Over: Op mijn tiende kreeg ik mijn eerste hond, meteen een hele grote Bordeaux dog genaamd Diesel. Na 2 jaar kwam daar een nog grotere hond Hooch bij. Beide honden heb ik vele jaren met heel veel plezier verzorgd en van gehouden. Toen ik 10 jaar geleden op mijzelf ben gaan wonen in Amsterdam, ben ik begonnen met het fosteren van honden uit asielen in Spanje en Portugal. Angstige honden, honden van de straat, mishandelde honden en honden die nog nooit aan de riem hebben gelopen, jong, oud, ze zijn allemaal bij mij over de vloer geweest. Met ontzettend veel liefde heb ik dit jarenlang gedaan, totdat ik ontzettend verliefd werd op mijn laatste foster; Simba. Ik heb dan ook besloten hem te adopteren en ondertussen zijn we al weer 4 succesvolle jaren verder. Een aantal keer heb ik nog honden uit het asiel opgevangen samen met Simba, maar omdat ik af en toe naar het buitenland toe moet voor werk is opvang vinden voor 2 honden net te lastig. Ik heb ontzettend veel zin om een tweede hond over de vloer te hebben, Simba kan af en toe wel een maatje gebruiken! Ik heb een eigen zaak in het centrum van Amsterdam. Maar als ik van tevoren een oppas aanvraag/planning krijg hoef ik die dagen niet aanwezig te zijn in de winkel, er is dan personeel aanwezig. Wat je kan verwachten; •Opvang met jaren ervaring met verschillende rassen, persoonlijkheden en groottes •Een fijne, rustige en liefdevolle omgeving •Dagelijkse wandelingen, spelletjes, knuffels, en voor de hele slimme honden die niet vermoeid raken van wandelen, doen we denk-spelletjes. •Tweemaal daags een uitgebreide update en door de dag heen foto's en video's. Ik heb een hele vriendelijke podenco van 8 kilo. Hij is rustig en goed getraind en vindt spelen ook leuk. Helaas hebben wij geen tuin maar wel een groot balkon achter en heerlijke zoninval in de woonkamer. De oppashond mag op bed, op de bank, ik heb een huis met weinig dure spullen zodat er niks kapot kan gaan en de honden lekker hun gang kunnen gaan. Ik woon op een tweede verdieping dus de voordeur leidt niet meteen naar de straat. Let op: Voor dagopvang bij ons en/of korte verblijven gaat Simba naar mijn partner. Hij wordt al een dagje ouder en kan dan rustig zijn eigen gang gaan. Op deze manier hoeft er ook geen speciale kennismaking plaats te vinden tussen Simba en de oppashond voor de boeking.

“Francisca is a calm, reliable and lovely person. I was really nervous to leave my puppy alone for the first time, but having Francisca over to watch Dobby for an hour in between so he wouldn't be alone for an extensive amount of time was a lifesaver. Dobby felt visibly at ease with her. Francisca was perfectly on time for the visits, is easy to communicate with, and she even stayed longer than she had to, simply because she enjoyed spending time with Dobby. If I need someone to watch my puppy again, I'll definitely ask her.”

“We just moved to Amsterdam from the US and wanted to take a spontaneous trip to Paris - but we needed a cat sitter! We found Afonso on Rover and within 10 minutes he responded to our request. He came by that evening to pick up the keys and in the meantime met Rosie! He visited once a day for an hour each and sent us many pictures and messages. He also watched out for her health since she had been sick for a few days before. He knew how to be patient with Rosie as she is an anxious cat and successfully got her to warm up to him after the 2 visits! When we got back Rosie was in a great and playful mood!! We are thrilled to have found Afonso and will be using him many times in the future! 🐈‍⬛🐾”

Over: I have two dogs, one who is 13 years old and a younger one who is 4. I take care of them every day and truly see them as part of my family. My older dog has some hip problems, so I also have experience caring for senior dogs and helping them with their daily needs and mobility. A few years ago, she had a litter of puppies, and I took care of both her and the puppies every day. I was there during the delivery to support her and continued looking after the puppies until they were old enough to be adopted by loving families. Taking care of dogs has always been a big part of my life, so I am very comfortable around dogs of different ages and with different needs. I am currently doing an internship during the week, so I am mainly available on weekends. On weekdays, my availability may vary depending on my schedule, but I can sometimes be available in the evenings. I always make sure to organise my time carefully so that every pet gets the attention, walks and care they need. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and try to keep the pet’s normal routine as much as possible. I make sure they have fresh water, regular walks, playtime and plenty of attention. I am also comfortable caring for senior dogs or dogs that need a little extra help with mobility.

