Over: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family had three dogs over the years, and I looked after each one from puppy all the way to senior age, including all the extra care and patience that comes with an older dog. Most recently, I took care of a dog that needed daily medicine and treatment for a ripped paw pad, so I'm comfortable with health routines too, not just walks. I've also worked as a dog walker and sitter, and whether it's your dog or my own, I treat them all the same way: like family. As a freelancer, I mostly work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day. That means I can fit in walks, feedings, or check-ins at times that actually work for your schedule, not just early mornings or evenings. It also means I'm not rushing between appointments, so your dog or cat gets my full attention while I'm there. When pets stay with me, they have plenty of room to settle in. My apartment has a big, spacious living room and kitchen area, and I usually set up a cozy corner just for them so they always have a safe spot to retreat to, while still being free to roam and explore the rest of the apartment. I let them explore at their own pace and approach me when they're ready, rather than the other way around. I might try to make contact with a treat here and there, but I never force it if they're not comfortable yet. For walks, I'm lucky to live close to three parks, so there's always a good spot nearby to stretch their legs.

Over: I've been around dogs my whole life — my family's first was a Jack Russell Terrier, followed by two Bichons, and my sister has two Bichons of her own. Dogs have always been part of my world, so I'm completely at ease minding them and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. This May, my partner and I adopted Nori, our gorgeous Italian Greyhound. Raising him has sharpened my hands-on ownership skills. Everything from house-training to managing his big personality in a small body. He's playful, energetic, and always up for making a new friend, so if your dog enjoys company, he'll be a great buddy for the stay. Italian Greyhounds are famously "Velcro dogs," so I'm well used to giving a dog my full attention throughout the day. Mornings start with a walk, often down to Sarphatipark, followed by regular breaks throughout the day for toilet breaks, play, and outdoor time on my rooftop terrace. Evenings bring a longer walk or wind-down together. With my own Italian Greyhound, Nori, I've learned that frequent shorter outings work better than one long walk. Especially for high-energy or clingy breeds. Your dog won't be left alone for long stretches; consistent attention is just part of how my days already run. I follow each dog's normal routine - feeding, walks, meds, wherever we are. At home, they join Nori and me around the flat. Never left alone for long. I also live with my partner Abbie who's just a trustworthy and similar lover of dogs so there will always be 4 eyes on your pet :)

“We waren best gespannen om ons hondje Blizzard voor het eerst bij een onbekende achter te laten, maar vanaf het eerste contact met Shaima hadden we meteen een goed gevoel. Ze was ontzettend warm en liefdevol, en haar ervaring met honden straalde er vanaf. Dat stelde ons enorm gerust. Tijdens het verblijf hield Shaima ons dagelijks op de hoogte met lieve berichtjes, updates en leuke foto’s. Ze nam echt de tijd om ons mee te nemen in hoe het met Blizzard ging, wat we als heel prettig hebben ervaren. Ze stelde gerust vragen wanneer dat nodig was, wat haar zorgzaamheid en betrokkenheid alleen maar bevestigde. Wat we ook enorm waardeerden: Shaima merkte dat Blizzard soms wat vaker naar buiten moest omdat hij het niet altijd even goed kon ophouden. Ze heeft zich daar meteen op aangepast en is meerdere keren korte wandelmomentjes met hem gegaan. Zo lief, ze keek echt naar wat hij nodig had. En het allerbelangrijkste: Blizzard had het zó naar zijn zin, dat we bij het ophalen bijna het gevoel kregen dat hij liever nog even bij Shaima bleef. Op de foto’s en video’s zagen we ook hoe blij en ontspannen hij was, en hoe liefdevol zij met hem omging. Wij komen zéker terug bij Shaima. Het was voor ons (en voor Blizzard!) echt een ontzettend fijne en warme ervaring. We raden haar met alle vertrouwen aan!”

Since moving to Amsterdam, I’ve regularly pet sat for friends here, everything from quick drop-in visits to longer stays of up to 15 days. I live in a big apartment with my partner, who also loves pets, so we’d be two people looking after yours and it would rarely be alone. We’re close to Erasmuspark, great for walks and playtime, and our place has a big balcony too. I work from home most of the time and only go to the office once a week, so I’m around most days. Happy to take dogs on long walks, or just spend lots of time at home if it’s a cat! Sleeping in the bedroom with me is totally fine, or the living room if your pet prefers sleeping on its own. We currently don’t have any pets of our own. I can do both during the week and weekends. Right now I work from home 4 days a week and I go to the office once a week. I live solo in a studio with a fenced yard which allows for your pup/s to explore outside and for quick potty breaks. Your pup/s will have the space to themselves - I don't own other animals.

Over: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family had three dogs over the years, and I looked after each one from puppy all the way to senior age, including all the extra care and patience that comes with an older dog. Most recently, I took care of a dog that needed daily medicine and treatment for a ripped paw pad, so I'm comfortable with health routines too, not just walks. I've also worked as a dog walker and sitter, and whether it's your dog or my own, I treat them all the same way: like family. As a freelancer, I mostly work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day. That means I can fit in walks, feedings, or check-ins at times that actually work for your schedule, not just early mornings or evenings. It also means I'm not rushing between appointments, so your dog or cat gets my full attention while I'm there. When pets stay with me, they have plenty of room to settle in. My apartment has a big, spacious living room and kitchen area, and I usually set up a cozy corner just for them so they always have a safe spot to retreat to, while still being free to roam and explore the rest of the apartment. I let them explore at their own pace and approach me when they're ready, rather than the other way around. I might try to make contact with a treat here and there, but I never force it if they're not comfortable yet. For walks, I'm lucky to live close to three parks, so there's always a good spot nearby to stretch their legs.

