“My dog Muffin had an amazing time with Cristina and Guillaume! It was clear when I picked him up he was relaxed and happy! They're great sitters, completely trustworthy, responsible, and exceptionally good with Muffin! During my time away they kept me updated about Muffin with pics and videos every day, they also played with him and gave him the attention he needed! I felt very relaxed to enjoy my holidays knowing Muffin was in good hands! I look forward to book with them again in the future! Thank you Cristina and Guillaume for keeping Muffin happy while I was away! :)”

“Celine and her partner were absolutely amazing with our dog. It was our first time having her stay somewhere other than home since we adopted her a year ago, and Celine kept us updated the whole time, and I could tell our dog was super happy with all the care, attention, and outings. Thanks so much to Celine for all her care and we’d love to have our pup stay with her again,”

“Olivia and Caleb went above and beyond to be the best sitters for Casper. Given his senior age, Casper has many struggles but they took great care of him and made sure he was as comfortable as possible. They were so kind to Casper and I’m very grateful for this. They would be my first recommendation for anyone who needs a sitter!”

“Maria looked after Nelson for the weekend and kept me updated the entire time. Whenever I’m going on holidays or a short break she is my go-to choice. Nelson really likes her and I feel comfortable knowing she’ll treat him like her own.”

“Shaima, is a very sweet and a caring animal lover. She helped calm down our dog Ollie, during our absence, and took great care of him. She also kept us updated with pictures. Highly recommend her. You can trust her, to care for your fur babies.”

Over: I moved here recently here with my partner and I am taking a break from nursing to pursue other things! I love dogs which is why I have my own dog named Andie, who I am home with most days. We welcome dogs into our home, and your dog can have a little playdate! I have experience with separation anxiety, and I will honor whatever care plan that you may have in place. I can administer medications and make sure your dog feels welcome and secure. I will provide as many updates you like on your pup because I know what it’s like to feel anxious about not being around them. My home is open to your fur baby! I am free most days and can walk your dog whatever their schedule is. I am very flexible with stays at my home or at yours any day of the week. In my home, I let them sniff the area first to get the lay of the land. This will give them space to get comfortable surroundings and understand that it is a safe space for them. Since my dog is also home with me, I prefer they meet in neutral territory for a meet & greet to ensure that it is a good match, however I’ve had other dogs come over without the need for one, and it has been okay. I just like to take the extra precaution to give both of us piece of mind. At the client’s home, I’ll follow yours and your dog’s routine. I’ll initially watch them closely to assess how they interact in their home. I do this for my own understanding so I can best read their needs.
“Maggie always loves visiting Marlies! Plenty of time for relaxing as well as great adventures and trips! Couldn’t recommend Marlies more highly. Your dog will be in great and loving hands with her.”

Over: Raised with dogs my whole life, I offer reliable pet sitting, fun walks, and endless affection. Your furry friend will always feel safe and loved! Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule! I currently work three days a week until 5:00 PM, which leaves me with plenty of open time. During the evenings, I am highly flexible, I am available to do overnight stays at the owner's house to look after the dog, or I can easily bring the dog back to my own home to take care of them. When caring for pets in my own home, your dog will be welcomed into a very warm and loving environment. I live with 3 flatmates who absolutely love dogs as well, so there will always be plenty of affection, attention, and extra hands to make sure your pet feels right at home. Whether I am pet-sitting at my place or staying overnight at your client’s home, my priority is always maintaining the animal's usual routine. This includes sticking to their regular feeding schedules, managing their exercise needs with plenty of walks, and ensuring they feel safe, secure, and comfortable in their surroundings.
“Noodle was a bit restless and anxious when we left, but Sofia took her for a long walk which made Noodle relaxed and totally at ease. Noodle feels very comfortable with Sofia. Thank you Sofia for taking such good care of Noodle!”

“Megha was a great sitter for Keesje. She kept us updated with pictures and videos, and took great care of her. We would happily leave Keesje with her again-and I'm sure Keesje would be happy to stay!”

“Super happy that I found Anushka. She took really good care of my dog while I was on a work trip. My dog can be quite sensitive to changes and a bit worried when I leave her with new ppl but Anushka was patient with her and gave me updates, sent pictures and told me about how she was settling in. Felt very safe to leave her there. Will def book again when something’s come up.”

