Over: I had my first dog when I was eleven, I learned to take care of him (walking, cleaning up, giving medicine, etc). I’ve also had 4 other dogs in my life and 2 years ago while I lived in France I obtained experience working by taking care of a big dog for a week. I’m also experienced with cats and ferrets :) I work part time with a flexible schedule, so I have a few free spots in my schedule during the week and weekends. I’m mostly open for walks and visits during the afternoon or nighttime. I’m very careful with belongings and animals, I try to be as gentle as I can with them and be aware of what the need.

Over: I don't remember when I didn't have dogs, they are my faithful companions since I was born. I had small, medium-sized dogs and now with my family we have a giant German shepherd! Now that I live in Amsterdam and I miss my puppy I wish I could give my love to other puppies! I am loving and attentive to the needs of a dog, I love taking long walks. I can't wait to meet your pets ! :) I have a full time job with some days of working from home, and on friday i finish at 4. I come home very early after work. And in any case I'm flexible if needed. I live in the middle of Westerpark so in a really green and dog friendly place. I can bring the dog to have walks really often.

Dus als je een hond met gedragsproblematiek hebt, dan ben je bij mij waarschijnlijk niet aan het juiste adres. Overnachtingen of een hele dag met uw hond doe ik liever ook pas nadat ik hem een keer heb uitgelaten en als we beide weten dat het tussen ons klikt!:) Daarnaast heb ik geen bench dus die zou je zelf moeten brengen bij een overnachting. Ik hoor graag van je als je me toevertrouwd met je trouwe viervoeter!:) ----- I am Niels and I just like dogs ;) I do this as a side job for fun. I enjoy walking, skateboarding, or cycling with the dogs, and I try to convey that to them. To be honest, I don't have a huge amount of experience with many different dogs. I have looked after various dogs belonging to friends I've looked after a few times, though. If you have a dog with behavioral issues, its probably not a good fit. I also prefer to only do full-day overnight stays with your dog after I've taken him out for a walk once and when we both know we click! :) On top of this i don't have my own bench, so that would be something which you should bring with you in case of a sleepover. Over: My biggest reference is probably Tosia - my parents’ cat, an anxious baby who hides under the bed when the strangers come for a visit (even my brother!). With me - she happily sits on my lap at every possible occasion. I make the cats get to know me patiently, on their terms, without pushing.
Over: I’ve been living with and caring for cats for over a decade. My journey started back in 2012 when I adopted my first kitten, Suzy, with my mom. Growing up with her taught me everything about cat body language, respect, and patience. Currently, my partner and I have two rescued cats: Luna (adopted in 2020) and Zuko (adopted in 2021). Zuko came to us incredibly young because his mother was adopted before he finished nursing, which caused him to have severe stomach and bowel issues. Through this, I learned a lot about specialized veterinary diets, gut health, and how to administer oral medications without stressing the cat. I also have practical experience with post-surgery care. When Luna was spayed, she had some trouble with her stitches and wounds, so I had to closely monitor, clean, and manage her recovery (which is usually trickier with females). I’m completely comfortable with wound care, keeping cats calm after surgery, and giving pills or liquid medicine if your cat has a treatment ongoing.
Over: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was 10 years old. I am the regular sitter for my parents lovely beagle, but I have experience with dogs of all sizes from Bichon’s to Bernese mountains. I am happy to administer medicines to dogs. I have a flexible work from home policy, so can support you and your pet when you need me, from morning to evening and over night! I have access to a medium-sized fenced garden to keep your dog safe during those mid-night pee’s. I have ample space for a crate if needed. I live in De Pijp, right next to Sarphatipark and other open spaces.

Over: I have been living around animals and especially dogs since I was born, growing up around them. At age 6 I met my beloved cat Coco, who lived an amazing 14 years. It gave me the experience of taking care of senior animals, and above all learning how to be very aware of their special needs :)

Over: Ive taken care over numerous cats for the past 19 years starting with my own cats and also over the past 4 years cats of neighbours who have relied on me to check in and feed their cats. My favourite thing to do at home is snuggle up with my two cats.

