Mijn planning is momenteel erg flexibel.
Over: Hi, I'm Jennifer! I sit for cats and dogs, including the ones who need a bit more patience. I grew up in Taipei with rescue dogs. My parents took in strays, so there were always dogs at home to feed, walk and take to the vet. Later I adopted a corgi with a disability who needed a lot of care and help getting around. He passed away, and caring for him taught me most of what I know. I now live with two cats I took in off the street. I'm comfortable with medication, mobility issues, older pets, and cats who spend the first day under the sofa. I'm equally happy with a dog who just wants long walks and a nap. I'm always happy to do a free meet and greet first so you can see how your pet reacts before booking anything. I work freelance remotely from my personal computer, which gives me great flexibility to accommodate various schedules. Because I’m mostly based at home, I can seamlessly follow your cat’s routine and be right there to provide company, attention, or medication whenever they need it. I will take the utmost care to follow your pet's exact routines and respect the privacy of your home. The safety, comfort, and well-being of your pet will always be my absolute top priority.

Over: Two Dalmatians, a chihuahua, a Pomeranian and three mutts were my siblings growing up. I took care of them through every vet visit, may it be grooming days, sick days, or the few times they’ve given birth to puppies! I currently work part time so I am mostly at home and can do check-ins or walks, this is updated on my Rover calendar. I stay alert on walks and during home-sitting with pets. Care instructions for your little one will be carefully followed and depending on your preference, I can send updates throughout the sitting.

Over: I have always lived and grown up with dogs, from big to small. My last dog Dexter, was a sheppard lab, who lived a lovely life and travelled all over Canada with me. Since moving to Amsterdam I have helped my friends with raising their new pups/sitting them. I am also an avid walker and usually go two or three times a week on a 7km walk through Diemen, so would love to have a little companion with me next time! My morning route is usually to wake up and read my book for an hour with a cup of coffee, and then go on a walk through Diemen to get a workout in/fresh air. My work days start at noon from Wednesday to Saturday, so on Monday and Tuesday I have plenty of free time. I make it a rule to never leave my house untidy, or with dishes in the sink/food left out/garbage full, as it is a personal pet peeve to come home to a messy house. Cleanliness is very important to me and especially if having a dog in the house I want to make sure they don't have access to anything that can harm them/food that they shouldn't be eating.
Over: Hi! I’m Hare, a passionate animal lover with years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, so I always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable and loved. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, feeding, giving medication if needed, or simply keeping your pet company, I provide attentive and reliable care. I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout every visit. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always respect their individual needs, routines and boundaries. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel completely at ease while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I have a flexible schedule and provide loving, reliable care throughout the week. I always follow your pet’s routine and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Your pet’s safety comes first. I follow all care instructions carefully and provide a calm, clean, and loving environment. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages.

Over: I have seen and cared for dogs since I was little since my father is a veterinarian. I love spending time with them, bathing them, caring for them, playing with them, and spending time with them. I currently have enough time to walk and play with the dogs. I am very available in case you need my help, do not hesitate to contact me. I also like to observe the games and needs of each dog so I can make them feel comfortable and happy in their environment with me.

Over: Great love for animals and excited to walk and care for them. I have lived with a cat for many years but not anymore so I want some pets in my life again. I have mostly walked dogs of friends. I like to run so if your dog also likes that they can join me :) Would love to meet you! Momentarily I am looking for a job so have a lot of spare time to walk a dog or feed a cat. I will work part time and am looking for some pets to spend some time outside with. I don’t have any pets at home but have some roommates. I live in a shared flat with a big living room and an open garden. A dog or cat is very welcome to hang out here.

