Over: Saying I’m good with dogs would be an understatement. I’ve had dogs all my life and the only reason I don’t have one myself right now is because I’m studying medicine and I don’t have the time. I’ve worked for a dog walking company for about a year which I absolutely adored, but also couldn’t keep doing due to my studies. I’ve trained my Old German Shepherd dog (who lives with my parents) through a trainer and learned how to train dogs quite well. Through the dog walking company I also got to be a dog sitter multiple times, for multiple days at a time. Over: We recently moved to Amsterdam from Minneapolis, USA. I am a dog lover for sure. Today I have an 8 month Yorkie who loves playing with other puppies. I enjoy teaching her new tricks and taking her for walks for her to explore the world. Would love to take care of another dog as it would make me and my puppy happy. I take care of my own dog, therefore taking care of another dog will be quite easy. I do frequent bathroom breaks and walks to help with energy. Ik werk fulltime, maar houd mijn weekenden graag vrij en heb daardoor vaak tijd in de weekenden om overdag op te passen. Ik woon naast het bos en ben door weer en wind graag veel buiten. Zelf heb ik een appartement op de begane grond met een klein (niet omheind) terras. Er is een grote binnentuin met veel gras om op te spelen en woon ik naast het Amsterdamse bos, dus veel groen in de omgeving. Mijn huis is niet ingesteld op huisdieren, maar ik ben graag op pad maar sta ook zeker open voor een wat rustiger hondje die vooral veel thuis wil zijn.

I have always had cats in my life, as well as dogs of all sizes (from a Chihuahua, to a Collie). My mom is a veterinarian so I know a thing or two about caring for animals. I also worked in her clinic for a bit, so I’m good at handling pets, bottle feeding, administering pills and shots, and noticing when something is wrong. I have one cat currently, who is 17 years old that I rescued as a kitten. He has kidney problems now, so I give him pills and subcutaneous fluids daily. I also used to volunteer at a feral cat shelter in Los Angeles. I am great at managing even the most stressed and aggressive cats, these don’t scare me at all. I am excited to meet your furry friend! I send lots of pictures because I know how much that means to me when my own baby is being cared for. I like to do a meet and greet (free of cost) beforehand to get to know your individual needs. My work schedule is irregular, since I work at a restaurant. Typically I am available before noon on the weekends, and until 3:30 on weekdays for pet care. I listen to what your pet tells me. If your kitty wants to cuddle the entire time, I cuddle. If she wants to sit in her cubby and hide, I can sit nearby and be a calming presence. I like to play calming music sometimes on my phone as well, which always helps my cat calm down. If your pet has a favorite genre of song, I am happy to play that!

Over: Saying I’m good with dogs would be an understatement. I’ve had dogs all my life and the only reason I don’t have one myself right now is because I’m studying medicine and I don’t have the time. I’ve worked for a dog walking company for about a year which I absolutely adored, but also couldn’t keep doing due to my studies. I’ve trained my Old German Shepherd dog (who lives with my parents) through a trainer and learned how to train dogs quite well. Over: I've been caring for cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we had three family dogs and a cat, and by the time I was 21, my family had taken in seven stray dogs. Living with them was one of the happiest periods of my life. I miss them dearly and would love the opportunity to spend time with and care for pets here in Amsterdam as well. I really love being around animals and making sure they feel safe, cosy, and cared for 💛 I’m available for boarding on Fridays and weekends, and they’re also welcome to stay with me during the week. Over: My pug was one of my best friends, but unfortunately she's no longer with us and I miss having a furry friend around. I have lots of experience with the things that come with being a "smush face" breed like reverse sneezing etc. But am equally capable of taking care of other breeds as well, most recently I took care of a beagle and golden retriever. I enjoyed it so much that I thought I would make a profile here and see if I could do it more often. :) I typically work from home so I can keep your pooch company and vice versa throughout the day. I go to dance classes every Tuesday and Thursday evening, so if they're staying overnight I may leave them on their own for a few hours at a time. Similarly on the weekends, there are some days I'm mostly hanging at home and others where I might be out for short periods of time :) I don't have any pets of my own so my full attention will be on taking care of yours when they are with me :)

The weekend that my dog spent at her place was amazing too. I got updates 5+ times per week, with pictures of my dog, my dog was walked for multiple hours a day, she was allowed everywhere in the house; and Lada was veryyyy attentive to her needs and always checked in with me on what she could do extra. She even invited me for tea after the dog stay. I genuinely couldn’t recommend her more, i’d trust her to watch my dog anytime!”
