Before we get to my experience, I just want to mention that I am wheelchair bound, so I prefer to stick to walking smaller dogs unless they are well-mannered on a leash! I also have a fenced in yard and a screened in patio, which tends to help with releasing bursts of energy, potty breaks while playing, and additional shade for those that like being outside without the sun. I ask to meet first to ensure your fur-baby is comfortable with the space and with my Alaska, as well as my newborn daughter, and will have questions to ensure I've covered every detail for your pup's potential stay. All that I ask initially is that your dog is friendly and does not show aggression. If you crate-care your pup, please keep in mind to bring your own crate as well. For dog walking services, please let me know the times your pup tends to be walked so I can provide as seamless and consistent care as possible. If treats are used for walks or training, I am happy to continue their education while sitting!
About: Hi! I'm a local wildlife rehabilitator who started caring for animals decades ago as a dog and cat foster. Now, I've got hands on experience with animals of all kinds, including farm friends, reptiles, birds, rodents, even lemurs! My availability is mostly open, especially if you live nearby. I understand each pet and their family have unique needs, and I am happy to work with you too create the perfect care for your pets. I offer drop in service as well as sitting in your home and walks. I also offer treats with approval, and am able to administer a variety of medications as needed.
About: I’ve always grown up around dogs but in high school I started volunteering at the Humane Society which I did for 4 years, and then for the past 7 years I have been working at a dog daycare and boarding facility. I also have some grooming experience in the sense of bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing, NO actual haircuts. I have also cared for senior dogs at my job, as well as dogs who need their insulin, I know how to administer medicine. Although I do not have actual training experience professionally, I have been trained my puppies and they are very good at listening to the commands given to them :). I do have 11 dogs myself so I am experienced in having dogs and caring for them 24/7. I have also gone to peoples home’s and cared for their pets too! :D I am currently working part time so my schedule should be pretty free to work around your needs! Please message me and I’m sure I could work something out with your schedule, it shouldn’t be an issue. Although I do not have a fenced yard, I take my dogs on 30 minute walks every two hours (making sure the gravel is not too hot, or if it is, we have boots for them). I do not crate my dogs inside the house but if this is something you would like your dog to have, I can offer it. My dogs are also allowed on furniture but if your dog is not allowed to get on furniture, that’s no problem, my dogs do not get on furniture unless they’re invited to. In client’s homes that I have gone to, they leave me a detailed list of their dogs needs and I follow it step by step! If I offer the service at my house, you also do not have to worry about your pup ever being alone! In case I happen to have an emergency (which has never happened before) I do live with my sister, (who also has experience with dogs) my parents, and grandparents and we are ALL dog lovers 🥰