Over: I am a 26-year-old Dutch guy with a great passion for dogs. Dogs have played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and have had four in total, two of which still live with my parents. Because of this, I have gained a lot of experience with different personalities, including more challenging and high-energy dogs. As a result, I know how to interact with dogs in a calm, clear, and confident way. I am also very good at reading canine communication, such as body language, posture, and behavior, which allows me to prevent escalation and step in when necessary. At the moment, I am exploring what I want to do in the future, and it is clear to me that it will involve dogs in some way, such as training or guidance. In the meantime, I have the time and flexibility to spend a lot of time with dogs, and there is honestly nothing I enjoy more. Being a dog sitter is therefore the perfect way for me to do something I genuinely love while also gaining even more experience and getting to know different dogs. To me, dogs are much more than just pets. I truly enjoy spending time with them and giving them the attention they deserve. I personally love going on walks, so taking a dog along is not only enjoyable company for me, but also a great balance where both the dog and I benefit from spending time outdoors. I find it very important that a dog feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which is why I always pay close attention to the individual character and needs of each dog. I actually enjoy working with more challenging or highly sensitive dogs as well. I stay calm, provide clear structure, and take the time to build trust so the dog knows what to expect. During walks, I pay close attention to the surroundings, safety, and the dog’s own signals. Owners can expect me to be responsible, reliable, and genuinely involved, and to treat their dog with patience, attention, and care. Clear communication is also very important to me, so owners always know how things are going. I read a dog’s emotional state by paying attention to the eyes, posture, energy level, and how the dog positions itself around other dogs. I also look for signs of confidence, stress, or dominance during interactions, such as the way a dog approaches, avoids, or lies down in social situations. This allows me to adapt my approach so that every dog feels safe and understood. During walks, I enjoy visiting natural environments such as parks or green areas where the dog can relax, explore, and comfortably do its business. I focus on calm, structured walks where the dog receives both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident handling dogs on a leash and can maintain good control in different situations. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I know how to apply reliable recall and how to keep the dog safe and engaged. I am also experienced in walking two dogs at the same time, so that is absolutely no problem for me. For a regular walk, you can expect me to walk with the dog for at least 40 minutes. Something else that may be reassuring for owners to know is that I am currently looking into part-time (16-hour) remote work that can be done fully independently. This means I am not tied to an office or stuck in long meetings, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the dog and the house. I am definitely not someone who is busy working all day and only quickly takes the dog out in between tasks — caring for the dog is genuinely my main priority. I may occasionally handle some light administrative work during the day, but aside from that, I am mainly present, flexible, and attentive. Because of this, I can keep a close eye on both the dog and the home, and owners can trust that everything will be calm, safe, and well taken care of. What I am currently in between jobs and taking the time to explore what I want to do long-term. One thing that is very clear to me is that I want my future to involve dogs in some way, whether that becomes dog training, behavioral guidance, or something similar. I am still figuring out exactly how I want to shape that path, but I think it is great that I can already gain valuable hands-on experience by caring for and spending time with different dogs through dog sitting and walking. At the moment, I have a flexible schedule and am mainly available during weekdays from late morning until the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, Rover does not offer an exact option for this, but in practice I am generally available between 10 AM and 5 PM to look after your dog at home or take your dog out for walks. Since I personally love walking as well, owners can expect me to take dogs on long, enjoyable walks with plenty of attention and care. I am also exploring the possibility of starting a part-time remote job later this summer for around 16 hours per week. The type of work I am looking at would be fully home-based, flexible, and low-pressure, without meetings or appointments that would require me to leave the house. Because of that, I would still have more than enough time, attention, and flexibility to properly care for dogs throughout the day. The dog’s wellbeing, attention, and routine would always remain my main priority while I am looking after them. Weekends can be a bit more difficult for me, although I may still be available depending on the situation, so you are always welcome to send me a message to check availability I currently live in an apartment complex and do not have a private garden, which means fulltime dog boarding at my home can be a bit more limited depending on the dog and the situation. However, if your dog only needs to stay somewhere for a few hours for example, to bridge part of the day rather than staying an entire day or overnight that is absolutely possible at my place. My apartment is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a dog for shorter periods of time. I already do this regularly with one of my parents’ dogs to help them out from time to time, so I am experienced in having dogs stay with me in a calm and comfortable environment. Of course, this is always coordinated properly, which means that if I am caring for your dog, there will not unexpectedly be another dog present unless discussed beforehand. I also genuinely enjoy being outdoors and spending active, quality time with dogs. With my own family dogs, I love doing simple things like playing with a tennis ball or a toy, practicing little tricks, going for walks, relaxing outside together, cuddling, and giving them attention. For me, it is really the small moments and connection with a dog that make it enjoyable, and spending time with dogs genuinely gives me a lot of energy and happiness. One important thing to mention is that Rover sometimes requires me to select fixed availability options that do not fully reflect how flexible I actually am. Because of that, it is possible that I may not always appear in certain search results. In reality, my availability is often much more flexible and depends a bit on the specific day and situation. So please feel free to send me a message, even if my profile settings seem limited I am usually more flexible than the Rover options may suggest.

