Over: I recently moved away from home, and I really miss my dog! I love walking her, and was hoping to find a new friend to walk. I’ve previously also walked dogs in my other neighborhood:) My routine is quite diverse under the week, so it’s dependent on the day! However I am almost always free to walk on the weekends!! I sadly can’t have animals in my home, however I would be willing to talk about offering pet sitting, depending on when and how long :)

Over: I grew up with a dog for 12 years and was his main caretaker, so I’m very comfortable with the day-to-day responsibilities of looking after a pet. I handled feeding, walks, grooming, playtime, and also more specific medical care. My dog required injections and special attention, so I have experience staying calm and careful when pets need extra care. I genuinely love dogs and enjoy spending time with them, getting to know their personalities, and making sure they feel safe and happy while their owners are away. I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to spend plenty of time with the dogs I care for. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting during the week and often on weekends as well. I currently live in a student apartment, so I focus on providing care in the owner’s home or through walks and drop-in visits. I’m very respectful of people’s spaces and of each dog’s routine. I make sure dogs get plenty of attention, exercise, and feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you know your dog is doing well.

I personally love going on walks, so taking a dog along is not only enjoyable company for me, but also a great balance where both the dog and I benefit from spending time outdoors. I find it very important that a dog feels safe, calm, and comfortable, which is why I always pay close attention to the individual character and needs of each dog. I actually enjoy working with more challenging or highly sensitive dogs as well. I stay calm, provide clear structure, and take the time to build trust so the dog knows what to expect. During walks, I pay close attention to the surroundings, safety, and the dog’s own signals. Owners can expect me to be responsible, reliable, and genuinely involved, and to treat their dog with patience, attention, and care. Clear communication is also very important to me, so owners always know how things are going. I read a dog’s emotional state by paying attention to the eyes, posture, energy level, and how the dog positions itself around other dogs. I also look for signs of confidence, stress, or dominance during interactions, such as the way a dog approaches, avoids, or lies down in social situations. This allows me to adapt my approach so that every dog feels safe and understood. During walks, I enjoy visiting natural environments such as parks or green areas where the dog can relax, explore, and comfortably do its business. I focus on calm, structured walks where the dog receives both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident handling dogs on a leash and can maintain good control in different situations. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I know how to apply reliable recall and how to keep the dog safe and engaged. I am also experienced in walking two dogs at the same time, so that is absolutely no problem for me. For a regular walk, you can expect me to walk with the dog for at least 40 minutes. Something else that may be reassuring for owners to know is that I am currently looking into part-time (16-hour) remote work that can be done fully independently. This means I am not tied to an office or stuck in long meetings, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the dog and the house. I am definitely not someone who is busy working all day and only quickly takes the dog out in between tasks — caring for the dog is genuinely my main priority. I may occasionally handle some light administrative work during the day, but aside from that, I am mainly present, flexible, and attentive. Because of this, I can keep a close eye on both the dog and the home, and owners can trust that everything will be calm, safe, and well taken care of. What I am currently in between jobs and taking the time to explore what I want to do long-term. One thing that is very clear to me is that I want my future to involve dogs in some way, whether that becomes dog training, behavioral guidance, or something similar. I am still figuring out exactly how I want to shape that path, but I think it is great that I can already gain valuable hands-on experience by caring for and spending time with different dogs through dog sitting and walking. At the moment, I have a flexible schedule and am mainly available during weekdays from late morning until the end of the afternoon. Unfortunately, Rover does not offer an exact option for this, but in practice I am generally available between 10 AM and 5 PM to look after your dog at home or take your dog out for walks. Since I personally love walking as well, owners can expect me to take dogs on long, enjoyable walks with plenty of attention and care. I am also exploring the possibility of starting a part-time remote job later this summer for around 16 hours per week. The type