Over: I've been around animals since I was a kid, growing up we always had dogs and cats and I was also taking horse riding classes. I have a dog (Who lives with my mom in another city), and have had animals like cats, hamsters and fish. Over the years I have taken care of animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles and different reptiles. As a veterinarian assistant student I can say with confidence that I have experience with all kinds of pets and also have got experience with providing medicine. I am more than willing to adapt to your pets needs so your pet will always be in loving and capable hands! I’m going to start with a new job that requires me to be in the office full time for about 4 weeks in April, but after that I will be mainly working at home. For now I work a couple days but am mainly at home. If I know that I'll have to be away for longer than 4 hours in a day, I will not put myself available for that day. I live in a flat in the city center in a comfortable apartment with a balcony. Me and my partner keep the apartment tidy and we clean regularly. I do live on the 2nd floor so if your pet has troubles with stairs do let me know! I also speak Dutch and Hungarian if communicating in those languages are easier for you!

 I am Basma, a 27-year-old professional living and working in the Netherlands. I moved to the Netherlands back in 2019 for my master studies at Leiden University, and started working since 2021 upon graduation. My journey from the bustling streets of Shanghai to the serene parks of Den Haag to the charming canals of Amsterdam has been an exciting and amazing adventure. 

 My motivation to be a pet sitter stems from my deep love for dogs and my commitment to their well-being, and the fact that I cannot have my own doggy in the near future :-(((((. I genuinely desire to ensure that pets receive the best care and love that they deserve, even when their owners are away for holidays/busy with work. I always try my best to understand and empathize with the anxiety pet owners feel when they have to leave their furry family members behind, and I strive to provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for every dog I care for. Luckily my work is super flexible and I can work from home at any time if I want, meaning I can be with dogs 24/7 if needed.

 In addition to the joy of spending time with animals, being a pet sitter allows me to meet wonderful pet owners and become a trusted part of their lives. It's a rewarding experience that combines my love for dogs with the opportunity to build meaningful relationships within the community especially now I'm trying to be more extroverted.
 Last but not the least, I always respect different personalities different dogs have, so please share as much information as possible about your (and my upcoming) friend when reaching out.

 Environment & Services
 I live in a quiet and comfortable apartment by myself near Den Haag Centraal Station, nearby which there is a gaint park where I can always see a lot of people walking their dogs. As a bonus, there is also a deer park. I prefer to walk our fluffy friends there in the park, or somewhere nearby if he/she has a 'go-to' place :-)  

Good to know 
- I can go for walks 1-3 times per day (morning & afternoon), at least 30 minutes each time, or longer if needed.  
- For day care & one-night boarding (1 dog only): I will be with the dog the whole day; For multiple-night boarding (1 dog only), I can be with the dog all the time except when I need to do grocery shopping (max. 1 hour). (My job doesn't require me to work from the office, so I can be with the dog as much as needed) 
- Dogs can stay in every corner of my apartment except my bed! 
 - Home visits take approx. 30 mins (can be longer if needed upon consultation), and I'm also willing to water plants :-)

Over: Mijn grote liefde voor honden heb ik vanuit huis uit meegekregen, daar hebben we ook altijd een hond gehad. Later heb ik zelf ook een hond gehad, mijn laatste hondje was Charley, een Frans Bulldogje. Op dit moment is het helaas niet mogelijk om zelf te weer een hond te kunnen nemen, (vanwege allergie bij mijn partner) om op deze manier toch weer de energie en onvoorwaardelijke liefde van en voor honden te kunnen ervaren, dat lijkt mij geweldig. Jong of oud, dat maakt mij niet uit! Ik zal er met even veel zorg en liefde voor jouw hond zijn. Ik heb een een part time baan bij een werkgever en werk ik daarnaast zelfstandig vanuit huis voor mijn eigen bedrijf, waardoor ik flexibel ben De hond krijgt 1 op 1 aandacht en hoeft niet in een bench bij mij thuis want ik ben aanwezig in huis tijdens het oppassen

