Over: Regelmatig passen we op honden uit de buurt, laten we ze uit of blijft er eentje paar nachten bij ons thuis. Altijd maar 1 hond gelijkertijd die veel liefde en aandacht krijgt van onze twee tiener zonen (10 en 13). We wonen gelijkvloers met tuin. We wonen direct naast een bos en dus is een mooie wandeling snel van start. Met twee schoolgaande kinderen is er door altijd iemand bij ons thuis. Vader werkt aan huis en kinderen geven tijdens vakanties en na school graag veel liefde en aandacht aan de hond waar we op passen. We passen graag op een hond bij ons thuis om rust te behouden en aandacht te kunnen geven. Waarbij hij/zij zijn vertouwde eigen spullen mee kan nemen. We wonen gelijkvloers met ruime tuin.

Over: Hi, I’m Julia! I’m 27 years old, born and raised on a Swedish farm and now studying a Masters in Communication Science at UvA. I’m fluent in English, Dutch and Swedish (I can teach your dog some ;) ) Ever since I can remember I’ve been a big fan of dogs. I’ve had dogs around me my whole life, I grew up with a Golden Retriever and a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and have in my later teens helped raised two Kangals. I have a lot of understanding and respect for dogs, both big and small. Lately I’m sitting my brothers Cane Corso Enzo, he is a puppy who needs a lot of training, and I’m up for the challenge! Apart from my experience and love for animals, I am an active person who walks a lot, I love being in nature and I would say I have a lot of patience. Whether it’s an older dog who needs a slower pace, or an active dog who needs a long power walk, I’m up for it! Since I am a student at the UvA, some mornings and afternoons are blocked out, but also some days are totally free for me. I’ll be honest and say that my schedule might change every 2 months with new courses, but mostly I am busy 3 days of the week. Still, everyday I stay active by going on a walk in Amsterdamse bos, going to the gym or biking. I love to cook and to relax with my boyfriend at home (he is also crazy about dogs!) I live in an apartment of roughly 95 m2, with a big living room and a large balcony (with a serious fence). We keep it clean with fresh air flowing. We live 3 minutes walking from the Amsterdamse Bos, it’s a national treasure and a dog heaven! My boyfriend and I live together have the same philosophy: nobody has died from a dog on the couch. But the of course, if your dog is not used to being on furniture, we will respect his/her boundaries ;) I will be as strict or relaxed as the dog needs me to be, I am a flexible dog sitter.

Over: We recently moved to Amsterdam from Minneapolis, USA. I am a dog lover for sure. Today I have an 8 month Yorkie who loves playing with other puppies. I enjoy teaching her new tricks and taking her for walks for her to explore the world. Would love to take care of another dog as it would make me and my puppy happy. I take care of my own dog, therefore taking care of another dog will be quite easy. I do frequent bathroom breaks and walks to help with energy. I have a 2 bedroom spacious apartment with a balcony with a peepad. The are I live in is walk friendly and super safe to walk the dogs.

Over: Two Dalmatians, a chihuahua, a Pomeranian and three mutts were my siblings growing up. I took care of them through every vet visit, may it be grooming days, sick days, or the few times they’ve given birth to puppies! I currently work part time so I am mostly at home and can do check-ins or walks, this is updated on my Rover calendar. I stay alert on walks and during home-sitting with pets. Care instructions for your little one will be carefully followed and depending on your preference, I can send updates throughout the sitting.

Over: In my opinion, looking after dogs it's a great responsibility because who owner of a dog I know that it is very important for the family. About their care, dogs are all different, like people, and each one has their own way of communicating and feeling trustworthy. I like to respect the dog's time to feel comfortable with me to have a friendly relationship and make them feel safe. I have a flexible hours because I work by project, so if we arrange a day before, I can adapt my schedule. Also I don't have any problem to look after them a workable day as well as a weekend. First at all, I would ask the owner if the dog had special treatment for health or behavior. Second, I would ask what type of game it usually plays and I would adapt to its way of playing. Third, what are its times for eating or going for a walk.
