Over: Although we are new to Rover, dogs have been a part of our lives for years. We have regularly cared for a Maltipoo for periods ranging from two weeks to one and a half months while the owners were away. This gave us hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure a dog feels comfortable and secure in a family home. Our children's grandparents have a Dachshund who absolutely loves spending time with our kids. Our children are true dog lovers - they are calm, gentle, and naturally connect with dogs. We often notice that dogs quickly feel relaxed and happy around them. We understand that every dog is unique, and we will care for yours with patience, kindness, and lots of attention. We'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. Our dream is to have a dog one day. Since we travel abroad several times a year, we don't feel it's fair to have a pet of our own right now. Instead, we're happy to open our home to dogs whose families need a safe, loving place for them while they're away. We treat every dog like a special guest and a member of our family. Our two sons attend school from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays. My husband works from home full-time, and I also work from home part-time, although I attend Dutch language classes a few times a week. This means there is almost always someone at home to keep your dog company. Every Saturday morning, we cheer on our son at his football matches, and if your dog enjoys being out and about, we'd be happy to bring them along for the fresh air and excitement. We are a very active family and spend a lot of time outdoors. We live next to a beautiful forest (bos) where we enjoy long walks every day, and I often go for runs there. On weekends, we love visiting the beach and exploring parks, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities for exercise, play, and new adventures. Mornings start with a walk, often down to Sarphatipark, followed by regular breaks throughout the day for toilet, play, and outdoor time. Evenings bring a longer walk. Your dog won't be left alone for long stretches; consistent attention is just part of how my days already run. I follow each dog's normal routine - feeding, walks, meds, wherever we are. At home, they join Nori and me around the flat. Never left alone for long. Ik ben opgegroeid met katten, een hond dat uit een asiel is geadopteerd (labrador x stabij) en daarna een border collie x australian shepherd. Zelf heb ik ook kort voor een rescue gezorgd, helaas is deze niet meer bij mij. Ik zou daarom graag weer vaker op honden passen. Wandelen en hardlopen doe ik in m'n vrije tijd al best veel of graag, maar liever samen met een hond (hardlopen met de hond zou in overleg zijn / afhankelijk van of de hond daar behoefte aan heeft). Ik vind het ook heel leuk om te helpen met het trainen, te begeleiden bij hersenwerkjes/puzzels etc. Ik plan graag een kennismaking met jou en je hond(en) in om alles te bespreken. Een proef dag, middag, of overnachting is ook altijd mogelijk. Ik heb tevens (niet in die zin gekwalificeerd of professioneel, maar wel persoonlijke) ervaring met de wat ‘lastigere’ honden en deze zijn in principe en vooral in overleg ook welkom. Het aannemen van meerdere honden van verschillende baasjes gedurende dezelfde periode zal altijd in overleg zijn en ik heb zelf ook de voorkeur om de honden vooraf met elkaar kennis te laten maken. Hi, my name is Hanna! Living in the east of Amsterdam, near Amstelstation (so easy to reach by both public transport and car + there’s an elevator available in the building). I grew up with cats and dogs, and also have looked after a rescue dog for a while who sadly is not with me anymore. I'm excited to look after dogs again more often. I also really enjoy teaching dogs new things or guiding them with puzzles, brainwork etc. I’m looking forward to plan a meet and greet with you and your dog(s) to discuss whatever is necessary. A trial day or night is also always possible. I also have some experience (not in that sense qualified or professional, but personal experience) with behaviourally challenged dogs, which are also welcome but that obviously would require a discussion to see how and what the dog needs / to what extent. Accepting multiple dogs from different owners during the same period will only happen in discussion with the owners and will require a meeting between the dogs beforehand. I’m currently in the process of making this my full time job, so I’m home pretty much full time (besides for groceries and an occasional appointment obviously). So if you have a dog that needs a bit more active supervision or can’t stay alone yet or for not that long, I basically have all the time and presence your pet needs. I live in an apartment that’s decently sound-proof. There’s an elevator present in the building. I have 2 crates set up and also a fence throughout my place, so if needed I can keep the dogs separated when I have multiple dogs. At the moment the max I can keep at once would be 3, but that does take some extra consideration if they do go together if it’s the case they are dogs from different owners. Having 2 together would be more common than 3. Doors of the crates are generally open during the day, so if your dog isn’t crate trained (yet), that’s fine. Sadly I don’t have a garden, but I do have time, so I also like to just be outside with your dog as if we’re hanging out in a garden (I have multiple long leashes as well, so they can also do then do their thing in a safe manner if it’s not in a fenced area).

