“Via het internet heb ik de organisatie Rover gevonden. Wij zijn op vakantie in Callantsoog en kregen het bericht dat er een goede vriend was overleden. Wij wilden naar de crematie maar konden onze hond Dex niet in de Caravan achterlaten vanwege de hoge temperaturen. Via Rover zijn wij met Maria in contact gekomen en haar uitgekozen om een dag en nacht op Dex te passen. Maria is een superlieve vrouw en dierenvriend, het klikte tussen ons en Dex en wij konden hem met een zeer rustig gevoel bij haar achterlaten. Wij werden zeer goed geïnformeerd met korte filmpjes over het wel en wee van Dex en Maria. Maria hartelijk bedankt en wij wensen jou alle goeds, jij bent een echte Dierenvriendin‼️”

Over: Biggest fan of animals 😍 we always had pets when I was growing up and before I moved to Amsterdam, but hasn't worked out for me to have a pet since living here due to travels. “Lada is the best dog sitter in Amsterdam! She agreed to watch my dog less than 12 hours in advance, and then agreed to meet me at the train station instead of me dropping off the dog at her place, which shows how kind and thoughtful and helpful she is!!! The weekend that my dog spent at her place was amazing too. I got updates 5+ times per week, with pictures of my dog, my dog was walked for multiple hours a day, she was allowed everywhere in the house; and Lada was veryyyy attentive to her needs and always checked in with me on what she could do extra. She even invited me for tea after the dog stay. I genuinely couldn’t recommend her more, i’d trust her to watch my dog anytime!”

Over: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a very pet-loving family where we always had at least three dogs, sometimes four, alongside rabbits, fish, and other pets. Over the years I’ve lived with and cared for a wide variety of different breeds, including Bernese Mountain Dogs, Newfoundlands, a Cocker Spaniel mix, a Maltese Poodle, and a Boerboel. Having had both giant breeds and smaller dogs as pets has really taught me how different every dog is and how important it is to adapt to their individual personality, energy level, and needs. I regularly took our three Bernese Mountain Dogs on hikes in the mountains and on adventures to forests and lakes, while our smaller dogs much preferred a relaxing walk on the beach or park. I now work from home full-time, with no pets currently, and live just a short walk from Vondelpark, which means I have the flexibility to give plenty of attention, walks and playtime throughout the day. Paulien took excellent care of her for the 3 days we were out of town - she was very patient, attentive, understanding of everything that came with the job. She was constantly in touch with us, sending us plenty of videos and pictures, asking questions if necessary - the communication was fun and top notch, and I could feel that Paulien was having fun with Mabel despite all the challenges (or even enjoying them! ?) and that Mabel had fun as well. Over: I don't remember when I didn't have dogs, they are my faithful companions since I was born. I had small, medium-sized dogs and now with my family we have a giant German shepherd! Now that I live in Amsterdam and I miss my puppy I wish I could give my love to other puppies! I am loving and attentive to the needs of a dog, I love taking long walks. I can't wait to meet your pets ! :) I have a full time job with some days of working from home, and on friday i finish at 4. I come home very early after work. And in any case I'm flexible if needed. I live in the middle of Westerpark so in a really green and dog friendly place. I can bring the dog to have walks really often.
