Over: I moved here recently here with my partner and I am taking a break from nursing to pursue other things! I love dogs which is why I have my own dog named Andie, who I am home with most days. We welcome dogs into our home, and your dog can have a little playdate! I have experience with separation anxiety, and I will honor whatever care plan that you may have in place. I can administer medications and make sure your dog feels welcome and secure. I will provide as many updates you like on your pup because I know what it’s like to feel anxious about not being around them. My home is open to your fur baby! I am free most days and can walk your dog whatever their schedule is. I am very flexible with stays at my home or at yours any day of the week. In my home, I let them sniff the area first to get the lay of the land. This will give them space to get comfortable surroundings and understand that it is a safe space for them. Since my dog is also home with me, I prefer they meet in neutral territory for a meet & greet to ensure that it is a good match, however I’ve had other dogs come over without the need for one, and it has been okay. I just like to take the extra precaution to give both of us piece of mind. At the client’s home, I’ll follow yours and your dog’s routine. I’ll initially watch them closely to assess how they interact in their home. I do this for my own understanding so I can best read their needs.

I now share my home with Waffles, a friendly toy poodle, so your dog will have a gentle companion. I work from home full time, so I’m always around and able to give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day. We typically do 1 to 3 walks daily, with potty breaks every 2 to 4 hours as needed. He was already a bit older, and I was lucky to have him by my side for 4.5 years until he sadly passed away last October. I have a big heart for animals, and therefore miss taking care of a hairy friend! I have experience with taking care of both small and larger dogs, as well as senior dogs and dogs with medical needs. I recently started a PhD and am therefore not home during work days (mo-fr). This is why I currently am not in the position of adopting a dog myself, but would love to take care of dogs on the weekends when I am home. When taking care of a dog I adjust my routine to meet the needs of the dog. I try to suit the needs of the animal and respect their boundaries. If they prefer to be lazy or alone, I give them space, if they prefer interaction and play, I give them attention. I feed them and walk them as agreed with the owner.

Je suis assez flexible. Je vis dans une maison de 110m2 avec 2 étages supérieurs, qui offre des multitudes de d'options et de recoins pour se reposer. Il y a un jardin d'environ 40m2 avec de l'herbe, cloturé donc les chiens ne peuvent pas en sortir. (Si vous préferez que je garde votre animal a l'intérieur c'est aussi possible). J'ai un couffin pour animaux, une fontaine a eau et un distributeur de croquette. Juste derriere chez moi, il y a un tres grand parc arboré sans voitures, et un acces a une plage pour chien a 10/15 minutes a pied. Notez que nous vivons avec un chat de 16 ans (ok chiens et chats) ainsi que d'un enfant de 3 ans (ok chiens et chats).

Over: Ik ben een echte dierenliefhebber! Helaas kan ik momenteel zelf niet adopteren omdat ik te veel reis. Dat vind ik ontzettend jammer, dus daarom lijkt het me heel leuk om af en toe op iemand anders z’n hondje te passen! Van huis uit heb ik altijd dieren gehad, waaronder een Duitse herder, een rottweiler en een Maltezer. Daardoor ben ik gewend aan verschillende karakters en behoeften. Daarnaast pas ik regelmatig op de hond van mijn zus, een rescue uit Spanje. Ik werk voor mezelf vanuit huis, waardoor ik veel aanwezig ben. Dat maakt mijn huis ook geschikt voor hondjes die niet zo graag lang alleen zijn. Ik houd zowel van korte als lange wandelingen en neem honden, afhankelijk van hun karakter, graag mee op pad. Natuurlijk is er thuis ook genoeg tijd om te spelen, knuffelen of gewoon lekker te ontspannen. Daarnaast heb ik een fijn tuintje waar honden lekker kunnen relaxen als het mooi weer is. Mensen omschrijven mij als rustig, warm en zorgzaam. Wat je van mij kunt verwachten? Veel liefde en aandacht voor je hond, regelmatige updates en foto’s, en de geruststelling dat je hond in goede handen is. Ik plan vooraf altijd graag even een kennismaking in, zodat we kunnen kijken of er een goede match is. Ik woon op 40 m² met een tuin. Voor hele grote honden is mijn woning daardoor waarschijnlijk minder geschikt. Goed om te weten: omdat ik op de begane grond woon, hoor je soms geluiden uit het trappenhuis. Daarom is mijn woning minder geschikt voor honden die erg waaks zijn of snel aanslaan bij geluiden. Voor vragen mag je altijd contact opnemen! 🐾 Ik werk voor mezelf vanuit huis en ben daardoor veel aanwezig. Huisdieren zijn dus zelden lang alleen. Mijn planning is flexibel en ik ben over het algemeen veel thuis, waardoor er genoeg tijd is voor wandelingen, speeltijd, rustmomenten en verzorging. Overdag stuur ik ook graag af en toe een update of foto, zodat je weet hoe het met je dier gaat. Ik woon op de begane grond aan een rustige, autovrije straat en heb tevens een volledig omheind tuintje waar honden lekker kunnen relaxen. Ik heb zelf geen honden of katten, waardoor jouw dier alle aandacht krijgt. Daarnaast is er veel groen in de buurt en zijn er verschillende parken op loopafstand.

