Over: I've been caring for cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we had three family dogs and a cat, and by the time I was 21, my family had taken in seven stray dogs. Living with them was one of the happiest periods of my life. I miss them dearly and would love the opportunity to spend time with and care for pets here in Amsterdam as well. I really love being around animals and making sure they feel safe, cosy, and cared for 💛 I’m available for boarding on Fridays and weekends, and they’re also welcome to stay with me during the week. I’m happy to pick them up around Amsterdam Zuid if Uithoorn is a bit far for you, as I work in Amsterdam :) I don’t currently have any animals of my own. I have a big garden and a cute, farm-like neighbourhood with plenty of parks and forest nearby. Dogs and cats stay indoors, and I would take them outside regularly for walks and play.

Over: Saying I’m good with dogs would be an understatement. I’ve had dogs all my life and the only reason I don’t have one myself right now is because I’m studying medicine and I don’t have the time. I’ve worked for a dog walking company for about a year which I absolutely adored, but also couldn’t keep doing due to my studies. I’ve trained my Old German Shepherd dog (who lives with my parents) through a trainer and learned how to train dogs quite well. Through the dog walking company I also got to be a dog sitter multiple times, for multiple days at a time. Over: Wij hebben jaren lang verschilldende honden gehad op dit moment hebben wij Terror onze mopshondxfranse bulldog. Grote honden en kleine honden het maakt mij niet uit. We hebben met beide ervaring. Mij man en ik zijn grote dierenliefhebbers. Wij hebben kennis en kunde over honden, katten, vogels , vissen etc. Mijn man is jarenlang eigenaar geweest van een dierenwinkel. Wij maken tijd voor de dieren die wij ontvangen, wij zijnzeer flexibel als wij een akkoord hebben berreikt in opvang of oppas dagen. Wij gaan er dan volledig voor. Wij hebben een tuin, en voldoende uitlaat gelegenheden in de omgeving. Enkele keren in de week gaan wij naar grote uitlaat parken. Wij hebben thuis de mogelijkheid tot wassen en verzorgen van de dieren die wij ontvangen.

Over: I have 6 years of experience caring for cats and currently have two cats of my own: a 7-year-old British Shorthair boy and a 5-year-old Chinchilla/British Shorthair silver shaded mixed girl. Both are neutered and very healthy. Over the years, I have gained experience handling different situations including ringworm, urinary blockage, vomiting, diarrhea, heat-related behaviors, medication administration, vet visits, and daily home care. Fortunately, my cats rarely get sick because I pay close attention to their nutrition, health, and emotional wellbeing. I am experienced with mixed wet and dry food feeding, and I also make homemade cat meals and meatballs to provide balanced nutrition. Since my cats are naturally prone to weight gain, I care a lot about healthy weight management and regular exercise to protect their heart and overall health. I truly enjoy spending time with cats and keeping them mentally and physically active. I can play with them using teaser wands, balls, cat trees, scratching boards, interactive toys, laser pointers, and other enrichment activities depending on each cat’s personality and preferences. I am also happy to follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, litter cleaning, playtime, companionship, or exercise and weight-control plans. I understand that every cat has a different personality, and I always try to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away. :)
Over: I’m an master student in UvA and VU. I normally walk them 3 times a day. Each one takes 25-40 mins. I don’t have any pets in my apartment(a studio without backyard). But I have a lot of time to keep your baby company. Pets are allowed on furniture while in my place unless that’s not ok with you. Over: Sinds ik mijn hond Kaya uit Roemenië heb geadopteerd, heb ik veel trainingen en cursussen gevolgd om hondengedrag en lichaamstaal beter te begrijpen. Ik heb gewerkt als hondenuitlater in Amsterdam en ben gewend om met roedels van vijf honden te lopen. Ik vind het heerlijk om op honden te passen, omdat ze bij mij thuis echt tot rust kunnen komen, maar ook mee kunnen naar het bos voor lange wandelingen en om de natuur te verkennen. Het allerbelangrijkste voor mij is dat alle honden zich op hun gemak voelen. Ik werk momenteel parttime en zal binnenkort bijna fulltime thuis zijn, omdat ik op afstand ga werken, slechts een paar uur per dag. Dat betekent dat ik veel tijd heb om van de honden te genieten en samen naar buiten te gaan. Ik zorg er altijd voor dat de honden hun eigen bench of mand hebben om in te slapen wanneer we thuis zijn. Er zijn altijd snacks beschikbaar, en eventuele dieetwensen kunnen van tevoren aan mij worden doorgegeven. Buiten staat veiligheid voorop. Wanneer een hond voor het eerst bij mij verblijft, gebruik ik een lijn van 5 meter zodat de hond vrijheid heeft, maar we ook goed kunnen oefenen met terugroepen en een sterke band kunnen opbouwen. Het doel is om de honden in een roedelwandeling mee het bos in te nemen, zodat ze daarna thuis kunnen uitrusten en zich voldaan voelen.