Over: I grew up around dogs my whole life, so I’m very experienced taking care of them. Since moving to Amsterdam, I’ve regularly pet sat for friends here, everything from quick drop-in visits to longer stays of up to 15 days. I live in a big apartment with my partner, who also loves pets, so we’d be two people looking after yours and it would rarely be alone. We’re close to Erasmuspark, great for walks and playtime, and our place has a big balcony too. I work from home most of the time and only go to the office once a week, so I’m around most days. Happy to take dogs on long walks, or just spend lots of time at home if it’s a cat! Sleeping in the bedroom with me is totally fine, or the living room if your pet prefers sleeping on its own. We currently don’t have any pets of our own. I can do both during the week and weekends. Right now I work from home 4 days a week and I go to the office once a week. This is flexible though, so I can also stay home full-time if needed. I love giving lots of affection and spending quality time with the pets in my care. I do have an active social life, but when I have an animal with me, I try to stay home as much as possible so they feel accompanied and don’t feel alone. If it’s a dog, I really enjoy long walks, so I’d take them along with me. I prefer looking after pets at my own place, but in some cases I’m also open to pet sitting at the owner’s home. As for sleeping, I’m flexible, they can sleep in the bedroom with me or in the living room, whatever they’re more used to. As for pets, I don’t own any currently.

I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.

Over: [english below] Hoi, ik ben Hanna! Wonend in Amsterdam Oost, vlakbij Amstelstation (goed bereikbaar met zowel OV als ook auto + lift aanwezig in het gebouw). Ik ben opgegroeid met katten, een hond dat uit een asiel is geadopteerd (labrador x stabij) en daarna een border collie x australian shepherd. Zelf heb ik ook kort voor een rescue gezorgd, helaas is deze niet meer bij mij. Ik zou daarom graag weer vaker op honden passen. Wandelen en hardlopen doe ik in m'n vrije tijd al best veel of graag, maar liever samen met een hond (hardlopen met de hond zou in overleg zijn / afhankelijk van of de hond daar behoefte aan heeft). Ik vind het ook heel leuk om te helpen met het trainen, te begeleiden bij hersenwerkjes/puzzels etc. Ik plan graag een kennismaking met jou en je hond(en) in om alles te bespreken. Een proef dag, middag, of overnachting is ook altijd mogelijk. Ik heb tevens (niet in die zin gekwalificeerd of professioneel, maar wel persoonlijke) ervaring met de wat ‘lastigere’ honden en deze zijn in principe en vooral in overleg ook welkom. Het aannemen van meerdere honden van verschillende baasjes gedurende dezelfde periode zal altijd in overleg zijn en ik heb zelf ook de voorkeur om de honden vooraf met elkaar kennis te laten maken. Hi, my name is Hanna! Living in the east of Amsterdam, near Amstelstation (so easy to reach by both public transport and car + there’s an elevator available in the building). I grew up with cats and dogs, and also have looked after a rescue dog for a while who sadly is not with me anymore. I'm excited to look after dogs again more often. I also really enjoy teaching dogs new things or guiding them with puzzles, brainwork etc. I’m looking forward to plan a meet and greet with you and your dog(s) to discuss whatever is necessary. A trial day or night is also always possible. I also have some experience (not in that sense qualified or professional, but personal experience) with behaviourally challenged dogs, which are also welcome but that obviously would require a discussion to see how and what the dog needs / to what extent. Accepting multiple dogs from different owners during the same period will only happen in discussion with the owners and will require a meeting between the dogs beforehand. I’m currently in the process of making this my full time job, so I’m home pretty much full time (besides for groceries and an occasional appointment obviously). So if you have a dog that needs a bit more active supervision or can’t stay alone yet or for not that long, I basically have all the time and presence your pet needs. I live in an apartment that’s decently sound-proof. There’s an elevator present in the building. I have 2 crates set up and also a fence throughout my place, so if needed I can keep the dogs separated when I have multiple dogs. At the moment the max I can keep at once would be 3, but that does take some extra consideration if they do go together if it’s the case they are dogs from different owners. Having 2 together would be more common than 3. Doors of the crates are generally open during the day, so if your dog isn’t crate trained (yet), that’s fine. Sadly I don’t have a garden, but I do have time, so I also like to just be outside with your dog as if we’re hanging out in a garden (I have multiple long leashes as well, so they can also do then do their thing in a safe manner if it’s not in a fenced area).

Over: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family had three dogs over the years, and I looked after each one from puppy all the way to senior age, including all the extra care and patience that comes with an older dog. Most recently, I took care of a dog that needed daily medicine and treatment for a ripped paw pad, so I'm comfortable with health routines too, not just walks. I've also worked as a dog walker and sitter, and whether it's your dog or my own, I treat them all the same way: like family. As a freelancer, I mostly work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day. That means I can fit in walks, feedings, or check-ins at times that actually work for your schedule, not just early mornings or evenings. It also means I'm not rushing between appointments, so your dog or cat gets my full attention while I'm there. When pets stay with me, they have plenty of room to settle in. My apartment has a big, spacious living room and kitchen area, and I usually set up a cozy corner just for them so they always have a safe spot to retreat to, while still being free to roam and explore the rest of the apartment. I let them explore at their own pace and approach me when they're ready, rather than the other way around. I might try to make contact with a treat here and there, but I never force it if they're not comfortable yet. For walks, I'm lucky to live close to three parks, so there's always a good spot nearby to stretch their legs.

Als echte hondenliefhebber heb ik jarenlang zelf honden gehad. Ik woon in een ruim appartement op de 5e verdieping met een groot balkon waar een hond heerlijk in de zon of schaduw kan liggen.