Over: I’ve been taking care of dogs for over 8 years and absolutely love being around animals. I’m a caring, very patient and responsible person who makes sure every pet feels safe comfortable and loved. I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime and giving your pet plenty of attention. I do understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, and i will always treat them with the same care i would give my own pet. I also do speak dutch!! I currently have a part-time job, but I have a flexible schedule and can fit pet care around my work. I enjoy spending time with dogs, going for walks and making sure they get the attention and care they need. I’m happy to work around each pet’s individual routine and needs. I have a secure, enclosed garden where pets can safely spend time outside. I also have a friendly dog of my own, Beertje, who is 8 years old. I always make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable and welcome in my home. I follow the owner’s instructions and take the time to understand each pet’s personality, routine and needs.
Over: I grew up with dogs at home since I was a child 👧 I also learned how to take care of animals in shelters during several wonderful months! 🥰 Originally from France, I now live in Amsterdam, at the foot of Oosterpark 🏞️, a paradise for our four-legged friends! I am PhD student from the University of Amsterdam, mainly working from home! I use to take walk several times a day, and having cosy research time from my couch and kitchen table! And ideal situation for dogsitting 🌱🌻I am sometimes out of the house to attend a class or a meeting--or simply for groceries, let me know if your dog can spend few hours alone :)! Attention, playtime, and the frequency of walks are very important to me! I want to ensure the animal's well-being, depending on their needs (communication with their owner is super important to be!) Count on me for constant updates and pictures everyday 🙏
Over: I treat every pet like my own, with patience, playfulness, and responsibility, whether it’s helping sitting a young puppy or providing gentle, attentive care for senior pets. I’m reliable, communicative, and always make sure both pets and owners feel safe, comfortable, and well-informed. I'm currenly flexible with any time from 9 am to 8 pm during weekdays until August 23 in Maastricht area. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I enjoy staying active, being outdoors, and spending time with animals. In a pet owner's home, I follow their routines closely to keep pets comfortable and stress-free, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I also keep the space tidy, send regular updates, and make sure their pet feels safe, loved, and relaxed while they're away.
Over: Hi! My name is Jorge, and I’ve spent years surrounded by animals who have made my life so much happier. I have Otto, my slightly mischievous orange cat, who has been part of my life for 5 years. 🐱 We rescued him from a small village in Spain where he had been abandoned and had almost lost an eye. With patience, love, and quite a few eye drops and medications (which he didn’t enjoy at all!), he made a full recovery. He now lives happily with my family in Spain. I’ve also cared for Patín, my aunt’s senior cat, who I loved spending quiet time with, especially sitting together in the sun while he purred non-stop. ☀️ In addition, I’ve spent the past 4 years helping care for Junior, my partner’s family dog 🐶. We’ve taken care of his daily needs, including regular walks (up to three times a day), and I’ve also handled situations requiring extra care, such as paw issues, digestive problems, and eye treatments. This has given me hands-on experience with both routine care and more specific needs. Currently, I live in Amsterdam and do not have any pets at home, which means I can fully adapt to your pet’s needs, whether that’s caring for cats or dogs, either in your home or mine. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet as if they were their own. