Over: Two Dalmatians, a chihuahua, a Pomeranian and three mutts were my siblings growing up. I took care of them through every vet visit, may it be grooming days, sick days, or the few times they’ve given birth to puppies! I currently work part time so I am mostly at home and can do check-ins or walks, this is updated on my Rover calendar. I stay alert on walks and during home-sitting with pets. Care instructions for your little one will be carefully followed and depending on your preference, I can send updates throughout the sitting.

Over: I grew up with pets (dogs and rodents) and have taken care of pets practically my whole life. 5 years ago, I took a wonderful boy called Charlie home from the shelter (you can see him in all of my pictures). He was already a bit older, and I was lucky to have him by my side for 4.5 years until he sadly passed away last October. I have a big heart for animals, and therefore miss taking care of a hairy friend! I have experience with taking care of both small and larger dogs, as well as senior dogs and dogs with medical needs. I recently started a PhD and am therefore not home during work days (mo-fr). This is why I currently am not in the position of adopting a dog myself, but would love to take care of dogs on the weekends when I am home. When taking care of a dog I adjust my routine to meet the needs of the dog. I try to suit the needs of the animal and respect their boundaries. If they prefer to be lazy or alone, I give them space, if they prefer interaction and play, I give them attention. I feed them and walk them as agreed with the owner.

They took him for several short pee breaks during the day which we really appreciated since it is quite hot out to do longer walks today. Over: I work in Marketing & Communications and live in between 2 parks - Oosterpark and Frankendael park. I love walking, so your dog will always be entertained. I had 2 wonderful family members - a big poodle and a Coker spaniel, who lived happy long lives. As a dog sitter I provide care and safety for your pets, long walks and fun games, as well as maintaining discipline. I usually babysit the dogs of my friends and people I know and I’d like to do it for more owners and their fluffy kids:) I’d like your pet to be dropped off prior to 8am and to be picked up after 6pm on the weekdays. On a weekend the drop off and pick up are flexible. I take notes on the owners preferences and keep the dog’s usual routine to keep them away from stress. Depending on the dog’s personality, I can engage them in games and long walks or provide some space for them to be comfortable. I genially love dogs and do my best for them to enjoy the stay.

Over: Hello! My name is Sandy, I’m 30 years old, a mother, and I truly understand the importance of care, attention, and responsibility in daily life. I am new to professional pet sitting, but I have always loved animals and enjoy spending time with them. I am caring, gentle, and responsible. My priority is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and loved while you are away. I am available Tuesday to Saturday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Mondays and Sundays are usually not available, but occasional exceptions can be arranged in advance. I live in a spacious home with a large yard. The outdoor area is not fully enclosed, so pets will always be supervised when outside for their safety and comfort.

We care for pets in a safe, calm, and clean environment, either in our home or the owner’s home. We follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. Pets are always supervised during playtime and walks, never left alone for long. We also carefully follow any instructions from the owner to ensure the best care.

Over: 15 jaar lang was een trouwe viervoeter mijn beste vriend. Nu zij er niet meer is mis ik het ontzettend om lekker te knuffelen, te wandelen en te spelen. Ik vind honden echt fantastische dieren en vind het heerlijk om ze te vertroetelen. Wandelen is iets wat ik graag doe dus hoe leuk zou het zijn als ik dan gezelschap heb :) Ik heb een flexibele part-time baan voor drie dagen in de week en af en toe doe ik wat freelance foto klusjes. Daar omheen heb ik lekker veel vrije tijd om voor je trouwe viervoeter te zorgen! Ik heb een eigen studio met een klein balkonnetje en er is genoeg natuur in de omgeving waar we lekker rond kunnen rennen. Ik heb zelf geen huisdieren, des te meer knuffels voor je lieve diertje!

Over: I'm new to Rover, but dogs have already been part of my routine for a while. My parents look after a friend's dog once a week, and I often join in, walks, feeding, playtime, the whole thing. I know how to help a dog feel settled and comfortable even outside their usual home, and I bring that same patience and attention to every dog I care for. I'll follow your instructions closely and keep you posted throughout, and while I'm new to the platform, I'm not new to dogs, I'd love the chance to prove that to you and your pup :) I work from home most days, so I'm around and available almost all the time, the only regular exception is Thursdays, when I'm out. I'm also quite active, which works out well: dogs get a proper walk, and if it's a cat keeping me company at my desk instead, that's just as good a day for me. I live in a small studio (36m²), but the area right outside is genuinely great for dogs, plenty of green space nearby. Happy to share more about the neighborhood once we're in touch. For cats, the studio itself is calm and quiet, which makes it an easy space to settle into.

Over: I love dogs more than humans, which is honestly why you want me watching yours. I don't treat this like a job or a chore I just like hanging out with them. On nice days, expect me to walk your dog to the park for well over an hour just to let them run around and explore. You can do your thing without feeling guilty, knowing your dog is getting all my attention. My schedule is pretty flexible and easy to work around. I usually handle walks in the mornings or early afternoons, but let me know what you need and we can make it work. I’m always happy to do a quick meet and greet with you and your dog before any official bookings just to make sure we’re all a great fit for each other. I also prefer to focus on one dog at a time, though I can take multiples upon request if they're from the same household.