“I couldn't have asked for a better dogsitter! Paula and Josip were incredibly caring, patient, and had such a calm, reassuring energy that made both me and my dog feel at ease. It's obvious they genuinely love dogs and understand how to make them feel safe and comfortable. They kept me updated, took wonderful care of cloud, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone kind, experienced and reliable.”
“Anna was such a lovely person and treated our cat Scourge with love, care and respect. We received updates, photos and videos regularly. Overall, she made sure that not only we had a nice vacation, but our cat as well! :)”

Over: With years of experience caring for pets, I provide personalized and attentive services to meet each pet's unique needs (dogs, cats, rabbits). Whether it's daily walks, feeding, playtime, or training, I ensure every pet feels loved, secure, and happy. Your furry friend will be in great hands! I live right by the Amstel River, so it's perfect for walks with your pet. I work remotely, so I have plenty of time to take care of your animal and go on walks during the week and weekends. I’m pretty active myself, so your pet will get lots of love and exercise! With me, pets are treated like part of the family. They have access to cozy spaces and outdoor play areas, and plenty of attention and affection. I also follow any specific care instructions provided by the owners to ensure their pets feel comfortable and well-cared.
“Carolina was great with Sebas! He can be very anxious which gives problems with going out but she was very patient and understanding. She obviously cares and has a lot of experience. Sebas was here for more then 2 weeks and all went well; he was happy and relaxed. She and her boyfriend are really nice and good people; we will definitely book again!”

“Agata and Sebastian took wonderful care of Fuzzy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They kept us updated regularly with lovely messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from the updates that Fuzzy was comfortable, happy, and was getting lots of love and affection. They were very attentive to his needs, especially when he was not eating normally at first, and even went the extra mile to help him feel comfortable. We really appreciated how caring, responsible, and thoughtful they were throughout. Fuzzy came back relaxed and happy, which says everything. We would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for kind and reliable sitters.”

“Best sitter anyone can ask for: our cats adore her and vice-versa! Angie is the most reliable, kind and respectful person. She makes sure not only to feed/clean our pets but also to play and spend quality time with them. And she even takes care of our flat and plants. Highly recommended :)”

“Kay-Leigh took great care of our cat while we were out of the country. She sent us pics of him multiple times per day and won him over with patience. She even vacuumed the flat before our return as our car sheds a lot, which was super appreciated from our side. We totally recommend her and we’ll for sure rely on her for future times! ”

“Saba is the best!!!! She is sweet, caring and you can rely on her. Communication is clear and quick. She takes very good care of cats, and we trusted our cat Colette to the care of Saba. We didn't regret it. While we were away Saba sends us pictures and video's from Colette and Colette looked happy, also when we came home again. No stress for us and no stress for our Colette. We highly recommend Saba!”

Over: I’ve had contact with cats since childhood, as my family always had pets. My understanding of cat behavior grew even more when I lived with two cats during university, and today I have two lovely cats of my own. I also worked as a pet sitter in Brazil for a few months before moving abroad. I’m comfortable caring for cats with different personalities and routines, and I always make sure they feel safe, calm, and well cared for.

Over: I also have experience caring for cats with different personalities, from very social to more independent or shy. I understand how important it is to respect their space while still providing attention, play, and care on their terms. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, litter box cleaning, administering basic medications if needed, and making sure your cat feels safe and relaxed while you’re away. I take a calm and gentle approach, which works especially well for more sensitive cats.

Over: I’ve lived with cats for many years and understand that every cat has a different personality and routine. I’m patient, attentive, and comfortable caring for both playful and shy cats. I’ll make sure your cat feels safe, fed, and well cared for while you’re away.

Over: When it comes to cats, my most cherished memories involve volunteering at a pet hospital, where I cared for elderly and abandoned felines. Although I’ve never owned a cat due to my mother’s dander allergy, I’ve always held a deep affection for them. I’m fascinated by how each cat carries an independent spirit, a distinct personality, and its own set of quirky preferences. During my time at the hospital, the absolute highlight of my day was always that quiet, precious window of time spent in their company.

