“Our 8 year-old female German Shepherd, Onyx, stayed with Mathilda for more than a week whilst we traveled abroad. It was the 1st time Onyx did not travel with us and stayed with someone else. Being a shepherd, this breed of dog is extremely close to its family and we did not know which reaction to expect on her part. Mathilda is such an experienced and dog loving person that within the first 24 hours there was a strong connection built between Onyx and Mathilda. We received numerous pictures of Onyx socializing with other dogs and being treated to extensive multiple hours walks in nature. Mathilda lives in a privileged neighborhood that has large green nature close by which dogs love on the leash or in complete freedom. When we came to pick Onyx up, she did not rush out to the car whilst loading her stuff but patiently stayed and waited with Mathilda: that alone tells it all… We are extremely thankful to Mathilda for the outstanding care she has provided to Onyx including making her even more friendly with other dogs, including ignoring not so social dogs we get back a better trained dog after her stay. Should there be future instances to require assistance with Onyx, Mathilda will be our 1st point of call and we warmly recommend her to anyone needing help with their dog.”

Over: I don't remember when I didn't have dogs, they are my faithful companions since I was born. I had small, medium-sized dogs and now with my family we have a giant German shepherd! Now that I live in Amsterdam and I miss my puppy I wish I could give my love to other puppies! I am loving and attentive to the needs of a dog, I love taking long walks. I can't wait to meet your pets ! :) I have a full time job with some days of working from home, and on friday i finish at 4. I come home very early after work. And in any case I'm flexible if needed. I live in the middle of Westerpark so in a really green and dog friendly place. I can bring the dog to have walks really often.

Over: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a very pet-loving family where we always had at least three dogs, sometimes four, alongside rabbits, fish, and other pets. Over the years I’ve lived with and cared for a wide variety of different breeds, including Bernese Mountain Dogs, Newfoundlands, a Cocker Spaniel mix, a Maltese Poodle, and a Boerboel. Having had both giant breeds and smaller dogs as pets has really taught me how different every dog is and how important it is to adapt to their individual personality, energy level, and needs. I regularly took our three Bernese Mountain Dogs on hikes in the mountains and on adventures to forests and lakes, while our smaller dogs much preferred a relaxing walk on the beach or park. I now work from home full-time, with no pets currently, and live just a short walk from Vondelpark, which means I have the flexibility to give plenty of attention, walks and playtime throughout the day. I live just a 5-minute walk from Vondelpark and usually head there at least once a day, so dogs staying with me can enjoy regular walks and lots of time outdoors. Whether your pet loves being active or prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to adapt to their routine! Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! I live in a calm, pet-friendly apartment with a secure balcony and easy access to Vondelpark. I will follow your instructions carefully regarding feeding, exercise, and house rules, and I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away without a worry!

“Our Mabel is not only a 4 months old puppy, but an Aussie puppy, which makes it A LOT to take in: a LOT of energy, chewing, potty incidents, so we were very worried with leaving her with someone else for the first time. Paulien took excellent care of her for the 3 days we were out of town - she was very patient, attentive, understanding of everything that came with the job. She was constantly in touch with us, sending us plenty of videos and pictures, asking questions if necessary - the communication was fun and top notch, and I could feel that Paulien was having fun with Mabel despite all the challenges (or even enjoying them! ?) and that Mabel had fun as well. “Communicatie met Marcel verliep perfect! Reageert snel op berichten . Was fijn om eerst kennis te maken met Marcel bij hun thuis in Zaandam. En afspraken gemaakt over los lopen etc! Het voelde meteen goed om Moos bij Marcel achter te laten. Leuk dat Marcel filmpje stuurde van uitlaten en eindeloos bal gooien; blijer kan je Moos niet maken! Leuk om te zien en te ervaren dat Marcel Moos een leuk beest vindt (vinden wij ook😊) en dat Moos zich helemaal vertrouwd voelde bij Marcel, alsof hij daar al lang over de vloer kwam. Was eerste keer. En is dus heel goed bevallen! Ik ben erg blij dat ik Marcel kan vragen op Moos te passen, als we omhoog zitten.”