Over: I have grown up around dogs. Most clients I have babysat for have dogs and I have one too. I love animals whether they are large, small, walk, hop, fly, swim or slither I have always enjoyed every creation. I think the world is a better place for having people like Jack Hanna, Cesar Milan, Steve Irwin, and there are too many to list! No other animal is used to aid the blind, and help fight wars. Dogs can teach us things and are excellent companions what's not to love? I am not ready to get a new one after loosing my dog to cancer less than a year ago. We had a long journey together and I’m almost ready. In the mean time, I want to watch over others. Thank you for reading Your pets are my job and my top priority. I also freelance part-time for a company in Utrecht that is dog friendly. I am allowed to bring one dog to work and the dogs and clients love it. While I care for your pets in your home or mine I treat it like your most prized possession. Because that is what they are.
Over: Although I don’t have formal experience as a dog sitter, I’ve always been very comfortable around dogs. Many of my friends’ and neighbors’ dogs naturally connect with me, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them.. whether it’s playing, going for walks, or simply keeping them company. I work full-time, but I offer flexibility when it comes to on-site pet care. I am available on weekends and on weekdays after 16:00. I’m happy to coordinate with pet owners to find a schedule that works best for both sides. I live in a small, quiet, and well-kept flat that offers a calm and safe environment for pets. I always ensure the space is clean, secure, and free of hazards, so animals can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay.

Well, I can say that we had many dogs in the family over the years, and I’ve always had a way them. Teaching dogs the basics comes easy to me, and I love learning about owners and their dogs. Operating from intuition and trust, I am predictable and consistent, which makes them feel safe. On another note, I am retired and love to be outside in nature and have adventures together. Almost every day I go for a walk in the Dutch forests or sand dunes. Usually some friends will tag along. Everybody loves cruising the country roads in my Tesla model S with free electricity ;) I am not bragging here, but merely expressing my daily gratitude for what it enables us to do. It has a big trunk with a dog fence and room for one huge, or two midsized dogs :) Now, imagine your dog(s) being tended to every day, and being together outside most of the time, coming home with me in our beautiful house with kind and loving people, where they are massaged and cuddled. About multi-day stays: if you want your dog(s) to have a stable rhythm and a peaceful home at night, then that can be arranged. And if you like the idea of us going on a camping trip, then that would be quite the adventure ;) Did I mention I have Apple AirTags (with my phone number on them) to track the dogs? I could even share the dogs' location so you can see where we are ;) I am retired and available a lot, and very flexible. You can call me any day to see if I am available any of the next days. (For multi day plans please contact me some days in advance.) I will give the dog the attention it needs, and help it to feel at ease. Dogs relax with me very quickly and will get all the cuddles they desire! I usually allow dogs on my couch, but if you want me to train them a certain way (like staying on the floor) that is fine too, of course. At my home we do have stairs, but of course I will carry the dog if needed. We have safety fences for babies and dogs on every floor.

My house has a garden, but it is not fenced, so I only allow outdoor time under supervision or I go for regular walks instead. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and supervised at all times. I enjoy taking dogs on walks and providing them with attention, exercise and care.

Over: I've been caring for cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we had three family dogs and a cat, and by the time I was 21, my family had taken in seven stray dogs. Living with them was one of the happiest periods of my life. I miss them dearly and would love the opportunity to spend time with and care for pets here in Amsterdam as well. I really love being around animals and making sure they feel safe, cosy, and cared for 💛 I’m available for boarding on Fridays and weekends, and they’re also welcome to stay with me during the week. I’m happy to pick them up around Amsterdam Zuid if Uithoorn is a bit far for you, as I work in Amsterdam :) I don’t currently have any animals of my own. I have a big garden and a cute, farm-like neighbourhood with plenty of parks and forest nearby. Dogs and cats stay indoors, and I would take them outside regularly for walks and play.
“Sky is voor het eerst van zijn hele leven uit logeren geweest. Ik vond het heel spannend, maar werden goed begeleid. Ik kreeg elke dag een appje met foto’s en hoe het ging. Sky heeft zich heerlijk vermaakt, ook sky was gewoon op vakantie. Hij was heel relaxed en Cristina en haar man waren heel lief voor sky, hij komt heel graag terug! Over: Saying I’m good with dogs would be an understatement. I’ve had dogs all my life and the only reason I don’t have one myself right now is because I’m studying medicine and I don’t have the time. I’ve worked for a dog walking company for about a year which I absolutely adored, but also couldn’t keep doing due to my studies. I’ve trained my Old German Shepherd dog (who lives with my parents) through a trainer and learned how to train dogs quite well. Through the dog walking company I also got to be a dog sitter multiple times, for multiple days at a time. Most dogs trust me from the moment they meet me, and I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them. What sets me apart from other sitters is that I combine genuine love for dogs with real hands on experience, training knowledge, and a calm, trustworthy presence dogs naturally respond to. Having worked professionally as both a dog walker and a sitter, I’m very comfortable handling responsibility, routine and unexpected situations. Whether it’s a young energetic dog that needs structure and routine, or an older or more sensitive pup that needs patience and reassurance, I naturally adjust to what the dog needs. I also genuinely love spending time with dogs. Even though medicine takes up most of my time right now, dogs have always been the thing that grounds me and brings me joy.
