Over: I’m a dog mom myself, my little one is currently with my family while I’m living abroad, and I genuinely miss having a dog by my side every day. That’s exactly why I love pet sitting. It gives me a chance to give dogs the affection and attention they deserve. I’m patient, caring, and very attuned to animals’ needs. For me this isn’t a job, it’s something I truly enjoy. Since I’m currently fully focused on finishing my thesis, I have a very flexible schedule and high availability throughout the week. I can easily adapt to your dog’s routine, whether it’s morning walks, midday playtime, or evening cuddles and being present for them. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my absolute priority. I treat every dog I care for as if it were my own, because I know firsthand how much love and attention they need. I’m attentive to their behavior, energy levels, and any signs of stress or discomfort. I always make sure they feel safe, calm, and loved. You’ll get updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while we enjoy our time together.

Over: Hello there pet-owners, How nice that you found my profile. Welcome! What originally started with taking care of our neighbour's dog when I still lived with my family in Germany has turned into becoming a pet-sitter for more than 5 years now. I mostly take care of dogs, all kind of different breeds: teckles, golden retriever, friese stabij, irish setter, chiuaua, pug, soft coated terrier, labrador, elo, and many more. My services include walking as well as hosting the dog at my spacious apartment in the middle of Oegstgeest (many green areas around). I have also stayed at pet-owners houses so that their pet could stay in their familiar environment. That also lead me to being a cat-sitter or taking care of any other animals. I have had a big heart for all kind of animals since I can remember. I value the unconditional love these relationships bring and the special bond that I develop with an animal. Specifically for dog-walking, I love that a loyal companion enjoys their time in nature together with me. I am a very responsible and well organized person. I do enjoy the contact to pet-owners and ensure that their pets are having a good time with me. I am attentive to the pet's needs and update owners regularly. I am currently employed as a PhD student which allows me to be very flexible. I have been living in the Netherlands for 9 years now and I understand the language as well as the culture. If you are new to Rover, you can use my code: LEOI41263 to get a discount! Please reach out to me if you have any further questions. I am excited to learn more about you and your pet. Leonie I am a PhD student who enjoys working from home, so I am quite flexible and happy to take care of your pet during the week as well as in the weekends. I have large windows only in the living rooms and they will stay closed whenever there is a pet around. I live in a very quiet area in a dead end street, so no need to worry about cars.

Over: Hi! I'm Jess and I am a dog mom to 12-year-old Siberian Husky, Luna. She is a sweet, energetic, confident dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. She has lived and traveled all over the U.S. (over 20 states!) and now has made her way with us across the ocean to The Netherlands. Even before becoming a Rover sitter, I cared for friends' and neighbors' dogs on many occasions including a beagle, a husky and a golden retriever and grew up with shih tzu and a cockapoo, who I loved to play with and walk around the neighborhood. Before moving to The Netherlands, we most recently lived in Richmond, Virginia and enjoyed walking the many urban hiking trails and parks together. Since I started pet sitting through Rover, I have stayed with and looked after all of different kinds of pups including senior pups, puppies, and all different sizes of dogs from toy to large. I’ve also cared for other caged pets in the same home like rabbits when needed. I care for them all like they are my very own Luna girl. My husband is also a Rover sitter and will sometimes accompany me. David has always been a dog lover and loves to give my clients some extra attention while you’re away. He is also a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and as such is very good under pressure/does not hesitate to act when dealing with anything out of the ordinary like illness or injury. My clients and I are very lucky to have him by my side when he does come along during bookings. About My Services: I am confident with standard commands in English and am learning some in Dutch as well. I also speak French and am happy to learn and practice commands in any language that suits your pet. All of my services are customizable to your pets needs, but below is a list of what is typically included in my Standard Rate with and without overnight stay, as well as my Constant Care Rate, which I have limited availability to accept, but will consider if I am available and your pet’s needs require it. Standard Rate w/overnight stay: -potty breaks every 4-6 hours during awake hours, depending on your pet’s needs (can