Over: I've taken care of rabbits, turtles, guinnea pigs, goats, cats, dogs, and birds, chickens, and I enjoy the time I get to spend with them. Unfortunately, due to moving, residency permissions, and a few other reasons, I am currently not a caregiver to any pets. Over: I am a 30 year old Dutch guy currently back in his motherland. I did a housesit through Rover and another platform in Montréal, Canada in January 2019. I want to get back into it now that I have a lovely home in Amsterdam (May 2020). Before that I lived in the subarctic town of Churchill in Manitoba. Dogs have always had a special place in my heart, especially growing up with a labrador. Working with them in Churchill and before that in Canmore, Alberta gives a great feeling. Whatever it is your dog needs, is what I will bring to them. Love, walks, exercise, water, food or potty breaks. You name it, I give it. So I worked with 31 huskies in the north. Before that I lived in the Canadian Rockies, in Canmore, and worked with 200 sled dogs! In the past I have taken care of dogs of some of my friends all over the world. I did housesits in the Netherlands, Myanmar and Thailand. If you want to know more about these housesits, feel free to ask me anything about it. I am a freelancer and work as a spinning instructor and have some hospitality jobs in and around Amsterdam so I have lots of free time. Whatever you wish for your dog at home I will try and provide for. If staying at my place then there is a big living room, a small back yard but also lots of open and green space around my house for dog walks.

Over: Hi, my name is Michela, nice to meet you! I am half Italian and half Peruvian, 26 years old and I grew up with my two Yorkshire Terrier: Phoebe (mother) and Emy (daughter). When I was a child my family used to kidding saying that I was Phoebe's daughter too (lol) and she loved bite my pants when I was doing something wrong. She was my first loved one and I couldn't imagine my life without a pet by my side. I think is pretty obvious why I am a pet lover and I find really weird people who are not. Animals have feelings just like us human beings and is something unique when you create a connection with them. They are pure unconditional love. Currently in my house in Italy there are my ladies: Camilla, almost 14 (mixed breed dog) and the kittens Marilù and Mia. I also spent 2 years of my life with Bianca (Argentine Dogo) when she was just a puppy and learned a lot during that period about this types of dog, I totally fell in love with them! I NEVER BOUGHT a pet and never will! PLEASE ADOPT. I also worked with my boyfriend with exotic pets. I live in a sailboat in Amsterdam and for the moment I can't handle to care for a pet and this makes me very sad, for this reason I would like to enjoy spending time with yours! I am available all day and all week. Safety is rule number one! No worries, I'll never let happen something to your best friend. Walking in a park is rule number two! Nature is the best environment for your pet and actually for all of us.

Over: What sets me apart from other professionals is the longing I feel for my pets. I recently moved to Amsterdam and I still haven't been able to bring my pets, I miss them a lot and I found in Rover a way to keep in touch with dogs and cats and also to finance my pets' coming to the Netherlands. I've had pets my whole life, I love dogs and cats equally, I'm very careful, organized and responsible. I will take care of your animal as if it were my own I babysit casually, so I have the flexibility to follow your pet's routine whenever necessary. I like taking walks outdoors and I am available to stay at your house if necessary. I like to think that animals are like little children, I always offer a lot of love (I love sleeping with them in bed and sharing my sofa) and patience, respecting the animal's time, its individuality and personality and being firm when necessary. I am very clean and organized, I always prioritize following a routine, giving the animal predictability and avoiding unnecessary stress.

There's always been a pet (or pets) in my home and in my life until my last dog passed away and I moved to the Netherlands for my studies. I miss animals dearly, so taking care of yours will be a pleasure. I have experience with cats, dogs, rodents (and can probably figure out fish); both long- and short-term. I used to volunteer at an animal shelter back in Poland (Ciapkowo) where I went through training. I can deal with very difficult dogs (stubborn, running away, aggressive towards other dogs or people). My own, late husky that I adopted from that shelter was most likely traumatized and it took years for her to learn to not be scared of everybody. With the support of an animal behaviorist, she went from biting every hand that went a little too close and refusing to look at anybody talking to her, to doing tricks, walking with no leash and loving belly rubs. If you're looking for somebody dedicated, with experience, able to take care of pets of any size and even the most challenging characters, don't hesitate to reach out to me. I have a lot of free time and the time I need for work is mostly spent in my apartment, where an animal companion would fit right in. July-September I have even less to do, with no university during the summer break. I do my best to adapt to every animal's and owner's needs. I can deal with annoying cats, stubborn dogs and violent hamsters. I can give medicine orally, change bandages and do training. In my apartment I don't have any pets and I live with my partner who loves animals too. It's not the biggest place, but there's more than enough space for all of us.
