I would highly recommend her services!”

Over: I’ve been caring for dogs since childhood. My family dog was reactive, so I’m experienced and calm with dogs of all temperaments. I now share my home with Waffles, a friendly toy poodle, so your dog will have a gentle companion. I work from home full time, so I’m always around and able to give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day. We typically do 1 to 3 walks daily, with potty breaks every 2 to 4 hours as needed. Your dog will never be left alone for lon We live in a quiet ground-floor apartment with direct access to the street, making potty breaks quick and easy. Over: Saying I’m good with dogs would be an understatement. I’ve had dogs all my life and the only reason I don’t have one myself right now is because I’m studying medicine and I don’t have the time. I’ve worked for a dog walking company for about a year which I absolutely adored, but also couldn’t keep doing due to my studies. I’ve trained my Old German Shepherd dog (who lives with my parents) through a trainer and learned how to train dogs quite well. Through the dog walking company I also got to be a dog sitter multiple times, for multiple days at a time. Most dogs trust me from the moment they meet me, and I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them. What sets me apart from other sitters is that I combine genuine love for dogs with real hands on experience, training knowledge, and a calm, trustworthy presence dogs naturally respond to. Having worked professionally as both a dog walker and a sitter, I’m very comfortable handling responsibility, routine and unexpected situations. Whether it’s a young energetic dog that needs structure and routine, or an older or more sensitive pup that needs patience and reassurance, I naturally adjust to what the dog needs. I also genuinely love spending time with dogs. Even though medicine takes up most of my time right now, dogs have always been the thing that grounds me and brings me joy. That means that when I care for someone’s dog, I don’t just do it as a side job, I do it with real attention and enthusiasm. You can rest assured: your dog will be safe with me. I’m currently working part time and studying full time until the end of june 2026.I will adjust my schedule based on the needs of your dog, meaning that when I accept your pet sitting request, caring for your dog will be the center of my attention. I care for your pet in whatever way you want or need me to! I live on the ground floor with no roommates, in a 42 square meter apartment. I have the Amsterdamse Bos at just walking distance and will always make time for a long walk once a day.
“Noodle was a bit restless and anxious when we left, but Sofia took her for a long walk which made Noodle relaxed and totally at ease. Noodle feels very comfortable with Sofia. Thank you Sofia for taking such good care of Noodle!”

“Ann was fantastic! She was very accommodating with our schedule for pickup/drop-off, and she was super sweet with our pup. I'd definitely recommend her and hope to work with her again. Thanks Ann!”

“Miao is an amazing cat sitter! She is incredibly responsible, reliable, and genuinely loves animals. Every single request I had was carried out perfectly and always on time. Throughout the entire week I was away, I felt completely at ease knowing that my cats were in safe and caring hands. Miao built a wonderful relationship with my pets, and it was clear that they felt comfortable and well cared for. I am truly grateful for her dedication, professionalism, and genuine affection for animals. Thanks to her, I was able to travel without worrying about my pets for a single moment. I will definitely ask for her help again in the future and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Without a doubt, Miao is the best pet sitter I have ever had!”

“Oscar took great care of our cats while we were away. They really enjoyed having him around and were very happy and relaxed when we got back! We will definitely be booking Oscar again :)”

Over: I'm a pet lover, always have been! Grew up with pets and have had experience living with animals since young. I've had tortoises, fish and cats! My grandparents also had dogs so I have some experience with that. My longest pet was a little cat named Kitty I had from a kitten and handled everything for, from changing the litter box to taking her to the vet and giving her medication. Unfortunately she passed away last year at the age of 17. I'm a student, so it's quite easy for me to head over after university to take your pet out on a walk or feed them. Also, currently I live alone, making it easy for me to adjust my schedule and stay out late if needed. I can pet sit, so feed them, change litter, give medication if needed :) I'm also totally happy to take your pet out on walks! Living with pets for most of my life, I'm quite observant and have some experience in noticing when a pet's acting a little odd as well
“Elena took amazing care of our cat and kitten (and home!) over Christmas when we were out the country. She was absolutely great! The communication was super clear and we received lots of pictures of our cats, making it feel like we knew what they were up to every day. :)”

Over: I have 6 years of experience caring for cats and currently have two cats of my own: a 7-year-old British Shorthair boy and a 5-year-old Chinchilla/British Shorthair silver shaded mixed girl. Both are neutered and very healthy. Over the years, I have gained experience handling different situations including ringworm, urinary blockage, vomiting, diarrhea, heat-related behaviors, medication administration, vet visits, and daily home care. Fortunately, my cats rarely get sick because I pay close attention to their nutrition, health, and emotional wellbeing. I am experienced with mixed wet and dry food feeding, and I also make homemade cat meals and meatballs to provide balanced nutrition. Since my cats are naturally prone to weight gain, I care a lot about healthy weight management and regular exercise to protect their heart and overall health. I truly enjoy spending time with cats and keeping them mentally and physically active. I can play with them using teaser wands, balls, cat trees, scratching boards, interactive toys, laser pointers, and other enrichment activities depending on each cat’s personality and preferences. I am also happy to follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, litter cleaning, playtime, companionship, or exercise and weight-control plans. I understand that every cat has a different personality, and I always try to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away. :)

Over: I’ve had contact with cats since childhood, as my family always had pets. My understanding of cat behavior grew even more when I lived with two cats during university, and today I have two lovely cats of my own. I also worked as a pet sitter in Brazil for a few months before moving abroad. I’m comfortable caring for cats with different personalities and routines, and I always make sure they feel safe, calm, and well cared for.