Over: I’ve been caring for dogs since childhood. My family dog was reactive, so I’m experienced and calm with dogs of all temperaments. I now share my home with Waffles, a friendly toy poodle, so your dog will have a gentle companion. We live in a quiet ground-floor apartment with direct street access, making walks easy and stress-free. Neighbours, friends, and family have trusted me with their pets for years. I work from home full time, so I’m always around and able to give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day. We typically do 1 to 3 walks daily, with potty breaks every 2 to 4 hours as needed. Your dog will never be left alone for lon We live in a quiet ground-floor apartment with direct access to the street, making potty breaks quick and easy. Our home is shared with Waffles, a gentle and friendly toy poodle. I’m experienced with reactive dogs and know how to introduce dogs calmly and at their own pace. Your dog’s comfort and safety always comes first.
Over: I grew up with pets (dogs and rodents) and have taken care of pets practically my whole life. 5 years ago, I took a wonderful boy called Charlie home from the shelter (you can see him in all of my pictures). He was already a bit older, and I was lucky to have him by my side for 4.5 years until he sadly passed away last October. I have a big heart for animals, and therefore miss taking care of a hairy friend! I have experience with taking care of both small and larger dogs, as well as senior dogs and dogs with medical needs. I recently started a PhD and am therefore not home during work days (mo-fr). This is why I currently am not in the position of adopting a dog myself, but would love to take care of dogs on the weekends when I am home. When taking care of a dog I adjust my routine to meet the needs of the dog. I try to suit the needs of the animal and respect their boundaries. If they prefer to be lazy or alone, I give them space, if they prefer interaction and play, I give them attention. I feed them and walk them as agreed with the owner.
Over: In one line: dogs love me! Even the most “difficult” ones like me :) I spend a lot of time walking my dog Tronco, so I thought… why don’t I walk other dogs at the same time!? I work from home everyday and I walk my dog 4 times a day so I have plenty of time to walk yours too! Any questions please let me know My friendly dog will keep company to yours! Maybe they will even play :) otherwise I will make sure your furry friend is super chill at my home
“Maria Teresa was great at communicating at all times and I received many updates of Hector during his stay. She was so sweet with him! He came back home feeling very calm. Thank you, Maria Teresa!”

Over: I’ve volunteered at a local animal rescue and worked as a pet sitter, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, litter cleaning, and giving medication when needed. Whether it’s a shy cat, an energetic dog, or a senior pet needing special attention, I always make sure they feel safe, calm, and loved. My goal is to make every pet as happy and comfortable as if they were at home. I moved to the Netherlands less than a year ago and am currently taking time to explore life and do what I truly love — caring for animals. Since I’m not working full-time, my schedule is very flexible, and I have plenty of time to give pets the attention, care, and companionship they need throughout the day. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with my 9-year-old cat, who is calm and friendly with both cats and dogs. My home is safe, clean, and cozy — perfect for pets to relax and feel at ease. I always make sure windows and doors are secure, and that the space is free from anything that could harm curious paws. When I care for pets at my clients’ homes, I follow their routines carefully and keep everything as familiar as possible. I also send regular photo and video updates so owners can feel at ease knowing their pets are happy and safe.

Over: I'm new to Rover, but dogs have already been part of my routine for a while. My parents look after a friend's dog once a week, and I often join in, walks, feeding, playtime, the whole thing. I know how to help a dog feel settled and comfortable even outside their usual home, and I bring that same patience and attention to every dog I care for. I'll follow your instructions closely and keep you posted throughout, and while I'm new to the platform, I'm not new to dogs, I'd love the chance to prove that to you and your pup :) I work from home most days, so I'm around and available almost all the time, the only regular exception is Thursdays, when I'm out. I'm also quite active, which works out well: dogs get a proper walk, and if it's a cat keeping me company at my desk instead, that's just as good a day for me. I live in a small studio (36m²), but the area right outside is genuinely great for dogs, plenty of green space nearby. Happy to share more about the neighborhood once we're in touch. For cats, the studio itself is calm and quiet, which makes it an easy space to settle into.

