Over: I have a degree in Animal Science, and attended an internship at a veterinary clinic and zoological garden. “We've always had pets at home. My two daughters grew up among them. When they were little, we had Tico and Teco. Then came Frilly, a very docile basset hound. Lu used to take care of her, feed, and play with her. When Frilly went to have her first babies she stayed in the hospital. According to the vet, we would have to choose between the mother and the babies. Hard decision to take, but my daughters voted for the mother. There was also a time when Frilly had a serious back problem for chasing a gecko. Lu was always attentive and careful with Frilly. So she moved to another city to go to college. Frilly was already getting old. I told my daughters that when Frilly died, I would say: “Frilly had gone up on the roof”. And that day came after 18 years of Frilly with us. No more games on the grass, no more affection on the lap ... Needless to say how we all felt. After came Mafalda, another basset, and Lassie, a collie dog, that belonged to my late father. Meg, a 7-year-old dog, is currently the owner of the backyard. Whenever Luciana came back home, she used to give her affection, play ball, run on the grass, pick her up... As a mother, I have to say that during all this time I've noticed that Luciana has always been affectionate and careful about our pets, and if she has to take care of them, she will do it with a lot of love, care, and responsibility.”

Over: Sinds mijn 4e hebben wij thuis altijd honden gehad, hier is mijn liefde voor dieren ontstaan & nooit meer verdwenen. Ik vind alle dieren lief en zorg met liefde voor die van jou! Ik ben full-time beschikbaar om op te passen in de omgeving van Den Haag! Door de weeks of in het weekend, niets is een probleem! Het is voor mij momenteel niet mogelijk om thuis op te passen, mocht dit een probleem zijn kan ik altijd gebruik maken van mijn ouders huis, hier is een omheinde tuin en genoeg ruimte om met de dieren te spelen!

Over: Ik ben opgegroeid met 2 labradors in huis. Zodra ik op mezelf ging wonen heb ik een pup uit de opvang in huis genomen. Ik ben dus bekend met buitenlandse hondjes. Inmiddels is m'n "pup" 6 jaar en een stabiele hond die van trainen en lange wandelingen houd. Wanneer ik niet met honden op pad ben, werk ik op een kinderboerderij, waar mn hond ook altijd mee is. Ik werk 4a 5 dagen in de week op een kinderboerderij. Ik heb dus 2 dagen in de week over om honden uit te laten of om op te passen. Ik ben deze dagen dan ook vrij, dus de hele dag lekker de tijd om met de hond te wandelen, spelen, trainen en knuffelen. Wanneer de hond bij mij is gaat deze mee in de routine van het huishouden. Een stevige wandeling wanneer nodig, bij lekker weer de tuin in, of luieren op de bank. Wanneer de hond rust nodig heeft kan deze een eigen plekje in de hoek van de kamer krijgen om lekker even terug te trekken.

Over: There have been animals in my family for as long as I can remember. I grew up with Davis, a 40kg Golden Retriever who looked like a giant to me when I was 3 years old. Davis taught me to love dogs and how to approach them. He accompanied me until I was 15 and, after him, Flo and Zoe became part of my life. Zoe, in particular, was abandoned when she was just a puppy and I got her from a shelter in a southern region of Italy. Zoe has never been an easy dog, from the very first moment we met I understood she was very afraid of everything around her, of men and children. It has been a difficult journey, I have worked hard with many dog trainers and over the years the situation slightly improved, although her fears have never completely abandoned her. What makes me really happy, though, is the fact that with me and my family she has never been fearful, she has felt at ease and protected from the very first moment. I think I have given her a great gift to have brought her into my life and she has done it to me being the sweetest doggo I could wish for. All this to say that I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes since I was little. I am also knowledgeable about dog training and agility dog, which I did with Zoe for 3 years. Since I’m in Leiden I do not have my dogs with me and I miss them too much!
