About: I'm a wildlife biologist who grew up with pets of all kinds. I provide 24/7 personalized care in a safe, loving, and playful environment. Your pet will join my family: our well-socialized dog Juniper, my husband (also a wildlife biologist), and our 2 daughters. Your pet will enjoy access to our comfortable indoor living areas and a large, securely fenced backyard. I am experienced with puppies and senior dogs and only take one client at a time (up to 2 dogs). I am always with or near the dogs, so they are never left alone. I work from home on part-time contracts and care for our family dog while kids are at school. I'm able to offer daily walks and as many mealtimes, potty breaks, and attention as your pet needs. At night, pets sleep inside in whichever arrangement is preferred for them. It can be so hard to leave a beloved pet, but not to worry, I truly like to give pets their best life! I'm able to care for well-socialized pets and provide plenty of exercise and affection every day, and cozy resting spots where I am never far. I have a large fenced yard and 2 crates available if needed (unless instructed to use a crate, I do not use them). Reactive dogs are not a good fit for my home.
“This was our first time using Rover and wow! Chico had a wonderful time, and Tavia kept us updated throughout the day with photos. We are so happy with Tavia and her communication. If we are ever back in the area, we will send our pup there again!”

“Brianna is AMAZING!!! My sweet little dog has special needs and is in a chair. She asked so many questions to make sure she could keep Frances active and provide the best care for her. I felt so comfortable with Frances in her care. Frances was happy when I picked her up and got excited every day that we pulled up to her house. THANK YOU for your amazing care!!!! Any time I am in town for work I will always work with Brianna :)”

About: I have been caring for animals since pet sitting for my aunt and uncle’s 3 rowdy dogs as a teen, sometimes up to a month when they went on long trips. I also have cared for dogs of my own for most of my adult life and consider them to be members of the family. My current dog Ron has some special care needs which has taught me to be patient and sensitive to pups who need a little extra care and attention. I would love to welcome your furry buddy into our home and would treat them like another member of the family. I currently work from home so am able to give your pup lots of attention and exercise. I also am a very active person and love to frequent the local trails if that is something you would like for your pup. I have a fenced front and back yard and a dog door that can be locked if need be. I have multiple dog beds and also allow dogs on the furniture (I of course will not allow it if it’s a behavior you don’t want your dog to learn). Like I said, I consider them to be part of the family.
“Needed a last minute daycare situation while on the road, Lauren’s place was perfect! My dog was able to play with a fun group of other dogs in a beautiful setting just outside of town. Thank you so much! Will def be back the next time we’re in the area!”

“Could not have a nicer kind hearted person as Danielle to watch our pup! She sent lots of updates and pictures! So happy we got a chance to meet her!”

“Megan is both responsive and responsible. She seamlessly folded my dog Emerson into her play time with her cute dog Cheddar. She sent several pictures to show that Emerson had a great day! I would definitely use Megan again if I need sitting in the Missoula area. Thanks Megan and Cheddar!”

“Teresa is the best! Finn is always excited to go there and has so much fun. Teresa is really great with Finn and has taken him on walks and to the dog park. She also has a great yard for him to play in. Thanks Teresa!”

About: Hi, I’m Jill! I’m happy to accommodate any special requests you may have for your animals. I’m a responsible Missoulian looking to watch some pups. I live in Lolo. My dogs love other dogs and are ready to make some friends, or stay home while I care for your animal! Feel free to ask any questions about me or what I can offer to you and your pup. I have owned my own dogs for the last 9 years. I promise to take good care of your furry best friend and give lots of updates! I primarily work from home and have a flexible schedule most days. Especially with advanced bookings, I’m happy to work with your schedule or needs. I have a fenced yard with a 4’ fence for potty breaks or letting the dogs relax outside. It is not huge, so I normally walk my dogs daily. I can crate your dog, but also do not require that in my home.
About: Hi! I’m Kayla I’ve been involved with animals my entire life! I have experience working in a doggy daycare with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I also have 10 years experience working with and caring for horses. I have owned dogs, cats, and small animals through out my entire life! I currently have a dog and a cat. Both of my pets were formerly strays, currently spoiled. I have experience with dog reactive pets too. I am a work from home accountant with an incredibly flexible schedule. I am also in graduate school at DU. I have a dog and cat, integrating another pet(s) into my schedule will not be a challenge. I currently live in a house with a large sectioned yard. I take my dog on at least 3 walks a day and we are a frequent at the dog park. My cat and dog get along great, but the cat tends to avoid new dogs. I am willing to accommodate any needs a clients dog may have.
“Alyssa was super easy to communicate with. I was glad Maizey got to spend the day running out her energy with Dolly. Maizey is definitely a handful, so it’s always good when she can get out some of that puppy energy.”

About: Animals have been a constant in my life since childhood. I've loved and cared for many pets of my own - dogs, cats, ferrets, small animals, reptiles, birds, and fish - which has given me hands-on experience with everything from syringe feeding to crate, house, and litter box training to medical and senior care. I've fostered rescues, volunteered at the Humane Society, worked in pet stores, and looked after friends' and neighbors' pets many times over the years. I'm attentive, calm, and protective, with a deep respect for all living beings. When you trust me with your pet, you can count on them being safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. I'm home throughout the week so pets in my care are never left unsupervised and get plenty of attention, interaction, and companionship. If there are any daytime hours where I may need to be away from home, that will always be communicated clearly with owners ahead of time during scheduling. I have two small dogs and a cat of my own, so I'm very mindful about maintaining a calm environment, always paying close attention to the comfort, boundaries, and safety of each animal. My one-level home has a fully fenced backyard where pets enjoy supervised outdoor time for play, exercise, and potty breaks. Pets in my care are treated like members of the family, and because I prioritize consistent supervision and safety, I do not offer off-property pack walks during boarding stays.
About: I am a full-time journalist who loves to get out on the weekends! I’m originally from Alaska and spend every opportunity I can getting outside with my 15-year-old border collie. I work from home and stay with the animals all day. We wake up early for potty breaks first thing in the morning. Dogs are allowed on the furniture for ultimate snuggles! I have a fenced yard with plenty of animal friends to keep your pet occupied and comfortable. The house is also large enough that if your animal needs space, we can cordon off an area for them to have peace and quiet.
“Ben and Tuuli are the best! My pup was so stoked every time we pulled up to Ben’s house and I knew that he’d be having a great day with them. He was happy and tired after full days of play and walks. Ben is incredibly easy going and responsible. I never had a worry leaving Woody in Ben’s care and would 100% recommend to anyone looking for an awesome pet sitter!”

About: I have house sat and pet sat for going on 7 years in Washington, Montana and California- I’m experienced with all kinds of breedings and training as well. I have grown up with dogs and cats all my life and often prefer animals to people. I have watched over many animals since I was in high school and love watching over pups and cats of all kinds. I am currently working from home so there is plenty of time to attend to the doggies, I live right near the Clark Fork so a bonus if they enjoy water time! I live in a condo building steps away from a walking trail and the downtown area that provides lots of lovely strolling areas. The condo itself is quite large with a deck for the pups to relax on if they need some sunny time.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