“Absolutely wonderful experience. Irene and her daughters took such great care of my pet and treated them with so much love and attention. Super kind, reliable, and clearly true animal lovers. I felt completely at ease the whole time. Couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter — highly recommended!”

Over: I’ve taken care of cats since i was 16, including my neighbours, family friends and connections through pet organisations. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved and I take pride in creating a calm environment where they can relax and be themselves.

Over: I’m a German au pair currently living in Amsterdam, caring for two children during the week. Outside of those hours, I have flexible availability and would love to focus on cat sitting—both to save up for university and because I genuinely enjoy caring for cats. I have hands-on experience looking after cats in different settings. I regularly feed and care for my neighbor’s cat when they are on holiday, and I’ve also previously worked as an au pair in a household with a cat, where I was responsible for daily care such as feeding, litter box cleaning, and keeping the cat company. Growing up, my family couldn’t have dogs or cats due to my dad’s allergy to animal dander, but I did have pets such as budgies. This taught me responsibility and attentiveness to animals’ needs from a young age and made me especially appreciative of every opportunity to care for cats now. I’m calm, patient, and respectful of cats’ individual personalities. Whether your cat is playful or more independent, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

Over: When it comes to cats, my most cherished memories involve volunteering at a pet hospital, where I cared for elderly and abandoned felines. Although I’ve never owned a cat due to my mother’s dander allergy, I’ve always held a deep affection for them. I’m fascinated by how each cat carries an independent spirit, a distinct personality, and its own set of quirky preferences. During my time at the hospital, the absolute highlight of my day was always that quiet, precious window of time spent in their company.

Over: A house isn’t a home without the soft sound of paws. At 41, my life in Amsterdam is defined by the quiet patience and deep bond that only a cat can offer. Living with my own two "mini-panthers" has taught me that every feline has a unique language, and I’m here to listen. I know your cat isn't just a pet, they are the soul of your home. Whether they need playful engagement or simply a calm soul to keep them company, I treat them like my own family. I bring a routine-focused, tidy, and communicative approach to every visit, ensuring your home remains a peaceful sanctuary while you’re away. What you can expect: Feline Enrichment: Tailored play sessions, from high-energy wand chasing to gentle mental stimulation. Cat Expertise: Deep understanding of feline behavior, boundaries, and that essential "calm energy." Total Transparency: Daily photo/video updates and a spotless home (litter area included!). Reliability: Based in Zuidoost, serving a 15km radius with clear, consistent communication. If you’re looking for a sitter who is as intuitive as your cat and respects their unique personality, let’s set up a meet-and-greet! Paws, purrs, and loads of fur love to give, Aurora

Over: I’ve loved cats my whole life and have taken care of a variety of them for family and friends. The cat’s comfort is the most important thing to me and I always try to make sure I’m listening to their needs. I have experience with dietary restrictions, caring for both senior and young cats, and with nervous cats. Additionally, I like to study cats in my free time to learn more about them, as an interest of mine. I’m home for most of the summer and am flexible with scheduling. Feel free to ask me any questions!

Groetjes Rixt :)
Over: I grew up in farm in Northern Spain, so I've always been around dogs, cats, chickens, sheeps, goats, pigs and horses. I love animals and they usually love me back! I will put all my effort to have you and your pet as comfortable as possible. I'm looking forward to hear from you :) I just finished my masters degree and I'm actively looking for a job in the city. Right now all my jobs al project based so I'm pretty flexible. I will walk with your dog, stay at your place or go feed them when necessary always spending quality time to keep them happy when you can't be there

Over: I’ve lived with cats for many years and understand that every cat has a different personality and routine. I’m patient, attentive, and comfortable caring for both playful and shy cats. I’ll make sure your cat feels safe, fed, and well cared for while you’re away.
Over: I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities since I was 10 years old. Over the past decade, neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. I’m comfortable with high-energy pups, gentle seniors, and everything in between. I can also help with crate training, giving medications, and ensuring your dog feels safe and happy while you’re away. I have lots of flexibility to devote to your pets since I'm not employed and focusing on my Masters. I’m available for boarding during the week or weekends and can provide walks, drop-ins, or playtime on weekdays after anytime. Your pet’s routine is important to me, so I’ll make sure their schedule is followed as closely as possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. l have a very secure place. I can easily separate or crate dogs if needed, ensuring a safe environment for every pup. Whether in my home or yours, I keep a close eye on pets, give them plenty of exercise, and maintain a clean, comfortable space so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

“We couldn’t be happier with Naroa ! She took such wonderful care of our dog, making sure she was loved, safe, and happy. We had a few last-minute requests, and she handled them with ease and complete flexibility, going above and beyond to accommodate us. From regular updates to walks and playtime, she made sure our pup had the best care possible. Highly recommend Naroa to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and dependable pet sitter 🙏🏼”

Over: I've taken care of my family dog since I was 14, and later I got a beautiful cat named April. In the past years, I regularly sat with my friend's cats and dogs when they traveled, and helped with neighbors' pets too. I love and care deeply about pets and always take the best care of them, so you can be sure your pet will be in the best hands. I'm currently working part-time and working from home. My schedule is very flexible, and I am free on weekends. I can also stay overnight or on holidays if needed. I live in a pet-friendly apartment that is safe and has enough space for both cats and dogs to play! I can also arrange a dedicated area for toys and sleep/bed.
Over: I grew up with pets (dogs and rodents) and have taken care of pets practically my whole life. 5 years ago, I took a wonderful boy called Charlie home from the shelter (you can see him in all of my pictures). He was already a bit older, and I was lucky to have him by my side for 4.5 years until he sadly passed away last October. I have a big heart for animals, and therefore miss taking care of a hairy friend! I have experience with taking care of both small and larger dogs, as well as senior dogs and dogs with medical needs. I recently started a PhD and am therefore not home during work days (mo-fr). This is why I currently am not in the position of adopting a dog myself, but would love to take care of dogs on the weekends when I am home. When taking care of a dog I adjust my routine to meet the needs of the dog. I try to suit the needs of the animal and respect their boundaries. If they prefer to be lazy or alone, I give them space, if they prefer interaction and play, I give them attention. I feed them and walk them as agreed with the owner.

