Over: Since I was a child, dogs have always been a part of my life. But it wasn’t until I started university and moved out on my own that I took on the full responsibility of caring for a dog by myself. I adopted a Schnauzer who became my companion for 9 wonderful years. I trained her to sleep indoors and she truly became part of my little home. Four years later, a Newfoundland joined our family. She still lives in Mexico with my parents, as she is now a senior dog and needed to stay in a familiar, calm environment. These two dogs have been the most important in my life—they taught me how to truly care for and love these amazing little beings. So yes, this is my biggest experience caring for dogs—it's been a lifelong journey. I recently moved to Amsterdam to be with the love of my life—my boyfriend. I still work remotely for my business in Mexico, where I run a handmade hat brand. Because of the time difference, most of my work happens later in the day, which leaves my mornings free. While looking for something meaningful and fun to do with that time, I came across Rover. It feels like the perfect way to spend my mornings doing something I truly enjoy—being around dogs! It also helps me stay connected to the idea of having a pet here in Amsterdam one day, which I would really love. It’s simple—I live in an apartment that’s safe and secure, with no risks or open areas where a dog could get out. I always keep the space closed and pet-friendly. Plus, I’d love taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood. It’s a lovely area and I truly enjoy getting outside with them.

Over: I’m Olga, a pet lover who moved 2 years ago to Amsterdam with my partner. While my own cat is back home with my mom (he is a part of the family too!), I've become temporary hosts for my friends’ pets here. I’ve had the pleasure of welcoming a French bulldog and my boyfriend’s college cat into our home on a few occasions.

 I miss having a fluffy friend around all the time! So, spending time with your dogs would be an absolute delight for both me and your furry pals. Rest assured, I’ll shower your beloved companions with all the love and attention they deserve during our time together.
 

🐾 Services:

 • 🐕 Dog walking: I only walk dogs from one household at a time and prefer long walks of ~45-1hour. Near my apartment, there’s a small area for off-leash play (near the Artis), and we can also visit Oosterpark or other nearby parks for a change of scenery.
 • 🏡 Home visits: I’ll drop by to feed your pet (dogs/cats/maybe someone else ☺️), play with them, and spend some quality time (around 30 mins) ensuring they’re happy and content while you’re away.
 • 🛏️ Stay in your apartment with your pet: my arrival and departure times fall within a 24-hour timeframe. For example, if my arrival is at 10 am, the departure should be at 10 am on the last day. Additional time (later pick-up) can be booked as an additional day. 
•🐱Cat sitting: If your cat has access to the street, such as living in a building with a staircase that leads directly outside, I can only accept it if the cat is wearing a collar with an AirTag.

 📞 Communication & Customization:
I know how important it is to stay connected with your pet while you’re away. I’ll provide regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see how your furry friend is doing and feel reassured. To make sure your pet gets the most out of our time together, it would be great if you could tell me how they like to play and what their favorite toy is. I also want to know about any allergies they might have and the times they’re used to going for walks. This way, I can keep their routine consistent and ensure they’re happy and comfortable.

 🌱 In addition to taking care of your pets, I’m happy to water your plants, collect your mail, and perform other small tasks to keep your home in order during your absence.

Weekdays except at lunchtime (from 12 to 3pm I'm usually busy having my job interviews). Weekend also, but not always. I don’t host pets in my home, but when caring for pets in my client’s home, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. — I never let pets off the leash during walks, — I’m comfortable medication if needed. I love playing and spending quality time with them, and I always follow any specific schedule or instructions provided by the owner. I also keep the home secure and stay in touch with regular updates to ensure peace of mind.

Over: I’ve taken care of my horse for 8 years when I used to horseback ride. I also take care of my brother’s dog and of my cat. I work from home most days, so I have enough freedom and flexibility to be able to go for multiple walks and take care of a pet. My fur baby is a house cat so she is fully taken care of in the house. Has multiple spots where she can lay down and has her toys. As for bigger pets such as dogs I live 2min from Vondelpark so we could go for long walks in and around the park.

Over: As a kid I was surrounded by cats and also by dogs when I grew up! I will take care of your pet like it’s my own. I have a Bernese mountain dog who is under 1 year old and together our dogs will have a lot of fun, play and walks! I work from home, so I’m almost always with your pet and with my dog. I would usually take my dog for 3-4 walks of 30 minutes in the day, one short walk in the morning when we wake up and before going to bed, and we have a play session or longer walk in the evening before or after dinner. I take care of your dog like my own. I know that it can be stressful to leave your pet to someone else. Therefore I will follow your indications (home rules, cage, food, education, schedule…). I can send you pictures during the day. Of course I’ll take allergies, fears or need of space from your dog into consideration.