Over: I have always had dogs and cats at home. I now have a 18 month old golden retriever she loves to play and would love to have another dog to play with. I’m currently a student following classes from home so it wont be a problem to fit caring for your pet in my schedule, I have a lot of time to play with your pet and give them the love & attention they deserve I live in a cozy apartment, for my dog I go on walks very often so won’t be a problem taking them out. For cats, the cat is able to be free in the apartment and explore, in a safe environment obviously

Over: I love animals but due to our long trips we are not able to have our own pet. This allows me and my wife to spend time and take care of animals without leaving them alone when we need to travel. I am normally available on weekends. For week days it depends on workload and business trips. This is something that change on a constant basis. I would like to take care of Pets in my own house. I got a closed garden and also there is a park close by where we can go and play.

Over: I've lived with and loved 2 dogs so far, both from when they were puppies. I understand that the only way forward with dogs is affection and attention. I work remotely, and since I have a dog of my own that means I'm always at my home office. My day is quite flexible, so I take the time for walks and additional play outside of our flat - we live on a quiet street without traffic, so my dog can play fetch often. We have a crate that we do not use anymore, so if needed your pet can be contained. We also have a patio that is walled off so your dog can get fresh air and sunshine.

What originally started with taking care of our neighbour's dog when I still lived with my family in Germany has turned into becoming a pet-sitter for more than 5 years now. I mostly take care of dogs, all kind of different breeds: teckles, golden retriever, friese stabij, irish setter, chiuaua, pug, soft coated terrier, labrador, elo, and many more. Even though she's not at home, my neighbors and I have had a dog on our street for 12 years. We named her Cinnamon because she had cinnamon fur, but she got really old and we lost her last year. So I've had many animal friends since I was a kid. It's great. I work 7-8 hours a day in a restaurant, but I find out the day before when I will be leaving or starting work. Over: Talen: Nederlands, Engels, Russisch Praktisch: binnen de eerste 5 km komen er geen extra kosten bij, vanaf 5 km is het 1 euro per km per wandeling, en vanaf 10 km is het 2 euro per km per wandeling. Toen ik 10 was kreeg ik een hond. Een ongecastreerde Jack Russel mix. Hij was echt mijn maatje maar was helaas 3 jaar geleden overleden. Nu mis ik het wandelen heel erg, maar als student kan ik nu geen hond hebben. Ik loop graag (hele) lange afstanden, of ga hardlopen of spelen met een hond. Ik vind het ook leuk om ze kunstjes te leren. Soms ben ik in eerste instantie een beetje verlegen, maar ik vind al snel de klik met de meeste honden. Ik ben oplettend en ik kijk heel goed naar de lichaamstaal van de hond om te zien of die zich op zijn/haar gemak voelt. Ik ben ook veel de interactie aangegaan met andere honden en voordat ik er zelf een had, was ik al vaak met de honden van de buren aan het spelen of ze aan het uitlaten. Op dit moment heb ik hele leuke goudvissen die nu 6 jaar oud zijn :). Ik was begonnen aan een master en zal daarom vrij veel uren hebben die ik zelf kan invullen. Dus mocht je opzoek zijn naar een standaard oppasser dan zou ik dat wellicht kunnen doen. Ik ben bezig met mijn master wat betekent dat ik een hele flexibele schema heb en juist ook tijdens werktijden beschikbaar ben. Dit zal voorlopig zo blijven. Ik ken de meeste parken en wandelgebieden in leiden vrij goed, waardoor ik een leuke route voor de hond kan uitstippelen. Mocht ik het hondje vaker mogen uitlaten dan vind ik het leuk om wat diverse gebieden te verkennen om eentonigheid voor de huisdier te voorkomen. Wanneer het nodig is kan ik streng en duidelijk zijn. Ik ben niet bang om assertief te zijn.