Over: I love dogs more than humans, which is honestly why you want me watching yours. I don't treat this like a job or a chore I just like hanging out with them. On nice days, expect me to walk your dog to the park for well over an hour just to let them run around and explore. You can do your thing without feeling guilty, knowing your dog is getting all my attention. My schedule is pretty flexible and easy to work around. I usually handle walks in the mornings or early afternoons, but let me know what you need and we can make it work. I’m always happy to do a quick meet and greet with you and your dog before any official bookings just to make sure we’re all a great fit for each other. I also prefer to focus on one dog at a time, though I can take multiples upon request if they're from the same household.

“Hallo, gisteren is onze Labrador Cas bij Michelle geweest en wat een leuke vrouw is Michelle, de ervaring en behendigheid straalt van haar af. wij hebben dit (ik en Cas) als zeer fijn ervaren en we gaan dit bijna elke maandag doen op deze manier.”

Over: I work in Marketing & Communications and live in between 2 parks - Oosterpark and Frankendael park. I love walking, so your dog will always be entertained. I had 2 wonderful family members - a big poodle and a Coker spaniel, who lived happy long lives. As a dog sitter I provide care and safety for your pets, long walks and fun games, as well as maintaining discipline. I usually babysit the dogs of my friends and people I know and I’d like to do it for more owners and their fluffy kids:) I’d like your pet to be dropped off prior to 8am and to be picked up after 6pm on the weekdays. On a weekend the drop off and pick up are flexible. I take notes on the owners preferences and keep the dog’s usual routine to keep them away from stress. Depending on the dog’s personality, I can engage them in games and long walks or provide some space for them to be comfortable. I genially love dogs and do my best for them to enjoy the stay.
“Mayte was incredibly kind and patient with our dog, who was anxious at first. She helped her feel safe and comfortable, and kept us updated throughout, which gave us great peace of mind. We truly appreciated her care and communication and would happily trust her again.”

Over: I am Ann, a responsible, playful dog owner in Oud Zuid with 20+ years of experience caring for dogs. I have helped take care of special needs dogs in the past-our family dog was blind, and another dog is missing a limb....so I know how to care after the ones that need help the most. We have two rescued dogs, Soju and Sokka. We have a nice space with hardwood floors and a fenced yard. I plan on treating your dog as part of the family - giving them all the play time they need to be happy! I'm currently at home full time so your pup gets plenty of attention. The daily routine includes going to nearby parks (Vondel or Beatrix) and additional potty break walks around the neighborhood. I like to cater to the dogs needs and walking endurance. I have a fenced yard and two dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed. We have plenty of toys and treats. Please inform of any allergies or restrictions.
Over: I’ve volunteered at a local animal rescue and worked as a pet sitter, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, litter cleaning, and giving medication when needed. Whether it’s a shy cat, an energetic dog, or a senior pet needing special attention, I always make sure they feel safe, calm, and loved. My goal is to make every pet as happy and comfortable as if they were at home. I moved to the Netherlands less than a year ago and am currently taking time to explore life and do what I truly love — caring for animals. Since I’m not working full-time, my schedule is very flexible, and I have plenty of time to give pets the attention, care, and companionship they need throughout the day. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with my 9-year-old cat, who is calm and friendly with both cats and dogs. My home is safe, clean, and cozy — perfect for pets to relax and feel at ease. I always make sure windows and doors are secure, and that the space is free from anything that could harm curious paws. When I care for pets at my clients’ homes, I follow their routines carefully and keep everything as familiar as possible. I also send regular photo and video updates so owners can feel at ease knowing their pets are happy and safe.
“Vanesa took care of Mambo and Mambo had an amazing time! Mambo was completely relaxed during his stay with Vanesa, and he was calm and very happy when I picked him up. Vanesa told me how the day went and I noticed, based on what she told me, that she really took good care of Mambo while at home but also during walks. I definitely recommend Vanesa if you're in need of a nice and careful person to take care of your dog.”

Over: I have adopted three cats and raised them from just one month old to now four years old, and I’m proud that they are all healthy and happy. I love playing with pets and have great patience with animals. I follow a scientific approach to feeding and training, always making sure they maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine. I have also helped friends take care of their cats many times while they were traveling or on business trips. I understand that kittens can feel nervous in a new environment, and I’m good at helping them relax and feel safe. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility. I’m flexible and available Monday to Wednesday, Thursday, and weekends to provide loving, responsible care. In my care, pets are always treated with safety and comfort as the first priority. At my home, I provide a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment with plenty of space for play and rest. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I make sure to follow all routines closely, including feeding, walks, and playtime, so pets feel secure and comfortable in a familiar setting. I also pay close attention to each animal’s personality and needs—whether that means giving extra cuddles, helping a shy kitten relax, or ensuring an energetic dog gets enough exercise. Owners can trust that their pets will be cared for responsibly, lovingly, and with respect.