Over: /Nederlands hieronder/ * I love taking pics so I’ll be sharing lovely moments with you;) * I stay at home with my partner most of time so your loved ones won’t feel bored for sure! *Sitter Pick-up & Drop-off available Let’s get to know me: Hi, I’m Ting! I’m originally from Taiwan and moved to Amsterdam in 2022. I currently live with my Dutch partner in a one-bedroom cozy spacious apartment, and we both love animals! We work/study from home most of the time, so we’d love to have some furry company—and offer your dog a warm, calm environment with plenty of attention. Being a pet sitter lets me share my love for animals while giving them the care and companionship they need when you’re away. My partner and I are both students at the moment, so our schedules are very flexible and we spend most of our time at home studying or working on assignments. This means we have plenty of time to be with your fur baby and give them lots of attention, care, and companionship! We care for pets in a safe, calm, and clean environment, either in our home or the owner’s home. We follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. Pets are always supervised during playtime and walks, never left alone for long. We also carefully follow any instructions from the owner to ensure the best care.
“Mathilda was fantastic with our two giant puppies! At very short notice she puppy proofed her home and had our two pups for the day. They came back happy and obviously had a great bond with her after only the one visit. If we come back to Amsterdam there is no one else I would rather trust to have my dogs! Thankyou Mathilda!”

“I am very thankful to Kania for taking care of my little puppy and accepting it in the last minute. She was always in touch, provided a lot of photos and made his day just amazing. He played a lot, had a walk and good sleep. I can recommend Kania without hesitation.”

“We couldn’t be happier with Naroa ! She took such wonderful care of our dog, making sure she was loved, safe, and happy. We had a few last-minute requests, and she handled them with ease and complete flexibility, going above and beyond to accommodate us. From regular updates to walks and playtime, she made sure our pup had the best care possible. Highly recommend Naroa to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and dependable pet sitter 🙏🏼”

Over: I love dogs more than humans, which is honestly why you want me watching yours. I don't treat this like a job or a chore I just like hanging out with them. On nice days, expect me to walk your dog to the park for well over an hour just to let them run around and explore. You can do your thing without feeling guilty, knowing your dog is getting all my attention. My schedule is pretty flexible and easy to work around. I usually handle walks in the mornings or early afternoons, but let me know what you need and we can make it work. I’m always happy to do a quick meet and greet with you and your dog before any official bookings just to make sure we’re all a great fit for each other. I also prefer to focus on one dog at a time, though I can take multiples upon request if they're from the same household.

Over: Hi, I’m Ella! I’m 21 years old, originally from Denmark, grew up in Dubai, and currently a university student in Amsterdam. I’m a reliable and dedicated pet sitter with a genuine love for animals. I grew up in a home where we always had two dogs at a time, four in total, which means being around dogs has always been a natural part of my life. Since moving abroad, I truly miss having dogs around, so pet sitting is something I value not just as a responsibility, but as something I genuinely enjoy. I provide tailored care to your pet’s individual needs. Walks are adapted to your dog’s energy level, whether that means a longer, active walk or a more relaxed pace. During visits, I make sure your pet gets plenty of attention and playtime while also respecting their routine and personal space. I always follow feeding schedules, routines, and any specific instructions closely to ensure peace of mind for you as an owner. I also love to keep you updated with messages and lots of photos during bookings, so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for! 🥰 I’m comfortable with a range of personalities and always approach animals with patience, respect, and care. I stay attentive in all situations and prioritize your pet’s safety and wellbeing at all times (I have had an aggressive dog myself, so I know how to handle reactive dogs!) I’d love to take care of your furry family! 🐾 (My two dogs are at home with my family, so my apartment is animal free except for my lovely flatmate who also loves animals)❤️ I’m currently a university student with a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. I’m available almost every day, and I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine whenever possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a calm environment with easy access to a nearby open park, which is perfect for walks, playtime, and exercise. I always follow care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, routines, and any specific needs your pet may have. I’m attentive during walks and ensure dogs are kept safely on leash unless otherwise agreed. My goal is to create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where your pet feels relaxed and well cared for.
Over: I am Ann, a responsible, playful dog owner in Oud Zuid with 20+ years of experience caring for dogs. I have helped take care of special needs dogs in the past-our family dog was blind, and another dog is missing a limb....so I know how to care after the ones that need help the most. We have two rescued dogs, Soju and Sokka. We have a nice space with hardwood floors and a fenced yard. I plan on treating your dog as part of the family - giving them all the play time they need to be happy! I'm currently at home full time so your pup gets plenty of attention. The daily routine includes going to nearby parks (Vondel or Beatrix) and additional potty break walks around the neighborhood. I like to cater to the dogs needs and walking endurance. I have a fenced yard and two dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed. We have plenty of toys and treats. Please inform of any allergies or restrictions.
Over: I’ll take care of your dog with love and affection. We will go for walks and watch movies together. Can’t wait to take care of them.🐾 I’m a lawyer specialized in sustainability that works as a consultant. On my free time I enjoy taking care of dogs and pets.🐾 it makes me happy 😊 I take care of dogs in my apartment in Amsterdam. They can jump on the bed or the sofa and be as relaxed as they want
“Pablo is een fantastische oppas! Hij was erg lief naar mijn hond en heeft me meerdere keren updates gestuurd met foto’s en filmpjes. Hij heeft een ruime woning met genoeg ruimte voor mijn hond om rond te lopen. Zijn vriendin en hij waren de hele dag thuis dus er was continu iemand om Bowser gezelschap te houden. Ik raad Pablo zeker aan!”

