“Mike is AMAZING! We booked him to stay at our house with our 2 dogs. Regarding our dogs: One of our dogs is a rescue and can be overly anxious which causes him to be aggressive. In our intro meeting, our rescue dog was being problematic. However, Mike has worked with dogs like him and luckily, my dog's temper tantrums didn't deter him from watching my dogs. During his stay, my dog quickly warmed up to Mike and are now great friends. It speaks volumes to Mike's patience and experience with trouble dogs. Regarding the House Sitting: I don't think necessarily was part of the job description but I do have an older house that unfortunately decided to throw Mike some curve balls during his time watching my dogs. The wind took a window off its hinges and shattered glass all over and my refrigerator sprung a leak. Lucky again for us that Mike is very level headed, communicated the problems to us, and found solutions quickly to remedy the situation. We came back to the window mess being cleaned up, the fridge in working order, and towels used laundered and folded. Overall, I'm incredibly thankful for Mike and will certainly book him again the next time we're out of town.”

“Victoria is hands-down the most attentive sitter I’ve ever used on Rover. She stayed at my apartment with my Labradoodle, Shiplap, for three days and truly went above and beyond. Not only did she perfectly manage Shiplap’s specific mealtime routine, including his Amen prayer and Fresh Pet preparation, but she also jumped right into our daily neighborhood traditions. She made sure Shiplap got his social time with Sister and the other local cats, even handling the extra feeding for them. What really impressed me was how she handled my apartment’s quirks. My place has a few 'old building' issues like a tricky toilet handle and specific AC breakers, and Victoria managed everything flawlessly. She even kept up with Shiplap’s cooling routine with his fans and towels. What really set her apart was the communication. She sent frequent updates and adorable photos of Shiplap throughout the day, so I never had to wonder how he was doing. I returned to a happy dog and a perfectly kept home. About: I've taken care of animals since I was a child. Whether my own, family/friends' pets, or animals in a professional setting, I've been around and taken care of a wide variety of animals. I've worked in a veterinary hospital for 3+ years, working alongside veterinary technicians and anesthesiologists, assisting in cases and monitoring pets before and after surgery. I've had years of education on animal anatomy and physiology, as well as schooling in subjects such as cell biology and microbiology. I believe this specific education gives me an enlarged perspective on an individual pet and the ability to monitor their wellbeing. I've worked at a pet store, so I have extensive experience on pet food brands, enrichment techniques, supplemental care, and breed-specific considerations. I take this experience and knowledge at the forefront when caring for any animal. I went to school pursuing a veterinary path before deciding marine biology is more of my particular area of interest. I still carry my love for domestic animals, and as I don't have my furry babies on the island, I'd love to help care for others' pets. I'm working part-time as a barista and am looking to expand my career in animal photography! Ideally, I'll be able to have the ability to work with time and location freedom. My current flexibility allows me to show up as a great person sitter! I'm able to walk and/or watch dogs as frequently as needed, considering the distance and specific needs. I'm happy to talk and work out a schedule that works for both of us! I'm honest and prioritize honesty and communication, so I'm more than happy to chat. I live in the top story of a house with 3 other women. There is no backyard access, but I would be happy to take the pet for frequent walks, or a cat would be able to roam around my room. I think staying in the pet owner's space would be ideal, both for the pet's comfort and environmental constraints.
