Hey there 🐾 I've been combining my remote job as an economist with petsitting for some time now in Portugal, Germany and Amsterdam. With two furry friends back in sunny Portugal (a beagle and a German shepherd), I've got pet love in my DNA. I'll make sure to transpose that feeling of missing my pets by spoiling yours with cuddles and care. I am also experienced with dogs and cats who require special attention, either because of their age or because they're being medicated, or sometimes because they are depressed). Turning myself into your dog/cat's friend would make us all super happy. I'm pretty sure of that! 🐶😺✈

Afonso was absolutely perfect and incredibly communicative while we were away! Our cat Sara was still recovering from a prior operation but we explained everything to him and felt so reassured she was being looked after and in safe hands. Even though she is a very shy and skittish cat Afonso still took the time to try and make her comfortable in his presence, and kept us updated with how she was every day. Thank you so much Afonso for spending time with Sara and making sure she was safe and well! 🙏
Afonso provided thoughtful updates on Pat’s physical health and emotional well-being from the very beginning, and it was clear he paid close attention to every detail. When Pat suddenly developed a serious abscess, Afonso immediately adjusted his schedule, took him to the vet on short notice, kept me informed throughout the entire process, and helped coordinate the transition to an overnight sitter while I was away. Being far from home during a medical emergency was incredibly stressful, but knowing Pat was in Afonso’s care gave me complete peace of mind. His communication, honesty, flexibility, and dedication went far beyond what I expected, and I will always be grateful for everything he did. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pet as if they were their own, I wholeheartedly recommend Afonso.
Afonso was wonderful! What especially stood out was his attention to detail and going the extra mile without even being asked. We came home to a happy and healthy cat in a clean home. Afonso was a great communicator, responsible, and friendly from the start. We will absolutely book him again in the future.
Please book Afonso if you want your pets to be taken care of greatly. My 2 kittens adapted to his friendly approach instantly, they spent time together in the balcony and he even brought some extra toys for them. Amazing daily updates with pictures and videos, great communication and flexibility as well. 100% recommended! 😊
Afonso was the sweetest! His communication was really good, every day I got extensive updates and pictures of my cat, and he even got so far as to buy a little toy for her when I was gone. Afonso is very trustworthy and i would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a catsitter. 10/10!
Both me and my cat were very happy with Afonso. I had a carefree holiday without worrying if Zepp was doing okay at home. Afonso sent a video and pictures every day and quickly responded to any questions I had. And Zepp was relaxed and happy when we came back!

A typical day
When I take care of your pets, we have a blast! We go on exciting walks in the park, if that's your pet's thing. If they are more on the homie side, I always try to keep their minds busy with puzzle toys and treat dispensers. There’s plenty of cuddle time, belly rubs, and snuggles too. Plus, I personally love to practice cool tricks and commands to keep them sharp.