Over: Two Dalmatians, a chihuahua, a Pomeranian and three mutts were my siblings growing up. I took care of them through every vet visit, may it be grooming days, sick days, or the few times they’ve given birth to puppies! I currently work part time so I am mostly at home and can do check-ins or walks, this is updated on my Rover calendar. I stay alert on walks and during home-sitting with pets. Care instructions for your little one will be carefully followed and depending on your preference, I can send updates throughout the sitting.
Over: Having raised my own dogs, and lovingly walking my neighbors' dogs have always been my biggest joy. I will care for your furry family member with the exact same devotion, warmth, and gentle attention I give to my own Since I manage my property back in Barcelona, my days are completely flexible. In my free time, I love dancing, exploring the city, and cooking cozy meals at home. Your pet will have my full attention and plenty of warm, peaceful company Located in peaceful IJburg, my apartment offers beautiful harbor views. The area is a quiet residential haven with plenty of dedicated dog parks nearby, ensuring your pet will enjoy both a cozy home and wonderful walks
Over: Hi! I've taken care of several pets, in high school I used to take care of my neighbours dog, I took care of my other neighbours cats, I have a little birdie at home myself :). I do not have experience with medical applications such as injections, but I am more than happy to company your buddies and take care od their needs! I'm currently studying, this semester is calmer than usual so most of my week is free. So I am quite flexible with scheduling! Although during exam weeks I will be less available than usual. Since I live in a student housing, I cannot bring little buddies home with me :(. However, I love spending time with them anywhere! I can company them at home according to house rules, or we can go on walks or play at parks.
Over: I recently moved away from home, and I really miss my dog! I love walking her, and was hoping to find a new friend to walk. I’ve previously also walked dogs in my other neighborhood:) My routine is quite diverse under the week, so it’s dependent on the day! However I am almost always free to walk on the weekends!! I sadly can’t have animals in my home, however I would be willing to talk about offering pet sitting, depending on when and how long :)
Over: I’ve taken care of dogs since being a kid. Since 10 years more seriously taking care of dogs within and outside family/friends circle. So have experience with different kind of dogs. During the day I am studying full time. So taking care of pets would be fitting for me more in the evenings and weekends than during weekdays. That depends on the type of dog of course. Take the dogs out for walks to get enough movement, but also make sure to have some play time in between and if necessary grooming.

