Over: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a very pet-loving family where we always had at least three dogs, sometimes four, alongside rabbits, fish, and other pets. Over the years I’ve lived with and cared for a wide variety of different breeds, including Bernese Mountain Dogs, Newfoundlands, a Cocker Spaniel mix, a Maltese Poodle, and a Boerboel. Having had both giant breeds and smaller dogs as pets has really taught me how different every dog is and how important it is to adapt to their individual personality, energy level, and needs. I regularly took our three Bernese Mountain Dogs on hikes in the mountains and on adventures to forests and lakes, while our smaller dogs much preferred a relaxing walk on the beach or park. I now work from home full-time, with no pets currently, and live just a short walk from Vondelpark, which means I have the flexibility to give plenty of attention, walks and playtime throughout the day. Over: I moved here recently here with my partner and I am taking a break from nursing to pursue other things! I love dogs which is why I have my own dog named Andie, who I am home with most days. We welcome dogs into our home, and your dog can have a little playdate! I have experience with separation anxiety, and I will honor whatever care plan that you may have in place. I can administer medications and make sure your dog feels welcome and secure. I will provide as many updates you like on your pup because I know what it’s like to feel anxious about not being around them. My home is open to your fur baby! I am free most days and can walk your dog whatever their schedule is. I am very flexible with stays at my home or at yours any day of the week. In my home, I let them sniff the area first to get the lay of the land. This will give them space to get comfortable surroundings and understand that it is a safe space for them. Since my dog is also home with me, I prefer they meet in neutral territory for a meet & greet to ensure that it is a good match, however I’ve had other dogs come over without the need for one, and it has been okay. I just like to take the extra precaution to give both of us piece of mind. At the client’s home, I’ll follow yours and your dog’s routine. I’ll initially watch them closely to assess how they interact in their home. I do this for my own understanding so I can best read their needs.
Over: Saying I’m good with dogs would be an understatement. I’ve had dogs all my life and the only reason I don’t have one myself right now is because I’m studying medicine and I don’t have the time. I’ve worked for a dog walking company for about a year which I absolutely adored, but also couldn’t keep doing due to my studies. I’ve trained my Old German Shepherd dog (who lives with my parents) through a trainer and learned how to train dogs quite well. Through the dog walking company I also got to be a dog sitter multiple times, for multiple days at a time. Over: I grew up with pets (dogs and rodents) and have taken care of pets practically my whole life. 5 years ago, I took a wonderful boy called Charlie home from the shelter (you can see him in all of my pictures). He was already a bit older, and I was lucky to have him by my side for 4.5 years until he sadly passed away last October. I have a big heart for animals, and therefore miss taking care of a hairy friend! I have experience with taking care of both small and larger dogs, as well as senior dogs and dogs with medical needs. I recently started a PhD and am therefore not home during work days (mo-fr). This is why I currently am not in the position of adopting a dog myself, but would love to take care of dogs on the weekends when I am home. When taking care of a dog I adjust my routine to meet the needs of the dog. I try to suit the needs of the animal and respect their boundaries. If they prefer to be lazy or alone, I give them space, if they prefer interaction and play, I give them attention. I feed them and walk them as agreed with the owner.
Over: I grew up as a teenager with a golden retriever and every time I go back to Paris at my dad's, I happily take over the full routine: feeding, walking, playing, brushing hair and teeth… I walk very consistently on a daily basis, rain or shine, so a dog who wants/needs long walks has found the right sitter. Over: I love dogs more than humans, which is honestly why you want me watching yours. I don't treat this like a job or a chore I just like hanging out with them. On nice days, expect me to walk your dog to the park for well over an hour just to let them run around and explore. I usually handle walks in the mornings or early afternoons, but let me know what you need and we can make it work. Over: Al van kinds af aan een grote voorliefde gehad voor honden maar helaas geen tijd om full-time aandacht te geven aan een gezellige viervoeter. Ik werk fulltime, maar houd mijn weekenden graag vrij en heb daardoor vaak tijd in de weekenden om overdag op te passen. Ik woon naast het bos en ben door weer en wind graag veel buiten. Zelf heb ik een appartement op de begane grond met een klein (niet omheind) terras. Er is een grote binnentuin met veel gras om op te spelen en woon ik naast het Amsterdamse bos, dus veel groen in de omgeving. Mijn huis is niet ingesteld op huisdieren, maar ik ben graag op pad maar sta ook zeker open voor een wat rustiger hondje die vooral veel thuis wil zijn.

Over: Mijn vriend is opgegroeid met een hond en heeft dus veel ervaring met hondengedrag. Zelf ben ik opgegroeid met heel veel huisdieren én liet ik vroeger altijd alle honden uit de straat uit! We zijn allebei échte dierenliefhebbers. We houden allebei enorm van wandelen in het bos, dus we zijn altijd wel in voor een goede wandeling met jouw hond! En omdat we met z'n tweeën zijn, krijgt je hond bij ons sowieso alle aandacht en knuffels die hij verdient. Hoewel we allebei fulltime werken, werken we 2 tot 3 dagen per week vanuit huis. Hierdoor hebben we superveel flexibiliteit om onze dag helemaal om jouw hond heen te plannen! Mocht het een keer nodig zijn, dan mag de hond zelfs met ons mee naar kantoor. We zijn allebei erg actief en wonen direct aan het park. Tussen het werken door kunnen we dus heel gemakkelijk even naar buiten voor een heerlijke, actieve wandeling! We wonen direct aan het park, dus we stappen zo het groen in zonder langs drukke wegen te hoeven lopen. Tijdens het wandelen houden we honden voor de veiligheid altijd netjes aan de lijn. Om je een gerust gevoel te geven, sturen we gedurende de dag gezellig foto's en updates. Ook plannen we vooraf altijd een vrijblijvende Meet & Greet. Zo kunnen we rustig bespreken wat jouw hond gewend is qua ritme en regels, en stemmen we alles perfect af!

She agreed to watch my dog less than 12 hours in advance, and then agreed to meet me at the train station instead of me dropping off the dog at her place, which shows how kind and thoughtful and helpful she is!!! The weekend that my dog spent at her place was amazing too. I got updates 5+ times per week, with pictures of my dog, my dog was walked for multiple hours a day, she was allowed everywhere in the house; and Lada was veryyyy attentive to her needs and always checked in with me on what she could do extra. She even invited me for tea after the dog stay. I genuinely couldn’t recommend her more, i’d trust her to watch my dog anytime!”
Over: Apart from growing up with a feisty jack russel and now owning and training an easy going toller, I’ve volunteered at an animal shelter and an assistance dog school for the last 10 years. I work from home regularly and effortlessly combine that with taking car of my own dog, leaving time to add another dog into the mix either in our home or by walking/visiting your dog at their home. I have a very friendly and easy going toller that can function as a play or sleep buddy. Your dog is welcome to stay at our place, where there is also enough space for the dogs to hang our separately from each other. If I visit or walk your dog I can bring my own dog, but obviously can also give your dog some one on one quality time