“Marta is swift in communication, not only during the day care but also before. She asked for a meet & greet before taking the job which I find very professional and attentive. She asked the dogs schedule regarding food, walks etc. During the day care Marta updated me with Teddy whereabouts and asked whether some behavior is irregular or not. Honden kunnen bij mij thuis komen, maar het is een appartement in het centrum zonder tuin, dus voor het beestje zelf misschien niet het fijnst maar zeker niet wel mogelijk als gewenst!

I truly enjoy spending time with dogs—whether that’s going for active walks and playtime or simply relaxing together for a cuddle on the couch. I am the sole caregiver and will always be the one responsible for your dog’s care and supervision. I understand how important it is to feel that your pet is in safe, reliable hands. I do have an 8-year-old child who is present after school hours. He is very gentle, respectful, and absolutely loves dogs. He enjoys playing and cuddling with them, but your dog will never be left alone with him—I am always present and supervising interactions to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. I work full time, but I am self-employed, so can bring dogs with me to work. From there we can go for a longer walk around lunchtime, or shorter toilet breaks as necessary. Longer walks are also possible before or after work. On weekends we can go for adventures to the many parks of Amsterdam. I have a bakfiets, so if it’s ok with you, we can get around town with the wind in our fur! I have a clean and welcoming environment in my home, with room for playing and napping. I live on the third floor, and there are stairs inside my apartment too. I’m happy to carry smaller dogs up and down, but this might be something to consider. In general, when I am caring for a dog, it’s much like having a child to take care of. I do have an 8 year old (who is very sweet and gentle with dogs), so your dog has to be friendly and comfortable with children. I also need to know how your dog is with other dogs and people, so I can act accordingly. I never let dogs off leash before i know them very well, because I take my responsibility very seriously. And always pick up poop!
Over: I used to have an english sheepdog since I was a child and that was when my love for dogs started. I have also helped babysit a sausage dog in Amsterdam for the past year. I make sure they always feel cared for, comfortable , fed, and frequently taken on a walk. I am current a student at HvA but have plenty of time to pet sit since I have classes online. I have really flexible schedule throughout the whole week. I leave in a flat and there is nothing unsafe for a pet in my place. I always make sure the house is well cleaned and organised.
Over: Ik ben een echte dierenliefhebber! Helaas kan ik momenteel zelf niet adopteren omdat ik te veel reis. Dat vind ik ontzettend jammer, dus daarom lijkt het me heel leuk om af en toe op iemand anders z’n hondje te passen! Van huis uit heb ik altijd dieren gehad, waaronder een Duitse herder, een rottweiler en een Maltezer. Daardoor ben ik gewend aan verschillende karakters en behoeften. Daarnaast pas ik regelmatig op de hond van mijn zus, een rescue uit Spanje. Ik werk voor mezelf vanuit huis, waardoor ik veel aanwezig ben. Dat maakt mijn huis ook geschikt voor hondjes die niet zo graag lang alleen zijn. Ik houd zowel van korte als lange wandelingen en neem honden, afhankelijk van hun karakter, graag mee op pad. Natuurlijk is er thuis ook genoeg tijd om te spelen, knuffelen of gewoon lekker te ontspannen. Daarnaast heb ik een fijn tuintje waar honden lekker kunnen relaxen als het mooi weer is. Mensen omschrijven mij als rustig, warm en zorgzaam. Wat je van mij kunt verwachten? Veel liefde en aandacht voor je hond, regelmatige updates en foto’s, en de geruststelling dat je hond in goede handen is. Ik plan vooraf altijd graag even een kennismaking in, zodat we kunnen kijken of er een goede match is. Ik woon op 40 m² met een tuin. Voor hele grote honden is mijn woning daardoor waarschijnlijk minder geschikt. Goed om te weten: omdat ik op de begane grond woon, hoor je soms geluiden uit het trappenhuis. Daarom is mijn woning minder geschikt voor honden die erg waaks zijn of snel aanslaan bij geluiden. Voor vragen mag je altijd contact opnemen! 🐾 Ik werk voor mezelf vanuit huis en ben daardoor veel aanwezig. Huisdieren zijn dus zelden lang alleen. Mijn planning is flexibel en ik ben over het algemeen veel thuis, waardoor er genoeg tijd is voor wandelingen, speeltijd, rustmomenten en verzorging. Overdag stuur ik ook graag af en toe een update of foto, zodat je weet hoe het met je dier gaat. Ik woon op de begane grond aan een rustige, autovrije straat en heb tevens een volledig omheind tuintje waar honden lekker kunnen relaxen. Ik heb zelf geen honden of katten, waardoor jouw dier alle aandacht krijgt. Daarnaast is er veel groen in de buurt en zijn er verschillende parken op loopafstand.