We work/study from home most of the time, so we’d love to have some furry company—and offer your dog a warm, calm environment with plenty of attention. Being a pet sitter lets me share my love for animals while giving them the care and companionship they need when you’re away. My partner and I are both students at the moment, so our schedules are very flexible and we spend most of our time at home studying or working on assignments. This means we have plenty of time to be with your fur baby and give them lots of attention, care, and companionship! We care for pets in a safe, calm, and clean environment, either in our home or the owner’s home. We follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. Pets are always supervised during playtime and walks, never left alone for long. We also carefully follow any instructions from the owner to ensure the best care.

Over: Hi, I’m Ella! I’m 21 years old, originally from Denmark, grew up in Dubai, and currently a university student in Amsterdam. I’m a reliable and dedicated pet sitter with a genuine love for animals. I grew up in a home where we always had two dogs at a time, four in total, which means being around dogs has always been a natural part of my life. Since moving abroad, I truly miss having dogs around, so pet sitting is something I value not just as a responsibility, but as something I genuinely enjoy. I provide tailored care to your pet’s individual needs. Walks are adapted to your dog’s energy level, whether that means a longer, active walk or a more relaxed pace. During visits, I make sure your pet gets plenty of attention and playtime while also respecting their routine and personal space. I always follow feeding schedules, routines, and any specific instructions closely to ensure peace of mind for you as an owner. I also love to keep you updated with messages and lots of photos during bookings, so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for! 🥰 I’m comfortable with a range of personalities and always approach animals with patience, respect, and care. I stay attentive in all situations and prioritize your pet’s safety and wellbeing at all times (I have had an aggressive dog myself, so I know how to handle reactive dogs!) I’d love to take care of your furry family! 🐾 (My two dogs are at home with my family, so my apartment is animal free except for my lovely flatmate who also loves animals)❤️ I’m currently a university student with a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. I’m available almost every day, and I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine whenever possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a calm environment with easy access to a nearby open park, which is perfect for walks, playtime, and exercise. I always follow care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, routines, and any specific needs your pet may have. I’m attentive during walks and ensure dogs are kept safely on leash unless otherwise agreed. My goal is to create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where your pet feels relaxed and well cared for.

Over: I’m Simone (26), Amsterdam local studying at the University of Amsterdam. I’m only at uni about five hours a week, so I’m home most of the day. 😊 My partner Sam (26) is from England and is working on his PhD. He works from home most days. This means your pet will almost always have one of us around! Sam grew up with a Labrador and cats, so caring for animals has always been part of his life. 🦮🐈 We live in a cozy (37m²) studio in Amsterdam-East, right next to Park Frankendael. Because of our studio setup, our home is best suited for small to medium-sized companion dogs. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to accept large guardian types, mastiffs, or large bull breeds like Pit Bulls, Staffies, and Rottweilers. There is plenty of green space nearby for walks (Ring Dijk, Weesperzijde) 🌲 There is also parking available next to the apartment. If allowed, we love going on longer walks, including trips to the Amsterdam Forest or past nearby cafés. Of course, we always follow your rules and only take pets to places where they are comfortable. If you're looking for someone kind, responsible, and genuinely happy to hang out with your furry friend, I’d love to meet you! I can also send you picture updates!! 💓📸 P.S. I (Simone) also speak Dutch. 🇳🇱 I am a student at the University of Amsterdam, and my partner is completing his PhD, which means our home is almost never empty! Because we are both primarily home based, your pet will benefit from a very consistent routine with frequent potty breaks, interactive playtime, and a quiet, calm environment perfect for naps. :) Between our schedules, there is nearly always someone here to provide company and supervision. On the rare occasion that we are both out for lectures or research, it is never for more than 5 hours. We are more than happy to adjust our daily flow to match your pet's needs! Our apartment is kept tidy and pet proofed for safety. Although we live on the 4th floor, our building has an elevator, making it easily accessible for dogs of all ages and mobility levels! :) Downstairs, there is a ramp in addition to the stairs (which is much better for the short-legged paws) We are located right next to Park Frankendael, which offers wonderful, green routes for our daily walks. We follow your specific instructions regarding feeding, medication, and sleep habits to ensure your dog’s routine stays consistent. As we love taking pictures you will also get consistent photo updates so you can see exactly how your pup is settling in!

—— I’ve grown up with dogs from a young age—especially sighthounds—and they’ve been a big part of my life ever since. Caring for dogs truly comes from the heart: I love giving them the attention, affection, and care they deserve, and I enjoy spending time with all kinds of dogs. I’m familiar with basic training and always handle dogs in a calm, safe, and responsible way, so both you and your dog can feel comfortable and at ease. I’m not doing this alone—my loving partner, who also has a big heart for dogs, helps create a warm and welcoming environment. With us, your dog will receive not only great care, but also plenty of attention, cuddles, and a cozy home away from home Ik ben opgegroeid met honden en zou het liefst zelf één (of twee!) hebben. I’ve grown up with dogs and would love to have one (or two!) of my own. As that’s not possible in my current situation, I truly enjoy caring for dogs as a sitter. Dogs fit naturally into my daily routine: I’m flexible and make sure they are walked at least three times a day, with a lovely park just around the corner for extra exercise and fun. Your dog will be in a safe, loving environment, and there is always someone at home to give them attention and company Ik woon in een schoon en liefdevol appartement op de tweede verdieping (zonder lift), waar jouw hond zich snel thuis zal voelen. I live in a clean and loving second-floor apartment (without an elevator), where your dog will quickly feel at home. My home is all about safety, trust, and a calm, welcoming environment. Dogs are allowed on the couch and are truly treated as part of the family. I care for your dog with love and attention, including brushing and, if needed, a refreshing bath after a nice walk in the park or woods. I make sure they receive all the attention, exercise, and care they need to feel happy, relaxed, and comfortable

