“Nickolas did a great job boarding our two dogs for a few days. He was very responsive and the dogs were fine with him. I felt comfortable leaving them after I met him and his adorable dog.”

“This is an excellent property if you’re leaving your pooch for a few days. Lots of space with an excellent care provider. Sarah kept us updated with activity reports and (fantastic) photos. We will absolutely bring Duke back here again!”

About: I nanny for a couple families and they have had me dog/house sit for them regularly. Over the years they have started recommending me to their friends and family as well. I work full time from 7:30-5:00ish but my job allows me to come and go whenever! My weekends and evenings consistent of nothing, as well as my early mornings! I would want my pets to be treated like family. If the weather is nice, we may go to the dog park or for a walk. Lots of cuddles, naps, and treats will be on the to-do list as well 🥰
“Carmen was wonderful! She was very flexible with pick up and drop off times and sent multiple updates on our girl. We picked up a very happy doggo. Can't wait to use her again.”

About: I have been caring for animals since pet sitting for my aunt and uncle’s 3 rowdy dogs as a teen, sometimes up to a month when they went on long trips. I also have cared for dogs of my own for most of my adult life and consider them to be members of the family. My current dog Ron has some special care needs which has taught me to be patient and sensitive to pups who need a little extra care and attention. I would love to welcome your furry buddy into our home and would treat them like another member of the family. I currently work from home so am able to give your pup lots of attention and exercise. I also am a very active person and love to frequent the local trails if that is something you would like for your pup. I have a fenced front and back yard and a dog door that can be locked if need be. I have multiple dog beds and also allow dogs on the furniture (I of course will not allow it if it’s a behavior you don’t want your dog to learn). Like I said, I consider them to be part of the family.
“Chimmy had a great stay with Ben! He took her on a camping adventure, got her outside for plenty of exercise and fun, and she enjoyed the company of Tuuli. We were able to enjoy a weekend away knowing our dog was in great hands. We hope to book with Ben again! Thank you.”

“We are first time puppy owners so we were a bit nervous leaving our dog with a sitter for the first time, but Mabel’s kind energy instantly put our nerves at ease. She gave us regular updates, sent us lot of pictures and videos, and even took her on hikes and fun adventures! Highly recommend her!!!”

“Taylor was great from start to finish! She took great care of my pup, gave great updates, and was very flexible when our plans changed at the end of our trip. She was always quick with communication, which is something I really appreciate. Would highly recommend!”

“Charlie had an amazing time with Mia. She sent updates along the way and was even able to help out and pick Charlie up and drop her off around my flights. Highly recommend! We will definitely use Mia again for future travels.”

“Lucy was so accommodating and welcoming to Oliver, my anxious little scruffy terrier. They quickly became pals and he liked having a sleepover and hanging at her house. I appreciate her acceptance of his funny quirks and her kindness.”

“Jessica was very nice and caring with my sweet girl Stella 🎀 I didn't think my dog was ready to go home with me after having so much fun! lol, I will definitely book her services again. Thank you! Jess again, for taking care of my little friend.”

About: I have houses sat and pet sat for going on 7 years in Washington, Montana and California- I’m experienced with all kinds of breedings and training as well. I have grown up with dogs and cats all my life and often prefer animals to people. I have watched over many animals since I was in high school and love watching over pups and cats of all kinds. I am currently working from home so there is plenty of time to attend to the doggies, I live right near the Clark Fork so a bonus if they enjoy water time! I live in a condo building steps away from a walking trail and the downtown area that provides lots of lovely strolling areas. The condo itself is quite large with a deck for the pups to relax on if they need some sunny time.
“Noelle was very accommodating and easy to work with. We needed a sitter on short notice and she jumped right in and worked it out for us. Highly recommended and and I would definitely rebook with her again.”

“I am absolutely thrilled with this dog-sitting experience! Savannah was incredibly attentive and loving towards my guy, Logan, ensuring he felt comfortable and cared for! Daily updates with photos made my time away so much easier. I could tell Logan had a blast with walks, playtime and a dip in the creek! I highly recommend Savannah to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter! I will definitely book again. 🐾”

About: Hello! A bit about me: my name is Elena and I’ve had animals for as long as I can remember, mainly cats and dogs. If you know me, you know I will stop and say hi (and hopefully pet) any cat or dog I meet! Both my partner and I have grown up with animals and would love to welcome your pets in our home. My partner and I can coordinate our schedules so potty breaks can be every 4 hours or less when we both are home during our days off! We don’t have any pets at home, so rest assured that all our energy will go towards taking care of your pet! We have a lovely fenced backyard and live in a very quiet neighborhood, close to many amenities and parks!
About: I have had pets all my life and took great care of them all. I’m very loving, funny and share any extra time with my pets. At the time I’m feeding feral cats, squirrels, birds and always have a bowl of water out to any creature passing by. I work full time and live 5 minutes away. Lunch breaks allow me to come home and check on my own furry love bugs and yours as well. I have a nice backyard with a fence which to date is escape proof. I love dogs and want you to know your pooch will be loved and treated as one of my own.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lolo
Chaco was so happy during drop off. She must have remembered Gabby and the family. We enjoyed the pictures and communication while away. Chaco loved her swim in the river, walks with the family, and play time with Juni. Super grateful for Gabby and the family for caring for Chaco. 🐾

Gabrielle took such good care of our dog and new puppy! She went on walks down by the river, played with the dogs, and sent us pictures throughout the day so we could see how they were doing. We definitely trust Gabrielle and highly recommend her. She is just wonderful. Thank you for everything you did to make our dogs happy. Our oldest dog, Tucker, didn't want to leave Gabrielle's house when we came to pick up the dogs after our trip. A true testament to how well they were treated. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