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, or boarding, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. ❤️ I’m really looking forward to meeting your furry companion! I’m currently based in Amsterdam and actively looking for a job as a designer, which means I have full availability at the moment and can easily adapt my schedule to your pet’s needs. Once I start working, I’ll still be available on weekends (Friday to Sunday) and during weekday evenings. I live in a very green area near the Amstel River, which is perfect for walks and outdoor time. I enjoy staying active (going for walks, running, or cycling) but I also appreciate quieter moments at home, like watching a movie, cooking, or reading. Because of this balance, I can easily adapt to different pets and personalities, whether they’re energetic and playful or calm and more independent. ☺️ I always adapt my care to each pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. In my client’s home, I respect the pet’s usual environment and routine as much as possible, following feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions. I also make sure they get attention, playtime, and companionship so they don’t feel stressed while their owner is away. In my home, I provide a calm, safe, and clean environment. Since I currently don’t have pets at home, I can fully focus on your pet and adapt the space to their needs. I make sure they get enough exercise, mental stimulation, and rest, depending on their personality. I’m also comfortable providing basic care such as administering medication, cleaning litter boxes, and handling feeding routines. I always keep owners updated with messages and photos, so they feel reassured while they’re away.
Over: Hej! I'm Maura. I'm a longtime pet lover and part-time pet caretaker. I've recently relocated to Amsterdam Noord from the USA and looking to grow my care community. I'd be happy to lend a hand to local pet owners with daily walks, drop-ins, overnight care and of course lots of cuddles :) I'm a remote graphic designer which allows for me to work at home. I have full-time availability for pet caretaking which includes morning-evening, weekends and holiday care. I live solo in a studio with a fenced yard which allows for your pup/s to explore outside and for quick potty breaks. Your pup/s will have the space to themselves - I don't own other animals.
Over: I've been sorrounded by dogs since I was 10, one little dog and the other one big. I've also volunteer in the shelter of barcelona for more than 6 years, I am available in the mornings and afternoons. I am also available at weekends and in the evenings, as often as necessary. I adapt to the needs of the carer. I adapt to the pet's environment in the comfort of your home. Unfortunately I cannot bring pets to my flat but I am available to come to your accommodation.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. A few years later, I am now living in Amsterdam, working full-time with dogs at a fantastic farm facility outside of the city, and finishing up my Master's degree. Do I sound like the right fit for you and your dog? Drop me a message and we can arrange an initial meeting to get to know each other better! (Multiple positive references available upon request). I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities, whether looking after a pet in my home or yours.
Over: I’m a true pet lover and consider pet care very seriously. I have 9 years experience of caring for my own cat, 3 years of volunteering experience with shelter and rescue dogs and cats in Vilnius, Lithuania 🇱🇹, and 3 years of pet sitting experience in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I speak fluent English 🇺🇸, Lithuanian 🇱🇹, and some Dutch 🇳🇱 I offer daily drop-in visits at your home (up to 1 hour) and dog walks (up to 30 min) each week, 7 days a week 🗓️ During the drop-in visits, I can feed, brush, trim nails, clean the cage/litter box, walk, and play games with your pet 🎾 During dog walks, I can take your dog to the nearby outdoor area for games and potty breaks 🦴 I provide both leashed and unleashed walking and always responsibly monitor the dog’s behavior and reaction to the surrounding environment 🐕

Ingrid was great! We had a nice meet and greet session followed by a walk. Our shepherd Kaiser is a big boy and he can sometimes be reactive, so we require someone who is calm and firm with him. Ingrid calm and patient with him in our initial meeting, and was able to confidently follow our handling guidelines with him and he responded very well to her. Very happy with how it's going, and we're looking forward to seeing how they continue to bond!

Sisi was incredibly helpful during a week when our other help was abroad and we really needed extra support. From the very first walk, our pomeranian Loki immediately became friends with her, which gave us so much peace of mind. Communication was easy, everything went smoothly, and it was clear that Loki felt comfortable and happy in her care. We’re very grateful for her help and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind dog walker.

Christina really helped us out during my weekend away! From the moment she stepped in Lanka was very chill around Christina because of her calm energy! Everything went very smooth and Lanka seemed to enjoy the walks a lot. I would definitely recommend Christina to take care of your pet ;)
