“Megan and Matt took amazing care of my two dogs! They took them on a hike everyday and made them feel comfortable in their home. Marley is 15 so it’s always hard for me to leave him but they were so patient with him and even hiked with him in his backpack! They also sent pictures every day and I really enjoyed that. I would definitely recommend Megan and Matt!”

“Emma is extraordinary, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. Cleo got tons of snuggles, comfortable lounging time, and plenty of exercise. She got long walks on her favorite trails and playtime with Emma’s dog, Brody. Emma is very experienced and confidently handled Cleo’s personality quirks and occasional reactivity. She also sent detailed updates and absolutely gorgeous photos. I would trust her with Cleo again in a heartbeat.”

“Memo was WONDERFUL! I have a two year old border collie who is extremely high energy. Memo really took the time, and went the extra mile to WEAR. HIM. OUT. She was very sweet with our dog, and took care of him as if he were her own. Memo seemed very intuitive to our dogs needs, and adjusted things so he would be more comfortable. Memo was very commutative, and gave wonderful pupdates! Our dog had a freaking blast, and I'm extremely grateful we booked with Memo. 10/10 would recommend!!!”

“Nicole was great to my pup, took her out for two walks a day, hiked with her and played with her in the yard. She sent updates daily with pictures. It’s clear that she really loves and understands dogs and I felt very comfortable leaving Lela with her.”

“Five stars! This was our first time leaving the pups with someone and I am so grateful we found Jen. I knew they were being taken care of and loved like her own pets. It was easy to communicate and I received photos and updates and that really helped us while being away from them. We will definitely be taking our doggies back to stay at Jen’s!”

“Teresa's home was a good place for Nessie, my husky, to stay. She has a nice backyard with tall fences to keep her contained, and our dogs did fine when greeting. Teresa sent photos which is always nice to see. I would use her again.”

“Andrea and her pup, Ruger, came through when we had an unexpected trip come up. She took care of our dog-girl with no issues at all. Would definitely use her again!”

“It is always reassuring when Kerry and her family take care of our pups when we are out of town. Our two dogs love Kerry and family, and are always happy to go. Thank you!!”

“Gabrielle took such good care of our dog and new puppy! She went on walks down by the river, played with the dogs, and sent us pictures throughout the day so we could see how they were doing. We definitely trust Gabrielle and highly recommend her. She is just wonderful. Thank you for everything you did to make our dogs happy. Our oldest dog, Tucker, didn't want to leave Gabrielle's house when we came to pick up the dogs after our trip. A true testament to how well they were treated. Thank you!”

“Our older dog was well taken care of by Ellen. We received cute updates and quick communication. Would be happy to have her look after our Sidney again and Sidney would be happy to see her!”

“Barbara took good care of my Aussie doodles! She sent me lots of pictures that helped set my mind at ease that the pups were doing well. We would book with her again.”

“Brianna was so very responsive and and understanding about missing our doggie. She sent updates and pictures everyday and was quick to respond to messages. She took our dog for walks and big adventures that my GPS really needed! We had our high energy dog with her for a week and our dog came back to us healthy and happy.”

“Dani is sweet! My Soka loves visiting her. She gets plenty of exercise in walks and lots of nurturing snuggle time. Dani is great with communication and flexibility. Will continue to use when possible”

“Jillian was amazing and truly went above and beyond for me when it came to taking care of Muffin. So thankful for them and will absolutely use them again for future needs”

“Lucy was so accommodating and welcoming to Oliver, my anxious little scruffy terrier. They quickly became pals and he liked having a sleepover and hanging at her house. I appreciate her acceptance of his funny quirks and her kindness.”

“Fernie had such a good time, and the property is perfect for a high energy dog like Fernie to romp around and enjoy the views. Good communication and updates the entire time :)”

“Leah treated my dog Boo like a king. I couldn't have been happier about his stay with her, and neither could Boo. Leah's a great communicator-I received daily feedback of what they were doing, where they went, and reports on his behavior, how he got along with her dogs, and pictures(!). She has 2 dogs that were super playful and sweet with Boo. Leah was very careful to introduce our dogs first, which clued me in to how responsible and caring she is. While Boo was there, not only did he get to play in her yard and cuddle on the couch with her (um, he's 65 lbs and growing), she also took him on outings-including the dog island! I would definitely use Leah again and felt super comfortable about her taking care of my buddy. Highly recommended. Thank you Leah-from both of us! You're awesome!”

“Maeve had an awesome time with Nick and Margie! She really enjoyed the large fenced in yard and having another dog to play with. We will definitely be booking again!”

About: I have been caring for animals since pet sitting for my aunt and uncle’s 3 rowdy dogs as a teen, sometimes up to a month when they went on long trips. I also have cared for dogs of my own for most of my adult life and consider them to be members of the family. My current dog Ron has some special care needs which has taught me to be patient and sensitive to pups who need a little extra care and attention. I would love to welcome your furry buddy into our home and would treat them like another member of the family. I currently work from home so am able to give your pup lots of attention and exercise. I also am a very active person and love to frequent the local trails if that is something you would like for your pup. I have a fenced front and back yard and a dog door that can be locked if need be. I have multiple dog beds and also allow dogs on the furniture (I of course will not allow it if it’s a behavior you don’t want your dog to learn). Like I said, I consider them to be part of the family.
“Left my relatively new to me dog with Sarah and her family for 3 days. I got plenty of picture updates and assurance my dog was happy. Sarah is very knowledgeable about dogs and took great care of my girl.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lolo
Gabrielle took care of Ellie as if she were a member of the family. Regular walks to the river and even adjusted her diet to a healthier diet which we plan to continue. Ellie loved hanging out with Gabrielles dog and her children. We got many pictures every day that reassured us whie we were on our international trip. We will definitely have Gabrielle watch Ellie when we need a caregiver for Ellie in the future.

Gabrielle took such good care of our dog and new puppy! She went on walks down by the river, played with the dogs, and sent us pictures throughout the day so we could see how they were doing. We definitely trust Gabrielle and highly recommend her. She is just wonderful. Thank you for everything you did to make our dogs happy. By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
