Over: I’m a German au pair currently living in Amsterdam, taking care of two children during the week. Outside of those hours, I have a lot of flexibility and would love to spend my time pet-sitting—both to save up for university and because I genuinely love animals. Growing up, my family couldn’t have dogs or cats due to my dad’s allergy to animal dander, but I did have pets such as budgies. This taught me responsibility and daily animal care from a young age and made me appreciate every opportunity I now have to spend time with animals. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I regularly look after my boyfriend’s dog when his family is away, I feed and care for my neighbor’s cat during holidays, and I’ve often gone on walks with dogs belonging to family friends. During the week, I work as an au pair from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:00–8:00 PM. This gives me a large free time window late in the morning and early afternoon, ideal for dog walks, feeding cats, or short check-in visits. I’m also available early mornings and in the evenings when needed. On weekends, I’m fully flexible and available for longer stays or extended pet care. I make sure pets receive attention and enrichment — whether that’s interactive play, walks, brushing, or simply calm companionship. I also treat your home with the utmost respect, keeping everything clean and secure. After each visit, I provide updates and photos so you feel reassured while you’re away. If caring for pets in my own home (if applicable), I provide a calm, safe environment with close supervision and plenty of attention, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure.

Over: Hallo! Mijn naam is Nicky ( er staat Cornelia omdat dat mijn doopnaam is en dit ook zo op mijn identiteit bewijs staat. Het lukte mij niet om het te veranderen) Ik ben opgegroeid op een boerderij in Frankrijk waar ik eigenlijk altijd wel met dieren bezig was. Wij hadden een hond en 8 katten. Ook hebben wij vaak nestjes met kittens gehad. Ik kan dus wel zeggen dat ik een pro ben ik katten opvoeden. Als ik een kat of een hond zie dan moet ik altijd even stoppen om ze te aaien. Een echte dierenvriend! Ik ben stewardess als beroep dus ik heb een heel wisselend rooster waardoor ik dus ook wellicht last minuut zou kunnen oppassen. Graag bespreek ik met u samen over de opties. Ik werk momenteel als stewardess waardoor ik doordeweeks en soms ook in het weekend beschikbaar ben. Dit rooster is elke week verschillend. Graag bespreek ik wat de mogelijkheden zijn en wat er past ivm mijn werk rooster. Helaas heb ik momenteel zelf geen huisdieren ivm het appartement waar ik in woon maar ik kom graag uw huisdier wat te eten en liefde geven!

I provide dog drop-in visits focused on your dog’s comfort, routine, and well-being while you’re away. Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. I have my own studio with elevator accessibility. Only two minutes walk from my studio is lots of nature and forests, as well as a large area specifically for dogs to walk both on and off the lead.

Over: I have been in love with dogs since I was 12 but I could never have mine so I love to take care of lovely dogs. I trust them more than humans. I will be quite flexible in the summer. Mainly not available on weekends and won't be in Amsterdam from the middle of a guest till the 5th of September I can not host the dog in my place but I am open to taking care of them in their places one of my best I is a vet so I always try to update myself in conversation with him.

Over: Hi! I'm Jess and I am a dog mom to 11-year-old Siberian Husky, Luna. She is a sweet, energetic, confident dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. She has lived and traveled all over the U.S. (over 20 states!) and now has made her way with us across the ocean to The Netherlands. Even before becoming a Rover sitter, I cared for friends' and neighbors' dogs on many occasions including a beagle, a husky and a golden retriever and grew up with shih tzu and a cockapoo, who I loved to play with and walk around the neighborhood. Before moving to The Netherlands, we most recently lived in Richmond, Virginia and enjoyed walking the many urban hiking trails and parks together. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: €10/hr 5pm-10pm: €12/hr 10pm-8am: €16/hr Holidays & Weekends: €18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of €40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.