Over: I love dogs more than humans, which is honestly why you want me watching yours. I don't treat this like a job or a chore I just like hanging out with them. On nice days, expect me to walk your dog to the park for well over an hour just to let them run around and explore. You can do your thing without feeling guilty, knowing your dog is getting all my attention. My schedule is pretty flexible and easy to work around. I usually handle walks in the mornings or early afternoons, but let me know what you need and we can make it work. I’m always happy to do a quick meet and greet with you and your dog before any official bookings just to make sure we’re all a great fit for each other. I also prefer to focus on one dog at a time, though I can take multiples upon request if they're from the same household.

When taking care of a dog I adjust my routine to meet the needs of the dog. I try to suit the needs of the animal and respect their boundaries. If they prefer to be lazy or alone, I give them space, if they prefer interaction and play, I give them attention. I feed them and walk them as agreed with the owner.

For cats, the studio itself is calm and quiet, which makes it an easy space to settle into.

Over: I’ve been taking care of dogs for several years, mainly through friends, family, and neighbors. My main experience is with my neighbor’s dog, Love, a toy poodle. I’ve been caring for him every week since he was a puppy (he’s now two years old). I regularly walk him, look after him when his owner travels, and helped socialize him around other dogs in the park. In addition to Love, I’ve also cared for: • A Chihuahua AdiBue - friend’s dog while she was traveling. • Two Poodles (Rufus & Love) - my girlfriend’s sister’s dog, including a few weeks of full care while traveling. • A Border Collie (Wally) from Rover App • An Australian Shepherd (Roco) - my cousin’s dog I’m comfortable with different personalities, from small companion dogs to more energetic breeds. I focus on calm walks, consistent routines, and making sure dogs feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while their owners are away. I work from home, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. Dogs are rarely left alone, and I can easily adapt walks, playtime, and feeding to their usual schedule. I create a calm, safe, and clean environment, whether in my home or the client’s home. I always follow the dog’s routine, keep doors and leashes secure, and supervise walks carefully. I pay close attention to behavior, comfort, and safety, especially around other dogs. I treat every dog as if it were my own and make sure owners feel informed and confident while they’re away.
Over: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats ever since I was 10 years old. I am the regular sitter for my parents lovely beagle, but I have experience with dogs of all sizes from Bichon’s to Bernese mountains. I am happy to administer medicines to dogs. I have a flexible work from home policy, so can support you and your pet when you need me, from morning to evening and over night! I have access to a medium-sized fenced garden to keep your dog safe during those mid-night pee’s. I have ample space for a crate if needed. I live in De Pijp, right next to Sarphatipark and other open spaces.

