take dogs on long, enjoyable walks with plenty of attention and care. I am also exploring the possibility of starting a part-time remote job later this summer for around 16 hours per week. The type of work I am looking at would be fully home-based, flexible, and low-pressure, without meetings or appointments that would require me to leave the house. Because of that, I would still have more than enough time, attention, and flexibility to properly care for dogs throughout the day. The dog’s wellbeing, attention, and routine would always remain my main priority while I am looking after them. Weekends can be a bit more difficult for me, although I may still be available depending on the situation, so you are always welcome to send me a message to check availability I currently live in an apartment complex and do not have a private garden, which means fulltime dog boarding at my home can be a bit more limited depending on the dog and the situation. However, if your dog only needs to stay somewhere for a few hours for example, to bridge part of the day rather than staying an entire day or overnight that is absolutely possible at my place. My apartment is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a dog for shorter periods of time. I already do this regularly with one of my parents’ dogs to help them out from time to time, so I am experienced in having dogs stay with me in a calm and comfortable environment. Of course, this is always coordinated properly, which means that if I am caring for your dog, there will not unexpectedly be another dog present unless discussed beforehand. I also genuinely enjoy being outdoors and spending active, quality time with dogs. With my own family dogs, I love doing simple things like playing with a tennis ball or a toy, practicing little tricks, going for walks, relaxing outside together, cuddling, and giving them attention. For me, it is really the small moments and connection with a dog that make it enjoyable, and spending time with dogs genuinely gives me a lot of energy and happiness. One important thing to mention is that Rover sometimes requires me to select fixed availability options that do not fully reflect how flexible I actually am. Because of that, it is possible that I may not always appear in certain search results. In reality, my availability is often much more flexible and depends a bit on the specific day and situation. So please feel free to send me a message, even if my profile settings seem limited I am usually more flexible than the Rover options may suggest.

Over: I treat every dog with love and care as if they’re my own. I have a lot of experience mainly for responsibly raising my own dog since I was a kid but also on multiple occasions taking care of others as well I’m currently working part-time so I have a lot of free time to take care of the amazing creatures we refer to as pets, I am completely free during the weekends and on most days of the week as well I am always very careful and responsible with not only making sure that the dog/s is having a great time but also respect your privacy and will not disturb your home environment
