I've had a french bulldog (with 1 eye) for 10 years and grew up with cats as a kid. I've always petsitted throughout the years. In the beginning mostly through friend and family. Now professionally, and mostly in Berlin and Amsterdam. And I love animals and I also love nature. Experienced plant-, house- and animalsitter over here. I am from the Netherlands, but currently spending time in Berlin, hopping from sublets to animalsits. I love animals and am happy to spend time with them. I am a singer and freelancer, so I spend a great deal of the day at home and it is important for me to have a place with great WiFi. But offcourse during summer I also sometimes leave the house for a couple of hours so that should be okay with you. I am happy to send you pictures and video's during the sit! So you can stay connected in that way as well. Energy is loud to me, so I always say that animals talk! Even if it's without human words. I love cuddling them (if they want to), sing around them or leave them alone (if they want to ;p) I am a calm yet energetic, happy and steady person and I know how to improvise if needed. I do prefer easy animals. Meds I can put in their food if needed. Happy to follow your instructions.

Over: Hoi! Ik ben Myrthe en woon in Amsterdam. Dieren hebben altijd een bijzondere plek in mijn leven gehad. Ongeveer 8 jaar geleden heb ik de opleiding Dierverzorging afgerond, waarbij ik veel heb geleerd over diergedrag, verzorging en het welzijn van verschillende dieren. Hoewel ik inmiddels in het onderwijs werk en mijn dagelijkse werk niet meer met dieren te maken heeft, is mijn liefde voor dieren altijd gebleven. Juist omdat dieren nog steeds zo’n belangrijk deel van mijn leven zijn, lijkt het mij ontzettend leuk om via Pawshake weer meer tijd met dieren door te brengen. Ik mis het om met dieren bezig te zijn en wil mijn kennis, aandacht en zorg graag inzetten om anderen te helpen wanneer zij een betrouwbare oppas zoeken. Door mijn opleiding heb ik geleerd dat ieder dier een eigen karakter en eigen behoeften heeft. Ik vind het belangrijk om goed te kijken naar wat een dier nodig heeft en mijn aanpak daarop aan te passen. Een hond die graag actief bezig is, kan ik een fijne wandeling en aandacht bieden, terwijl ik bij een rustige of wat terughoudende kat juist de tijd neem om vertrouwen op te bouwen. Momenteel woon ik in een studentenhuis waar ik zelf helaas geen huisdier mag hebben. Daarom zou het voor mij extra waardevol zijn om op honden en katten van anderen te mogen passen. Of het nu gaat om wandelen, een huisbezoek, eten geven, spelen of gewoon gezellig gezelschap houden: ik doe dit met veel liefde en verantwoordelijkheid. Mijn werk in het onderwijs heeft mij daarnaast geleerd om geduldig, betrouwbaar en zorgzaam te zijn en goed te letten op wat een ander nodig heeft. Deze eigenschappen neem ik ook mee in de omgang met dieren. Ik vind goede communicatie met het baasje erg belangrijk en bespreek daarom graag vooraf de gewoontes en behoeften van jouw huisdier. Zo zorg ik ervoor dat jouw dier zich veilig en prettig voelt terwijl jij weg bent. Ik kijk ernaar uit om jou en je huisdier te leren kennen! Mijn beschikbaarheid hangt af van mijn werk in het onderwijs. Ik werk vier dagen per week en ben meestal rond 16:30 uur klaar. Op de dagen dat ik werk kan ik daarom vanaf het einde van de middag langskomen voor een bezoek, verzorging of een wandeling. Op maandag en woensdagavond heb ik vaste voetbaltraining, waardoor ik op deze momenten niet beschikbaar ben. Op vrijdag ben ik vaak vrij en heb ik meer ruimte voor langere bezoeken of meerdere momenten op een dag. In de weekenden ben ik flexibel en bespreek ik graag samen wat het beste past bij jou en jouw huisdier. Omdat ik in een studentenhuis woon waar huisdieren helaas niet zijn toegestaan, bied ik geen opvang bij mij thuis aan. Ik verzorg huisdieren daarom bij het baasje thuis, waar ze in hun eigen vertrouwde omgeving kunnen blijven. Ik vind dit juist een fijne manier van oppassen, omdat dieren vaak het meest ontspannen zijn op hun eigen plek. Ik zorg ervoor dat hun dagelijkse routine zoveel mogelijk hetzelfde blijft en geef ze de aandacht, verzorging en rust die ze nodig hebben.