I find it very important that a dog feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which is why I always pay close attention to the individual character and needs of each dog. I actually enjoy working with more challenging or highly sensitive dogs as well. I stay calm, provide clear structure, and take the time to build trust so the dog knows what to expect. During walks, I pay close attention to the surroundings, safety, and the dog’s own signals. Owners can expect me to be responsible, reliable, and genuinely involved, and to treat their dog with patience, attention, and care. Clear communication is also very important to me, so owners always know how things are going. I read a dog’s emotional state by paying attention to the eyes, posture, energy level, and how the dog positions itself around other dogs. I also look for signs of confidence, stress, or dominance during interactions, such as the way a dog approaches, avoids, or lies down in social situations. This allows me to adapt my approach so that every dog feels safe and understood. During walks, I enjoy visiting natural environments such as parks or green areas where the dog can relax, explore, and comfortably do its business. I focus on calm, structured walks where the dog receives both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident handling dogs on a leash and can maintain good control in different situations. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I know how to apply reliable recall and how to keep the dog safe and engaged. I am also experienced in walking two dogs at the same time, so that is absolutely no problem for me. For a regular walk, you can expect me to walk with the dog for at least 40 minutes. Something else that may be reassuring for owners to know is that I am currently looking into part-time (16-hour) remote work that can be done fully independently. This means I am not tied to an office or stuck in long meetings, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the dog and the house. I am definitely not someone who is busy working all day and only quickly takes the dog out in between tasks — caring for the dog is genuinely my main priority. I may occasionally handle some light administrative work during the day, but aside from that, I am mainly present, flexible, and attentive. Because of this, I can keep a close eye on both the dog and the home, and owners can trust that everything will be calm, safe, and well taken care of. What I am currently in between jobs and taking the time to explore what I want to do long-term. One thing that is very clear to me is that I want my future to involve dogs in some way, whether that becomes dog training, behavioral guidance, or something similar. I am still figuring out exactly how I want to shape that path, but I think it is great that I can already gain valuable hands-on experience by caring for and spending time with different dogs through dog sitting and walking. At the moment, I have a flexible schedule and am mainly available during weekdays from late morning until the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, Rover does not offer an exact option for this, but in practice I am generally available between 10 AM and 5 PM to look after your dog at home or take your dog out for walks. Since I personally love walking as well, owners can expect me to take dogs on long, enjoyable walks with plenty of attention and care. I am also exploring the possibility of starting a part-time remote job later this summer for around 16 hours per week. The type of work I am looking at would be fully home-based, flexible, and low-pressure, without meetings or appointments that would require me to leave the house. Because of that, I would still have more than enough time, attention, and flexibility to properly care for dogs throughout the day. The dog’s wellbeing, attention, and routine would always remain my main priority while I am looking after them. Weekends can be a bit more difficult for me, although I may still be available depending on the situation, so you are always welcome to send me a message to check availability I currently live in an apartment complex and do not have a private garden, which means fulltime dog boarding at my home can be a bit more limited depending on the dog and the situation. However, if your dog only needs to stay somewhere for a few hours for example, to bridge part of the day rather than staying an entire day or overnight that is absolutely possible at my place. My apartment is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a dog for shorter periods of time. I already do this regularly with one of my parents’ dogs to help them out from time to time, so I am experienced in having dogs stay with me in a calm and comfortable environment. Of course, this is always coordinated properly, which means that if I am caring for your dog, there will not unexpectedly be another dog present unless discussed beforehand. I also genuinely enjoy being outdoors and spending active, quality time with dogs. With my own family dogs, I love doing simple things like playing with a tennis ball or a toy, practicing little tricks, going for walks, relaxing outside together, cuddling, and giving them attention. For me, it is really the small moments and connection with a dog that make it enjoyable, and spending time with dogs genuinely gives me a lot of energy and happiness. One important thing to mention is that Rover sometimes requires me to select fixed availability options that do not fully reflect how flexible I actually am. Because of that, it is possible that I may not always appear in certain search results. In reality, my availability is often much more flexible and depends a bit on the specific day and situation. So please feel free to send me a message, even if my profile settings seem limited I am usually more flexible than the Rover options may suggest.

Starting with my first dog which was an energetic King Charles spaniel to my now two dogs, one a very hyper Labrador and the other a very high energy golden retriever, Australian shepherd cross. Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed...