Over: I am a 26-year-old Dutch guy with a great passion for dogs. Dogs have played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and have had four in total, two of which still live with my parents. Because of this, I have gained a lot of experience with different personalities, including more challenging and high-energy dogs. As a result, I know how to interact with dogs in a calm, clear, and confident way. I am also very good at reading canine communication, such as body language, posture, and behavior, which allows me to prevent escalation and step in when necessary. At the moment, I am exploring what I want to do in the future, and it is clear to me that it will involve dogs in some way, such as training or guidance. In the meantime, I have the time and flexibility to spend a lot of time with dogs, and there is honestly nothing I enjoy more. Being a dog sitter is therefore the perfect way for me to do something I genuinely love while also gaining even more experience and getting to know different dogs. To me, dogs are much more than just pets. I truly enjoy spending time with them and giving them the attention they deserve. I personally love going on walks, so taking a dog along is not only enjoyable company for me, but also a great balance where both the dog and I benefit from spending time outdoors. I find it very important that a dog feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which is why I always pay close attention to the individual character and needs of each dog. I actually enjoy working with more challenging or highly sensitive dogs as well. I stay calm, provide clear structure, and take the time to build trust so the dog knows what to expect. During walks, I pay close attention to the surroundings, safety, and the dog’s own signals. Owners can expect me to be responsible, reliable, and genuinely involved, and to treat their dog with patience, attention, and care. Clear communication is also very important to me, so owners always know how things are going. I read a dog’s emotional state by paying attention to the eyes, posture, energy level, and how the dog positions itself around other dogs. I also look for signs of confidence, stress, or dominance during interactions, such as the way a dog approaches, avoids, or lies down in social situations. This allows me to adapt my approach so that every dog feels safe and understood. During walks, I enjoy visiting natural environments such as parks or green areas where the dog can relax, explore, and comfortably do its business. I focus on calm, structured walks where the dog receives both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident handling dogs on a leash and can maintain good control in different situations. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I know how to apply reliable recall and how to keep the dog safe and engaged. I am also experienced in walking two dogs at the same time, so that is absolutely no problem for me. For a regular walk, you can expect me to walk with the dog for at least 40 minutes. Something else that may be reassuring for owners to know is that I am currently looking into part-time (16-hour) remote work that can be done fully independently. This means I am not tied to an office or stuck in long meetings, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the dog and the house. I am definitely not someone who is busy working all day and only quickly takes the dog out in between tasks — caring for the dog is genuinely my main priority. I may occasionally handle some light administrative work during the day, but aside from that, I am mainly present, flexible, and attentive. Because of this, I can keep a close eye on both the dog and the home, and owners can trust that everything will be calm, safe, and well taken care of. What I am currently in between jobs and taking the time to explore what I want to do long-term. One thing that is very clear to me is that I want my future to involve dogs in some way, whether that becomes dog training, behavioral guidance, or something similar. I am still figuring out exactly how I want to shape that path, but I think it is great that I can already gain valuable hands-on experience by caring for and spending time with different dogs through dog sitting and walking. At the moment, I have a flexible schedule and am mainly available during weekdays from late morning until the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, Rover does not offer an exact option for this, but in practice I am generally available between 10 AM and 5 PM to look after your dog at home or take your dog out for walks. Since I personally love walking as well, owners can expect me to take dogs on long, enjoyable walks with plenty of attention and care. I am also exploring the possibility of starting a part-time remote job later this summer for around 16 hours per week. The type of work I am looking at would be fully home-based, flexible, and low-pressure, without meetings or appointments that would require me to leave the house. Because of that, I would still have more than enough time, attention, and flexibility to properly care for dogs throughout the day. The dog’s wellbeing, attention, and routine would always remain my main priority while I am looking after them. Weekends can be a bit more difficult for me, although I may still be available depending on the situation, so you are always welcome to send me a message to check availability I currently live in an apartment complex and do not have a private garden, which means fulltime dog boarding at my home can be a bit more limited depending on the dog and the situation. However, if your dog only needs to stay somewhere for a few hours for example, to bridge part of the day rather than staying an entire day or overnight that is absolutely possible at my place. My apartment is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a dog for shorter periods of time. I already do this regularly with one of my parents’ dogs to help them out from time to time, so I am experienced in having dogs stay with me in a calm and comfortable environment. Of course, this is always coordinated properly, which means that if I am caring for your dog, there will not unexpectedly be another dog present unless discussed beforehand. I also genuinely enjoy being outdoors and spending active, quality time with dogs. With my own family dogs, I love doing simple things like playing with a tennis ball or a toy, practicing little tricks, going for walks, relaxing outside together, cuddling, and giving them attention. For me, it is really the small moments and connection with a dog that make it enjoyable, and spending time with dogs genuinely gives me a lot of energy and happiness. One important thing to mention is that Rover sometimes requires me to select fixed availability options that do not fully reflect how flexible I actually am. Because of that, it is possible that I may not always appear in certain search results. In reality, my availability is often much more flexible and depends a bit on the specific day and situation. So please feel free to send me a message, even if my profile settings seem limited I am usually more flexible than the Rover options may suggest.

