“Leah was fantastic with my dog. They were attentive, reliable, and followed all care instructions perfectly. She took my dog out on lots of hikes to stay active. Communication was excellent throughout with lots of photo updates. She even got my dog a small stuffed animal as a holiday present. Would book again.”

About: I am a reliable dog and cat sitter, and have several friends and coworkers who can attest to this. Pet sitting brings me so much joy! Unfortunately I’m not in a place to have pets of my own, so I thought this would be a great way to spend time with animals and make some extra cash! My schedule is currently fairly flexible, as I am hybrid remote and on summer hours! I can do pretty much any day/time of the week, though this may change seasonally. I make sure to spread my time and love evenly between pets, respecting their space but giving them lots of scratches and playing with them when they want or need. I am always down to go for walks, play fetch, or just hang around the house together!
About: With a lifelong background in animal husbandry, I possess extensive experience providing dedicated care for many ages and breeds of dogs and cats. I have taken care of pets of all ages and am comfortable with both new puppies and senior animals. I currently have a full time job as a mechanical engineer and travel frequently for work. As such, I don't own any pets (aside from fish), but would like to have them around during the weekends. With over 20 acres of open property and direct access to the Bitterroot River, your dog will enjoy abundant outdoor exercise strictly on a leash for maximum safety. When indoors, I utilize secure dog crates for pets that require them to ensure a structured, peaceful environment during downtime or feeding. By combining expansive, supervised outdoor leashed walks with a structured indoor routine, I create a trustworthy and secure sanctuary for your pet.
“I am so happy to have found Sara! She was so accommodating, and treated my pup like one of her own. Highly recommend and will definitely use her in the future.”

“Jessica was very nice and caring with my sweet girl Stella 🎀 I didn't think my dog was ready to go home with me after having so much fun! lol, I will definitely book her services again. Thank you! Jess again, for taking care of my little friend.”

“Taylor was great from start to finish! She took great care of my pup, gave great updates, and was very flexible when our plans changed at the end of our trip. She was always quick with communication, which is something I really appreciate. Would highly recommend!”

“We are first time puppy owners so we were a bit nervous leaving our dog with a sitter for the first time, but Mabel’s kind energy instantly put our nerves at ease. She gave us regular updates, sent us lot of pictures and videos, and even took her on hikes and fun adventures! Highly recommend her!!!”

“Perfect, perfect, perfect! Meaghan is awesome. I picked up a tired and happy dog from adventures. I think my dog had more fun than I did on my trip! Great people, great location, great response time. I will definitely hit Meaghan up again the next time I head out of town.”

About: I have trained one dog since she was 6 weeks old and is now 7. I also have a rescued abused dog that I trained that is 2.5 now. I have been around dogs and cats my whole life. I work full-time but can frequently stop by to take care of your pet. I love walks as well and playing fetch (or whatever your pet prefers). I would stop by at least 3 times a day and walk at least twice. For now, I will not house pets more than 2 pets in my home due to limited space. When you book me, I would love detailed information on what you expect from me!
“Maddie was so wonderful and really made leaving my pup easy as could be! She was super communicative about plans and updates and even took care of some unexpected puppy messes without hesitation. I would 100% call on her again!”

“Naomi and Ryan were fantastic with our 12 year old lab! Naomi was great at communicating during the week long stay, texting regularly with updates and photos. Naomi and Ryan confidently handled the needs of our older pup that came up during the week and we felt comfortable knowing Pika was in good hands. Thank you!”
“Had a great experience working with Megan. She was very communicative and ensured my pup got exercise during her boarding including a hike which was really appreciated. Thanks!”

Brianna is the best! I’ll be reaching out to her every time I need Murphy to go explore the world. He got to go hike and play with other pups. He was in great hands and played so hard bed time came fast when he got home. Thank you Sooooooo much. 10/10 100% and just good people. Felt that from the start. See you next.

Our standard poodle stayed with Jennifer and her pack for two weeks. She sent regular updates and pictures, and was patient and creative dealing with Micah's quirk of not wanting to eat on a regular basis. Now he looks forward to breakfast and dinner. We appreciate Jennifer soooo much.

Mila clearly enjoys her time with Nicole. Our dog is very active and Nicole makes sure she gets out on the trails and uses up her energy. This is our second time bringing Mila to Nicole and we are so happy we have someone in Missoula to bring her to when we are in town/passing through.

Beau had such a great time with Emma and Brody! Our doggo is a pretty anxious guy and he settled very quickly and Emma had no problem with him. He got plenty of walkies and even a couple of car rides. Emma also provided daily updates and photos that were much appreciated. 15/10 would recommend Emma to watch your furry friends.

We are so grateful for Nickolas! He takes wonderful care of our Frenchie Cleo — she is always so excited to see him and his sweet dog, Margie. We love the photo updates Nickolas sends and it helps when we are away to see how much fun our girl is having. I would absolutely recommend Nickolas as a dog sitter — we are so lucky to have been connected!

Haley was great with my two dogs. She was prompt in responding, checking in. She even let us know she took them on a great long walk. So important to feel like your fur babies are taken care of. We were coming into town for a concert in our RV and did not want to leave them all day. Thank you so much Haley. Bob and Barb

Tlhis was my first time leaving my Aussie Steel with a dog sitter. He's with me almost 24/7 because of my job. I'm sure I had a much harder time than he did! Ben told me about some of his regulars that he watches, and that they would be coming when Steel wad there. From the videos that Ben sent to me and the updates, I could see Steel was in good company and doing great!! He got lots of outside time, ate well and was completely worn out from a hike when I picked him up! :) I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Ben

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