Dus als je een hond met gedragsproblematiek hebt, dan ben je bij mij waarschijnlijk niet aan het juiste adres. Overnachtingen of een hele dag met uw hond doe ik liever ook pas nadat ik hem een keer heb uitgelaten en als we beide weten dat het tussen ons klikt!:) Daarnaast heb ik geen bench dus die zou je zelf moeten brengen bij een overnachting. I enjoy walking, skateboarding, or cycling with the dogs, and I try to convey that to them. To be honest, I don't have a huge amount of experience with many different dogs. I have looked after various dogs belonging to friends I've looked after a few times, though. If you have a dog with behavioral issues, its probably not a good fit. I also prefer to only do full-day overnight stays with your dog after I've taken him out for a walk once and when we both know we click! :) On top of this i don't have my own bench, so that would be something which you should bring with you in case of a sleepover. Over: I moved here recently here with my partner and I am taking a break from nursing to pursue other things! I love dogs which is why I have my own dog named Andie, who I am home with most days. We welcome dogs into our home, and your dog can have a little playdate! I have experience with separation anxiety, and I will honor whatever care plan that you may have in place. I can administer medications and make sure your dog feels welcome and secure. I will provide as many updates you like on your pup because I know what it’s like to feel anxious about not being around them. My home is open to your fur baby! I am free most days and can walk your dog whatever their schedule is. I am very flexible with stays at my home or at yours any day of the week. In my home, I let them sniff the area first to get the lay of the land. This will give them space to get comfortable surroundings and understand that it is a safe space for them. Since my dog is also home with me, I prefer they meet in neutral territory for a meet & greet to ensure that it is a good match, however I’ve had other dogs come over without the need for one, and it has been okay. I just like to take the extra precaution to give both of us piece of mind. At the client’s home, I’ll follow yours and your dog’s routine. I’ll initially watch them closely to assess how they interact in their home. I do this for my own understanding so I can best read their needs.
Over: Op mijn tiende kreeg ik mijn eerste hond, meteen een hele grote Bordeaux dog genaamd Diesel. Na 2 jaar kwam daar een nog grotere hond Hooch bij. Beide honden heb ik vele jaren met heel veel plezier verzorgd en van gehouden. Toen ik 10 jaar geleden op mijzelf ben gaan wonen in Amsterdam, ben ik begonnen met het fosteren van honden uit asielen in Spanje en Portugal. Angstige honden, honden van de straat, mishandelde honden en honden die nog nooit aan de riem hebben gelopen, jong, oud, ze zijn allemaal bij mij over de vloer geweest. Met ontzettend veel liefde heb ik dit jarenlang gedaan, totdat ik ontzettend verliefd werd op mijn laatste foster; Simba. Ik heb dan ook besloten hem te adopteren en ondertussen zijn we al weer 4 succesvolle jaren verder. Een aantal keer heb ik nog honden uit het asiel opgevangen samen met Simba, maar omdat ik af en toe naar het buitenland toe moet voor werk is opvang vinden voor 2 honden net te lastig. Ik heb ontzettend veel zin om een tweede hond over de vloer te hebben, Simba kan af en toe wel een maatje gebruiken! Ik heb een eigen zaak in het centrum van Amsterdam. Maar als ik van tevoren een oppas aanvraag/planning krijg hoef ik die dagen niet aanwezig te zijn in de winkel, er is dan personeel aanwezig. Wat je kan verwachten; •Opvang met jaren ervaring met verschillende rassen, persoonlijkheden en groottes •Een fijne, rustige en liefdevolle omgeving •Dagelijkse wandelingen, spelletjes, knuffels, en voor de hele slimme honden die niet vermoeid raken van wandelen, doen we denk-spelletjes. •Tweemaal daags een uitgebreide update en door de dag heen foto's en video's. Ik heb een hele vriendelijke podenco van 8 kilo. Hij is rustig en goed getraind en vindt spelen ook leuk. Helaas hebben wij geen tuin maar wel een groot balkon achter en heerlijke zoninval in de woonkamer. De oppashond mag op bed, op de bank, ik heb een huis met weinig dure spullen zodat er niks kapot kan gaan en de honden lekker hun gang kunnen gaan. Ik woon op een tweede verdieping dus de voordeur leidt niet meteen naar de straat. Let op: Voor dagopvang bij ons en/of korte verblijven gaat Simba naar mijn partner. Hij wordt al een dagje ouder en kan dan rustig zijn eigen gang gaan. Op deze manier hoeft er ook geen speciale kennismaking plaats te vinden tussen Simba en de oppashond voor de boeking.

