“Would and will recommend Lexie for anyone who needs to have someone take care of their fur babies! She keeps in contact and keeps you updated on what’s happening during visits!!”

“Gabrielle was fantastic with our dog! She was flexible to make it work for us on short notice. She was a great communicator and sent lots of updates about how our pup was doing. She gave her lots of walks around the neighborhood and down to the river! Can’t suggest her enough!”

“Lea was great with Max, who is very nervous around new people! We really like that she requires a meet & greet, since it gave Max a chance to warm up to her with us around. We’ll definitely book again with her in the future!”

“Kayln was a pleasure to work with and took excellent care of my cat! I really appreciated her attention to detail for my cat's specific routine and the update photos she took each visit. I will definitely book with her in the future!”

“Leah has been an absolute godsend for our Loki! We’ve had her stay at our home while on vacation as well as having her drop in to provide him with much needed stimulation and exercise. He is always worn out and happy! He loves her! I recommend Leah 100%!!”

“Carlee took great care of our dog while we were gone. She was very attentive and took great pictures to show us how he was doing. Great communication as well. Would definitely recommend Carlee!”

“Bri took great care of my two kitties while I was away. I came home to happy cats and a clean living space! One of my cats has a disability that requires extra attention with feeding and the health issue has lead to my own anxiety around pet care. Bri gave me so much peace of mind while I was away and often out of service. I highly recommend her. If she’s available in the future I’ll be happy to book with her again. Thank you, Brianna!”

About: I work part‑time and have a very flexible weekly routine, which means I’m able to spend extended, consistent time with pets throughout the day. I’m usually home for large stretches of the morning and early afternoon, and I keep my schedule intentionally open so I can prioritize walks, playtime, and companionship. Pet care is part of my daily routine; I schedule structured walks, maintain consistent feeding and play times, and provide attentive house‑sitting throughout the week. I’m an extremely outdoors‑focused person; long walks with any animal are my daily reset. In both my home and clients’ homes, I provide dependable, attentive care through structured walking routines and responsible, detail‑oriented house‑sitting.

About: I love all animals and will treat them with as much love and care and attention as I would any living creature. All creatures deserve attention, validation, kindness, patience, and love. My specialties :). I work for myself making custom cakes, so have a very flexible schedule for your needs and can adjust as needed! I would love to be a part of your furry child's happiness and fulfillment!! I take great pride in my space and keep a tidy home free of all hazards to fuzzy critters, as I have 3 of my own. I take pride in my integrity and will always be upfront, direct and honest. I consider myself an individual of sound mind and judgment and will respect any space I am in as if it is my own. I love to have fun and animals are a big source of that for me. I never raise my voice and try to maintain a happy and calm environment for all the furry creatures around me.
“August was amazing! My dogs loved him, even my old crabby dog. He was also very accommodating to the schedule we needed. I would trust August with my dogs anytime! So thankful to have found him!”

About: Ive been fortunate enough to grow up with dogs and cats in the house my whole life! Friends and family have reached out to me for the bulk of my life for house sitting and pet sitting needs. I love the outdoors and find a lot of dogs are the perfect companion to have by your side in the wilderness! Currently only working part time leaving me plenty of time to hangout with your furry friends! I have a lot of spots in town I like to hike at and love bringing dogs along with me. I love spending time just playing and hanging out with animals to keep me busy throughout the day as well! I really try to match the routine of the owners for the pets so they don’t get too stressed out being gone from you! I have animals of my own and know how important it is to want your animals to be in good hands and not having to stress about them not enjoying their time away from you.
“Nicole was wonderful with my old kitty! At eighteen years old, Lola needs a little attention and her food. Nicole did a great job of taking care of both and when I got back home Lola was relaxed. Thanks Nicole!”

About: I've always had pets. Been very good at taking good care of them. My last two were elderly. I've housesat for multiple friends. Im very active with animals if they want to be active or calm and cuddly when they don't. I genuinely just love all animals and seem to bond with most. Just hope I get the opportunity to bond with your animal, cause they're my favorite. I work full time from 8 to 4:30 at the university. I have weekends off. I do have a few hours of a class on Saturdays. I have a small apartment and two roommates, one of which, doesn't want animals around. But im willing to house sit. And I'm a cordial house guest. I do my own dishes, buy my own groceries, and maintain the environment. I like to leave things like I found them. I've been a custodian for 8 years.
About: I've been fortunate to always have pets in my life, and I currently have a 6 year old black cat named Salem. I've done dog sitting for friends and family in the past, and I've never met a doggo I didn't like. I work remotely as an engineer for a Montana-based company, so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule for drop in visits and overnight stays. I occasionally have to travel for work, but typically have at least a few weeks notice. Unfortunately unable to care for pets in my own home at this time, but I'm happy to stay overnight in yours if needed. Otherwise, happy to drop in during the day for visits, walks, etc.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