accommodate 3-4 hours for young puppies*) -feeding & medication 1-3x per day -1 30-60 min walks/playtimes time per day (can be split into 2 15-30 min walks/playtimes) -2-3 updates per day -overnight stay -2-4 hours/day of time spent at home during awake hours for your pet’s comfort, mental stimulation, or play time during the day Standard rate - no overnight stay: -potty breaks every 4-6 hours during awake hours, depending on your pet’s needs (can accommodate 3-4 hours for young puppies*) -feeding and medication 1-3x per day -1 30-60 min walks/playtimes time per day (can be split into 2 15-30 min walks/playtimes) -2-3 updates per day -no overnight stay -4-8 hours/day of time spent at home during awake hours for your pet’s comfort, mental stimulation, play time or other particular needs during the day Constant Care Rate (2x Standard Rate): -frequent potty breaks (less than 4 hours between) during awake hours -feeding & medication as needed (typically 2-3x a day) -1 30-60 min walks per day (can be split into 2 15-30 min walks) -2-3 updates per day -overnight stay -8-10 hours/day of time spent at home during awake hours for your pet’s comfort, mental stimulation, play time or other particular needs during the day -2-4 hours of time away for pet sitter per day (can be split up into 1-2 hour intervals) *All dogs are different and I will rely on your recommendation for your pets, but as a rule of thumb a puppy can typically hold its bladder for the number of hours equal to its age in months plus one I work remotely and part-time and have plenty of flexibility to accommodate your pet’s unique routine and needs during the week or on the weekend. <~~>~~<~~>~~<~~>~~<~~> Pet and Pet Sitter Safety: I have stayed with dogs who have easy access to a fenced outdoor space and with those who do not, so I am comfortable with ensuring leashes and/or gates are always secure. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: €10/hr 5pm-10pm: €12/hr 10pm-8am: €16/hr Holidays & Weekends: €18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of €40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners I met in the city and at nearby nature spots. A few years later and I am completing my Master's degree at Utrecht University, whilst working as a pack leader at a large doggy day care in Amsterdam. Do I sound like I could be the right fit for your pet? Please get in touch and we can arrange a meeting! (Multiple references available upon request). I am finishing up my MA thesis at Utrecht University, often working from home which is very compatible with pet care. I also am working a lot as a dog walker for an Utrecht based company. So even on working days I can easily bring a dog that I am looking after with me for the afternoon walk, which is a great chance for some group socialisation. I have my own apartment. Only two minutes walk from my studio is lots of nature and forests, as well as a large area specifically for dogs to walk both on and off the lead. Also have access to large farmlands.
Over: (🗣️NL, ENG, PL) I have a degree in Animal Science, and attended an internship at a veterinary clinic and zoological garden. I’ve worked at an animal shelter/ senior house, thus my experience with working with dogs and cats can assure you, your beloved once will be in good hands :). Animals have always been a huge part of my life. At my parents house I used to take care of our 7 dogs, which I’ll be happy to talk about more when we meet :) Furthermore I’m a traveller and have an social and outgoing but calm personality. Please, do not hesitate and contact me via direct text message. This way we can plan the visit individually, to your and your pet’s needs. For me pets are part of the family and I approach them each and everyone with the same amount of care, based accordingly on their individual needs.
Over: Hi! I'm David and I am a dog dad to 11-year-old Siberian Husky, Luna. My wife and I got her as a puppy and have raised her to be a sweet, energetic dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. I also grew up with a golden retriever, who I loved to play with and walk around the neighborhood. Now we are located in The Hague near many parks, the beach and forest. I am very used to living with pets and I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully to provide the best care possible. I enjoy long walks, playing, and spending time with dogs. I am available in Zaandam and Amsterdam and I am motivated to learn and grow while providing loving and reliable care.” I am a student and I study English for about three hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. After my classes, I am fully available and flexible for pet care during the rest of the day and week. I enjoy spending time with animals and can easily include walks and care in my daily routine. I always prioritize the safety and well-being of every pet. At home, I have a friendly dog, and I am used to caring for animals responsibly. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and supervised at all times. I enjoy taking dogs on walks and providing them with attention, exercise and care.
