Over: Sinds kleins af aan groei ik op met veel grote honden om me heen. Deze zijn onderdeel van onze familie en gaan overal mee naartoe. Mijn liefde voor mijn eigen honden beïnvloedt hoe ik met andere viervoeters omga, wat zorgvuldig en liefdevol is. Mijn ouders zijn al veel langer thuis in de huisdieren verzorging en door hun liefde ervoor met mij te delen, wil ik nu graag mijn hulp en toewijding aanbieden om andere te helpen. Momenteel werk ik part-time. Hierdoor ben ik heel flexibel en heb ik veel vrije tijd. Deze zou ik graag op willen vullen met wandelingen of bezoekjes aan gezellige huisdieren. Ik ben heel bekend met de veilige manieren van omgang met verschillende huisdieren. Ook begrijp ik dat ieder huisdier zijn eigen manier van gedragen heeft, hier hou ik altijd rekening mee. Of jou huisdier meer behoefte heeft aan rust, wandelingen en/of speel momenten, ik pas me aan!

Over: Sinds ik heel jong ben laat ik al de honden uit van buren, vrienden en familie. Dit is altijd al een grote hobby geweest. Daarom heb ik later van mijn hobby mijn baan gemaakt en werkte ik als verzorger bij een hondenpension. Ik heb hierom veel ervaring met honden. Ik werk momenteel parttime met een wisselend rooster. Over: Zelf heb ik al twee jaar een lieve en speelse labradoodle genaamd: Ollie. Het wandelen en spelen met honden vind ik ontzettend leuk en samen met Ollie bied ik een gezellige en leuke wandeling voor jouw hond! Momenteel studeer en werk ik daarnaast nog. Hierdoor ziet elke week voor mij er net anders uit en heb ik net andere uren. Maar hierbuiten heb ik genoeg tijd om te lopen met de honden. In mijn omgeving is er veel ruimte om leuk te wandelen. Er is een klein (omheind) losloopgebied 2 minuten verder van mijn huis en ook ben ik met de auto binnen 20 minuten bij het strand of grotere losloopgebieden.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. Over: I have grown up around dogs. Most clients I have babysat for have dogs and I have one too. I love animals whether they are large, small, walk, hop, fly, swim or slither I have always enjoyed every creation. I think the world is a better place for having people like Jack Hanna, Cesar Milan, Steve Irwin, and there are too many to list! No other animal is used to aid the blind, and help fight wars. Dogs can teach us things and are excellent companions what's not to love? I am not ready to get a new one after loosing my dog to cancer less than a year ago. Almost every day I go for a walk in the Dutch forests or sand dunes. Usually some friends will tag along. Everybody loves cruising the country roads in my Tesla model S with free electricity ;) I am not bragging here, but merely expressing my daily gratitude for what it enables us to do. It has a big trunk with a dog fence and room for one huge, or two midsized dogs :) Now, imagine your dog(s) being tended to every day, and being together outside most of the time, coming home with me in our beautiful house with kind and loving people, where they are massaged and cuddled. About multi-day stays: if you want your dog(s) to have a stable rhythm and a peaceful home at night, then that can be arranged. And if you like the idea of us going on a camping trip, then that would be quite the adventure ;) Did I mention I have Apple AirTags (with my phone number on them) to track the dogs? I could even share the dogs' location so you can see where we are ;) I am retired and available a lot, and very flexible. You can call me any day to see if I am available any of the next days. (For multi day plans please contact me some days in advance.) I will give the dog the attention it needs, and help it to feel at ease. Dogs relax with me very quickly and will get all the cuddles they desire! I usually allow dogs on my couch, but if you want me to train them a certain way (like staying on the floor) that is fine too, of course. At my home we do have stairs, but of course I will carry the dog if needed. We have safety fences for babies and dogs on every floor.

Over: Hi! I'm Jess and I am a dog mom to 12-year-old Siberian Husky, Luna. She is a sweet, energetic, confident dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. She has lived and traveled all over the U.S. (over 20 states!) and now has made her way with us across the ocean to The Netherlands. Even before becoming a Rover sitter, I cared for friends' and neighbors' dogs on many occasions including a beagle, a husky and a golden retriever and grew up with shih tzu and a cockapoo, who I loved to play with and walk around the neighborhood. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: €10/hr 5pm-10pm: €12/hr 10pm-8am: €16/hr Holidays & Weekends: €18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of €40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.