Over: Ik heb vanaf jongs af aan altijd dieren om me heen gehad, konijnen, katten, honden, hamsters noem het maar op, ik hield toen al van de aanwezigheid en liefde van de dier. Zelf heb ik een poes van bijna 7 dat echt mijn kindje is en het het liefst zou ik ook een hond willen maar daar vind ik m’n woonruimte klein voor dus vandaar dat ik met liefde voor andere honden (en katten) zorg. Ik heb in de tijd dat ik in LA woonde voor 4 honden gezorgd, het was voor mij altijd weer een feestje om een lange wandeling te maken, zonnetje, palmbomen en honden wat wil je nog meer! :) Helaas is het in Amsterdam niet altijd mooi weer maar ook hier heb ik voor andermans honden gezorgd, oa als dierenbuddy, waar ik voor een oudere dame haar hond wekelijks uitliet. Mijn moeder heeft ook een hond die ik vaak uitlaat en naar de kapper breng en ophaal. Verder ken ik veel mensen met honden en die zijn altijd stapelgek om me (en andersom). Ook heb ik in het verleden op katten van buren en vrienden gepast en af en toe doe ik dat nog steeds voor een buurmeisje. Ik weet dat omgang met dieren gewoon mijn passie is en ik wil daarom uiteindelijk ook mijn eigen hondenuitlaat bedrijf beginnen. Ik ga binnenkort ook starten met een cursus dieren ehbo en ik ben ook veel aan het lezen over honden gedrag. Ik hoop dat mijn profiel je aanspreekt en ik met alle liefde voor je kleine (of grote) vriend kan zorgen. Ik werk 4 dagen per week, dinsdag, zaterdag en zondag zijn m’n vrije dagen dus dan ben ik vrij flexibel om voor je hond/kat te zorgen. Maandag en vrijdag overdag ben ik beschikbaar tot 15 uur en dinsdag, woensdag & donderdagavond ben ik ook beschikbaar. Ik heb zelf een kat thuis en zij is gewend om alleen te zijn dus ik weet niet of ik de huisdier bij mijzelf thuis kan opvangen
Over: I'm working 2 days a week and am in between jobs which means I have a lot of mornings, afternoons and entire days to spend with your cat! Super flexible. I love cuddles play and attention but also care about rest and your cat's wellbeing, including respecting its energy, sleep and any special needs like medication.
Over: I've taken care of my family dog since I was 14, and later I got a beautiful cat named April. In the past years, I regularly sat with my friend's cats and dogs when they traveled, and helped with neighbors' pets too. Over: Mijn vriend is opgegroeid met een hond en heeft dus veel ervaring met hondengedrag. Zelf ben ik opgegroeid met heel veel huisdieren én liet ik vroeger altijd alle honden uit de straat uit! We zijn allebei échte dierenliefhebbers. We houden allebei enorm van wandelen in het bos, dus we zijn altijd wel in voor een goede wandeling met jouw hond! En omdat we met z'n tweeën zijn, krijgt je hond bij ons sowieso alle aandacht en knuffels die hij verdient. Hoewel we allebei fulltime werken, werken we 2 tot 3 dagen per week vanuit huis. Hierdoor hebben we superveel flexibiliteit om onze dag helemaal om jouw hond heen te plannen! Mocht het een keer nodig zijn, dan mag de hond zelfs met ons mee naar kantoor. We zijn allebei erg actief en wonen direct aan het park. Tussen het werken door kunnen we dus heel gemakkelijk even naar buiten voor een heerlijke, actieve wandeling! We wonen direct aan het park, dus we stappen zo het groen in zonder langs drukke wegen te hoeven lopen. Tijdens het wandelen houden we honden voor de veiligheid altijd netjes aan de lijn. Om je een gerust gevoel te geven, sturen we gedurende de dag gezellig foto's en updates. Ook plannen we vooraf altijd een vrijblijvende Meet & Greet. Zo kunnen we rustig bespreken wat jouw hond gewend is qua ritme en regels, en stemmen we alles perfect af!

“Our Mabel is not only a 4 months old puppy, but an Aussie puppy, which makes it A LOT to take in: a LOT of energy, chewing, potty incidents, so we were very worried with leaving her with someone else for the first time. Paulien took excellent care of her for the 3 days we were out of town - she was very patient, attentive, understanding of everything that came with the job. She was constantly in touch with us, sending us plenty of videos and pictures, asking questions if necessary - the communication was fun and top notch, and I could feel that Paulien was having fun with Mabel despite all the challenges (or even enjoying them! ?) and that Mabel had fun as well.
