I’m very familiar with medium and large-sized dogs, as I often help my friends and neighbors walk and take care of their dogs and I used to have a Border Collie–German Shepherd mix when I was a kid (sadly she’s already in heaven now). ‼️Please keep my pet preferences in mind, as I can't take care of large dogs, and I do not speak Dutch‼️ I am currently studying full term, and only have 2 classes a week. Besides this I spend my time at home playing videogames or working on my thesis. I also hang out with friends, but when im taking care of a fur baby, I make sure that their needs are met first or even inviting my friends over to my place for them to get double the care and love☺️ I have taken care of both dogs and cats before, and I make sure to spend time around them and see what they feel comfortable with! With dogs, I would prefer to walk them in more quiet places or their usual trail to make them feel comfortable! And when taking care of pets at home, I make sure windows are always closed and never leave out any food or dangerous items!

When I was a kid I wanted to be a veterinarian but I didn’t like to see animals suffer so I switched to pet sitter haha so now I only see them happy :) I have experience with cats and dogs of all sizes. Over: Ik heb sinds mijn 9e een hele lieve hond gehad, Max. Samen met mijn ouders heb ik hem goed getraind, waardoor hij altijd goed luisterde. Ik heb bijna 16 jaar van hem mogen genieten, hij is helaas vorig jaar overleden aan ouderdom. Inmiddels woon ik alleen en zou ik het heel leuk vinden om af en toe op andere honden te passen en uit te laten. Zelf een hond nemen past op dit moment in mijn leven niet passen (kosten, tijd), maar ik mis het wel, daarom leek dit platform mij de ideale oplossing! Ik heb een kantoorbaan waarbij ik kan kiezen om thuis te werken. Mocht een hond komen logeren, zorg ik dat ik die week thuis werk. Ik woon vlakbij meerdere parken, dus kan gedurende de werkdag de hond meerdere keren uitlaten. Verder zal de hond heel af en toe 1-2 uur alleen gelaten worden als ik ga sporten of bij vrienden ga eten, maar met een rondje hardlopen kan hij/zij natuurlijk lekker mee rennen. Ik heb geen tuin, maar woon wel heel dicht bij meerdere parken, waar ik de hond kan uitlaten. Mijn eigen hond mocht vroeger alleen beneden blijven, dus niet in de slaapkamer. Dus dat lijkt me een goede regel voor de logeerhonden.

Over: Ik ben Julia, 26 jaar oud. Ik heb 17(!!) jaar voor mijn lieve hondje mogen zorgen. Op straat komen willekeurige honden vaak naar me toe gerend, soms tot grote verbazing van hun baasjes. Hier wordt ik altijd intens blij van en ik voel me dan ook vereerd dat er blijkbaar iets aan mij uitstraalt dat er voor zorgt dat honden mij vertrouwen. Over: I've taken care of my own dog, Charlie, now a 9-year-old English Pointer, since I was 14 years old. He required a lot of exercise (walks twice a day) but also due to other complications being a purebred dog, he needed a lot of attention and care, as well as medication twice a day for the past 6 years. I also have experience with cats, as I grew up with a Siamese and Burmese (both purebred, and have very strong but different personalities), which I then had the joy of experiencing taking care of two litters of kittens with my Burmese cat. Thereafter I have fostered puppies (range of ages from 3 and a half weeks old to 1 year old) for 5 years for multiple dog organisations. I have dog sat for a family that had a very old and blind dog, whom needed special care as he was blind and needed help getting outside, which I would do early every morning. I also completed a job shadow of a nurse in a veterinary practice, which needed caring, teamwork and interacting with pet-owner clients. I have experience ranging from very young dogs and cats to very old, and also those who require a lot of attention and those who do not. I am currently a masters student at Leiden University. I study full-time, but as my program is predominantly self-study I have a lot of free time in which I am available to play and look after your pets!
