Hey there 🐾 I've been combining my remote job as an economist with petsitting for some time now in Portugal, Germany and Amsterdam. With two furry friends back in sunny Portugal (a beagle and a German shepherd), I've got pet love in my DNA. I'll make sure to transpose that feeling of missing my pets by spoiling yours with cuddles and care. I am also experienced with dogs and cats who require special attention, either because of their age or because they're being medicated, or sometimes because they are depressed). Turning myself into your dog/cat's friend would make us all super happy. I'm pretty sure of that! 🐶😺✈

We couldn't be happier with the care our cat received! From the very beginning, Afonso was very kind, professional, and incredibly reliable. Alfonso is a true animal lover. Lola was so relaxed when I came back as if I never left. She usually gets stressed when I'm away and gets very clingy. This time she was calm and unbothered.
Afonso was great with our dog; he was very kind and loving with him and sent us many photos from their walk. He responded to messages quickly; communication was a breeze! We would definitely have him walk our dog again! Thank you!

I don’t have enough kind words to say about Alfonso. He was so wonderful with our special needs and reactive dog. We got lots of updates with photos and videos which we could see that she was clearly happy and cared for. He asked excellent questions during the meet and greet and I could tell he really loves and invests in his relationship with animals. This was Alfonso’s first time staying with Rutabaga and hopefully won’t be the last.

A typical day
When I take care of your pets, we have a blast! We go on exciting walks in the park, if that's your pet's thing. If they are more on the homie side, I always try to keep their minds busy with puzzle toys and treat dispensers. There’s plenty of cuddle time, belly rubs, and snuggles too. Plus, I personally love to practice cool tricks and commands to keep them sharp.
