Over: Having raised my own dogs, and lovingly walking my neighbors' dogs have always been my biggest joy. I will care for your furry family member with the exact same devotion, warmth, and gentle attention I give to my own Since I manage my property back in Barcelona, my days are completely flexible. In my free time, I love dancing, exploring the city, and cooking cozy meals at home. Your pet will have my full attention and plenty of warm, peaceful company Located in peaceful IJburg, my apartment offers beautiful harbor views. The area is a quiet residential haven with plenty of dedicated dog parks nearby, ensuring your pet will enjoy both a cozy home and wonderful walks

Over: I am a 26-year-old Dutch guy with a great passion for dogs. Dogs have played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and have had four in total, two of which still live with my parents. Because of this, I have gained a lot of experience with different personalities, including more challenging and high-energy dogs. As a result, I know how to interact with dogs in a calm, clear, and confident way. I am also very good at reading canine communication, such as body language, posture, and behavior, which allows me to prevent escalation and step in when necessary. At the moment, I am exploring what I want to do in the future, and it is clear to me that it will involve dogs in some way, such as training or guidance. In the meantime, I have the time and flexibility to spend a lot of time with dogs, and there is honestly nothing I enjoy more. Being a dog sitter is therefore the perfect way for me to do something I genuinely love while also gaining even more experience and getting to know different dogs. To me, dogs are much more than just pets. I truly enjoy spending time with them and giving them the attention they deserve. I personally love going on walks, so taking a dog along is not only enjoyable company for me, but also a great balance where both the dog and I benefit from spending time outdoors. I find it very important that a dog feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which is why I always pay close attention to the individual character and needs of each dog. I actually enjoy working with more challenging or highly sensitive dogs as well. I stay calm, provide clear structure, and take the time to build trust so the dog knows what to expect. During walks, I pay close attention to the surroundings, safety, and the dog’s own signals. Owners can expect me to be responsible, reliable, and genuinely involved, and to treat their dog with patience, attention, and care. Clear communication is also very important to me, so owners always know how things are going. I read a dog’s emotional state by paying attention to the eyes, posture, energy level, and how the dog positions itself around other dogs. I also look for signs of confidence, stress, or dominance during interactions, such as the way a dog approaches, avoids, or lies down in social situations. This allows me to adapt my approach so that every dog feels safe and understood. During walks, I enjoy visiting natural environments such as parks or green areas where the dog can relax, explore, and comfortably do its business. I focus on calm, structured walks where the dog receives both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident handling dogs on a leash and can maintain good control in different situations. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I know how to apply reliable recall and how to keep the dog safe and engaged. I am also experienced in walking two dogs at the same time, so that is absolutely no problem for me. For a regular walk, you can expect me to walk with the dog for at least 40 minutes. Something else that may be reassuring for owners to know is that I am currently looking into part-time (16-hour) remote work that can be done fully independently. This means I am not tied to an office or stuck in long meetings, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the dog and the house. I am definitely not someone who is busy working all day and only quickly takes the dog out in between tasks — caring for the dog is genuinely my main priority. I may occasionally handle some light administrative work during the day, but aside from that, I am mainly present, flexible, and attentive. Because of this, I can keep a close eye on both the dog and the home, and owners can trust that everything will be calm, safe, and well taken care of. What I am currently in between jobs and taking the time to explore what I want to do long-term. One thing that is very clear to me is that I want my future to involve dogs in some way, whether that becomes dog training, behavioral guidance, or something similar. I am still figuring out exactly how I want to shape that path, but I think it is great that I can already gain valuable hands-on experience by caring for and spending time with different dogs through dog sitting and walking. At the moment, I have a flexible schedule and am mainly available during weekdays from late morning until the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, Rover does not offer an exact option for this, but in practice I am generally available between 10 AM and 5 PM to look after your dog at home or take your dog out for walks. Since I personally love walking as well, owners can expect me to take dogs on long, enjoyable walks with plenty of attention and care. I am also exploring the possibility of starting a part-time remote job later this summer for around 16 hours per week. The type of work I am looking at would be fully home-based, flexible, and low-pressure, without meetings or appointments that would require me to leave the house. Because of that, I would still have more than enough time, attention, and flexibility to properly care for dogs throughout the day. The dog’s wellbeing, attention, and routine would always remain my main priority while I am looking after them. Weekends can be a bit more difficult for me, although I may still be available depending on the situation, so you are always welcome to send me a message to check availability I currently live in an apartment complex and do not have a private garden, which means fulltime dog boarding at my home can be a bit more limited depending on the dog and the situation. However, if your dog only needs to stay somewhere for a few hours for example, to bridge part of the day rather than staying an entire day or overnight that is absolutely possible at my place. My apartment is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a dog for shorter periods of time. I already do this regularly with one of my parents’ dogs to help them out from time to time, so I am experienced in having dogs stay with me in a calm and comfortable environment. Of course, this is always coordinated properly, which means that if I am caring for your dog, there will not unexpectedly be another dog present unless discussed beforehand. I also genuinely enjoy being outdoors and spending active, quality time with dogs. With my own family dogs, I love doing simple things like playing with a tennis ball or a toy, practicing little tricks, going for walks, relaxing outside together, cuddling, and giving them attention. For me, it is really the small moments and connection with a dog that make it enjoyable, and spending time with dogs genuinely gives me a lot of energy and happiness. One important thing to mention is that Rover sometimes requires me to select fixed availability options that do not fully reflect how flexible I actually am. Because of that, it is possible that I may not always appear in certain search results. In reality, my availability is often much more flexible and depends a bit on the specific day and situation. So please feel free to send me a message, even if my profile settings seem limited I am usually more flexible than the Rover options may suggest.