Over: I’ve been around animals my whole life and genuinely love caring for them! I grew up with five dogs and was actively involved in looking after them, from daily walks and feeding to playtime, cuddles, and general care :) I’ve had experience with both younger, energetic pets and older animals who need a little more patience, attention, and a slower pace! I’ve recently become a freelancer, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention they deserve. I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and longer stays, and can usually adapt to your pet’s normal routine. I always try to keep pets as comfortable as possible by following their usual routine and respecting their personality and boundaries. I’m attentive with feeding, walks, litter care, playtime, and any specific instructions you leave. I also make sure to keep you updated so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well looked after.

Over: I've been surrounded by animals all my life. I got my first dog when I was 6 years old; sadly, she passed away, but she was a beautiful and very gentle German Shepherd. I've also had a variety of other pets, such as rabbits and turtles, and know a Beagle named Kira. I'm a very patient person and an absolute animal lover. This is why I chose to join Rover! I go to the office from Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesday and the rest I work from home. Normally I have availability all weekends. I'm also very flexible. I do my best to adapt to each dog's needs, taking the time to understand their desires, like whether they're in the mood for a walk. I make sure to follow any guidelines provided by the owner to ensure their pets receive the best care possible. Plus, I'll send photo updates during the stay, so owners can have peace of mind and feel more connected to their furry friend’s experience.

Over: I was born on World Animals Day, so maybe that’s part of why I’m so crazy about animals. But it’s also because I grew up surrounded by cats and dogs. My family has had several generations of Dutch Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a Jack Russell, and last year I adopted my own dog, Raya, in Mexico. Raya is still in Mexico, and until I bring her over here, I have time to lovingly care for other four legged friends. I’ve taught Raya a lot myself (and helped her unlearn a few things), and recently got my brother’s 7 year old Belgian Malinois to stop pulling on the leash too. My family and friends always call me the dog whisperer, and I love being surrounded by dogs, as long as they’re well behaved, of course. I also spent two years volunteering weekly at a dog shelter in Mexico: cleaning kennels, refreshing water and food, and lots of cuddling. Your pet is welcome at my place, as long as they’re house trained. I can also come to you, whatever works best. I live close to Vondelpark and also across from a small park. My days are flexible and everything’s up for discussion :) Ik werk voor mezelf en meestal vanuit huis. Als jouw beestje bij mij overnacht dan is het eerste wat ik doe in de ochtend met haar/hem naar buiten voor een lange wandeling + spelen van in ieder geval 45 minuten tot een uur. Dan ga ik aan het werk of sporten en ik laat nog een keer uit rond begin van de middag en nog een lange wandeling aan het einde van de middag. Ook voor het slapen gaan nog altijd even naar buiten. Soms heb ik een afspraak buiten de deur waardoor ik soms 1-3 uur weg kan zijn, maar nooit langer. Zoals gezegd in mijn profiel is mijn hond er nu niet en ik weet niet of ik dezelfde service aan zou bieden als mijn hondje er is. Ze moet erg wennen eerst aan Nederland en de drukte. Dus mijn huis is leeg en ik prefereer alleen 1 hond bij mij thuis zodat hij/zij de volle aandacht krijgt, tenzij je 2 honden hebt waar ik op pas en ze zijn gewend aan elkaar. Ik heb een balkon en tuin, maar de tuin is gedeeld met airbnb gasten dus voor buiten laat ik meestal de balkondeur open en afgesloten naar de tuin.

Over: Ive had my dog Cindy since I was 14! Since moving to Amsterdam 4 years ago, I’ve missed having a pet’s company so much. Besides my own dog, I have taken care of both cats and dogs through drop-in visits and walking. I would love to get to take care of your doggie or cat. I’m currently in between studies, going into my masters. Since it is the summertime, I’m quite flexible, as well as on the weekends. I will be happy to fit in some walks and care then! Over: I am a master’s student at the vu from the states. my pup is part of my family so of course I brought her with me : ) I’ve had and trained dogs for my whole life and love them with my whole heart. I have worked in wildlife conservation and am currently studying clean water. I’m currently a student with classes on Tuesdays and Fridays. I’m free to care for your pets any other time during the week! I live in an apartment right now and walk my own dog at least four times a day. I feed her once in the morning and once at night.
