“She was excellent, very friendly with the dogs and took them on long walks, and was also very respectful with the house rules. Will recommend her always and definitely will be booking with her again.”

“Sherry was amazing!! We were visiting from out of town and needed someone to help with our dogs while we visited theme parks. She did an amazing job walking and feeding our 3 dogs and sent great updates!!”

“Zaida did a handful of drop in visits for our cats while we were away. We’re grateful to have found her as she was able to easily give medicine to our cat that requires prescription medication. Additionally, Zaida was attentive during her visits, keeping an eye out for changes in symptoms and ensuring our cats got their much needed play time. She provided us detailed updates and photos of each visit. Thank you, Zaida!!”

“Brooke is awesome - she’s watched our fur babies on a few occasions, and they absolutely love her. She’s attentive, and always prompt with her check ins. She also sends the best check in photos, so we know they’re in great hands! Highly recommend her services!”

“Carolyn has been so great and helpful helping me with my puppy when I’m away for work! She is very helpful in giving me a peace of mind knowing Bean is safe while I’m away.”

“Nina was fantastic! She sent lots of pictures to keep us in the loop and assure us our fur babies were doing well. She was thorough and detailed in texts and notes. She braved the many growls and evil eyes from our cats and was very patient and kind with all 4 of our pets. Isabelle and Bosco look forward to having Nina back again! Fiona and Grace will grow to love her too when they realize how much they need her for their food ;) Thanks Nina!”

About: While many sitters focus primarily on cats and dogs, I also have experience caring for exotic pets, including birds, reptiles, and ferrets. Over the past year, I’ve regularly helped care for my bestfriend’s ferrets, Boo and Zero, ensuring they receive proper supervision, enrichment, feeding, and attention. My experience with both traditional and exotic pets allows me to adapt to a variety of care requirements and environments! My schedule is currently very flexible! I’m generally available Monday through Friday, especially during daytime hours, but im happy to work with pet parents to find a schedule that works best for everyone.. just let me know in advance ^_^ I treat every pet as if they were my own. I make sure pets have fresh water, a clean environment, plenty of attention, and a consistent routine! I pay close attention to their behavior, comfort level, and any special instructions provided by their owner :)
“Katherine provided very detailed updates and the cutest pics while she watched my cat, Simba. Great communication as well. Would highly recommend and will definitely book with her again in the future.”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and my friends dogs growing up as well as working as a kennel technician in a training facility for several years. I have worked with dogs with behavioral issues as well as puppies and everything in between!! I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to help take care of other people's pups as well as have a flexible schedule! I have a fenced back yard for play time as well as a walkable neighborhood where I walk my own dog's multiple times a day.
“Samantha was a hit with Mulder when they first met! I saw how he immediately accepted Samantha. It gave me peace of mind while we were away for an extended period of time. We have your number Samantha and we will call you again when needed. Thank you!”

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals since the age of 6. I am always looking forward to making sure they are well cared for. I am currently available anyday. I do have pets of my own that I have to take care of but if we plan accordingly there should be no issues I care for all animals as If they were my own.. I will make sure to be on top of any messes. I usually will walk them 2-3 times a day, I try to have a schedule of when to feed them depending on their diet. I will always keep the dogs clean 🧼
About: Caregiving is a calling and a special gift I've had for as long as I can remember. I've been trusted with the care of many animals, my own, neighbors, friends, and families since very young. I am always willing to learn more. While I am searching for the next move in my career path, I have ample time to spend with my family, enjoy the company of my friends, and work on small business ideas- this being one of them. I would love to spend more time around animals while I better myself in every aspect. Caring for a life typically means giving more than food, water, bathroom breaks or on occasion medications. It's understandable that some pets can dysregulated by their owners absence. For this reason I do my best to keep their space familiar and comfortable. The pets I care for are all shown compassion and patience while their pet parents are away. Updates, pictures and videos can be sent upon request.
“I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Ruelayne! She is dependable, polite, and cares takes such great care of my puppy. Ralphie, absolutely loves her—she takes the time to play with him, keep him engaged, and make sure he feels comfortable and happy. She’s so personable and easy to communicate with, which gave me so much peace of mind while I am at work. She comes everyday to check on my bay and sends great messages, pictures, and videos. I feel like she treats my puppy as if he is her own. I would highly recommend Ruelayne to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Melissa”

“Another great experience with Angelo. I feel my girls are in good hands while we're away. We were delayed a day returning home and he was very helpful in adding one more day to their care since we wouldn't be home on time. Easy to work with and great with our kitties.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hunters Creek
Brooke did an amazing job taking care of our cat Nala for over a week while we were gone. She administered oral medications, cleaned Nala's litter box, hung out with her to give her company, prepared wet food, and even cleaned up toss ups from the carpet. She provided pictures and a summary for each visit. Nala can be an anxious cat, so we really appreciate Brooke having the patience to make the experience as low stress as possible.

We were so happy with Brianna! We received a summary every day of her visits with our cat, including photos and descriptions of her interactions with Kitty that just made us smile. She was very willing to do other house tasks too, such as bring in mail and water plants. Our cat seemed to like her as well, based on the photos. We will definitely contact Brianna again for our next vacation. Highly recommend!

Jess took amazing care of my boys! She was incredibly kind, professional, and communicative throughout the entire stay. She sent tons of pictures and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell my boys were happy and well cared for. I will absolutely be using her again and highly recommend her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hunters Creek. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
