About: I've helped take care of the family dogs since I was young. My father had hunting dogs when we lived in the country and those types were friendly but could be assertive. Feeding, watering and checking for ticks or small wounds was a daily routine in any weather. We had German Shepherds for security but they were also loyal and protective pets. I attended Vohne Liche Training Kennels in Indiana and became an Explosive Detection Dog Handler while working as a defense contractor in Iraq, and have the certificate. I currently don't have a dog since my yard is small and I know that a healthy dog needs daily exercise. I have taken care of my friends and neighbors' dogs and walked them daily, but I avoid taking them to city parks or dog parks. A few owners disobey the laws and allow their dogs to roam the park off leash and this almost always ends badly. Sooner or later there will be a fight when an off-leash dog decides to attack other dogs that are leashed. Not all dogs at doggy parks are well socialized, and there is no proof of any current vaccinations. Dogs are pack animals and some may try to assert their dominance by fighting or harassing other dogs, especially those that are well mannered and non aggressive. I'm retired and an empty nester, so I have the time to devote as much attention as your pet may need. I only have a cat, so I can be available to stay overnight with your pet. My house has three bedrooms and an air conditioned garage, so my cat has the run of the house unless I'm boarding a client's dog. In that case I close off a part of the house to keep dog and cat separate, at least until I find out if they're compatible. In a client's home, I keep the same routine as the pets are accustomed to. I enjoy walking the family dog(s) and pay close attention to their eating and potty routines. If the dogs are to be given treats, I make a game of hiding them in plain sight and letting the dog use their senses to find them. I play fetch or tug of war if the dog enjoys this type of activity. I don't mind sitting with lap dogs and sit with them wherever they're allowed, on a couch or just the floor.

About: I’m an animal advocate (which is a fancy way of saying I’m constantly looking for excuses to bring another animal home) lol. If there’s a rescue in need, I’m already emotionally involved…and probably trying to figure out how to fit one more into my house👀. I’m a loving, caring person who genuinely enjoys taking care of the people I love. My pets are not “pets” in this house, they are my beloved babies, and yes…they absolutely know it!!!💖 English&Spanish. Taking care of my dogs is an important part of my daily routine. Their health and well-being are a top priority for me, so I make sure they receive proper care, attention, exercise, and plenty of love every day. I truly believe that keeping our pets healthy and happy is one of the most important responsibilities we have as pet parents. I have a spacious yard where pets can exercise, play, and enjoy some outdoor time throughout the day. At the same time, I completely respect their individual routines and preferences. If they feel more comfortable relaxing or staying in their kennel, they are absolutely welcome to do so. I like to let pets settle into the environment at their own pace and give them the freedom to choose where they feel most comfortable.

Big importance to me are harmful items such as toxic foods, medications, cleaning supplies, bedding, crates, and pet areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment to give parents that extra piece of mind that someone’s watching for all those little things.

About: Ive been caring for others animals for over a decade from drop ins, to overnight stays, and visits. I find Joy in giving animals their best life and care they deserve. I understand what it’s like to leave your fur baby in someone else’s care and strive to offer the care I’d want for my pets which is responsible, reliable, communicative, and loving. I currently work part time and from home so have a fairly flexible work week. I understand not everyone has that and I’m always walking anyways so don’t mind taking new friends along with me. I’m responsible and communicative and flexible. On the weekends it could be hit or miss but not off the table. I’ve worked in private households majority of my life whether child, pet, or house sitting. I understand the trust involved and do my best to keep the area better than I left it, am diligent to keep the pets safety first and the home secure and tidy. About: We have done pet sitting for friends and family, mostly cats and dogs. We work best with smaller animals (but we're open to some bigger dogs). We both work part time and don't have set schedules. We can work around those days and also depending what times and we can check in before and/or after work as well. With my own dog, I walk her 3 times a day, feed her once and try and play and cuddle with her as much as she wants. I can do whatever fits your dogs schedule and needs as i do for mine.

I’m also able to keep dogs in separate spaces, but I’d prefer a dog meeting at my dog park for peace of mind. I have crates and dog gates. I’d like for you to bring dog beds and blankets and bowls just so your dog is familiar with those personal food/sleep/comfort items and feel more comfortable with home scents.

About: I've had pets throughout my whole life and when animals come into the picture, it's a whole different life compared to living without them.
