Over: Hi! I'm Pauline, a full-time dog walker and certified dog trainer and behaviourist based in Landsmeer. I'm offering to walk your dog while you're at work or if you don't have time to take them for a long walk. I’ve been walking dogs for several years now, including regularly at a local shelter where I work with all kinds of breeds and temperaments. I also have my own dog, so I completely understand how important it is to know your pet is in safe and caring hands. I treat every dog as if they were my own—patiently, gently, and with lots of attention. If it's not clear by now, dogs are my passion <3 Being a dog trainer and behaviourist helps me understand dogs on a deeper level and handle any situation calmly and confidently. I also followed a dog First Aid course :) What you can expect after contacting me : - A few questions so I can have an idea of what you need & who your dog is - We meet and go for a walk with your dog so I can see him/her interact with the world - I can start walking your dog :) I usually start walking dogs with a 5 (or 10) meter leash (if we agreed on unleashed walks) until trust is established. If your dog is reactive or anxious, or prefers solo walks with no contact with other dogs, I'm also happy to provide that. I'm happy to walk around your neighboroud/local park or if i have multiple dogs, I take them to Twiske or a nice nature park. I have a car & bakfiets, and doing this full time so I'm very flexible with picking up/dropping off. Looking forward to meeting you and your dog! Over: I've been surrounded by cats and dogs since I was a small child, along with chickens and ducks, so I truly understand how to read and care for different animals' needs. I have my own cat whom I completely adore and take care of every day, and I've also looked after many dogs over the years. Feeding, walking, and playing with them for neighbors, friends, and family. For example, I used to regularly walk and take care of my neighbor's two Maltipoos, and I genuinely miss that daily routine with them since she moved to another city. I'm separately studying animal psychology to better understand both cats' and dogs' behavior, which helps me provide calm, attentive, and knowledgeable care for any pet I look after. I currently have a flexible schedule, which means I'm available to care for pets throughout the entire day including feeding, walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company. Since I'm not tied to fixed working hours, I can easily adapt to whatever routine works best for your pet, whether that's mornings, afternoons, or evenings. I live in a two-room apartment with a balcony, and I can only host cats there, since I have my own cat who doesn't get along well with dogs. For dogs, I prefer to come to the owner's home instead. From my experience, some animals get quite anxious when their environment suddenly changes and they're surrounded by unfamiliar people, so staying in their own familiar space is often the better and calmer option for them.

Over: I have had dogs in my life since early childhood. My first dog was an Old English Sheepdog (Bobtail) who was part of my family from when I was 4 until I was 12. While I was too young to walk her on my own because she was bigger than me, I actively helped with feeding, buying food, washing her paws, and grooming. At 25, I had my second Old English Sheepdog, and this time I was fully responsible for her care. I handled daily walks, feeding, vet visits, health monitoring, and grooming. Caring for large, strong breeds has given me confidence, responsibility, and a deep understanding of dogs’ needs, routines, and behavior. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to your dog. I am available most days of the week, including weekdays and Sundays. On Saturdays, I am available after 3 PM. This allows me to provide consistent attention, regular walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods. I live in a two-bedroom apartment with a private fenced garden, which gives dogs a safe outdoor space to explore and relax. My home is calm and family-oriented, shared with my husband and our 15-year-old teenager. There are no small children, so the environment is peaceful and predictable. I always prioritize safety, routine, and comfort. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special instructions provided by owners. Your dog will be treated as part of our family and cared for with patience and attention.

Ik ben elke dag beschikbaar om op uw lieve hond te passen en uit te laten. Zowel bij mij thuis of bij u. In bezit van een auto dus wandelingen in het bos of strand ook mogelijk! Ik woon klein, in een heel knus appartement in Amsterdam oud West. Zelf heb ik een hond van 10 jaar oud, nog heel fit en actief en vindt honden vriendjes fantastisch!

Over: Wat mij onderscheidt als oppasser is dat ik veel waarde hecht aan persoonlijke aandacht en ervoor zorg dat ieder huisdier zich veilig, comfortabel en op zijn gemak voelt. Ik neem de tijd om het karakter en de behoeften van een dier goed te leren kennen en pas mijn verzorging daar graag op aan. Ik ben geduldig, verantwoordelijk en zorgzaam. Of het nu gaat om spelen en aandacht geven aan een jong en energiek huisdier, het aanleren van goede gewoontes of juist de extra rust en verzorging die een ouder huisdier nodig heeft: ik vind het belangrijk dat ieder dier de aandacht krijgt die bij hem of haar past. Daarnaast houd ik mij graag aan de vaste routine van een huisdier, zoals voer- en wandeltijden, medicatie indien nodig en andere afspraken met de eigenaar. Mijn doel is dat zowel het huisdier als de eigenaar met een gerust gevoel kunnen genieten van de oppasperiode. Ik werk vier dagen per week. Mijn diensten zijn van 07:45 tot 16:15 uur en van 14:30 tot 23:00 uur. Daardoor heb ik zowel vóór als na mijn werk tijd om voor het huisdier te zorgen. Dit hangt af van de service die ik aanbied. Ik zorg ervoor dat het huisdier voldoende eten en drinken krijgt, de nodige aandacht en beweging krijgt en zich comfortabel voelt. Bij de verzorging bij het baasje thuis houd ik mij aan de gewoontes en instructies van het baasje, zodat het huisdier zich zoveel mogelijk op zijn gemak voelt.

With a personal pack of four dogs, ranging from small to medium breeds, I'm well-versed in managing various canine personalities and needs. Over: Hej! I'm Maura. I'm a longtime pet lover and part-time pet caretaker. I've recently relocated to Amsterdam Noord from the USA and looking to grow my care community. I'd be happy to lend a hand to local pet owners with daily walks, drop-ins, overnight care and of course lots of cuddles :) I'm a remote graphic designer which allows for me to work at home. I have full-time availability for pet caretaking which includes morning-evening, weekends and holiday care. I live solo in a studio with a fenced yard which allows for your pup/s to explore outside and for quick potty breaks. Your pup/s will have the space to themselves - I don't own other animals.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. A few years later, I am now living in Amsterdam, working full-time with dogs at a fantastic farm facility outside of the city, and finishing up my Master's degree. I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities, whether looking after a pet in my home or yours.

Over: I’ve had a big dog for 7 years and have been around many different types of dogs and taken care of them for friends and family. I am currently a student at VU university so I have a very flexible schedule and can be available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings! I have a home set up for a dog as I have a dog myself. I have a lot of experience in walking dogs and when I check in on dogs I know how to play with them and make sure they are cared for.