Over: I’ve loved animals my whole life and have had several pets throughout my life. I’ve taken care of a variety of animals for family and friends: from fish, frogs, and hamsters, to dogs and cats of varying breeds. The animal’s comfort is the most important thing to me and I always try to make sure I’m listening to their needs. I have experience with bathing and grooming dogs specifically, dietary restrictions with dogs and cats, and caring for both senior and young pets. Additionally, I like to study animals in my free time to learn more about them, as an interest of mine. I’m home for most of the summer and am flexible with scheduling. Feel free to ask me any questions! I’m currently home from university for most of the summer and not working so I can spend plenty of time with your baby! I live close to Zuid so I can easily get to where you live. I don’t mind accommodating for different personalities of pets and I’m happy to play all day or give them alone time. We can also go on as many walks and bathroom breaks as they need- whatever schedule is best for them :) Having pets myself, I can understand the stress of leaving them with a sitter and I’m more than happy to accommodate to your pet’s individual needs. Whether they would like lots of playing or personal space, or if they need any special attention- like extra bathroom breaks or help moving around. I can’t stay overnight but I’m very happy to come early in the morning and leave late at night if that is better. My main priority is the comfort of your pet so I’m very flexible with any adjustments that will make them feel more at ease!
“Brian is a natural! Our girl responded to him immediately and loved playing with him. Brian has a gentle nature and made her feel relaxed and easy right away. We are looking forward to more walks!”

Over: I’m a German au pair currently living in Amsterdam, taking care of two children during the week. Outside of those hours, I have a lot of flexibility and would love to spend my time pet-sitting—both to save up for university and because I genuinely love animals. Growing up, my family couldn’t have dogs or cats due to my dad’s allergy to animal dander, but I did have pets such as budgies. This taught me responsibility and daily animal care from a young age and made me appreciate every opportunity I now have to spend time with animals. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I regularly look after my boyfriend’s dog when his family is away, I feed and care for my neighbor’s cat during holidays, and I’ve often gone on walks with dogs belonging to family friends. I’m comfortable with routines, walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets calm, loving attention. I’m responsible, patient, and affectionate, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. During the week, I work as an au pair from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:00–8:00 PM. This gives me a large free time window late in the morning and early afternoon, ideal for dog walks, feeding cats, or short check-in visits. I’m also available early mornings and in the evenings when needed. On weekends, I’m fully flexible and available for longer stays or extended pet care. I’m a calm, patient, and empathetic person who helps pets feel safe and comfortable. I respect routines, boundaries, and individual needs, and I take my responsibility as a pet sitter very seriously. My goal is to provide a secure, calm, and stress-free environment where your pet feels well cared for while you’re away.
Over: Pet Care Experience I have hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs, mainly by helping friends while they were away. My responsibilities included feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, walking dogs, and spending quality time playing and keeping pets company. I always pay close attention to each pet’s routine and personality to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. What sets me apart is my calm, patient, and attentive approach. I take time to build trust with each animal and respect their boundaries, whether they are playful, shy, or independent. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I carefully follow the owner’s instructions and routines. I also live in Amsterdam Zuidoost, which allows me to be flexible and reliable with visits. My goal is always to make sure pets feel relaxed, cared for, and loved—just like they would with their own family. Pet care fits well into my weekday routine. I’m available on weekdays and can plan visits flexibly during the day or early evening. I always make sure to arrive on time and give pets my full attention during each visit. I treat every pet owner’s home with care, respect, and responsibility. I follow all instructions regarding feeding, walking, and playtime, and make sure water bowls, litter boxes, and living spaces are clean and safe. I ensure doors and windows are secure and supervise pets closely to prevent accidents. My goal is to provide peace of mind to owners while giving cats and dogs gentle, attentive care in a safe and comfortable environment.
Over: Hi, I’m Miao! I grew up with cats and dogs around me, so taking care of them feels completely natural to me. I don’t just look after their basic needs, I also pay attention to how they’re feeling, making sure they get playtime, cuddles, and plenty of attention. I also have experience giving medication when needed and can spot some common signs if a pet isn’t feeling well. If I notice anything unusual, I’ll let you know right away so your pet can get the right care as soon as possible. Most of all, I really enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m a student with a flexible schedule and plenty of free time. Most afternoons and evenings I’m available, so I can care for pets almost every day. I’m also happy to adjust my schedule when needed, so your pet’s routine can stay consistent and comfortable. I usually provide pet care by visiting your home, so your pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I make sure to follow all your instructions carefully and respect your home’s rules. I’m very attentive to safety, whether it’s making sure doors and windows are secure, or keeping an eye on your pets so they don’t get into anything harmful.

Over: I have been taking care of dogs in the Netherlands for the past year. My father is a vet so growing up I was always around dogs. I will be the only carer. I live in a family with 2 daughters who adore dogs. They are 8 and 9. Our grandpa is a veterinary so I always grew up around dogs. I will be the caregiver by myself. I have a nice fenced garden and live in a very large house, near a green area. Very pet friendly neighbourhood. I love going for long walks in the bos.