of work I am looking at would be fully home-based, flexible, and low-pressure, without meetings or appointments that would require me to leave the house. Because of that, I would still have more than enough time, attention, and flexibility to properly care for dogs throughout the day. The dog’s wellbeing, attention, and routine would always remain my main priority while I am looking after them. Weekends can be a bit more difficult for me, although I may still be available depending on the situation, so you are always welcome to send me a message to check availability I currently live in an apartment complex and do not have a private garden, which means fulltime dog boarding at my home can be a bit more limited depending on the dog and the situation. However, if your dog only needs to stay somewhere for a few hours for example, to bridge part of the day rather than staying an entire day or overnight that is absolutely possible at my place. My apartment is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a dog for shorter periods of time. I already do this regularly with one of my parents’ dogs to help them out from time to time, so I am experienced in having dogs stay with me in a calm and comfortable environment. Of course, this is always coordinated properly, which means that if I am caring for your dog, there will not unexpectedly be another dog present unless discussed beforehand. I also genuinely enjoy being outdoors and spending active, quality time with dogs. With my own family dogs, I love doing simple things like playing with a tennis ball or a toy, practicing little tricks, going for walks, relaxing outside together, cuddling, and giving them attention. For me, it is really the small moments and connection with a dog that make it enjoyable, and spending time with dogs genuinely gives me a lot of energy and happiness. One important thing to mention is that Rover sometimes requires me to select fixed availability options that do not fully reflect how flexible I actually am. Because of that, it is possible that I may not always appear in certain search results. In reality, my availability is often much more flexible and depends a bit on the specific day and situation. Over: Ik heet Monique en ik woon met mijn man en twee dochters van vijf en negen jaar in Purmerend. Ik en mijn dochters houden enorm van honden daarom heb ik de fantastische “baan”” hondenoppas. Bij mijn thuis kan je je hond spelen, rennen, slapen, en heerlijk knuffelen met de allerbeste knuffelbare lieve kinderen en mij. We houden ook heel erg wandelen en op onderzoek uit gaan en natuurlijk ook heel veel spelen in onze ruime achtertuin. Inmiddels komen elke week drie vaste lieve honden als dagopvang. Naast dagopvang kan je hond ook bij mij logeren. Logeren is voor sommige honden heel spannend dat ik graag in de avond bij je viervoeter blijf zodat ie geen stress of bang is. Jou hond zal altijd en elke dag alle liefde en aandacht krijgen net als mijn eigen hond. We zoeken het liefst honden die kindvriendelijk zijn en gewend zijn aan kinderen. Dankzij Pawshake heb ik al op tientallen honden gepast van klein tot groot en het is altijd geweldig om te zien dat de honden genieten en dat de baasjes heel tevreden naar huis gaan. Daar doe ik het voor en natuurlijk voor de warme knuffels van uw hond!! We hebben ook een hondje Rosie en ze houdt ervan om met andere hondjes te spelen. Ik heb puppy's gehad tot oudere honden en ik kan daarnaast ook medicatie geven aan uw huisdier. Stuur mij een leuke berichtje via Rover. Heel veel liefs van ons. Extra dienst die ik erbij doe wat in de prijs inbegrepen is dat ik elke dag updates stuur over je hond en daarbij leuke foto’s/filmpjes van je hond. Door deze extra ben je altijd dicht bij je viervoeter. Ik ben een flexibele honden oppasser. Elke dag thuis en elke dag beschikbaar. Dagopvang start in de ochtend vanaf 7:00 tot 18:00. Logeren vanaf 14:00 tot de volgende ochtend om 12:00. Ik heb een grote afgesloten tuin en een lieve hond. Elke week heb drie vaste honden die langs komen voor dagopvang. Daarnaast heb ik twee dochters dus je hond heeft alle gezelschap en liefde.

On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Sinds mijn geboorte heb ik katten in huis gehad en momenteel woon ik samen met twee Maine Coons(woon nog thuis bij mijn ouders). Over: Ik ben opgegroeid met drie rottweilers en een Ridgeback dus ik heb veel ervaring met honden. Ik heb ook puppy cursussen gedaan met mijn puppy en zelf een puppy opgevoed. Ik heb momenteel geen huisdieren meer van ik ben op mijzelf gaan wonen. Daarom lijkt het mij extra leuk om op uw hond te passen, want ik mis het hebben van huisdieren heel erg. Ik ben student dus ik ben vaak beschikbaar om een ommetje te maken, om op uw honden te passen of mee te spelen! Ook al is het voor een korte periode maar langere periodes zou ook kunnen. Ik kom heel graag buiten dus lang lopen vind ik alleen maar leuk. Mijn liefde voor honden is onbeschrijfelijk. Het is een droom om dit werk te noemen! Ik zal altijd met liefde omgaan met uw honden. Ik kan zowel met grote honden als met kleine honden omgaan. Ik heb zelf veel ervaring met grote honden. Ik zal de hond altijd veel aandacht geven, dat hij nooit alleen zit!
