“I left my baby Gustav with Ryan for around nine or 10 days. He had surgery on his mouth two weeks before so had to have some special soft foods and medicines. Ryan did an excellent job. He gave him all his food sometimes had to hand feed him. He gave him all his walks and lots of love. The house was left in perfect condition very clean and tidy. I would be more than happy to leave with stuff with Ryan again. He’s polite, kind and just generally a very nice person.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life. I grew up on farmland, so my family had much room for new animals and we took advantage of the land. This has resulted in me gaining experience to care for 6 cats at once, 2 dogs, 2 pigs, a bearded dragon, a hedgehog, and fish! I’m currently a full time student so I have flexibility to take dogs on walks before, between, or after classes. I am also an early riser so I can work with that too. Unfortunately I cannot bring pets into my space, as I live in a small area and it would not be best for animals, but I would love to accommodate what works best for each client.

We had care scheduled for our kitties, but it became clear it would take more to bring our Stella kitty home. With still a week left in our trip, we were becoming very concerned Stella would not come home without a dedicated and persistent search effort, and that’s when we contacted Janey. Right from the start, Janey was empathetic about our situation and committed to helping. She went above and beyond our expectations, from bringing various types of fish to put out for our kitty to circulating our kitty’s photo on social media sites (with our permission), all while providing love and care to our other kitty, Oscar. Janey was easy to coordinate with and is a reliable communicator. Janey up finding our Stella kitty deep out into the yard behind our house when Oscar awoke her in the middle of the night. She saw eyes glowing in the yard, contacted us, and went out to investigate based on an intuition it was our Stella, which it was! She approached Stella carefully and brought her home safely. We highly recommend Janey for her great communication, dedication to help, and clear way with animals!!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, but starting in my teens I became more focused on understanding their behavior, moods, and small habits and learned pet care is more than just feeding and cleaning, but truly paying attention to how they feel. I would say I'm good at reading animal body language and adjusting how I should approach them so they feel safe and comfortable. Most of the pets I’ve cared for have been older animals, but I also have experience watching puppies, cats, and rabbits, including my own. I treat every pet like an individual and focus on building trust, keeping routines consistent, and making sure they feel calm while their owners are away. :)) I’ve house sat for friends and family with a variety of pets, and I’m comfortable following each owner’s routines and instructions closely. I work especially well with middle-aged and senior dogs, as I’m calm, attentive, and focused on their comfort. I prioritize safety, consistency, and making sure pets feel cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I have a flexible schedule. I’m currently still a student so I have classes on Tuesday and Fridays. Most weekdays I have open availability. Some weekends I participate in pop-up markets for my small business, so availability may vary then, but I always keep my calendar updated and communicate clearly in advance. I care for pets by paying close attention to their individual personalities and comfort levels. My own dog came from a difficult previous home, so I’ve learned to be patient, read body language, and give animals space when they need it. I take time to build trust which helps pets feel safe and relaxed. I think quality time is very important for animals so I don't mind spending my time playing and sitting with pets it calms me down too! :)