Over: Hi! I’m Liz :) Speaking as a dog owner for eight years, I genuinely cherish every moment of this journey and I would absolutely happy to meet your dog/cat and enjoy all the time together! I learnt the most is that each pet has their own characteristics. For my dog she’s a bit shy, so at first not only teach her to do tricks, we encourage her to socialize with other dogs. But gradually I found out that, it is just not her - and as long as she felt safe and comfortable, that’s all we ask for. So not only treat each pet with care, I also treat them with respect and love! I’m currently working part time until September, so the schedule might be flexible. I’m usually at home Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Let’s talk more! We have an unfenced garden shared with other residents in the apartment, I can take the leash and walk them out here. There might be other dogs walking around during peak hours, so there’s always chances to make friends
Over: Hi! My name is Jorge, and I’ve spent years surrounded by animals who have made my life so much happier. I have Otto, my slightly mischievous orange cat, who has been part of my life for 5 years. 🐱 We rescued him from a small village in Spain where he had been abandoned and had almost lost an eye. With patience, love, and quite a few eye drops and medications (which he didn’t enjoy at all!), he made a full recovery. He now lives happily with my family in Spain. I’ve also cared for Patín, my aunt’s senior cat, who I loved spending quiet time with, especially sitting together in the sun while he purred non-stop. ☀️ In addition, I’ve spent the past 4 years helping care for Junior, my partner’s family dog 🐶. We’ve taken care of his daily needs, including regular walks (up to three times a day), and I’ve also handled situations requiring extra care, such as paw issues, digestive problems, and eye treatments. This has given me hands-on experience with both routine care and more specific needs. Currently, I live in Amsterdam and do not have any pets at home, which means I can fully adapt to your pet’s needs, whether that’s caring for cats or dogs, either in your home or mine. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet as if they were their own. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, or boarding, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. ❤️ I’m really looking forward to meeting your furry companion! I’m currently based in Amsterdam and actively looking for a job as a designer, which means I have full availability at the moment and can easily adapt my schedule to your pet’s needs. Once I start working, I’ll still be available on weekends (Friday to Sunday) and during weekday evenings. I live in a very green area near the Amstel River, which is perfect for walks and outdoor time. I enjoy staying active (going for walks, running, or cycling) but I also appreciate quieter moments at home, like watching a movie, cooking, or reading. Because of this balance, I can easily adapt to different pets and personalities, whether they’re energetic and playful or calm and more independent. ☺️ I always adapt my care to each pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. In my client’s home, I respect the pet’s usual environment and routine as much as possible, following feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions. I also make sure they get attention, playtime, and companionship so they don’t feel stressed while their owner is away. In my home, I provide a calm, safe, and clean environment. Since I currently don’t have pets at home, I can fully focus on your pet and adapt the space to their needs. I make sure they get enough exercise, mental stimulation, and rest, depending on their personality. I’m also comfortable providing basic care such as administering medication, cleaning litter boxes, and handling feeding routines. I always keep owners updated with messages and photos, so they feel reassured while they’re away.

Over: I am a 26-year-old Dutch guy with a great passion for dogs. Dogs have played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and have had four in total, two of which still live with my parents. Because of this, I have gained a lot of experience with different personalities, including more challenging and high-energy dogs. As a result, I know how to interact with dogs in a calm, clear, and confident way. I am also very good at reading canine communication, such as body language, posture, and behavior, which allows me to prevent escalation and step in when necessary. At the moment, I am exploring what I want to do in the future, and it is clear to me that it will involve dogs in some way, such as training or guidance. In the meantime, I have the time and flexibility to spend a lot of time with dogs, and there is honestly nothing I enjoy more. Being a dog sitter is therefore the perfect way for me to do something I genuinely love while also gaining even more experience and getting to know different dogs. To me, dogs are much more than just pets. I truly enjoy spending time with them and giving them the attention they deserve. I personally love going on walks, so taking a dog along is not only enjoyable company for me, but also a great balance where both the dog and I benefit from spending time outdoors. I find it very important that a dog feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which is why I always pay close attention to the individual character and needs of each dog. I actually enjoy working with more challenging or highly sensitive dogs as well. I stay calm, provide clear structure, and take the time to build trust so the dog knows what to expect. During walks, I pay close attention to the surroundings, safety, and the dog’s own signals. Owners can expect me to be responsible, reliable, and genuinely involved, and to treat their dog with patience, attention, and care. Clear communication is also very important to me, so owners always know how things are going. I read a dog’s emotional state by paying attention to the eyes, posture, energy level, and how the dog positions itself around other dogs. I also look for signs of confidence, stress, or dominance during interactions, such as the way a dog approaches, avoids, or lies down in social situations. This allows me to adapt my approach so that every dog feels safe and understood. During walks, I enjoy visiting natural environments such as parks or green areas where the dog can relax, explore, and comfortably do its business. I focus on calm, structured walks where the dog receives both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident handling dogs on a leash and can maintain good control in different situations. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I know how to apply reliable recall and how to keep the dog safe and engaged. I am also experienced in walking two dogs at the same time, so that is absolutely no problem for me. For a regular walk, you can expect me to walk with the dog for at least 40 minutes. Something else that may be reassuring for owners to know is that I am currently looking into part-time (16-hour) remote work that can be done fully independently. This means I am not tied to an office or stuck in long meetings, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the dog and the house. I am definitely not someone who is busy working all day and only quickly takes the dog out in between tasks — caring for the dog is genuinely my main priority. I may occasionally handle some light administrative work during the day, but aside from that, I am mainly present, flexible, and attentive. Because of this, I can keep a close eye on both the dog and the home, and owners can trust that everything will be calm, safe, and well taken care of. What I am currently in between jobs and taking the time to explore what I want to do long-term. One thing that is very clear to me is that I want my future to involve dogs in some way, whether that becomes dog training, behavioral guidance, or something similar. I am still figuring out exactly how I want to shape that path, but I think it is great that I can already gain valuable hands-on experience by caring for and spending time with different dogs through dog sitting and walking. At the moment, I have a flexible schedule and am mainly available during weekdays from late morning until the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, Rover does not offer an exact option for this, but in practice I am generally available between 10 AM and 5 PM to look after your dog at home or take your dog out for walks. Since I personally love walking as well, owners can expect me to take dogs on long, enjoyable walks with plenty of attention and care. I am also exploring the possibility of starting a part-time remote job later this summer for around 16 hours per week. The type of work I am looking at would be fully home-based, flexible, and low-pressure, without meetings or appointments that would require me to leave the house. Because of that, I would still have more than enough time, attention, and flexibility to properly care for dogs throughout the day. The dog’s wellbeing, attention, and routine would always remain my main priority while I am looking after them. Weekends can be a bit more difficult for me, although I may still be available depending on the situation, so you are always welcome to send me a message to check availability I currently live in an apartment complex and do not have a private garden, which means fulltime dog boarding at my home can be a bit more limited depending on the dog and the situation. However, if your dog only needs to stay somewhere for a few hours for example, to bridge part of the day rather than staying an entire day or overnight that is absolutely possible at my place. My apartment is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a dog for shorter periods of time. I already do this regularly with one of my parents’ dogs to help them out from time to time, so I am experienced in having dogs stay with me in a calm and comfortable environment. Of course, this is always coordinated properly, which means that if I am caring for your dog, there will not unexpectedly be another dog present unless discussed beforehand. I also genuinely enjoy being outdoors and spending active, quality time with dogs. With my own family dogs, I love doing simple things like playing with a tennis ball or a toy, practicing little tricks, going for walks, relaxing outside together, cuddling, and giving them attention. For me, it is really the small moments and connection with a dog that make it enjoyable, and spending time with dogs genuinely gives me a lot of energy and happiness. One important thing to mention is that Rover sometimes requires me to select fixed availability options that do not fully reflect how flexible I actually am. Because of that, it is possible that I may not always appear in certain search results. In reality, my availability is often much more flexible and depends a bit on the specific day and situation. So please feel free to send me a message, even if my profile settings seem limited I am usually more flexible than the Rover options may suggest.

