“Danielle was very flexible, timely and responsive, and sent lots of pics which we loved! Made our time away much less stressful. We would recommend Danielle to anyone!”

About: I've had my own pets for over ten years, including a reactive dog so I know all pups need love! I've been the go-to dog and cat sitter for friends and family since I could drive, everything from weekend trips to month long visits, I've always been happy to help! As a pet parent we all know we need extra hands sometimes! I work part time, so although the times might vary based on the day, I have plenty of time to hang out with your pets! I know how hard it is to leave your furry babies, so I try to make sure that I do my best to quell that anxiety when I can! I've had to leave my pups with friends and loved ones before, so I know that worries of someone outside of your family stopping in. I listen to all boundaries just the same as I would expect a pet sitter to do for me. That's the golden rule: Treats others (and their spaces) how you would want to be treated.
“Zoe did such a good job sitting my cat. On her visits, shefollowed all the details of my instructions and insured that the automatic feeder and water dispenser were working properly, cleaned the cat litter, etc. She did such a great job. She gave great attention to my very needy cat. I would highly recommend Zoe if you’re considering having your cat or any type of pet looked after.”

“Quinn is great, came home to a very happy cat! They're super responsive and easy to talk to. Knew our cat was in safe hands while we were away. Thanks Quinn!”

About: I work part‑time and have a very flexible weekly routine, which means I’m able to spend extended, consistent time with pets throughout the day. I’m usually home for large stretches of the morning and early afternoon, and I keep my schedule intentionally open so I can prioritize walks, playtime, and companionship. Pet care is part of my daily routine; I schedule structured walks, maintain consistent feeding and play times, and provide attentive house‑sitting throughout the week. I’m an extremely outdoors‑focused person; long walks with any animal are my daily reset. In both my home and clients’ homes, I provide dependable, attentive care through structured walking routines and responsible, detail‑oriented house‑sitting.

“Second time having Louise as a sitter. She’s great, my cats may not appreciate her but I do. Being available over thanksgiving is hard as a sitter, I know. But she was and I can’t express how much I appreciate that!!”

“Kayln was a pleasure to work with and took excellent care of my cat! I really appreciated her attention to detail for my cat's specific routine and the update photos she took each visit. I will definitely book with her in the future!”

“Haley did a wonderful job caring for my service dog, Meli. She came to play with her and take her for a walk, and it was clear right away that she was comfortable with dogs and very attentive. I appreciated her reliability and the care she showed while spending time with Meli. I would absolutely recommend Haley to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and great with dogs, and I would happily have her back again.”

“Kayla took exceptionally good care of our kitty Nutmeg while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. Nutmeg adored Kayla! Nutmeg is a very social cat and craves attention. Kayla spent extra time with Nutmeg to make sure she didn't get too lonely while we were away. Kayla continuously sent us pictures of Nutmeg and kept us updated on Nutmeg's welfare. She also made sure our garden and plants were well watered. We will definitely try to book Kayla in the future.”

About: Hi! I am Bethany. I am a fur-mom of a 6-year-old kitty, Olivia, and an 12-year-old dog, Syd. I have had animals my entire life (31 years!), and I have extensive experience with sitting other people's animals. I have been pet sitting since high school, and I still do it today. I play with animals of all shapes and sizes, and would love to meet yours! I am in grad school remotely, so I have a super flexible schedule! I have a 5-year-old kitty, Olivia, and an 11-year-old dog, Syd, so I don't do overnight stays. I care for your pets however you ask me to! I love animals, and respect that they're your babies, and I will follow your care guidelines.
“Molly did a great job taking care of my Frenchie, she always communicated promptly about any issues that arose and shared a very thorough summary of each and every drop-in. She asked the right questions, and quickly replied to all of my messages. I definitely recommend her and will gladly use her services again in the near future.”

“Brianna was so wonderful at taking care of our cat while we were gone. He had an ear infection and she was able to give him his ear drops and check on him and help us feel at ease while out of town. We would definitely recommend!”

“WOW!! So impressed with Casey!!! He took great care of our pets and home. Sent us happy pics of the animals, tracked his walks. Kept us updated with notes that really communicated how our pets were behaving. Since we know our pets, we really knew he was spending time with them. And the animals were all happy and not stressed when we came home. The house was clean, he kept up with our litter boxes and also brought in mail or deliveries. He also brought in our recycle can without us asking him to. We would hire him again and again!”

“August was amazing! My dogs loved him, even my old crabby dog. He was also very accommodating to the schedule we needed. I would trust August with my dogs anytime! So thankful to have found him!”

“I will absolutely be reaching out to Luisa next time I need a pet sitter. They took time to meet in person beforehand, asked thoughtful questions on care, and took great care of my cat while I was away. I highly recommend Luisa as a pet sitter, you can be confident your pet is good hands.”

“Josephine and her daughter did a great job with drop-in visits taking care of our dog Sadie. Flexible and accommodating to our schedule with daily check-in pictures. Will definitely use again on our next trip.”

“We had Ken for a 2 day house sit for our dog, Flash. In all of our years using Rover, we’ve rarely had a sitter who loves Flash as much (maybe more!) than we do. Ken even made a special late evening visit outside of those that were scheduled just to make sure Flash had a little extra love before bed. We came back to a tidy home and happy pooch. Will definitely have Ken back again!”

Kaycee is an absolute gem. She took great care of Brutus and it was such a pleasure to have her looking after my boy. She spoiled my best bud with some walks, snuggles, and lots of cheese snackies. I had not a single worry while he was in her care. Having that peace of mind is priceless

Emma visited our cat for several days while I was gone on short notice. This was the second time she has been our cat sitter, and we were just as happy this time as the first. Emma's communication is great and she is very responsive and flexible. Best of all, she loves our cat and our cat loves Emma. Thank you, Emma!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Liv has been absolutely wonderful with my dogs, Finn and Carter. She’s reliable, communicative, and clearly genuinely cares about them. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing they’re being checked on by someone so attentive and kind. She always sends thoughtful updates and photos, and I can tell my boys are comfortable and happy with her. Finn and Carter both took to her right away, which says a lot. I really appreciate how dependable and caring she’s been, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