Over: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. Starting with my first dog which was an energetic King Charles spaniel to my now two dogs, one a very hyper Labrador and the other a very high energy golden retriever, Australian shepherd cross. In between taking care of them, taking them on hikes, to rivers and just everyday walks I’ve also done some pet sitting for my neighbours the last 4 years. I have experience with small puppies to older dogs, low energy and high energy dogs all with different needs. I’ve been to puppy trainings with all three of my dogs and have put a lot of extra care into their nutrition too. I’m currently studying at the university of Amsterdam so I have plenty of time to come look after, check in, or walk your pets at any point of the day. Wethers it’s during the week or the weekend I am very flexible to adjust my schedule. I have experience walking my two large dogs and dogs of all other breeds and sizes so you can feel assured I know what I’m doing when it comes to keeping your pets safe.
Over: I’m a German au pair currently living in Amsterdam, taking care of two children during the week. Outside of those hours, I have a lot of flexibility and would love to spend my time pet-sitting—both to save up for university and because I genuinely love animals. Growing up, my family couldn’t have dogs or cats due to my dad’s allergy to animal dander, but I did have pets such as budgies. This taught me responsibility and daily animal care from a young age and made me appreciate every opportunity I now have to spend time with animals. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I regularly look after my boyfriend’s dog when his family is away, I feed and care for my neighbor’s cat during holidays, and I’ve often gone on walks with dogs belonging to family friends. I’m comfortable with routines, walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets calm, loving attention. I’m responsible, patient, and affectionate, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. During the week, I work as an au pair from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:00–8:00 PM. This gives me a large free time window late in the morning and early afternoon, ideal for dog walks, feeding cats, or short check-in visits. I’m also available early mornings and in the evenings when needed. On weekends, I’m fully flexible and available for longer stays or extended pet care. I’m a calm, patient, and empathetic person who helps pets feel safe and comfortable. I respect routines, boundaries, and individual needs, and I take my responsibility as a pet sitter very seriously. My goal is to provide a secure, calm, and stress-free environment where your pet feels well cared for while you’re away.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. A few years later, I am now living in Amsterdam, working full-time with dogs at a fantastic farm facility outside of the city, and finishing up my Master's degree. Do I sound like the right fit for you and your dog? Drop me a message and we can arrange an initial meeting to get to know each other better! (Multiple positive references available upon request). I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities, whether looking after a pet in my home or yours.
Over: Hej! I'm Maura. I'm a longtime pet lover and part-time pet caretaker. I've recently relocated to Amsterdam Noord from the USA and looking to grow my care community. I'd be happy to lend a hand to local pet owners with daily walks, drop-ins, overnight care and of course lots of cuddles :) I'm a remote graphic designer which allows for me to work at home. I have full-time availability for pet caretaking which includes morning-evening, weekends and holiday care. I live solo in a studio with a fenced yard which allows for your pup/s to explore outside and for quick potty breaks. Your pup/s will have the space to themselves - I don't own other animals.

Jake, and his husband took fantastic care of Mabel and she quickly became best friends with their dog Milo. Not only did Mabel love her time away from us. But she was happier than ever. 10/5 stars if that would have been possible ❤️”

“I highly recommend Azize as a dog sitter; she took amazing care of Dora and treated her like family! Throughout the entire stay, Azize kept me fully updated with regular messages and lovely updates. I could see that Dora felt incredibly comfortable, perfectly fed, and deeply loved with her. Azize organized great walks and fun playtime, which perfectly helped Dora forget that she was away from home. Dora came back happy, well-rested, and wonderfully showered with affection – we will definitely choose Azize again!”