Over: I recently moved away from home, and I really miss my dog! I love walking her, and was hoping to find a new friend to walk. I’ve previously also walked dogs in my other neighborhood:) My routine is quite diverse under the week, so it’s dependent on the day! However I am almost always free to walk on the weekends!! I sadly can’t have animals in my home, however I would be willing to talk about offering pet sitting, depending on when and how long :)
Over: Lifelong Dog Lover & Reliable Sitter Transitioning into Professional TrainingMy journey with dogs began when I was just 6 years old. Growing up, I was always the one responsible for feeding, walking, and teaching basic manners to our family dogs. Over the years, I have lived with six different dogs of various breeds and temperaments, which taught me how to read canine body language and adapt to their individual needs. For years, I have been the "go-to" person for family and friends. Whether it’s Christmas, Easter, or long summer vacations, they trust me to stay in their homes and provide a consistent, loving routine for their pets.Currently, my mother’s dog has passed away and my living situation doesn't allow for a dog of my own just yet. I genuinely miss having "four paws and a tail" around the house! I am using this time to gain even more hands-on experience before I begin professional dog training courses. What I offer:Active Walks: I know the best spots in Amsterdam for a good sniff and stretch.Basic Reinforcement: I love practicing "sit," "stay," and "heel" to keep your dog’s mind sharp.Reliability: I treat every dog as if they were my own family.Updates: You’ll receive plenty of photos and updates so you know your best friend is having a great time.I can’t wait to meet your pup and provide them with the care and attention they deserve! As a bartender, my schedule is the perfect mirror for a dog’s needs. I am fully available during the mornings and afternoons—exactly when most dogs are looking for their longest walks and most engagement while their owners are at work.I am already an active person who walks several kilometers through Amsterdam’s parks every day; I’m simply looking for a 'four-legged' companion to join me! When I head to work in the evening, my partner is home, ensuring that your pet is never left alone and continues to get plenty of attention and cuddles. It’s a tag-team approach that guarantees your dog a consistent, high-energy, and supervised routine all day and night. In my home: Your dog becomes a part of our family during their stay. Because I work evenings and my partner is home at night, your pet will enjoy 24/7 supervision. Our routine is focused on balance:Active Mornings: We start the day with a long, stimulating walk in the local parks to burn off energy.Training & Play: I love incorporating 'brain games' and basic command reinforcement during the day to keep them engaged.Constant Company: Whether I’m relaxing before my shift or my partner is winding down in the evening, there is always a lap available for cuddles. We have a pet-safe environment where your dog can feel at ease."In your home (House Sitting/Drop-ins):"I respect your home as much as I care for your pet. When staying at your place, I aim to keep your dog’s exact routine to minimize stress.Consistency: I follow your specific feeding, walking, and medication schedules strictly.Security: I am a responsible and tidy guest. I ensure your home is secure and kept in perfect condition.Communication: I provide frequent photo and video updates so you can see your dog is happy and relaxed in their own environment.City Navigation: Having lived in Amsterdam, I am very comfortable navigating city streets safely, ensuring your dog is always secure on the leash and away from busy bike traffic.
Over: I have grown up with dogs, cats, and horses. I am very good with senior animals and making things accessible for them. I just worked with rescue horses and massage therapy for horses. I really love taking care of animals! I am available for boarding on the weekends and some days during the week. That depends on my freelance schedule as a dance and theatre teacher at the universities for the arts. If you ask me three days in advance, I will know my availability. I can adapt to the needs of your pet. I am in a flat on the 5th floor with a balcony. We can take a lift downstairs where there is a big grass area for walking and playing away from the street and with a leash for safety.
“Jighen and i met Vanessa and after 5mins i could see that my dog was already comfortable with her. That rarely happens couse he really needs time to get along with people. After the walk i showed her some exercises she needed to do with him couse he has issues with his hip and it went great, he was more patient with her then with me. I think her vibes make dogs feel at ease. Happy with her and definitely will book her again.”