Tripti informed us daily with several video’s and photos so we could see how Nitro was doing. Nitro was cuttled lots and was spoiled with homemade food, lovely walks and snacks. “We waren best gespannen om ons hondje Blizzard voor het eerst bij een onbekende achter te laten, maar vanaf het eerste contact met Shaima hadden we meteen een goed gevoel. Ze was ontzettend warm en liefdevol, en haar ervaring met honden straalde er vanaf. Dat stelde ons enorm gerust. Tijdens het verblijf hield Shaima ons dagelijks op de hoogte met lieve berichtjes, updates en leuke foto’s. Ze nam echt de tijd om ons mee te nemen in hoe het met Blizzard ging, wat we als heel prettig hebben ervaren. Ze stelde gerust vragen wanneer dat nodig was, wat haar zorgzaamheid en betrokkenheid alleen maar bevestigde. Wat we ook enorm waardeerden: Shaima merkte dat Blizzard soms wat vaker naar buiten moest omdat hij het niet altijd even goed kon ophouden. Ze heeft zich daar meteen op aangepast en is meerdere keren korte wandelmomentjes met hem gegaan. Zo lief, ze keek echt naar wat hij nodig had. En het allerbelangrijkste: Blizzard had het zó naar zijn zin, dat we bij het ophalen bijna het gevoel kregen dat hij liever nog even bij Shaima bleef. Op de foto’s en video’s zagen we ook hoe blij en ontspannen hij was, en hoe liefdevol zij met hem omging. Wij komen zéker terug bij Shaima. Het was voor ons (en voor Blizzard!) echt een ontzettend fijne en warme ervaring. We raden haar met alle vertrouwen aan!”

Over: Hoi! Ik ben Suria en ik ben een rustige, betrouwbare en zorgzame dierenliefhebber. Dieren zijn altijd onderdeel van mijn leven geweest. Binnen mijn familie hebben we een Labrador Retriever waar ik veel mee omga en voor zorg. Daarnaast heb ik zelf 15 jaar een agapornis gehad en heeft mijn oma twee katten. Ik ben daardoor gewend aan verschillende soorten dieren en vind het leuk om ieder dier op zijn eigen manier aandacht en verzorging te geven. Ik bied graag verschillende vormen van dierenoppas aan, zoals honden uitlaten, huisbezoeken, oppassen bij jou thuis en logeren. Tijdens het oppassen vind ik het belangrijk dat je huisdier zich veilig, ontspannen en op zijn gemak voelt. Ik houd me graag aan de vertrouwde routine van jouw dier, bijvoorbeeld met eten, wandelen, spelen, aandacht en rustmomenten. Ik begrijp dat ieder huisdier anders is. Daarom bespreek ik vooraf graag wat jouw dier gewend is, wat hij of zij prettig vindt en waar ik rekening mee moet houden. Ik vind het belangrijk om rustig met dieren om te gaan en hun grenzen te respecteren. Een kennismaking vooraf vind ik prettig, zodat we kunnen kijken of er een goede klik is en jij met een gerust gevoel je huisdier aan mij kunt toevertrouwen. Ik kijk ernaar uit om kennis te maken met jou en je huisdier! 🐶🐱🐦 Ik werk parttime en remote en heb daardoor voldoende tijd om voor katten te zorgen. Ik ben flexibel beschikbaar op werkdagen en in het weekend. Ik plan mijn bezoeken graag in overleg en houd rekening met de vaste routine van jouw kat. Ik zorg graag voor katten bij hun eigen thuis, zodat ze in hun vertrouwde omgeving kunnen blijven. Ik geef eten en vers water, maak de kattenbak schoon en neem de tijd om te spelen, aandacht te geven of gewoon rustig gezelschap te houden. Ik volg graag de instructies en gewoontes van het baasje.

“Amanda and her partner Marinna are fantastic. They took such great care of Charlie while we were away for 5 nights. They kept us updated with photos, and we could see that Charlie felt really comfortable with them. Charlie is reactive toward intact male dogs which can sometimes worry us when he is with new sitters. However, Amanda and Marinna assured us that they are familiar with reactivity, and they indeed seemed to manage just fine. Over: I’ve had dogs since I was young and have years of hands-on experience caring for them. I currently have a 30 kg Goldendoodle, Willow, whom I’ve spent the past two years intensively training as my service dog. Through this, I’ve gained lots of experience with obedience, consistency, positive reinforcement, routines, and understanding dog behavior. I’m also very comfortable with larger, energetic dogs and providing plenty of exercise, structure, and, of course, cuddles! 🐾 I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and am around throughout most of the day. Dogs in my care get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and cuddles. I normally take Willow on three longer walks and two shorter walks each day, so your dog can easily join our routine. I’m also happy to adjust my schedule to your dog’s usual walking, feeding, and sleeping routine so they feel as comfortable and at home as possible. 🐾 Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always make sure any dog staying with us feels comfortable around her. Since I work from home, dogs are rarely left alone and get plenty of supervision and attention throughout the day. Dogs are treated like part of the family in our home, they’re welcome on the furniture (clean paws permitting!) and can sleep in my bedroom. I follow each owner’s routines and rules closely and will always take the time to help your dog feel safe, relaxed, and at home. And obviously will send pictures throughout the day of your pup; as a dog owner, that’s what I’d want as well!
