Ik woon samen met mijn partner in een appartement in het centrum van Purmerend. Tot voor kort deelden we onze woning met onze 2 Schipperkes. Ze zijn eerder dit jaar overleden op een respectabele leeftijd van 16 jaar.... We zouden graag weer hondjes nemen, alleen dan op de wat langere termijn. En ondertussen zou ik graag je hondje bijvoorbeeld tussen de middag kunnen uitlaten. Daarnaast zou ik bij mij thuis een aantal dagen op een kleinere hond kunnen passen. Ik zeg kleiner, omdat ik een relatief kleine woning heb zonder tuin. Maar er zijn zat groenvoorzieningen in de buurt om met je hondje te kunnen wandelen.

In my home, I let them sniff the area first to get the lay of the land. This will give them space to get comfortable surroundings and understand that it is a safe space for them. Since my dog is also home with me, I prefer they meet in neutral territory for a meet & greet to ensure that it is a good match, however I’ve had other dogs come over without the need for one, and it has been okay. I just like to take the extra precaution to give both of us piece of mind. At the client’s home, I’ll follow yours and your dog’s routine. Over: Hi! 😊 Honden zijn voor mij echt familie en ik vind het belangrijk dat ze zich veilig, geliefd en op hun gemak voelen. Ik heb een tijd op een ranch in Duitsland gewoond waar we twee Australian Shepherds en een Border Collie hadden. De Aussies heb ik grotendeels vanaf pup opgevoed en met onze Border Collie, die een lastig verleden had, ben ik ook meerdere keren naar de hondenschool geweest. Daardoor heb ik geleerd goed om te gaan met verschillende karakters en gedragingen. Daarnaast heb ik vaak opgepast op de Jack Russell van een vriendin tijdens vakanties en andere momenten. Ik hou van lange wandelingen, avontuur en actief bezig zijn met honden — vroeger nam ik ze zelfs regelmatig mee tijdens het paardrijden 😊 Ik ben geduldig, rustig en speels, maar durf ook duidelijk en consequent te zijn wanneer dat nodig is. Medicatie geven is geen probleem en ik sta open voor alle soorten honden. Ik geloof niet echt in “slechte rassen”, iedere hond is anders en verdient een eerlijke kans en liefdevolle begeleiding. Verder heb ik een auto, dus uitstapjes of ophalen is vaak mogelijk. En ja… als een hond graag bij je op bed kruipt voor extra knuffels, dan vind ik dat helemaal gezellig 🐾 Momenteel heb ik nog geen vaste baan, waardoor ik veel vrije tijd en flexibiliteit heb. My home is dog-proofed, with nothing lying around they could get into or accidentally swallow. Since moving to Amsterdam, I’ve regularly pet sat for friends here, everything from quick drop-in visits to longer stays of up to 15 days. I live in a big apartment with my partner, who also loves pets, so we’d be two people looking after yours and it would rarely be alone. We’re close to Erasmuspark, great for walks and playtime, and our place has a big balcony too. I work from home most of the time and only go to the office once a week, so I’m around most days. Happy to take dogs on long walks, or just spend lots of time at home if it’s a cat! Sleeping in the bedroom with me is totally fine, or the living room if your pet prefers sleeping on its own. We currently don’t have any pets of our own. I can do both during the week and weekends. Right now I work from home 4 days a week and I go to the office once a week. This is flexible though, so I can also stay home full-time if needed. I love giving lots of affection and spending quality time with the pets in my care. I do have an active social life, but when I have an animal with me, I try to stay home as much as possible so they feel accompanied and don’t feel alone. If it’s a dog, I really enjoy long walks, so I’d take them along with me. I prefer looking after pets at my own place, but in some cases I’m also open to pet sitting at the owner’s home. As for sleeping, I’m flexible, they can sleep in the bedroom with me or in the living room, whatever they’re more used to. As for pets, I don’t own any currently.

I have a bakfiets, so if it’s ok with you, we can get around town with the wind in our fur! I have a clean and welcoming environment in my home, with room for playing and napping. I live on the third floor, and there are stairs inside my apartment too. I’m happy to carry smaller dogs up and down, but this might be something to consider. In general, when I am caring for a dog, it’s much like having a child to take care of. I do have an 8 year old (who is very sweet and gentle with dogs), so your dog has to be friendly and comfortable with children. I also need to know how your dog is with other dogs and people, so I can act accordingly. I never let dogs off leash before i know them very well, because I take my responsibility very seriously. And always pick up poop!

I’m currently a masters student at VU so my schedule is pretty flexible to accommodate your needs! I’m very aware of my surroundings and comfortable around animals.
Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. A few years later, I am now living in Amsterdam, working full-time with dogs at a fantastic farm facility outside of the city, and finishing up my Master's degree. I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities, whether looking after a pet in my home or yours.

Ik ben elke dag beschikbaar om op uw lieve hond te passen en uit te laten. Zowel bij mij thuis of bij u. In bezit van een auto dus wandelingen in het bos of strand ook mogelijk! Ik woon klein, in een heel knus appartement in Amsterdam oud West. Zelf heb ik een hond van 10 jaar oud, nog heel fit en actief en vindt honden vriendjes fantastisch!

Over: I’ve had a dog since I was 10, so I grew up learning how to train and care for one properly, not just from a course. Here in Amsterdam I look after dogs regularly and can put you in touch with past clients for a reference. I want to make sure your dog feels at home as possible with me! I’m a student and work part-time, so I have real flexibility during the week, not just evenings and weekends. That means I can adjust to your dog’s routine rather than squeezing care in around a rigid schedule, whether that’s a midday walk, extra playtime, or just more one-on-one attention. I keep my calendar updated so you can see exactly when I’m free to book! I’ve spent years learning to read what dogs need, when they want more attention and when they’d rather be left to settle. My home is dog-proofed, with nothing lying around they could get into or accidentally swallow. I live right next to several parks, so there’s always somewhere close for walks and playtime without needing a car. I keep owners updated with photos and messages throughout the stay so you always know how your dog is doing.