Over: I grew up with a dog since I was little, ever since I was 8 years old I took care of it. After I moved out I sat multiple dogs of my friends and family! :) I just graduated from my Masters and I am now in between jobs. Therefore, I would love to help you take care for your dog or cat! Throughout the day a dog is your companion! 🐶 Taking them for a walk three times a day and playing around with them or going outside whenever they are seeking some love is something that cheers me up lots :).
Over: I have taken care of dogs of all kind no matter the breed. I used to volunteer at an animal shelter in the US for two years, where I walked dogs, big and small, who were described as energetic, temperamental, calm, loving, feisty, and all the adjectives you can think of! My family and I used to have two dogs whom my mom saved from illegal dog sellers. Both of them unfortunately were diagnosed with highly fatal illnesses and passed away not long after. So I have experiences caring for dogs with illnesses, feeding medicines, or certain things that need extra attention. I'm currently a Master's student so I am have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends. I have a flexible working schedule since I am now doing fieldwork for my thesis. I am especially free for pet boarding during the weekends where I love to chill at home or have tea with friends. I am currently in a student housing room. I have a balcony where the pet can get fresh air. Even though not as spacious, my room is clean, neat, and has plenty of space for small pets, cats especially, to roam around and parkour.

“On super short notice Megha and Ash took in our English Bulldog LouLou for a long weekend. They responded almost instantly, were extremely welcoming and finally made the stay for LouLou (and our family) super relaxed. She received all the attention she needed - and a lot more probably). Therefore we highly recommend this loving and warm couple - and thank them a lot. 🙏🏻”

“Georgina took amazing care of coco, sent daily updates and we felt very comfortable leaving Coco with her. Coco came back happy and well exercised. We will definitely rebook with Georgina ❣️”

“Jake and Eduardo are the best. Archer had a blast staying with them, and their constant updates and care towards Archer made our trip even more magical than it already was. I do have to say Archer now wants to go visit them on a daily basis :D”

“Carolina is so sweet; took such good care of my little guy, and gave regular and complete updates. Thank you so much also for the flexibility on pick-up and drop offs 🙏 Thank you so much, Carolina! X”

“Ziqing is an amazing pet sitter - communicative, easy to reach, and very caring. We left our dog with her for 4 days and she took great care of him. She followed the instructions that we had given and shared regular updates. Our dog got comfortable very quickly and was happy to spend time with Ziqing.”

“Coffee had a fantastic time at Ed's home. She came back so relaxed and happy! Ed is very communicative and you could see how much he loves looking after our furry friends :) Highly recommend him - and thank you again Ed!”

Over: My pug was one of my best friends, but unfortunately she's no longer with us and I miss having a furry friend around. I have lots of experience with the things that come with being a "smush face" breed like reverse sneezing etc. But am equally capable of taking care of other breeds as well, most recently I took care of a beagle and golden retriever. I enjoyed it so much that I thought I would make a profile here and see if I could do it more often. :) I typically work from home so I can keep your pooch company and vice versa throughout the day. I go to dance classes every Tuesday and Thursday evening, so if they're staying overnight I may leave them on their own for a few hours at a time. Similarly on the weekends, there are some days I'm mostly hanging at home and others where I might be out for short periods of time :) I don't have any pets of my own so my full attention will be on taking care of yours when they are with me :)

“Lada is the best dog sitter in Amsterdam! She agreed to watch my dog less than 12 hours in advance, and then agreed to meet me at the train station instead of me dropping off the dog at her place, which shows how kind and thoughtful and helpful she is!!! The weekend that my dog spent at her place was amazing too. I got updates 5+ times per week, with pictures of my dog, my dog was walked for multiple hours a day, she was allowed everywhere in the house; and Lada was veryyyy attentive to her needs and always checked in with me on what she could do extra. She even invited me for tea after the dog stay. I genuinely couldn’t recommend her more, i’d trust her to watch my dog anytime!”

“Harvey did a great job taking care of our dog during our trip. He was in contact daily and sent loads of cute pictures. On top of it all our home was spotless when we returned. Thank you Harvey!”

“Roman and Nicole were awesome sitters of our Pup - Bobby. Great communication, the right balance of updates & clearly skilled with dogs from what we observed with the short time with them. Thank you both!”

“Maggie always loves visiting Marlies! Plenty of time for relaxing as well as great adventures and trips! Couldn’t recommend Marlies more highly. Your dog will be in great and loving hands with her.”

“I highly recommend Azize as a dog sitter; she took amazing care of Dora and treated her like family! Throughout the entire stay, Azize kept me fully updated with regular messages and lovely updates. I could see that Dora felt incredibly comfortable, perfectly fed, and deeply loved with her. Azize organized great walks and fun playtime, which perfectly helped Dora forget that she was away from home. Dora came back happy, well-rested, and wonderfully showered with affection – we will definitely choose Azize again!”

“Tripti did an awesome job with our young Labrador, Fudge. She's very loving and caring and it was clear Fudge felt completely at home with her. She kept us up to date with many photos and videos. Would definitely recommend her!”