Over: I recently moved away from home, and I really miss my dog! I love walking her, and was hoping to find a new friend to walk. I’ve previously also walked dogs in my other neighborhood:) My routine is quite diverse under the week, so it’s dependent on the day! However I am almost always free to walk on the weekends!! I sadly can’t have animals in my home, however I would be willing to talk about offering pet sitting, depending on when and how long :)
Over: I’ve taken care of dogs since being a kid. Since 10 years more seriously taking care of dogs within and outside family/friends circle. So have experience with different kind of dogs. During the day I am studying full time. So taking care of pets would be fitting for me more in the evenings and weekends than during weekdays. That depends on the type of dog of course. Take the dogs out for walks to get enough movement, but also make sure to have some play time in between and if necessary grooming.
“Brian is aluways on time and is doing really well with my 2 big dogs. They aluways come back happy and relaxed. Im very grateful to have fo8nd such a reliable kind person to help with my furry crew.”

Over: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments for over 5 years, including running my own dog walking and sitting service in Los Angeles and working with clients in Sweden. I also volunteered for several years at an animal shelter, where I gained experience with a wide range of behaviors, including anxious and high-energy dogs. What sets me apart is my calm, attentive approach. I’m very intuitive with animals and focus on creating a structured, safe, and relaxed environment so they feel secure and well cared for. I’m comfortable with long walks, maintaining routines, basic training reinforcement, and caring for both puppies and senior dogs. I currently work a structured schedule, which allows me to dedicate focused, quality time to pet care throughout the week. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits on weekdays, especially in the afternoons and evenings, as well as more flexible availability on weekends. I enjoy incorporating pet care into my daily routine, whether that’s going for long walks, spending time playing, or simply keeping a pet company. I’m reliable, communicative, and committed to maintaining your pet’s routine as closely as possible. When caring for pets, my priority is always safety, consistency, and trust. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free for them. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, clean, and attentive, making sure your pet is comfortable in their own environment. I’m mindful during walks, avoid unsafe situations, and keep a close eye on behavior and energy levels. I provide regular updates so you feel at ease while you’re away, and I always aim to create a calm, positive experience for both pets and owners.
Over: I’m a German au pair currently living in Amsterdam, taking care of two children during the week. Outside of those hours, I have a lot of flexibility and would love to spend my time pet-sitting—both to save up for university and because I genuinely love animals. Growing up, my family couldn’t have dogs or cats due to my dad’s allergy to animal dander, but I did have pets such as budgies. This taught me responsibility and daily animal care from a young age and made me appreciate every opportunity I now have to spend time with animals. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I regularly look after my boyfriend’s dog when his family is away, I feed and care for my neighbor’s cat during holidays, and I’ve often gone on walks with dogs belonging to family friends. I’m comfortable with routines, walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets calm, loving attention. I’m responsible, patient, and affectionate, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. During the week, I work as an au pair from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:00–8:00 PM. This gives me a large free time window late in the morning and early afternoon, ideal for dog walks, feeding cats, or short check-in visits. I’m also available early mornings and in the evenings when needed. On weekends, I’m fully flexible and available for longer stays or extended pet care. I’m a calm, patient, and empathetic person who helps pets feel safe and comfortable. I respect routines, boundaries, and individual needs, and I take my responsibility as a pet sitter very seriously. My goal is to provide a secure, calm, and stress-free environment where your pet feels well cared for while you’re away.
Over: Hej! I'm Maura. I'm a longtime pet lover and part-time pet caretaker. I've recently relocated to Amsterdam Noord from the USA and looking to grow my care community. I'd be happy to lend a hand to local pet owners with daily walks, drop-ins, overnight care and of course lots of cuddles :) I'm a remote graphic designer which allows for me to work at home. I have full-time availability for pet caretaking which includes morning-evening, weekends and holiday care. I live solo in a studio with a fenced yard which allows for your pup/s to explore outside and for quick potty breaks. Your pup/s will have the space to themselves - I don't own other animals.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners I met in the city and at nearby nature spots. A few years later and I am completing my Master's degree at Utrecht University, whilst working as a pack leader at a large doggy day care in Amsterdam. Do I sound like I could be the right fit for your pet? Please get in touch and we can arrange a meeting! (Multiple references available upon request). I am finishing up my MA thesis at Utrecht University, often working from home which is very compatible with pet care. I also am working a lot as a dog walker for an Utrecht based company. So even on working days I can easily bring a dog that I am looking after with me for the afternoon walk, which is a great chance for some group socialisation. I have my own apartment. Only two minutes walk from my studio is lots of nature and forests, as well as a large area specifically for dogs to walk both on and off the lead. Also have access to large farmlands.
Over: I have always been surrounded by dogs growing up and am an absolute lover of all fury friends! I previously was a dog foster carer in Australia for the past year and a half. I currently work part-time at a restaurant, spendings most days in and around local parks in the area, running, reading and painting. I live right next to Sarphatipark and have a very active lifestyle, so your dog will get plenty of walks and attention. We have a very secure pet friendly home. I have over ten years experience house-sitting and dog-sitting and can provide references if needed.
