Over: I've taken care of rabbits, turtles, guinnea pigs, goats, cats, dogs, and birds, chickens, and I enjoy the time I get to spend with them. Unfortunately, due to moving, residency permissions, and a few other reasons, I am currently not a caregiver to any pets. Over: I am a 30 year old Dutch guy currently back in his motherland. I did a housesit through Rover and another platform in Montréal, Canada in January 2019. I want to get back into it now that I have a lovely home in Amsterdam (May 2020). Before that I lived in the subarctic town of Churchill in Manitoba. Dogs have always had a special place in my heart, especially growing up with a labrador. Working with them in Churchill and before that in Canmore, Alberta gives a great feeling. Whatever it is your dog needs, is what I will bring to them. Love, walks, exercise, water, food or potty breaks. You name it, I give it. So I worked with 31 huskies in the north. Before that I lived in the Canadian Rockies, in Canmore, and worked with 200 sled dogs! In the past I have taken care of dogs of some of my friends all over the world. I did housesits in the Netherlands, Myanmar and Thailand. If you want to know more about these housesits, feel free to ask me anything about it. I am a freelancer and work as a spinning instructor and have some hospitality jobs in and around Amsterdam so I have lots of free time. Whatever you wish for your dog at home I will try and provide for. If staying at my place then there is a big living room, a small back yard but also lots of open and green space around my house for dog walks.

During the weekday, I’m a daily walker of 1.5-2 kms I also have a reliable vehicle in case of client or veterinary appointments and or emergency situations. Heeft in een acute gezondheidssituatie (op zondag) adekwaat gehandeld en is met onze pup direct naar het honden ziekenhuis gegaan en heeft de daarop volgende behandeladviezen prima opgevolgd. Ima had het zichtbaar naar haar zin bij Shimaya. Lof en complimenten!”

My animal loving parents ended up with 4 dogs, 3 cats and an iguana due to all the rescues, I never missed animal affection in my life. I can easily say I feel my best when around animals, it doesn’t change whether they are mine or just in my care. I want to offer a fun, active and loving experience for your furry family and myself, as I would lie if I said I didn’t enjoy it as much as the animals do!