 I live on the ground floor and have a big garden where your dog can sunbathe and relax any time they want! This garden is fenced and 100% safe. As I mentioned, I have a 7yr old female dog - if they get along, she'll be available to keep your dog company and play :)

Over: Ik ben een echte dierenliefhebber! Helaas kan ik momenteel zelf niet adopteren omdat ik te veel reis. Dat vind ik ontzettend jammer, dus daarom lijkt het me heel leuk om af en toe op iemand anders z’n hondje te passen! Van huis uit heb ik altijd dieren gehad, waaronder een Duitse herder, een rottweiler en een Maltezer. Daardoor ben ik gewend aan verschillende karakters en behoeften. Daarnaast pas ik regelmatig op de hond van mijn zus, een rescue uit Spanje. Ik werk voor mezelf vanuit huis, waardoor ik veel aanwezig ben. Dat maakt mijn huis ook geschikt voor hondjes die niet zo graag lang alleen zijn. Ik houd zowel van korte als lange wandelingen en neem honden, afhankelijk van hun karakter, graag mee op pad. Natuurlijk is er thuis ook genoeg tijd om te spelen, knuffelen of gewoon lekker te ontspannen. Daarnaast heb ik een fijn tuintje waar honden lekker kunnen relaxen als het mooi weer is. Mensen omschrijven mij als rustig, warm en zorgzaam. Wat je van mij kunt verwachten? Veel liefde en aandacht voor je hond, regelmatige updates en foto’s, en de geruststelling dat je hond in goede handen is. Ik plan vooraf altijd graag even een kennismaking in, zodat we kunnen kijken of er een goede match is. Ik woon op 40 m² met een tuin. Voor hele grote honden is mijn woning daardoor waarschijnlijk minder geschikt. Goed om te weten: omdat ik op de begane grond woon, hoor je soms geluiden uit het trappenhuis. Daarom is mijn woning minder geschikt voor honden die erg waaks zijn of snel aanslaan bij geluiden. Voor vragen mag je altijd contact opnemen! 🐾 Ik werk voor mezelf vanuit huis en ben daardoor veel aanwezig. Huisdieren zijn dus zelden lang alleen. Mijn planning is flexibel en ik ben over het algemeen veel thuis, waardoor er genoeg tijd is voor wandelingen, speeltijd, rustmomenten en verzorging. Overdag stuur ik ook graag af en toe een update of foto, zodat je weet hoe het met je dier gaat. Ik woon op de begane grond aan een rustige, autovrije straat en heb tevens een volledig omheind tuintje waar honden lekker kunnen relaxen. Ik heb zelf geen honden of katten, waardoor jouw dier alle aandacht krijgt. Daarnaast is er veel groen in de buurt en zijn er verschillende parken op loopafstand.

Over: I’m Simone (26), Amsterdam local studying at the University of Amsterdam. I’m only at uni about five hours a week, so I’m home most of the day. 😊 My partner Sam (26) is from England and is working on his PhD. He works from home most days. This means your pet will almost always have one of us around! Sam grew up with a Labrador and cats, so caring for animals has always been part of his life. 🦮🐈 We live in a cozy (37m²) studio in Amsterdam-East, right next to Park Frankendael. Because of our studio setup, our home is best suited for small to medium-sized companion dogs. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to accept large guardian types, mastiffs, or large bull breeds like Pit Bulls, Staffies, and Rottweilers. There is plenty of green space nearby for walks (Ring Dijk, Weesperzijde) 🌲 There is also parking available next to the apartment. If allowed, we love going on longer walks, including trips to the Amsterdam Forest or past nearby cafés. Of course, we always follow your rules and only take pets to places where they are comfortable. If you're looking for someone kind, responsible, and genuinely happy to hang out with your furry friend, I’d love to meet you! I can also send you picture updates!! 💓📸 P.S. I (Simone) also speak Dutch. 🇳🇱 I am a student at the University of Amsterdam, and my partner is completing his PhD, which means our home is almost never empty! Because we are both primarily home based, your pet will benefit from a very consistent routine with frequent potty breaks, interactive playtime, and a quiet, calm environment perfect for naps. :) Between our schedules, there is nearly always someone here to provide company and supervision. On the rare occasion that we are both out for lectures or research, it is never for more than 5 hours. We are more than happy to adjust our daily flow to match your pet's needs! Our apartment is kept tidy and pet proofed for safety. Although we live on the 4th floor, our building has an elevator, making it easily accessible for dogs of all ages and mobility levels! :) Downstairs, there is a ramp in addition to the stairs (which is much better for the short-legged paws) We are located right next to Park Frankendael, which offers wonderful, green routes for our daily walks. We follow your specific instructions regarding feeding, medication, and sleep habits to ensure your dog’s routine stays consistent. As we love taking pictures you will also get consistent photo updates so you can see exactly how your pup is settling in!
