I did my bachelor's in Art History at Leiden University and am now doing my master's in Museum Studies at the University of Amsterdam while working in collection management at the Zaans Museum. I love cold weather, the smell of coffee and cinnamon at 7am, vividly hallucinating with my books, smelling the spot behind the ears of a cat and solo traveling. I’ve been a cat owner for over ten years. In total, my parents and I have cared for three cats, and we’re lucky to still share our lives with two of them. Like many cat families, we have the full spectrum of personalities: a fluffy cuddle-lover and a more gothic, distant–yet-affectionate soul. What has always amazed me about cats is the way they teach us to see companionship differently. Being together while each doing our own thing feels like the purest form of company. Their smallest moments of joy or excitement genuinely make my day. I don’t catsit for the money—which is also why I ask for the minimum possible price on the app—but because after spending a few years without cats, I realised just how much I missed their presence. I never mind going the extra mile when it’s in their best interest. Your cats’ happiness, comfort, and health are always my top priorities. I’m currently on track to finish my MA thesis and work part time in exhibition & artist operations, so I get to spare at least one hour for each visit to your cats. I always ask for emergency vet information and pet passports as well as any special needs or circumstances to look out for that are special to your cat. In case of indoor cats I open doors attentively and don’t leave large open windows. I pay attention to your cat’s eating, drinking and litter box habits.

Over: My whole life I have lived with pets, even with owning several at the same time, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs and others, all with different temperaments. I am able to perform any animal-related tasks, including walking, feeding, giving medicine, playing, cleaning after, etc. I am a full-time psychology student, which allows ms very flexible weekly schedule. Additionally, I am homebody, so I can spend a lot of time indoors. However, on top of that I love being outdoors on walks and runs, during all times of the day. I have a cosy, small studio apartment in the city center, without any roommates nor animals present. The surrounding area outside is in close proximity to nature areas and dog parks.

Over: I have always been loving and patient towards cats and dogs. I have my own cat - Pera who is sadly in Türkiye so I thought in the mean time I’ll spend some time with new friends. I already live in a safe environment (near Leiden Lammenschans) here we have lots of greenery where me and your pet pal take a safe walk outside, get some fresh air. Over: I’m a student currently living in Leiden and a lifelong animal lover. I’m very familiar with medium and large-sized dogs, as I often help my friends and neighbors walk and take care of their dogs and I used to have a Border Collie–German Shepherd mix when I was a kid (sadly she’s already in heaven now). As a young person with passion and energy, I’m comfortable engaging dogs in active play such as fetch, frisbee, and tug-of-war to help them burn off energy in a healthy and enjoyable way, instead of just a normal “walk”. I’m currently a student so I have plenty of time to take care of pets. As a well-organized person, I always use my todo list to plan everything, including my pet care schedule. At a client’s home, I would follow their instructions carefully and prioritize the pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. I would make sure the pet has fresh water, appropriate food if required, and a clean environment. I would also spend time interacting with the pet based on its personality and needs, whether that means active play, gentle companionship, or simply keeping them calm and company. During walks, I would ensure the dog is always safely leashed and avoid risky situations with other animals or traffic. I would also pay attention to any signs of stress or discomfort and adjust my behavior accordingly.

Over: I've had dogs since I was 6, always walking them, playing and giving them belly rubs. Since a few years now, I've been loving cats as well. I took care of my neighbours cats every time he went on vacation as well as my friend's cat. I recently adopted one myself! I'm currently working 3-4 days a week so I have the whole weekend plus Monday free to care for your paw friend. I love walking in nature, cuddling and playing with them and can do that at any time during the weekend while on Monday only until 17. I always check the environment for safety, although I'm sure you already have a perfectly safe home for them, so that mostly matters if there is any change in the environment (something breaking for example)

Over: I've taken care of my own dog, Charlie, now a 9-year-old English Pointer, since I was 14 years old. He required a lot of exercise (walks twice a day) but also due to other complications being a purebred dog, he needed a lot of attention and care, as well as medication twice a day for the past 6 years. I also have experience with cats, as I grew up with a Siamese and Burmese (both purebred, and have very strong but different personalities), which I then had the joy of experiencing taking care of two litters of kittens with my Burmese cat. Thereafter I have fostered puppies (range of ages from 3 and a half weeks old to 1 year old) for 5 years for multiple dog organisations. I have dog sat for a family that had a very old and blind dog, whom needed special care as he was blind and needed help getting outside, which I would do early every morning. I also completed a job shadow of a nurse in a veterinary practice, which needed caring, teamwork and interacting with pet-owner clients. I have experience ranging from very young dogs and cats to very old, and also those who require a lot of attention and those who do not. I am currently a masters student at Leiden University. I study full-time, but as my program is predominantly self-study I have a lot of free time in which I am available to play and look after your pets! I am free most weekdays and the weekend (except some Sundays during the day). I am very easy going and comfortable with pets of all ages. I am deeply passionate about helping and working with animals and I thoroughly enjoy every opportunity I get to spend time with them!

Old dogs need a short walk, other dogs need to run and play longer and more time per day. I will help your dog to maintain his lifestyle the closest as possible to the one she is used with you. My house is a house with a garden with a fence and spacious green areas close by. There is a lot of space to walk in the surrounding area. I live with my husband, my 14 years old daughter and one English bulldog (7 year-old).
